Y460 TICKING

When I start and use my Y460 with Windows 7 HP 64 - bit EE, I hear a ticking sound incompatible, which is not the same frequency as the blinking of the hard disk light activity. Is this a hard drive problem, a fan problem or other hardware problem? Please notify.

No, but it seems to have disappeared for now after using the laptop for a few days. Thanks anyway for your trouble.

  • iPhone 7 weird noise ticking after sending message sound

    Hello

I use an iPhone 7 for 4 days now and yesterday, I, after I send a message (using iMessager, Wechat or Whatsup), I started noticing a sound weird/click tick immediately after application. That weird noise resembles a small distortion in the enclosure which happens after some noise is played.

Did anyone encounter the same problem?

    Thank you in advance.

Same here, but also after taking a screenshot. Shortly after the sound of the camera.

  • Scroll with mouse wheel requires several "ticks" to start scrolling

I recently got a new mouse, and now when you use firefox the scroll wheel doesn't work properly. Everywhere else, I can do simple ticks of scrolling to scroll the content, but in firefox a graduation scroll is simply ignored as are several ticks if a little slow. In order to get firefox to actually scroll with the mouse wheel, I quickly make a few ticks at the same time. This makes for very imprecise control.

I tried to turn off smooth scrolling, hardware acceleration and pixel scrolling, but none of these permits. Any help for firefox to stop ignoring ticks of slow and unique scrolling would be greatly appreciated.

Well, after some searching around, I found that reported on a different logitech mouse and it ends up being the setpoint for firefox extension. I turned that off and scroll began to work properly in firefox.

Have you looked at the section of the Base names of users and passwords are not saved ? There are lots of good information in there.

  • Symbol of the tick in the box of Word

    Hello

I'm trying to see if there is a way to replace the Word default template symbol case 'X' in the Word default template box.

Many forums on the subject are misread - the question isn't simply by adding a permanent symbol tick but using electronic check box under the word Developer tab, once locked checkboxes can be checked electronically and the default symbol that fills the box is an X, it's the default symbol I want to change to a symbol of the tick

the goal is to create a procedure Checklist staff can use on their ipads to electronically check easily with a finger tap, once finished by email one copy, rather than manual paper lists - save the trees and all that, the word default template does not have an option to change this X symbol on the layout of the word model Notebook is a perfect 'note flags' tab that has checkboxes customiseable however the format of the model is not professional looking and appears as a notebook of lined pages (these checklists can be considered by the regulatory staff Govt. and an occasional note book appearance is not appropriate.

Or y at - it a kind of Word application alternative apple for a professional checklist format which can be checked on an ipad?

    Thank you

  • Satellite A300 - Ticking noise all trying to load

    Hello

Recently my satellite A300 has started to make a quiet ticking / clicking noise when it loads with the laptop battery is running. The noise is coming from the inside of the laptop and if I put the charger "brick" to my ear, I hear a noise inside than in in sync with the sound of ticking.

Battery does not charge while the laptop is running (but clicking on icon battery says plugged in, load), the battery tends to remain some fees his establishment. If I turn off the coast, it will charge up to 100% and for the use of the laptop, then everything using it with 100% load without ticking noise is present.

I guess it's a problem with the distribution of energy within the laptop. Does anyone have experience of this type of problem or suggestions about how I might solve this problem?

    Thank you

    Rab

    Hey,.

I agree with the user above. It seems to be a problem if t AC adapter, you may notice the problem without adapter.

If you contact an authorized service provider, you can order a new power adapter. An alternative you can ask the technicians if they also say that this problem s adapter an AC or not.

  • Tecra A7 X 1600 & ticking of the speakers in Battlefield 2

    Hello

I own a Tecra A7 - and I am unconvinced with him... the only less is the not-so-fast x 1600... mobility is not not as fast as other x 1600 mobility.

The 3dmark05 score is much lower than any other unit (non-toshiba) with mobility x 1600.
I installed RivaTuner and I as I expected, the card was much slower than the other x 1600 mobility.
The info on the site says nothing about an x 1600 clocked slower. (He says nothing about the clock speeds).
It's really disappointing to get a score of 2xxx in 3dmark05 when you wait twenty 3xxx, from reading a lot of revies of the x 1600.
I could have just as well buy a non-toshiba with a 6600 unit GB card and get higher scores!
My opinion is that toshiba has put these technical notes, (clock speed) of their specifications to units´, on the site.
In any case, it's too late to get another device... next time, I feel compelled to call toshiba first for info like that.

    So here's my question:

When I'm playing battlefield 2, I always here some sound delay speakers... I hear it in the menu (when the music plays), when loading a game (when the music also plays) and when I'm in the game itself.
I don't have this problem with battlefield 2, all other sounds are OK, also in other games etc.

I have the latest drivers (there is not much available driver updates, most are already 6 months old... another disappointment!) installed for everything and I also tried older audio drivers.

It makes no difference if I install my own windows xp pro or one provided by toshiba... but but works fine with other games, etc... just the ticking of battlefield 2.

Thank you in advance if anyone can help me.

    Hello

What about Hugo? I put t really know if the Tecra is the best machine for the games. As you know much better performance, you can have on some satellites and, of course, on Qosmio laptops. This is a stupid situation, if one of your favorite games doesn't work properly and the performance is not as expected.

I don't see a lot of possibilities. Try to use the graphics designed if possible driver. On this way, you can force the graphics card to work best, but the result may be overheating.

Before the end of the game all unnecessary processes in the Task Manager and make sure that the application of antivir is disabled (very often slow laptop performance).

  • I hear the ticking in the hard drive, but diagnostic tool (S.M.A.R.T) says his health.

Pavilion p6010in Desktop for 3 years using (product number: NC875AA #ACJ), for a few months, I hear the ticking in my hard drive, I suspect that it is its failure of hard drive, but my diagnostic tool (SMART) explains his good health.

Sound indicates a problem. I also use Ubuntu 12.04 with vista (even ubuntu says that the disc is in good health).

I'm confused why the sound is similar to a click of death as seen in the link (my hard drive Seagate Barracuda 500 GB) below

Seagate desktop with heads of default drive get stolen, then clicking sound.

Please tell me what I should do now. I also Plan to upgrade to Windows 8 (I won't use Ubuntu anymore).

I suggest you replace your hard drive before the upgrade to avoid all these problems. The new hard drive should be the same size or larger that one you have for the recovery discs to work properly. Install Windows 8 on the new hard drive.

Once Windows 8 has been installed successfully make a new set of recovery disc for Windows 8 so that if everything fails, you can the recovery disc restores on Windows 8.

  • MacBook makes a ticking noise and doesn't turn on

    Hello world

I have a MacBook, which worked perfectly well until now. When I plug my adapter into my MacBook, it makes a ticking sound and won't turn on. When I unplug it the ticking noise stops. I tried resetting the PRAM and the SMS, I also tried move points of sale, using a different power adapter, none of them seem to work. It's a MacBook Pro with a non-removable battery.

  • Pulse or measure of separation of two edge with implicit synchronization in ticks: what about minVal and maxVal?

When I pulse or measure of separation of two edges, using the implicit synchronization, DAQmx chooses (I think) an internal time base appropriate for the measurement. My X series on Board (a 6320) has for example a time base internal 100 MHz. I think I can apply to the use of a base of specific time (using the Set accessor of property DAQmxSetCICtrTimebaseSrc to set the counter to the value '100MHzTimebase' time base). But the docs of the DAQmxCreateCIPulseChanTicks and DAQmxCreateCITwoEdgeSepChan functions (this last one called with the parameter to the DAQmx_Val_Ticks units) make me spend a minVal and maxVal. Apparently, these values are used to determine a time appropriate for the implied timing base (internally). But how to choose the specific digraph/maxVal values? They are obviously dependent on the time base, so it's kind of a situation / the hen's egg. Should I just say '1' or '0.1' or even '0 '? Because I * want * the time of 100 MHz, to use base. Or can I simply call the DAQmxSetCICtrTimebaseSrc after DAQmxCreateCIPulseChanTicks?

    1. When you use "Ticks" for units, digraph must be > = 2.  DAQmx does not support measures of 0 or 1 "Tick" of a time value.

In general, the parameters that minVal and maxVal are mainly useful for people who are measured in scientific units such as seconds.  They allow DAQmx do the dirty work of correlation required range of programming interface with the basics of time available to the Agency and to make a judicious selection automatically.  For people like you measure in ticks, DAQmx won't do the thinking for you anyway, so just give them plausible values.

    2. Thus, maxVal must simply be a valid 32-bit integer.

    3. Yes, you can explicitly configure to use the time base of 100 MHz after the creation of the task, no doubt thanks to the function, you said "DAQmxSetCICtrTimebaseSrc".  (I do my programming in LabVIEW and don't know the syntax of the api code text driver.)

I believe that if you do not explicitly choose a time base for a task using ticks as units, the Council will use its default time base.  I know there is an api function in LabVIEW to interrogate the database after creating a task, perhaps you have an available too?
