  Certainly a SCAM, you have made the right choice. Never to give them information and never leave access to your PC.

  It is difficult, if not impossible to remove your number from a list of scam once its on it. And it's hard to know how they got it in the first place. It could be a list simple phone book. Recording with things like Telephone Preference Service (United Kingdom) and asking to be made "Red" (BT - UK) can make it harder for them to get a number in the first place, but once they have it probably wont help. It can stop any other do however.

  There are devices like Call Blocker, which can be programmed for their calls not ring your line, but it depends on what number they release when they call. If their number is "held" and then some providers have a service to stop calls "deductions number' to ring your line. ACR service (BT - Uk).

• I can point my Lab Manager 4.0.2 to point to another new vCenter Server?

  I have a client with a LM4.0.2 production and we are considering moving to one another new/a vCenter server.

  It is important to note that the new vCenter will NOT have the same DB or FULL of the old domain name. It's a completely different vCenter with other ESX hosts.

  Now the questions:

  Can I redirect my Lab Manager (VM) at the new vcenter without any problem?

  What of the ESX (resource) on the old vcenter?

  Is it possible to do this without downtime for laboratories? If this is not the case, how can I minimize downtime? cancel the deployment will be enough?

  Does anyone have this done successfully?

  Any comments would be much appreciated.

  There are some excellent discussions within this forum on the same topic.  I strongly suggest to read first, and I'll see if I can find an example.

  Before going further, data warehouses used in the new vCenter/ESX environment will be exactly the same as the current one?  If you want to keep all of your configurations, I need to know that the UUID of the LUN does not change during this process.

  Can I redirect my Lab Manager (VM) at the new vcenter without any problem?

  You can change the IP/domain FULL name vCenter in the settings section of the Lab Manager site... now on the problems that could result.

  You will need to remove anything from the GUI of Lab Manager that has to do with the current vCenter (unedploy, unprepare host esx, resource pools, configurations etc.).  There will be more on this in the dedicated thread

  What of the ESX (resource) on the old vcenter?

  ESX doesn't really matter, it's the data UUID store that matters.  ESX is just virtual machines.  Note: you'll want to throw all States/suspend points on the VMS where processors are different on the ESX hosts.

  No, there will be a form any downtime.  Either that LM site will be useless (no resources with Betclic, consoles will does not work until the guests are prepared, etc.).

  Yes, to cancel the deployment of will help... but there will be some lag as you reconfigure Manager of laboratory to use the new vCenter.

  Gentlemen.

  Like many others, I read the hardware threads on an ongoing basis since getting CS5 about a year, including (I think) all items for damage. I feel that I have a basic understanding of the socket 1366 vs debate 1155/6. No need to re-hash things this time.

  Yet, I think bad and others have made convincing for those who need the best, the X 58 with a big-time RAID configuration cannot be beat for the distribution of data and achieve the Holy Grail - balance. The worst the Z68 is derisory location of PCI-E lanes. I do not fully understand, but he can see that the many alleyways less, shared, is less than X 58. But don't the Z68 missing completely those of us who do not push the envelope? Who have a little more time waiting while the ' puter calculates?

  I am on a budget and just want to spend my AMD Phenom II platform to an Intel platform. I mainly turn student videos of math which, by nature, must be no more than 5 minutes or more in length. My camera is a Canon T2i images so AVCHD. I took the advice of a member of the Board of Directors and will probably start shooting in VGA, questioning the sanity of shooting HD for clips that do not need to run mode full-screen. Overall, my requirements are on the low end (except for the codec. And I am ready to undertake NeoScene as a patch). I suspect that my needs are in line with many of those who can offer the student of CS5 version and find themselves in need of a new platform, but perhaps not ready for professionals.

  Quick Sync appealed to me, that I need to transcode frequently for mobile devices. In addition, other teachers in the building along with camcorders JVC .mov, which means that they can not often change with their favorite software. I find myself any transcoding of our small team.

  As I started to build something again over the summer, I'm trying to settle major issues in the face of those of us tax less end of the spectrum. I'll never get a RAID card, but have an arrangement of 5-disc basis, including a RAID on 2 discs 0 for a film. All I have to to is sorting out which platform is best for my needs of any

  CPU: i7 - 2500K. No Hyper-Threading but technology can overclock beyond more expensive i7-950. Only $30 cheaper than the i7-950. Spend $100 more for i7 - 2600K and get a higher Nehalem processor, but out behind on $$$.

  
  Motherboards: Z68 starts about $130 for a decent spec'ed ASRock Z68 PRO3 to the ' egg. Fall another $20 for a combo with the CPU. Cripes, X 58 boards are expensive!

  After the motherboard, i7 - 2500K and ASRock seek powerful good. $125 less than i7 - 950 and X 58 and who is with a X 58 cheaper Board. In addition, a four-stick kit memory 16GB is about $100 cheaper than 24 GB of G.Skill, rated either in ability Newegg brand. Economy of $225-ish. As long as my needs are satisfied, I'll save money and get a quick synchronization to start. At this point, I'm willing to bet that my short-clip needs will be met, in fact.

  Thesis: Now, here can be the deciding factor - with the price of memory fall big-time, but within reasonable limits maximum memory on each platform. X 58 may take 24 GB, the senior Z68 to 16 GB. I remember Bill Gehrke saying that the first results of the suite of PPBM5 showed a difference in (rendering?) time with the jump to 24gigs. I think that the 16 GB looks like a lot of memory, which is. But dropping $100 for 24 concerts would be a game changer? I don't talk a 24 GB kits cheap with 9-9-9 times, not something jumped to hop to the top. (Requires X 58 memory super - duper or a motherboard $ 300 to run in fact 24 GB?)

  X 58 may take 24 GB triple-channel memory would be the last word? For all of my tent to save $250 or more by going cheap (er) with i7 - 2500K SB, I'll miss on perhaps the most important? Most of the other programs in CS5 uses CUDA to accelerate - would be slightly less powerful i7-950 processor so supplemented by another 8GB (more than 50%!) of system memory that would apparently stealing other programs compared to SB?

  If CS5 works just like a dog scalded on 24 GB, then I will suck and renounce Quick Sync and spend a little more money. I feel there is a difference of opinion if Sandy Bridge is a stronger for the edition CPU (even if there is no debate on X 58 vs Z68 for the processing of data). But it seems that there should be a clearer idea the benefits of 16 vs 24 GB of memory.

  Everyone here would make a decision based on this last aspect?

  Joel, the extra memory essentially has no effect on the scores of PPBM5 with the CS5 version.  We do not yet have any information on the CS5.5.  Look at the fourth note on PPBM5 it has been implemented with 14 GB on an X 58 Board.  Ultra complex timeline manipulation and encoding may be a little different.  I suspect this fall when the Sandy Bridge E CPU and motherboards are released that will start to see the memory strong 8 GB for these cards so that when this produces the current generation Sandy Bridge motherboards will be then be able to be upgraded to 32 GB as some motherboard manufacturers have promised.

• Yet another HD to the amateur DVD SD dilemma

  I own Adobe CS4 Master Suite.

  This is my first project. This is an educational video, an interview with several circles, slides, etc. using the lesson.

  I captured on a HVX - 200 p to 720 p 59 fps direct to OnLocation using a firwire. I modified a few projects AE 1080 p, rendering format 1280 x 720 MP4 and add them to the chronology PP. I also used AE to overlay chroma green screen with Keylight. Then I added for most, if not all, of 1080 p slides, backgrounds, etc. for the cutting plans.

  Finished project. Now is the time to bind dynamically in again to produce a DVD, but the finished product is of poor quality. I know, it's a mistake to amateur mess - several.

  I could not find a solution for a project like this with different source material, i.e., 1080 p and 720 p and perhaps another format or two. There seems to be complex solutions using several third-party software (for example, the workflow Dan Isaacs). However, another post suggests that SOUL of PP in AVI encoding, then import the AVI file and dynamic linking with again will be a beautiful DVD SD. Is this correct?

  Please point me in the right direction. Better yet, if there is a workflow that uses Adobe products to get a good DVD I would appreciate that more.

  Here's what I'd do.

  1. Put everything in a sequence of 720p30.  It's easier PR deal with images of 60 images per second in a sequence of 30 frames per second, vice versa, and it is better to put images up to 720 p 1080 p rather than trying to move up the 720 p to 1080 p.
  2. Define the sequence of parameters of preview for maximum quality, that will carry over to export.
  3. Images 1080 p to the size of the image of the scale.
  4. Ed.
  5. With the workspace toolbar, select a short segment of the timeline that contains the two types of sequences.
  6. Export to DVD MPEG2.
  7. Start the file exported in a new project, then burn a RW en disc, or create a disk en image and burn on a RW disc using ImgBurn.
  8. Play the RW in hardware and/or software DVD player.  See how you like the results

  After return if you have any other questions or are having trouble.

  Yesterday, I disassembled the T60 - B, cleaned the fan, memory up to 2 GB in an accident and swapped the screen with the T60 - C flexview. And replaced broken front with another Panel before broken, but this one doesn't gouge in my thumb.

  Anyway, everything is going very well, no remaining parts and screws and it now works better (and cold) than ever.

  Question is, is there a different display driver should I br running in order to take full advantage of this upgrade of the screen? Maybe I missed something, but I don't see anything on the list of drivers that jumps out to me...

  I think you are missing the point. The T60 has optional motherboards and option screens. Each dimension of plate came in four different styles at least. Card Intel graphics, two with ATI Radaen and two with ATI fireGL. I guess you have a 15 "model and updated since a XGA (1024 x 768) screen to a screen flexview SXGA + or UXGA. Change the screen will not involve the change of pilots, but the flexview screens use a different ups, if you don't change your xga may not be the power inverter to operate the screen to its full potential.

  PS it would have probably been better continue your old topic instead to make a new, or posted at least all the specs of your system in the new if we do not have to guess what you might have.

• Yet another baffling memory problem

  I have a P-6 2120 with the card mother AAHD2-HY (Holly2). I'm having a problem getting it is memory to run in Dual channel mode... I bought a stick of memory Kingston KTH9600C / 4G hoping it would correspond to the HP655410-150-HYCG... Well still wouldn't go in Dual mode (according to CPU - Z). So I bought another stick of KTH9600C / 4g... .but no still no dual mode.  and to make things worst CPU - Z wrote a module is kingston and the other memory elpida with a different model number. I did some research and Kingston don't (don't) use elpida chips in their memory. What's new... I have now 3 4 sticks of memory of Kingston and no combination will run in Dual mode. Am I missing something in the bios or should it start just when they harmonize perfectly. Thanks in advance

  You certainly did your research and did a good job, the RAM you bought meets all requirements of the motherboard. I think you could look at modifying the Bios to change the settings manually. I found information about an Intel Web page that says:

  You asked how you would know, good question! The trick is to look at more than just the features of HP and the motherboard. Looking at the specifications of the RAM, you can learn more about the calendar and compatibility! Upgrading Ram is not always an easy task!

• Laser Jet Pro 200 color MFP m2: yet another scan inaccessible victom!

  Like many people here, my HP Lj200 M276 Scan software decided to stop working. I have installed and reinstalled the software, running printing HP Scan doctor, arrested and and started WIA and practically everything else except the reinstallation of the operating system, but I stll get THIS...

  What the HELL am I supposed to do now? I have already started, stopped and reset the WIA and depedant services without solution.

  Well well, after much experimentation, installation/uninstallation of drivers and to change network configurations, I found the solution.

  Do not use wireless!

  Going back through the history of my network, I realized that the last time that my scanner was working is when I got the printer connected to the router with a cat5b ethernet cable. So I released a port on my router, disabled the function the printer wireless and cable.

  Down and behind, the scanner software works! I can scan with the 10 Windows scanning program and the HP scanning software.

  The only explanation I can come up with, is the different network speeds, that my router supports. The wired devices run at 100Mbit, while wireless devices can be executed at 50Mbit. When I on the printer wirelessly, my computer has been connected to the router.

  When the software is run, he tried to scan, I could hear the scanner run. But to halfway through its operation the error jump upward. When I used another wireless device to scan from the printer, in this case a laptop, it worked without problem. Now that the printer is connected to the router matches the speed of the network from my computer and the printer and everything is good.

  Also, the laptop works also, so this suggests that software was delay due to the faster connection, before the printer to finish as long as the speed of connection of printers is half that of the computer.

  This is just speculation, but with everything that I've tried that sounds plausible. In addition, it's not like Support HP offered no solution, then this is the best I can find. Whatever it is, my scanner and the software works.

• Yet another differential save Question...

  Hello.. I try to get incremental save working in a way that can be placed in an ACTION.

  Basically, I'm scanning a large number of small objects (more than 3000 people), and I can hold 18 of the scanner at a time. If I use the script to 'Straiten and culture' the file scanned gets gene and nicely cropped.

  I made an Action that loads the scans from a folder and runs the straiten and reframe the script, then dose a few changes to the cropped image, registers and then it closes. This 'edit/save/close' repeats until all the images are processed in the original.

  The problem is that no matter what I do save file in the batch is always the same, or askes over Scripture. What I would like is a very simple script that records a number of increment on each backup file. There are a lot of discussions on this, but the only one that I could make it work had this script in it...

  It seams to work properly... but there are problems and I'm just a simple paint, scan handle type guy and no idea how to improve it...

  (1) - it records only in "c:\test". I tried to paste other paths in there... like "d:\projects\project name\scans\processed\" but it does not help.

  (2) - Straiten and Crop thin Script called from an action works. If I can do a single action to process the file. The above script works fine in action as well as the actions of edition. The problem is if I call editing / record the action of the action ' open/straiten and cultures', then the script is not error but I can't find the files, it is supposed to do (probably got 1 jpgs billion lost on my drive somewhere now)

• Yet another customer unsatisfied XPS 13 9343 touchpad

  I want to add my voice to the chorus that the touchpad on the XPS 13 9343 (early 2015) gives me fits. I installed the BIOS A01, did not help significantly.

  1. Cursor jumps around under palm ghost touches, even without touching the touchpad
  2. sometimes unable to leave his right hand on the pavement and let button to work with the left hand
  3. sometimes is unresponsive for several seconds. especially vertical scrollbar in Firefox
  4. cursor jumps on the two right and left clicks, often by clicking the wrong button in the process
  5. occasional clicks ghosts when you pull the mouse on the page

  The XPS 13 is a beautiful notebook.  He really need an app fully featured touchpad to set the sensitivity and eliminate too sensitive behaviors.

  By the waay, types also sometimes double keyboard.  Another feature that should be easily resolved with a period of repetition that does not exist.

  Your best bet is to send it back while you still can and are looking for another machine but not from Dell.

  Look at the spectrum by HP for example, it seems to have the same features and cost much less. Search the touchpad before buying.

  Dell has knowledge on touchpad problems for a while and has had plenty of time to give us pilots and a screen put up so that each person can adjust the touchpad to his personal preferences. But in my opinion reason he hangs out and do not admit there is a problem means that Dell is not going to solve the problem.

  Some even want to blame Microsoft, compare that to buy a new car and say Ford says go to manufacturing the parts for an item replaced or fixed. Completely ridiculous!

  I use JDeveloper 10.1.3.4 and still looking for another way to customize the display of an attribute of a display object.
  
  I have two tables: BILL and PRICE, with a composite foreign key relationship (on the fields LDAP_UID and TERM), as illustrated below.
  

  The BILL table:

  It is at the level of model data businesses, relationship master (Bill) /detail (Awards). Bill is dragged out of the range of data control to the page displayed as a form and scholarships is slipped into the page as a table. When tom.smith connects and chooses the TERM 200902, the master and detail are joined on tom.smith = tom.smith and 200902 = 200902, so the $2 000,00 Perkins Loan is recovered for him:

  It works fine but not easy to use: the values in the column of TERMS are a bit cryptic and should be posted in plain language, i.e., 200902 should be displayed as "Spring 2009" and 200906 as "Summer 2009". Advice from the display in the VO cannot handle this. The only other way I know wrote a method in the line of the VO class to do the translation. And here's the result:

  Of course, the "spring 2009" is used not only for display, but also to get to the paintings of master and detail. Of course "spring 2009"! = 200902, so no detail is retrieved for the user.
  
  Question is: is there still a way to customize the display, which does not affect the join of the master and detail tables?

  Have you thought of using a transient attribute for the attribute that displays your alternative values?
