Z10 blackBerry dead after only 5 hours battery

I don't want happened to my Z10, but after only 5 hours and no use a fully charged battery is dead. I bought a new battery but no change. I wish there was an option to completely reinstall the operating system. I have installed all apps

Always start with a battery pull when something goes wrong with your phone.  There could be something in the operating system that is not aware and a battery pull will often correct this.  To make a correct battery pull, remove the battery while your phone is on, then replace it.

I hope that helps you.

  • Satellite L670 - hard drive dead after only 8 months

    Hello

This morning I return my laptop due to defective hard drive problem. After 8 months, he is already dead.

The positives are: I'm still under warranty and the second the software toshiba hilighted me from time to time, allowing me to back up my data before the crash. TKS Toshiba for this very useful tool.

The question is: how a hard drive die that fast after fews month only?

Bad luck or bad use? I wonder.

I wish to have feedback from those L670 who owns the same model (windows 7), to understand if this problem is common or if I was unfortunately concerned.

Also, if there are possible solutions to avoid the stress of the HD for daily use? As for example, reduce writing on this subject (save blu - ray using AnyDvD HD on hd, then cut & paste for external hard drive), or connect too often external hard drive in order to avoid the extra electricity if necessary?

In the future, I have to perform chkdsk more often? Defrag? If Yes, how often?

This is my 3rd phone dying, Sony VAIO = mothercard dead after 1.2 years, Fujitsu Amilo xi = exploded after 3 years and now Toshiba HD after 8 months.

900EUR up to 1600EUR, I do not see significant resistance of one of these models, Sony was the badest ever in terms of longevity of the video card and compatibility (unplayable games after 2 months, no update of the driver), keyboard 'paint' was a mess with deterioration after fews month compared to Fujitsu and Toshiba (no points). Toshiba L670 most recent, was the best in terms of game compatibility.

What should do? Stop buying the laptop or use only fews hours a day with a PC on top?
For time beeing I can't afford to have a PC + a computer laptop that I'm unemployed, surviving with 10EUR per day.
time to find a new job.

Despite this, I managed to buy the new book of the cooler Zelman for my Toshiba 40/50EUR all about, but it did not help apparently.

TKS for your comments about life duration L670 and particularly problem HD + best use to protect it.

    Guillaume

In my opinion the answer is clear: no chance.

In any case, don t think too much on the use of the laptop. Cell phone is designed to operate for a long period, then there is no reason to reduce the time to use on your Toshi.
I use my laptop to work on a daily basis and it works at least 10 hours a day, sometimes one night too many.
Just be careful that your laptop is placed on the desktop, the cooling fans must not be blocked by what it is.

  • Card SIM full blackBerry Smartphones after only 10 SMS messages

I just got my BB 9000 and took my old SIM card and placed in the BB.

On the card SIM was a few SMS messages (the SIM card is only 5 days old) and initially the BB seems to work very well. After receiving very little SMS' are I was presented with an error message saying that the SIM card is full and that I should delete the SMS messages to make room for the new.

I checked the Options-> memory, but it says nothing about the use of the memory on the SIM card and the other figures indicates that the BB itself has of course plenty of room/memory left.

  • NB550D - battery is drained after only 2 hours

    Hello world

After changing the hard drive from my Toshiba laptop, the battery is discharged after 2 h rather than hold the charge of 6, 5 h.

Could you please say what could be the cause? Laptop has BIOS and drivers up-to-date.

I have the same machine and I switched HDD in and installed my own version of the OS, but it has no influence on battery power, so I can't imagine that your behaviour of battery has something to do with the new HARD drive.

Extend the completely empty battery and repeat the full charge. Always the same problem?

  • Satellite T130 - only 6 hours battery performance

    Hi people!

Recently I bougth this laptop but I might have a problem. Toshiba promisses a 11 hours of battery life, but I, with 2 full charge and the battery saving mode, arrived at 6 hours max.

Is this normal? Please, which she, give me your opinion.

    Take care

    Hey,.

It is really hard to say something about it because everything is depending on the applications you run, display brightness, etc.
Here are some tips of battery in good condition:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD9401AZ0001R01.htm

If you have tried only 2 full fees, you should try up to 3 times completely charge and discharge.
    After that the test again.

If you think that something is wrong with your battery, contact your authorized service provider. They can exchange the battery.

  • Toshiba 500 GB external HARD drive is no longer detected - after only 1 hour

    Hey,.

I finally got my Toshiba 500 GB external hard drive delivered today. I had no problem setting up and to turn my laptop on, it immediately recognized and I started to transfer things for her.

However, I accidentally stood on the USB cable to the HARD drive and disconnected. I plugged it in, but my computer did not recognize.

Nothing I've tried has worked, always, the laptop does not recognize the hard drive.

Please help, I've only had the one hour thing, and it already does not work! I really hope that I have not only lost £56...

All advice is appreciated, thanks in advance.

NEW: My father just tried plugging the HARD drive in the desktop PC is on the ground, and as soon as the USB when it is in the port, you stop the computer... causing him to lose a lot of important business email, he wrote. It starts the computer, the USB and you stop again... and this has happened 3 times until he gave up. What on Earth is wrong with this thing? I've never heard of a USB cable, stop a computer permanently, or a hard drive that does more after an hour of use...

    Post edited by: Sam_V631

The USB port on the HARD drive may have been damaged and may be causing the PC detect a short power.

You can try another USB cable? If it is not the cable, then the HARD drive should be sent to a Service Center for repair or replacement.

  • FX 30.0 is it normal that after only 5 hours to use memory exceeds 1,500,000 K?

Hello everything is in my question above. FYI, I have 12 tabs open, and my average is between 10 and 15. Before 30.0 consumption memory was about 600-700 k, but now he rises rapidly to above 1.500.000k.
Accidents happen after 1.700.000 k and one automatic report is sent to Mozilla.

As said I don't have too much problem with that, but it's annoying as my computer slows down.

Best regards to you all. Charlotte

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance

  • Several questions after only 48 hours of buying new computer

I just bought a Compaq Presario CQ62-219WM 2 days ago. So far, he froze and had to be restarted, the mouse does not always, and more recently, I have inserted a CD in the drive to download Microsoft Office and it will not load the CD, run the installation wizard or even eject the CD.  I'm more concerned about the CD - any suggestions on how to get it out? Should I even try again if I can get out? I wonder if I should just return now before things get worse. Help!

With the power off, insert a paper clip straightened in the tiny hole on the CD/DVD drive. Should be right next to the eject button.

Yes, I return it for Exchange.

  • Satellite A110-149: the battery is empty after about an hour

    Hello
I bought a satellite A110-149, but I'm worried for the battery as in only 1 hour or a little more, it is already empty. Is this normal?

If I let my laptop connected to an outlet throughout the day, this can make my battery less efficient?

    Thank you!

    Hello

Laptop battery of specification of the run time is until 1:45. But I think it is quite unrealistic. Battery life depends on many factors like the profile selected in the intelligence tool, run the applications and processes and perhaps the use of the optical disk drive.

At the end I can tell you that there is no problem and this time rung is normal for this laptop and battery 4 cells.

  • Satellite L650 - 18 c - 0% charged after 2 hours battery

    Hi all

Does anyone have any advice or ideas for what is the cause and how to fix it?

    Thank you

    Hi been,.

In your case I'd wait a bit more. I mean this new book of s you have only several hours and this could take some time until the battery is fully charged.

In your case I would also turn the computer off and wait until the LED battery icon change color and show you a completely charged battery.

  • Z10 blackBerry a way to disable the bluetooth handset and use activate streaming audio only?

I use bluetooth in my car to make or receive phone calls and it only allows you to stream Pandora.  On my previous BBs, I was able to disable the handset function and just use streaming, but I'm not find similar options on the Z10.  Does anyone know how to do this? Right now I just turn off my stereo when I receive a call, but this isn't a good solution.  Thanks for any comments.

Hello oumiahamada and welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

Thank you for your question about Bluetooth.

The Z10 BlackBerry doesn't have the option to edit what services are allowed with a Bluetooth connection.

Depending on your vehicle, you will need to access your Bluetooth set up or the settings in the dashboard of your car to control what features are Bluetooth-enabled.

If you don't know how to access these settings, contact your dealer or see your owner's manual.

    See you soon!

  • HIS 60 dead after trying to update BIOS

Since we bought the machine we had problems with the graphics card when the machine goes to sleep (returns with a low resolution). I checked this forum and found messages recommending to try a bios update. I tried this (using the correct update) and the machine just hung when it ran saying preparing the bios update.

After about an hour, nothing happened and the machine was just hanging - everything we could do was to removed the battery. Now, it is quite dead, and it's not even a power led. We tried to remove the battery, double checked the connection to the sector and he died. Help appreciated - it is a big problem for us.

    Hi Adrien,.

It seems that if the main Board may have failed in your laptop. I recommend contacting a center of Service Toshiba.

  • 360 13 inches x spectrum: spectrum x 360 8.1 Windows stops to get into sleep after a few hours

My x 360 spectrum stops to get into sleep after a few hours of normal behavior.  In other words, when the computer is started first, he put on standby and Hibernate mode then normally after the specified idle period.  It can then be woken up and work normally and then to go back to sleep after inactivity - during a few hours.  It stops working after the computer has been for a few hours.  I don't know exactly how much time must be in place before this problem starts, but once it ceases to be able to sleep, the only way to solve the problem is to reboot the system.  Once the problem occurs, the computer turns off the screen but that's it.  He will sleep if I do it manually by pressing the button of power or a click on the Windows button and forcing them to sleep or hibernation.

I watched powercfg /requests and there is nothing listed that could prevent sleep.  I ran also report with fluo compact powercfg and it also does not list something that prevents apparent sleep.

NOTE: The energy report is also EVEN if the system still works correctly.

I could use help to determine what is the cause of this condition.

I found a thread on Microsoft answers community web site.  Unfortunately, it seems that Microsoft has not fixed even though this thread is over a year.  This has been driving me crazy.  In any case, the problem is with Windows 8.1 and is caused by the use of a Microsoft account to connect to the computer.  If the account is not connected, after a few hours the computer stops to fall asleep.  If you close the MS account, then the computer will sleep normally.  My dose is to convert my connection from the local computer to a local account and disconnect from Microsoft.  This process is easy to do, go into the settings of PC and disconnect the account.  It will keep your original profile.

Here is the link to the thread that got clued in the solution:

I consider this resolved issue that HP is concerned.  Microsoft needs to address the issue.  I'm not interested in switching to Windows 10 for compatibility reasons and, in this regard, the same problem can exist in the W10.
