Z560: power on z560

Little used Digital Entertainment Center now will not be powered.  Power cord changed - still no answer.  Blue light does not come on to the market button / stop.  No response to wireless keyboard or remote control either.

Hi ECdriver,

A computer repairman may be able to help. They will have to find a power supply 250w that will fit inside and also align with the fan.

Good luck.

Thank you
Mike

  • Z560 Upgrade CPU and RAM

    Hello

I want to upgrade Lenovo Z560 CPU, but I'm not sure about this. I see that CPU is easily accessible and it supports the G1 decision-making (988pins) which gives me a lot of options here as i5 and i7 first generation. Specifically, I want to upgrade to i7 extreme but I don't know if my motherboard is capable for it or not, if not then what other options I have i7 range. Can anyone help me please with this. I recently updated the BIOS from v2.11 to v2.15 that caused my windows 8.1 crashing but in some way, I solved this problem and with that please let me know if there is anything else I need to know before upgrading CPU. I have already ordered 2 x 4 GB DDR3 SO - DIMM 204-pin RAM Corsair. I tried to call the tech Department of Lenovo. but they weren't any help. Here, any help will be much appreciated.

  • Lenovo Z560 wireless card options

Does anyone know what wireless card options are allowed by Lenovo for the Z560? Mine came with a Broadcom 43XX I believe and I find that lack of performance compared to my previous Intel.

Is it possible to know if Lenovo is not doing this and what wifi cards are compatiable?

-You can burn recovery discs on your own, reading instructions for a key recovery or take a look at this thread.

-It is not void your warranty

You must change the ide/sata settings in the bios to install xp, either said passing.

You can download the drivers for xp from here

  • IdeaPad Z560 without web. Thoughts?

I am using my new * no intention Z560 as a media and remaining out of the net completely.

I've not used a windows machine in about a year... I have a MacBook Pro and a MacMini and I'm very happy Windows for free!

I thought that if I need to download anything I can down it web, Mac, then on a USB key, then the Z560.

I'm missing something, or in other words I couldn't download as a kind of package that might be postponed on a drive and then copied on the Z560?

I've also played with the idea of maybe playing with some form of Linux, but was not really sure which one or what I would use it for?

Thank you for your comments and thoughts.

You can download anything from web and copy from mac.

  • Z560 screen blank & punt for 2 hours

My ideapad Z560 is started for more than 2 hours and now the screen is totally white-nothing is on the screen please what I do?

If it is not question of system, probably ram or video card.

try to perform the clean installation of windows by pressing a button to retrieve key.

also, try to remove, replace or Exchange the ram sticks.

If it doesn't work, problem probably graphics card and you need to call lenovo support line. (to ship your laptop in return)

  • Z560 - replace the HDD with SSD - solved using OneKey Recovery

    Hey guys,.

In a few days time Santa is put me an SSD, OCZ Vertex 3 120 GB.

I think to clone the drive following this guide: http://www.ssdfreaks.com/content/664/how-to-clone-hdd-to-ssd-with-windows-7s-own-software and I'm a little confused on the partitions that are currently on the disk.

    I have:

    Local disk C: 552,55 gb,

    LENOVO 28.8 GB D:

and a partition unassigned 14.75 GB.

Does anyone know what contains the unassigned partition? I guess that's the One - Key recovery software? If this is the case, then I intend on deleting the D: Partition, which currently contains drivers, narrows the C:\ about 100 GB and cloning then the C:\ 100 GB and partition unassigned... will this work?

    Bravo guys!

    Rastaman

    Hey guys,.

I got my Vertex 3 today and it is ridiculously fast. Totally recommend it if you can afford it. Anyway, I discovered how do I reinstall my laptop, and I'm going to ask you now:

    (1) One Key Recovery Opened and clicked on 'create recovery disk', followed by 'default recovery drive '.

    (2) thought - sod it, I'll just stay in my new SSD and see what happens. Inserted, set the BIOS to boot from the DVD drive, and then install windows.

    (3) gain?

In fact, I found myself with

    C:\ 96,84 GB

Partion unnamed (14, 75 GB) - this is the area of a key recovery

Unnamed (200 mb) - partition likely etc boot sector reserved by operating system - seen elsewhere on other systems and is quite normal!

So yes, that happened on a NEW SSD building, which had not been formatted before - OneKey Recovery did everything by himself.

I hope this helps people in the future!

    Merry Christmas!

  • Z560 headset static?

OK, so this laptop is about a week and a half and I have some problems with it. But this one is me the angriest.

Whenever I have the laptop connected to an electrical outlet, there is a static/buzzing/beeping through my headphones noise if I hooked them up by the headphone. It's not strong, but it's extremely frustrating during slow songs, the quieter parts of the songs, or if I'm watching a movie that has a part without dialogue. The best part is that when I unplug the laptop, the static method completely goes away. I did research immensely, but the only solution I've seen say that there is something wrong with the laptop itself (so I have to replace) and others say that I should take off at the third pane on the AC adapter... I honestly don't know what to do and it's really frustrating, so if someone could help, I would appreciate it a lot. Thank you.

I already did those things... nothing resolved. This laptop has multiple problems, I probably just he sends for a completely new.
