Z61t stop stop or go into standby during specific activities

Hi all!

I had a problem with my laptop Z61t. His model is 9442-89U and it is two years old (with a little less than a year left the guarantee).

The problem is that the machine suddenly stops OR go into standby during certain activities. (This happens quite predictable, but as far as I know, if she goes out completely or just goes to sleep seems to be random).

If she goes into standby-by mode, I can usually just close the lid, open it again and it works as if I told him to go in standby mode. (Although, from time to time, the fingerprint reader does not work when returning from standby "induced".) However, if the machine turns off completely, it takes several tries before I can get it to start up again.

So far, these are activities that are originally shut off / go in standby mode:

-With the help of Skype.
-Play a DVD.

-Streaming media online. (Specific sites: pandora.com, nbc.com and espn360.com.) (However, sites like youtube.com and myspace.com play videos/music without problem.)

This is the only time I had this happens, and it happens regularly (even if at different times - sometimes I can use Skype for an hour before that happens, sometimes for 14 minutes).

When I installed the Toolbox of the Lenovo system as a prereq. Lenovo call (which I have not yet done), I realized that my hard drive was full of 93%. I thought that maybe the problem, so I moved my backups to rescue & recovery on a deleted from my computer and external disk. (I didn't know they were so huge until I found a thread about it here.) Now, I have 68% free space, but it does not solve the problem.

I ran the diagnostic hard drive test in BIOS it is passed, and all systems PC Doctor pass exams, too.

Any ideas? Thank you for taking the time to read this!

Kelsey

Alrighty. I called Lenovo today and they will be repairing the problem.

Thank you for your help, to help me identify the problem!

    Hello
I recently started getting a problem has occurred to the bottom of my laptop and also with sleep/hibinate function.

I made sure all updates are updated via HP support Assistant.
I also disabled the quick start of the function that was identified as a potential problem.
I also learned that the BIOS may need to update, but thought that it would be part of verification of Assistant HP support for updates.
The current BIOS is F.34 Insyde, 19/12/2014
If this is not the most recent, is there a link to I upgrade to the latest version.

If not is there any other suggestions as the only way to close it completely is a difficult stop hold the button to power down.

    Thanks much for any help.

    Hello

    You are welcome.

On some machines, the pilot for 11 series IMEI has been known to cause that kind of question of the judgment, so it may be worth trying an earlier version.

You can use the following method to install an earlier version of the driver IMEI.

Download driver IMEI on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp66001-66500/sp66228.exe

Disable your wireless card (should be f12 ).

Open your download folder and run the installer - it warns you that it is an earlier version, but simply continue.

    When finished, restart the laptop.

If the machine now shutsdown correctly, turn on your wireless adapter and use the utility on the following link to prevent Windows 10 to update automatically the driver IMEI again.

  • 360 13 inches x spectrum: spectrum x 360 8.1 Windows stops to get into sleep after a few hours

My x 360 spectrum stops to get into sleep after a few hours of normal behavior.  In other words, when the computer is started first, he put on standby and Hibernate mode then normally after the specified idle period.  It can then be woken up and work normally and then to go back to sleep after inactivity - during a few hours.  It stops working after the computer has been for a few hours.  I don't know exactly how much time must be in place before this problem starts, but once it ceases to be able to sleep, the only way to solve the problem is to reboot the system.  Once the problem occurs, the computer turns off the screen but that's it.  He will sleep if I do it manually by pressing the button of power or a click on the Windows button and forcing them to sleep or hibernation.

I watched powercfg /requests and there is nothing listed that could prevent sleep.  I ran also report with fluo compact powercfg and it also does not list something that prevents apparent sleep.

NOTE: The energy report is also EVEN if the system still works correctly.

I could use help to determine what is the cause of this condition.

Thank you.  See below for diagnostic information:

I found a thread on Microsoft answers community web site.  Unfortunately, it seems that Microsoft has not fixed even though this thread is over a year.  This has been driving me crazy.  In any case, the problem is with Windows 8.1 and is caused by the use of a Microsoft account to connect to the computer.  If the account is not connected, after a few hours the computer stops to fall asleep.  If you close the MS account, then the computer will sleep normally.  My dose is to convert my connection from the local computer to a local account and disconnect from Microsoft.  This process is easy to do, go into the settings of PC and disconnect the account.  It will keep your original profile.

Here is the link to the thread that got clued in the solution:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows8_1-performance/Windows-81-refuses-to-sleep-automatically-idle/6ab4aaaf-31bd-4baf-ABC6-62ba8c8260aa?DB=5&page=2&rtAction=1452178632575

I consider this resolved issue that HP is concerned.  Microsoft needs to address the issue.  I'm not interested in switching to Windows 10 for compatibility reasons and, in this regard, the same problem can exist in the W10.

  • My printer interrupts communication with my PC when the P.C. goes into Standby Mode. Why?

Until yesterday, the printer worked fine.  There is no cable or hardware change any.  I am running Windows XP with a jet of Lexmark color printer.

When I restart the printer works fine.  However when the order goes into standby or hibernation mode, I can print is no longer when the box comes back active.  I get a message that "there is a communication error with the printer.  To correct this problem, a box appears I should go to start/settings/printer and make sure the "Enable bidirectional support" box is checked.  Unfortunately, I can't access the settings of the printer directly from the start menu.

However, if I click on 'Options' that is displayed when the printer stops and I click "Troubleshooting", I don't see that the "enable bidirectional printer media" is more verified.  If I check, I get a message saying "printer is busy".  If I click on start again I get the same message and the "enable" box is unchecked.  If I hit Cancel, the box is also disabled.  I enter a loop that does not end.

Any ideas how I can access the printer directly from the start menu settings?  Or how to prevent the impression of no longer communicate with my PC when it goes into sleep mode?

Thank you much, long in advance for any suggestions you may have.

It is a Lexmark Z-52.  After 8 hours of trying many different, including the link ideas that you suggested, I have determined that as a result of some recent Microsoft Download, the printer would work only if I used the Dell printing device incorporated in the installation software.  If I tried to install the Lexmark printer from the installation disc, I got the persistent problem.  I deleted all but access to the printer through the installed also origin and everything of fine.

When I need to change the cartridges and align the jets, I install the Lexmark program, align the print cartridges and then remove the program Lexmark, using the default value of Dell for the printer remaining.

It works, but why I had a problem, I don't know.

    TNX for the comments!

    Hello

    1. do you remember any changes on your prior approval to question that occur?

In the meantime, follow these steps and check.

    Step 1:

You can check if you can "disable automatic system failure reboot " from the options in advance. In this way the computer will not go into a reboot loop and you will be able to note the error code, if any. If you see no error code, you can answer comes back with the error code.

    Step 2:

I suggest that you start your computer in safe mode and check if the problem persists.

    Step 3:

If the system works fine in safe mode, I suspect that there could be a conflict of software of third party causing the problem to occur. I suggest that you start your machine in a clean boot State.

Note: Follow step 7 to your computer as usual.

    Hello

    ·         Did you follow all the methods provided?

    ·         You are using cable or wireless network connection?

Let us know if you have followed all the steps of troubleshooting mentioned in the previous post, and what were the results, so that we can help you further.

If you use try of connection through check wireless network and wired network. If a cable that you can try to use a new cable to see if the one you use has problems. If it is I'd see if anyone is leeches wireless turn off your connection. Note If you have more than 1 person on a 300kps connection there is no chance, you're going to both to have that kind of speed with a shared connection, especially if you use a hub, although I do not agree that a decline until 20kps is rare, it would not if someone is hogging the bandwidth of your connection.

    Method 1:

You can also try to update the latest NIC drivers on the manufacturer's Web site and check if it helps.

    Method 2:

Try to release and renew the IP address, and check if this may help. To release and renew your IP address follow these steps:

    a. open windows command prompt

    b. Click Start - Run-type cmd and press enter

    c. to release your ip address ipconfig/release , press Enter

I stopped wearing my watch for something else than of indoor bike workouts and would like to have the display completely for the duration of the workout.

Is there a setting or application which can prolong the duration of display?

    THX

    Tom

    Hi Tom

Under the present version of the software Apple Watch (watch OS 2.1):

-If you wake up the display by increasing your wrist, the screen stay awake for up to 6 seconds.

-If you wake up by touching the screen, he can stay awake for up to 15 seconds or 70 seconds (sleep again if you decrease your wrist in this period).

-It currently has no option to have the display up permanently or for a longer period than that.

To set the length of your favorite by tapping the screen to reactivate:

-On your iPhone, in the application of Eve, go to: My Watch (tab) > General > screen Wake - under on press on, select Wake 15-70 seconds.

If you want Apple to consider adding other options, you can suggest that here:

  • STOP: 0x000000D1 ndis.sys error during the Windows Xp Setup screen

I have a computer tailor-made with a motherboard Intel D865GLC with a p4 running at 2.5 Ghz, a western digital 200 GB HARD drive, a drive Liteon DVD - RW, this computer was recently given too me by a friend because I can not afford the newer hardware. The problem I have is when I do a clean install of windows xp, I randomly get a STOP: 0x000000D1 ndis.sys blue screen. I tried to install an upgrade of windows 98 and windows 2000, nor worked. There is no specific time that he likes to fail, but no matter what it fails, it can be just by copying the files from its installation, the network while it please help

    Thanks in advance

    Nate

Do not install an operating system is usually caused by (in order of probability):

    1. you are trying to install with other devices connected to the computer. Unplug them before trying to make an installation.

    2. "" "" defective installation media. "" Check the CD/DVD installation for scratches, tasks. Try another machine.

    3. bad optical drive. Test with another CD/DVD bootable or Exchange for a well-known work.

    4. faulty RAM. Test with Memtest86 + www.memtest.org . You will download the .iso image file to create a bootable cd. Burn the file with the third party burning software *-as an image, not in the form of data. Then start with the media that you did (you may need to change the boot priority in your BIOS so that the optical drive is the first boot device). The test runs immediately. The test run for an hour or two--at least that errors are seen immediately. If you get any errors, replace the RAM.

    * It is not necessary to have a third party burning software in Windows 7 since Win7 natively allows to burn an .iso. Other operating systems require it. A good free choice ImgBurn comes from www.imgburn.com .

    5. bad hard drive. Test with a diagnostic utility downloaded from site of the disc mftr... You create a bootable CD with the files you download. Burn the file with a third-party burning software (unless you have Windows 7, that allows to record the .isos natively) - as an image, not in the form of data. Boot with the CD that you have done and do a full test of the reader. The physical tests fail, replace it.

    6. other hardware components are faulty. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • Stop Tablet ICONIA W3-810 During Installation of the software

Hi, I own a w3-810 ICONIA tablet running win 10 and stop after a driver update. I try to recover the w8 with the recovery disk (there are 4 discs). I was able to run the 4 disks, but the software installation stage it stops working to: install Platform install Intel platform Intel drivers... step 5/59.

I retry the recover it it always stop at the same place.

I don't know what to do now?

    Thank you

Sounds like it may be a problem with your recovery discs or a hardware problem with the computer. I suggest you to contact technical support in your region to see the replacement of drives or the system in service.

  • STOP: c000021a {fatal system error} during shutdown

I have Windows XP SP3 running on an old laptop Asus L2000 who remains perfectly functional.

Whenever I stopped him, this BSOD stop: c000021a {fatal system error} and something on the logon process terminated unexpectedly pop and the laptop just stays on like that until I hit the button to power only, then it will turn off. In the contrary case, the laptop runs normally.
I looked everywhere but nothing is done, nobody gives never a direct response to how which and where to fix the problem.
This problem started after a process of full consolidation (anti-virus, registry and the batch recovery) after an escape of the virus. Now the system is clean.
Is there a particular way or procedure to get rid of this problem?

    Hi aaavvv,

This error can occur when you have GoBack installed on your computer and it is present in the boot sector.

GoBack causes a Stop C000021a error

  • Stop the movement into components 14?

Hello, I am working on 3D animation, I visited images to improve the overall quality and decided to go with first elements 14 for video editing. (By which I want to taper the frames together to make a video)

Is it possible to create a preconfiguration of the project/components 14 where it automatically converts each image in a project in a frame sequence?

I can manually reduce the time or cut the photo after an image, but I want to know if there is an automated way or a way to cut/shrink several images at the same time?

I was using Premiere Pro once or twice and that he handled well enough, can elements do something like that?

    manters

First elements 14/14.1 on what operating system?

You seem to refer to the technique of time of numbered stills.

See ATR Premiere Elements troubleshooting: PE: numbered stills in Time Lapse and other entertainment

These details are working in first 14/14.1 Windows elements.

On the other hand, you can capture Time Lapse (Stop Motion) in elements 13/13.1 first or 14/14.1.

See the Adobe document on features removed in 13/13.1. Also applies to the 14/14.1.

Removed the unsupported file formats and features. Adobe Premiere Elements 13

Please consider and then we can discuss it further with the details in your response.

Questions or need any clarification on the above, do not hesitate to ask.

    Thank you.
