Zoom frequency in frequency analysis

Is it possible to zoom in on a range of frequencies in the frequency analysis?  I am looking for below 200 Hz noise but would like to know more precisely what frequencies are involved.

Thank you

David

If you right click and hold on to the frequency bar, you can select the frequency range you want to zoom in on. Left click will allow you to go up and down the range.

Is it possible to do joint analysis frequency time Signal express?  I don't see in the section "analysis", so I guess that it is a separate tool that should be added, if possible still Signal Express.  Help?

SignalExpress does not natively support joint time frequency analysis.  However, check out the Sound and Vibration toolkit that expands the SignalExpress.  It can do what you want.

  • VERSION of the VST analysis of frequency of Adobe

I love how you did on the frequency of monitoring in AA 2 or 3. And to be honest, I'm used to fast enough.

But, for some reason, I moved to another DAW. I tried a lot of THINGS spectrum analyzers, tried all the best vst in this direction, and all what they were close subject.

So my predictable question for developers of Adobe: can you do frequency analysis VST version, which contained in Adobe Audition 2/3? I'm really sure that this idea will become popular and get demand. Thank you, I look forward to your wisdom.

Never happen. As a matter of principle, VSTs Adobe will still be usable with Adobe products. If Adobe marketed as standalone plug-ins VST, they would have to charge you a disproportionate amount of money for them - and anyway, they want to encourage you to use hearing, not a product of inferior quality...

  • The amplitude of the frequency. Bode CD. State space

    Hi all

Gently, I have a simple model that gives me a Bode phase and magnitude, using the block 'CD Bode'. AFAIK, this block takes the representation of the State space and assesses the frequency and scale of the system.

Can I change the value of the Phase or amplitude Bode? by means change the input signal that bode uses to evaluate the response of the State space?

Note: The entry, I want to say here is the value of the sinusoidal signal that Bode uses to give the phase and the amplitude of the State space.

    Thank you

The works of Bode CD functions as a "sweep" of all frequencies and who you are. The algorithm is not a frequency controlled, he comes back the entire spectrum. You can't just get a specific frequency. However, if you use the fuction 'Assess frequency of CD', you can provide the model and frequency, and this will give you the specific Mag/Phase for this frequency. This example shows how to do this in LabVIEW:

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\LabVIEW 2014\examples\Control and Simulation\Control Design\Time Analysis\CDEx Lin Simulation and stable State.vi

Now, if you want to 'form' your frequency, so you can create another model, connect with each other and try to change the output frequency. This example shows how to do this:

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\LabVIEW 2014\examples\Control and Simulation\Control Design\Frequency Analysis\CDEx frequency analysis

If you just want to "simulate" the response of the signal to a specific sine wave, then you will need to you another function in the time domain palette called "linear Simulation CD. With this, you can generate a specific sine wave and you can see his behavior in the time domain. Here is an example:

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\LabVIEW 2014\examples\Control and Simulation\Control Design\Time Analysis\CDEx sine wave with Mathscript.vi

    Hope this helps,

  • Report inaccurate frequency in the section analyzes frequency

I use the frequency analysis tool.  While I can hear the note is at about 480Hz, the frequency said analysis is 3352Hz frequency and is a c# language.  I'm sure I'm getting a partial stem, but do not know how to refine what it is reading so that it is correct. Someone at - it experience with this?

You can reduce it by putting the mouse just under the bottom line (corresponding to the scale) and by doing a right click and do drag the section you want to see (it turns blue as you drag so you can see how you have selected). If you want to restore, and then right click on the scale will give you options.

I saw a question on the FM tuner in the Qosmio G20 series (and other portable with Qosmio Player). Users responded that the Qosmio Player has no FM tuner! That's wrong!

I did a manual search in Qosmio Player using frequency analysis, and it is possible to scan the frequency range of the FM band. So, I found a few radio stations that I can save. The resolution is not the best but you can easily find radio stations!

I agree with Togan. The units are supplied with different hardware configurations.
As a result, some units support a tuner and are supplied without the tuner.

  • How can I set a channel IEPE DAQmx and the other not?

Hi, guys!  I am a first year student in labview. I meet a problem and need your help.

In my DAQmx data acquisition system, I must acquire the data of two channels at the same time. And a channel IEPE, another does not need. You can open the example in the following location: C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 2014\vi.lib\addons\Sound and Vibration\Example Support\DAQ\DAQmx\Frequency Analysis\Dual channel Analysis\Baseband FRF (DAQmx AI and AO) .vi. In the example, you must configure both of them to stage IEPE or not. There is no more information that I can find. And I have no idea to solve this problem.

  • condition of gearbox fault indicators

Hello, I was given a few files to read and perform the signal processing to estimate the 4 lights for a gear box fault status. Also asked me to perform a frequency analysis using advanced techniques. I have used labview for the first time this week and the need to understand how to go on this issue.

Will be really grateful for the help for the lights of breakdown and analysis of the frequency

It looks like not LabVIEW is limiting your factor.  Nobody's even immediately LabVIEW.

Instead, understand your algorithm.  Just don't you said will allow someone to help you.  This means that you probably don't understand the problem.

    Signals how do you read?

What defines an error condition? (In other words, how would measure you a fault?  Is it a fault if it exceeds a threshold?  Is it a fault if she moves too fast?  Is it a fault if it does not evolve?)

Are what is your analysis of frequency you supposed to do?  Is there an 'Advanced' operational need in any specific technique or is it your way of saying that you want something more than just to see what is the frequency?

  • Ridge SVFA and the Relative Phase amplitude must be reentrant

I think I found an obscure problem with one of the "Baseband FFT" s VI on the 'Frequency analysis' subpalette of the Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite. "

The "Peak Amplitude and Relative Phase SVFA" is set to no reentrant run, but I think it must be defined on preallouee clone running reentrant.  All the other "Baseband FFT" Vi on the 'Analysis of the frequencies' subpalette are implemented reentrant preallouee clone.  This is crucial, because if you use multiple instances of the same VI on a block diagram and feed each instance of another set of entries of waveforms, each instance must maintain its own internal state FYI channel, sampling rate, on average, etc.

I just found out the hard way after a lot of debugging this including VI has been implemented not reentrant.  On average maintained automatically delivered to zero with warning 1908.  Of course, I had two instances in my diagram, each receiver signals a different set of channels.  Because the VI is not reentrant, he was running an instance with a set of inputs of waveform, then execution of the other instance with a different waveform entries together, then in back and automatically reset on average to each time because the channels kept alternating.

    Don't I have that right?

    Jeremy,

Looks like our test coverage can use some improvements. You're absolutely right - this VI was to have been put to preallouee clone environment. EI which was originally filed repsonded CAR # 570225 to our development team and it's been fixed for the next version of the software Sound and Vibration.

Each new version, we write one articulates KnowledgeBase documenting these fixes, for example: the list of fixed bug in 2015.

Keep an eye on fixed bug list for the next version and this CAR ID to appear in this topic.

  • Group by name

    Hi guys

the attached picture shows one of the examples provided with labview software and I need to understand its function to achieve a purpose in my mind.

I was wondering what the (1 / x) function and why they use the function (bundle) and why they did add the elements (0.0) DBL

    can anyone explain it please?

    David,

Thanks for your post.  The bundle name is a very useful feature when you want to mix data types.  In the example that you have downloaded, you mix two variables double precision with a data type of table (which just happens to contain the double itself).  The package by the name function allows to transmit data as a cluster if there are pieces of information that are related in some way.

For example - a cluster of error contains a Boolean value, a signed integer (error code) and a string.  This means that you can pass the cluster through your code instead of having three individual wires for each.  You can also use clusters to store sub-vis terminals; notice so how error and error take upward the two terminals of basically rather six if they were wired individually.

In addition, since you can use a beam of name there also a name unbundle so using the example of the error code if you want the Boolean value which has been adopted but not the code of error or string, then you can pull just the data in the cluster.  This is often used on the inside while loops with a stop button and a Golden Gate connected to the stop condition.

Clusters are often a resource utilized in LabVIEW, but they are very very useful!

As for the 1 / x function, as with any frequency analysis one would expect it's a converson of frequency (Hz) time (s).  It is not uncommon to see this feature just be careful with the factors of 2 * pi compared to angular frequency.

    Hope this helps,

  • How to view the current EQ settings?

Is it possible to display the parameters of frequency of an audio clip using Audition? We recorded a project with a blue snowball, using Adobe Captivate. But on some slides someone changed settings (from '1' to '3') at the back of the microphone, then a few slides sounds a little muffled. I used the parametric equalizer to boost the higher frequencies, and I am able to get the sounds to match a little better by doing this. But I was wondering if maybe there is an easier way just to match the frequency of the audio clips, or may display Equalizer/frequency of each clip settings I can adjust manually them as close as possible?

If you use the frequency analysis window, you can see differences in response. If you select a section, scan and store in one of the memories, select another section and that scan and save, you will be able to see what are the differences between them, which should allow you to make adjustments more accurately than by listening on average.

There are a few autour plugins that will allow you to corresponding EQ so that might help. He runs the process I described above, only it automates it so that the EQ on the section you want to change is the "reference" EQ from a file of your choice. It's expensive, but Ozone can do that. An alternative, which is a little cheaper, is a program called "Hebert" which is specially designed to match sound settings exactly - but until you get used to it, it's a bit of a pain to use. And I'm sure that there are others also.

  • Hearing automatically detects the pitch correction key?

Hello, I'm trying the automatic pitch correction in the hearing of the CP. I wonder if the tone of the piece is automatically detected. If not, is there a way to analyze the track to know what key it's in? The original recording was from iTunes, and I don't have any info on what key it was written in. Please help if you can.

    Thank you!

Hearing is not analyze an entire publication and give the overall key.  It does not provide the pitch of individual notes or the average rating of a selection range, which MIGHT get you close to the key, but this is certainly no guarantee.

Try to open the frequency analysis window, twirling to the bottom of the "Advanced" at the bottom section and then selecting your entire file or a single verse or passage.  You should see the 'general note' at the bottom:
