10 Windows will not recognize USB-6211

Well, several hours to uninstall and reinstall later, the device is recognized again. It even works in Labview.

The only thing that happened between the work and does not, it is for other Labview products trial period expired. Maybe messed something up or maybe not.

I just hope that it still works now.

I can sign in successfully caddy USB to my laptop Windows 7 via a simple USB port on a USB 2.0 so I know it works.

On the Satellite L300D, it implements the Generic USB drive in Device Manager, but does not record the 2 disk partitions in the storage of files in Windows Explorer. In fact when you try and expand the COMPUTER in the Explorer it times out.

I noticed that the WLAN (Realtek TL8187B) is on the same USB 2.0 controller, so I disabled it. It turned off my wireless, but immediately the Windows Explorer was shot in life and I could access partitions (D:, and G :) may even run the check disk (no failures) and Defrag. As soon as I turn ON the WLAN driver disc fails to register.

    Hello Colin

Have you started using your laptop with the original version of Vista that you got with your laptop?

I use Toshiba laptops for a long time now but I've never noticed this issue although I use external hard drives and USB keys quite often.
Since when did you notice this kind of behavior? To be honest, I can't imagine that this problem persists since the day where we as original recovery image is tested and something like that should not happen. Maybe some updates may be responsible for this.

Trying to remove driver WLAN, reinstall the chipset driver and reinstall WLAN driver. After doing this test he has once again please and send feedback.

    1. check if the sync settings are correct. To do this, follow these steps.

  • Why am I suddenly "USB not recognized, one of the devices USB has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize"

Hi all. If anyone out there in Cyber Land can solve this problem for me so I've personally you will issue an eight-pack of ice-cold beer (or a bottle of wine for the ladies lol)...

I'll try not to waffle too guys, so here's...

Right my PC running Windows XP. I also have itunes installed on my PC (I have an iphone 4). Upward until yesterday my iphone and itunes were working well, (once I plugged my iphone in the itunes USB port recognised that my iphone was plugged and synchronization was fine etc.).

But now when I plug my iphone to PC to sync with itunes, I get a pop up box on the lower right part of the screen that reads... "USB not recognized one of the USB devices has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize."

After visiting about 5 different sites now "Ways to solve this problem", believe it or not, I still have the problem bloody! :(

A site proposed shutdown PC and unplug it from the power supply, then plug it back start-up and back... this as did not work!
The other they say that I should go to Device Manager, uninstall all the USBs then restart... it did not work either.
    Tried a system restore
    Tried to reinstall itunes

When I check the names USB in Device Manager, there is one who reads unknown device. I am literally pulling what's left of my hair now. I tried to solve this problem for almost 2 days now and still no joy. That's why no matter what input you guys would be very appreciated. I'm no PC Wizard, so please, don't think you're patronizing me if you break down things step by step for me.

Thank you comrades, cordially, Freddy frustrated. :)

Another said I should go to Device Manager, uninstall all the USBs and restart.

Usually, this works... but can be very dangerous, unless you have a PS/2 keyboard.

I also assume that you have tried all other USB ports on the computer. tried a verified USB device (for example, a flash drive) in the USB usually when you plug in your iPhone. and I tried your iPhone in another computer (I know it's rare for an error message Windows really means what he says, but sometimes the material lacks).

Is the charge of the iPhone when it is connected to the USB port (I don't think)?  This happened to me recently, but a reboot fixed it.  I guess that that happened to you.

I guess that you don't see the error messages in Device Manager or you must declare them.

You can uninstall all USB devices that do not exist as follows:

    • Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK)
    • Enter the following command and press enter

    Set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices = 1

    • Start the Device Manager by typing the following in the same command prompt window

    devmgmt.msc

    • In Device Manager, click the view menu and select "Show hidden devices".
    • You should see a category just after "Non-Plug and Play drivers" named "other devices."  Chances are that there will be a big exclamation yellow mark beside it.  When you expand the "other devices" you should see several non identified "USB devices."  Uninstall all this.
    • Reboot (with the iPhone NOT connected).
  • Peripheral USB has malfunctioned. Windows does not recognize it.

  • Error: One of the USB devices attached to this system has malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it.

tried already everything written here. When I plug my USB device (3 of them) my Windows a sad of the USB devices attached to this system has malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it. I tried plugging it into another winXP machine, it won't work. Can you help me?

    Original title: usb malfunction

    His salvation,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum.

    1. What are the troubleshooting steps you have tried so far?
    2. If it works much earlier? If so, did you do changes on the computer before this problem?
    3. What type of USB device you are using?

As you mentioned that the USB device does not work when plugged into a WinXP machine, it may be a problem with the device itself. In addition, the question may also arise if the currently loaded USB driver has become unstable or damaged or if your PC requires an update for problems that could conflict with a device USB and Windows.

Therefore, I suggest you try the following methods (skip the ones that you already tried) and check if the problem persists.

    Method 1:

Please try the fixit (s) provided below which will help you solve common problems associated with devices and USB ports.

If method 1 does not work, try Method 2.

    Method 2:

Remove and reinstall all USB controllers.

    1. Open Manager devices by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, click system and security, and then, under System, clicking Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    2. In the list of the categories of equipment, locate and expand Bus USB controllers.
    3. Right-click every device under the Bus USB controllers node and then click Uninstall to remove them one at a time.
    4. Restart the computer and let the USB controllers get reinstalled.
    5. Plug in the removable USB device and test to make sure that the problem is solved.

If the problem persists, go to method 3.

    Method 3:

This method will install the latest drivers from device to your USB device.

    1. Click the Start button, type Windows Update in the search box, and then click Windows Update in the results pane.
    2. Click find updates. When the scan finished, click optional review updates.
    3. Click the check box next to the update, and then click install updates.
    4. If you are prompted, read the license agreement, then click I agree.
    5. Follow the instructions on the screen to download and install updates.
    6. If you are prompted, restart your computer.

More information: Update a hardware driver that is not working properly

If the device fails after updating the driver, you can try to roll back the driver with its previous version.

Restore a driver with its previous version

Hope this information is useful. If the problem still persists, please post back for further assistance, we will be happy to help you.
