15 - ac021tx: what is my format of dvd?
Hello
I bought a laptop HP laptop - 15-ac021tx, model: M9U62PA.
My question is what is the format of my dvd? DVD-R, DVD + R, or something else?
Thank you.
Peter
Thos format problems are pretty much a thing of the past. Your computer laptop burner wil work with + R or - R, RW, media - RW. It's a "multiburner".

Toshiba HDD & dvd/VCR recorders record in what format to DVD-R discs?
In 2008, I paid £190 on Amazon for a HARD & DVD/VCR player disc with free view, model rd-xv48dtkb.
I've done many DVD-R disc full of TV shows I record with her, but when I take them to friends they don t game! What is the format makes this machine to record videos in mpeg4 or divx for example?
He seems to play avi, divx files ok but what other formats read it? for example, mpeg4, mpeg2 etc...
Can Toshiba or anyone who knows tell me as soon as possible, which is the biggest flaw I've found with the machine.
Also, if I put a DVD in my pc detected disks even not! Serious flaw. What software should I in a pc to detect the Toshiba has decided to use the file format?
Hello
Above all that it is a forum for computer/laptop Toshiba that I doubt there are many people who have experience with your standalone DVD recorder.
But I have some advice for you;
Check the configuration settings. There should be something about the format that is supported.
Check if the HARD drive (where the films are stored) has been chosen correctly.Maybe the videos are saved to the. Standard VOB my writer did.

Unable to complete format of DVD
I have Vista Home Premium (32-bit version) on my laptop (Packard Bell EasyNote S4947). The CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive is Matshita UJ - 850D ATA Device (DVD +/-RW). When I try to burn files to a DVD (+ R and + RW), I get a message error "Windows could not complete the format". Memory, I have not had this problem when I had Windows XP, before moving on to Vista.
My Windows Update is automatically set to install updates every day, including the recommended updates and Microsoft Update. However, in reading the ID931654 Article, I noticed that Windows Vista Service Packs 1 and 2 had not been installed. So I installed these, but I still have the same problem of formatting of DVD. I then ran "DVD Driver Software Update" in the Device Manager, and who says that things were updated. I also ran that File Checker tool system and has not found any breach of integrity.
Article ID 931654 mentions two fixes for the problem of formatting. However, they do not seem to cover the 32-bit versions of Vista, and I guess that all relevant patches have been included in Service Packs 1 and 2 so there is no point in installing them separately?
What else can I try? !!
Hi adding more software actually aggravate the problem because these can often interfere with each other.
Try to uninstall ALL software burner/DVD that do not come with the computer - REBOOT - and then run
through the steps that I posted above. You can always add the software that you want to use later. Do you have
check using another brand of discs?

I can't do Vista machine a friend read a UDF DVD in JPEG files.
Vista recognizes this format of DVD?
Hi neilfay,1. the DVD is recognizable in another computer? It could be a third UDF driver of the software which can cause the problem to occur, I suggest to delete or disable and check (if installed) DVD burning. To work around the problem, you can follow the following stepsStep 1:
Copy the DVD to the hard drive.a. open Windows Explorer.
b. right-click on the DVD drive
c. click on copy and paste it on the desktop.
d. check if the files are copied to the hard disk of the DVD;Step 2:Put the DVD on a Windows XP based computer that will recognize the files on the disk. Copy the contents of the disc in a flash drive, and then copy the contents of the flash drive for the system that is running Windows Vista.
