• RoboHelp 2015 - batch generate with conditional compilation tags broken?

  Hello everyone.

  My company has recently upgraded to Technical Communication Suite 2015 and today we try to generate online help for the first time with RoboHelp 2015. We have been batch generating (rhcl.exe) for about a year with no problems... and today I have problems in conditional tag of major works. I'll try to be as detailed as possible, in the hope that the community can tell me if I'm doing something wrong.

  System: RoboHelp 2015 on Windows 7 64 bit. WebHelp layout. Upgraded project of HR 11 a week ago.

  
  

  Setting up a project

  In most of the topics, we have a 'See also' section at the end, with a few links. This section is tagged with the 'Online' CBT (so that we can exclude the PDF output).

  There are 4-5 CBT by module.

  My conditional compilation expression is: NOT print AND NO risk AND NO WIP. The expression is named Test. This conditional compilation expression is stored in a WebHelp SSL called VALUE. The 'Online' tag appears correctly under tags available and it is certainly not excluded.

  The problem

  I use the following command;

  "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 2015\RoboHTML\rhcl.exe ' 'D:\technical_documentation\my_project\my_project.xpj'-l 'Test' o 'D:\help_builds\my_master\mergedProjects\my_project '.

  In the output, all the content that is tagged with Online is not visible, even if the tag was not excluded!

  I tried a few other scenarios and the results are even more confusing to me. I scored some random text with some other tags ('link', 'afds' and 'value') - labeled content 'link' and 'afds' is not visible, but the content labeled 'Value' is... Although none of these tags have been excluded!

  If I generate RoboHelp, not with the lot, everything works fine, without changes in the SSL settings.

  Am I right in thinking this is a new bug? Perhaps rhcl.exe support incorrectly the improvements in tag conditional compilation in HR 2015? I will record a bug if this is the case, but I would like some opinions firstly thank you!

  Adobe have studied this problem and managed to reproduce it.

  I suggest that report you it as a bug so that Adobe can contact you if they need more information.

  I need to create a WebHelp project file and a file of printed document. Firstly, I would like to generate the word and then to create the pdf file in Word. Is it possible to generate the help file in a specified Word template and have the styles in RoboHelp convert Word styles?

• 2015 RoboHelp. How to open a spreadsheet (baggage file) of a PDF file created for review?

  Good afternoon.

  We have a subject with a link to an Excel worksheet that was added in the folder of hatracks.

  We are looking to replace all RoboHelp tables with spreadsheets added as files luggage because paintings don't convert well to PDF format and are not easily sortable.

  We often create a PDF file of control to provide a reasonable - looking for internal evaluation and output to some customers. (For two years, that we were not able to properly generate documents Word or PDF using a SSL. Adobe believes he has something to do with communication between TFS/Source control and RoboHelp).

  So I decided to see if a link to a spreadsheet would work.

  In the PDF, I click on the link and nothing happens.

  Anyone know how to make the link open the worksheet?

  There is the problem where the baggage file. I think that they are referenced as links that obviously won't work on other people's computers. You can submit a feature request to see if Adobe can figure a way to apply it.

  It is to be expected. All DynamicLink functions require the same version level. Only things CC 2015 will in 2015 on the SOUL.

• CPD 2015 RoboHelp project file is damaged

  Hello community!

  Hoping someone may be able to help with this urgent problem. All of a sudden, my.cpd project file has been corrupted and cannot be opened. Nothing out of the ordinary happened from one day to the next day to cause this error in the morning. Other project files open fine, but I work always in the main project has become corrupted and RoboHelp 2015 says that it cannot be opened.

  Has anyone ever experienced this before? Stuff to browse before you contact Adobe directly would be much appreciated.

  I have backups of the .cpd that I could load. In order to draw in the most up-to-date in HTML format, however, is there a quick way to do this in addition to drag / drop each page of each topic in the old version of the .cpd?

• 2015 RoboHelp. Main project generated does not recognize subcategories in the keywords in the index.

  I have a master project containing external links to many projects (more than 70) and all the index entries are combined to create a master index for the help system. After I upgraded to RH2015 and I generated the subproject both main project, keyword/subkeyword relationships disappeared. Entry index keywords are listed without any subcatgories although the project has them. Like this:

  

  So now I have a giant list of keywords without the indentations to delimit groups of keywords. I did a large part of the index by hand using the properties of the section and the format "keyword\subkeyword". This delimiter has changed? Anyone know or have the same problem? Am I missing a value somewhere?

  I was by the who is new and Forums here, but don't see anything.

  I tried it with the latest patch applied RoboHelp and it works very well at my end.

  Index the thin air in the WebHelp output.

  We have fixed this bug in the latest version of patch. Please make sure that you have updated the HR. Latest version after you apply the hotfix would be 12.0.1.338

  For the application of the hotfix, see help > updates and apply the available update.

  If after application of the patch also, you face this issue please post here.

• Should I RoboHelp Server to publish RoboHelp WebHelp/WebHelp Pro?

  I've used RoboHelp to create online help for a web application, many years ago. As I remember, it was very easy. My developers told me where to download the files, and I told them this file to reference from the web application.

  Now I'm in a different society and is about to start using RoboHelp to create an online help for a web application. I have RoboHelp, but I do not have RoboHelp Server. My developer is asking questions on the server and the license server. I don't remember ever having these concerns, the last time I've used RoboHelp, and now I'm confused.

  I think I have not has no need of RoboHelp Server the first time is because I have generated WebHelp and not of WebHelp Pro. Is this fair? And so I would need only RoboHelp Server if I wanted to generate WebHelp Pro?

  So if I have everything than the right, and if I want to just generate WebHelp, so what information should I provide my developer? I have not any information 'server and license server' to provide to him, right?

  And on the other hand, if we decided that we wanted to WebHelp Pro, it have to buy RoboHelp $999 server, is that correct?

  In order to clarify the comment by Rick. You only need the RoboHelp Server to publish WebHelp Pro and FlashHelp Pro.

  Outputs 'Pro' are strictly for the extraordinary RoboHelp Server needs.

• RoboHelp WebHelp 9 does not appear in Google Chrome. Help!

  This may have already responded, but WebHelp does not at all appear on my Google chrome browser. I have RoboHelp 9 and with the help of Google Chrome v.13.0.782.112.m. I checked my other browser, IE8, and WebHelp displays perfectly there. Any suggestions?

• WebHelp and aid on the ground

  Years back, I have maintained a Microsoft HTML Help project and one who is composer to help this project to a desktop application. In 2005, I converted my Microsoft HTML Help project to a project of WebHelp and went up on the Web. To save on translation costs, the who is helping this project has been deleted from the application.

  Now, clients have indicated that they want the former area that is to help this return?  My questions are:

  1 using the RoboHelp 7, I'm assuming I can't join one that is to help this project in my project of WebHelp (correct me if I'm wrong), but can I create a standalone in this project?

  2. can I publish a standalone which is to help this project on the Web like I did with my WebHelp project? Or the who is to help this project installed on each PC locally?

  3. If the who's help is not a viable option, what are my other choices in the field help?  Right now, I have help topics in my WebHelp mapped to the help button in the windows project.  I could help topics map in my WebHelp project in domain names?

  Any help would be most appreciated.

  . HLP and. CHM files are local installation, not for the use of a server.

  What is that is not an option of webhelp.

  Looks like you're going to end upward with both systems. For the web help domain and the rest local. Seems very disjointed.

• Updated from CC to CC 2015 2014 now unknown error compiling movie in SOUL

  I'm editing a project that is 720 x 576 only so no HD in question.  My PC is running Windows 10.

  I used 2014 CC and had no problem to export the project.

  I just upgraded today to CC 2015.

  Now, it is true that, after making a few changes to the project, I get the dreaded unknown error message.

  I read a lot of comments on the forums about this and what seems to be a multitude of things to look at to fix the problem.

  I did not much yet to investigate and make, but for the life of me I don't understand why the software can at least give an idea where to start.

  One solution supposed to remove the clips one at a time to determine where is the problem.

  My project has hundreds of clips, so it could take some time.

  I'm happy that I'm only using the software for a hobby rather than for a living if not I would be hot.

  Maybe someone could explain why the software can't give a clue where in the video, the error is.  Surely, he must know where is the problem. He might not know what is causing the error, but a clue as to where to look would help to solve the problem.  It seems that this error has existed for a long time, and you would have thought that adobe would have found a way now to reach a judicious system of error reporting.

  Fortunately, I just tried the first test:

  Change the video rendering and playback the playback (Cuda) Mercury to Mercury Playback Engine software only engine

  He deleted the files of rendering.

  Then, I just did an export throughout the sequence.  Almost all of the existing sequence in the timeline showed in red that I guess that means that a majority of it is not rendered.

  The export worked perfectly without error.

  The dynamic filter is not applied to it. I am currently using RoboHelp 9, so I ask you to these changes because I'm thinking that if it's worth changing HR 2015, because I use the output HTML, I only generate CHM files.

  Your English is very good! Yes, dynamic content filtering is only available with the latest reactive HTML5. Available for CHM output functions are mainly dictated by Microsoft because the format of HTML (.chm) help is their owner specification.

  RoboHelp has added a few things on top of the base CHM (skins for CHMS, glossary and browse sequences, etc.), but you won't find many features more modern in CHMS because Microsoft has continued to develop a long time ago.

  That said, while the CHM format may not have a lot of bells and whistles that you hope to, the new 2015 RoboHelp has many other advantages that make it easier create and justify an upgrade.

• Images within the passage of the mouse (score) not included when compiling WebHelp Pro

  The start of my RoboHelp 7 project page contains some mouseover (hover) functions. Those who surround buttons that change their layout when the mouse pointer is hovered over. I used JavaScript and writing directly in the HTML code.

  The preview works very well. When the version of WebHelp Pro is compiled, only the first images are copied to the respective folder. The underlying images, which appear when the mouse hovering over the area, are absent. How can I make RoboHelp recognize these images when compiling? What I owe their index somewhere?

  First things first. You mention WebHelp Pro. You are posting to the RoboHelp Server?

  Normally, you won't see a "Baggage Files" folder on your hard drive. If you just added to the luggage, the files would have ended at the level of the root of the project. Luggage is more a concept than anything else. This is a list that RoboHelp maintains content that you tell him to take when you create the output. In addition, if your project uses folders for organizing, you also ensure that you place the files in the right folder when adding to the luggage.

  Yes you can. Has just released the output where you want. If you want to keep your existing publication location, but add another to your boss, you can simply create another provision of single source based on your existing network of webhelp and specify the new location of publication. Just right-click on the layout of a single source file and select "New presentation" and go from there.

• Violation of compilation-Timing error FPGA

  I've been LV around for years, but I am a complete newbie when it comes to FPGA. I'm working on programming for a 9651 (SOM) using the Dev kit. I'm starting by small steps, but already tripped. I have a simple VI which retrieves a value from a FIFO and passes it réécrirait a different FIFO. When compiling, it gives an error of timing violation, and I don't know how to study. The VI is attached.

  If background for the curious... I'm working on the side of our application to signal processing. I'm passing data from a prerecorded TDMS file to a FIFO. I want to send the FPGA, treat it and send it back. Eventually, it will come of I/O, but for now, I just want to work on the processing of the signal. Before starting work, I thought I'd just make sure I can transfer data to the bottom and back. Once I get this job, I'll start to developing processing screw for between the two.

  You can specify the version of LabVIEW you use and implementing CLIP half bridge that you use for the IO DevKit?

  It was a timing violation introduced between LabVIEW 2014 and 2015, given the way the compiler Xilinx handled VHDL which takes in charge the second port Ethernet on SOM.  If you use a CLIP half bridge that has been generated before 2015 LabVIEW (as the example of the expedition which I think begins with a CLIP called "DevKit"), then you can get a timing error.  There should be a second sample CLIP called DevKit2, I think, which was regenerated with compatibility for 2015 of LabVIEW and later versions.

  You can check your half-bridge CLIP in the project by ensuring that you have selected the version called DevKit2 if you have a version of LabVIEW FPGA which is 2015 or newer.
