3 monitors on 7010, SFF, in WinXp (...)!

Hello

As the title indicates, I'm looking to run 3 monitors in an Optiplex 7010 Small form Factor, in Windows XP (I know, I know... You are preaching to the converted - I'd like to enter this in the current century, but I said that's not an option).

Dell sales team are not particularly useful, and given that the customization options have been removed from the auction site I can't check myself...

Help me!?

Thank you

I'd love to put this in the current century, but I said that's not an option

Not sure why you say that. Dell offers the drivers for the 7010 of XP to Win 8.1 - 64-bit, so why can't update you the OS? Have you run the Advisor of upgrade Win 7 or 8 Win, free from Microsoft? Google for them.

You have a video card? The SFF (but not the USFF) will be a video card PCI-e x 16 low profile.

You can probably run 2 monitors out of the video card. On some Dell PC, you can still use the integrated VGA port video too, which could give you 3, but I don't know specifically about this system. And if you cannot use built-in VGA and a map, you might find a video card that handles 3 at a time.

And there's always a USB > USB or DVI > HDMI adapter, even if they are not cheap, for a third monitor...

Should work. Don't forget to pass the system Bios - video and enable the multi-screen display.

  • Reading TCP timeout

I understand that other discussions on this topic are already, but I still have to find a solution among them.

    Here's the scenario:

I have a PC (running Win7) which is connected to a monitor Signal Agilent N9020A MXA (WinXP) host over a LAN connection. The reason behind the connection to the LAN via the GPIB is software VSA 89601 B added I want to access through SCPI commands through code LabView on the host PC. According to Agilent, it's one of the ways to do so.

I have IPS assigned and specified the Agilent recommended port 5024 for a TCP/IP connection. I am able to write commands using TCP write using LabView, but I can't read anything by using TCP Read. Indeed, according to some variations of the options I tried of the subjects of the previous forum, I always end up with error 56 or 66.

I checked that the SCPI command is working to extract data using Agilent IO Interactive. It should be fairly simple. Because I want to automate this process, please help? What Miss me?

    Thank you in advance.

    Solved.

Remove the end must be disabled to get rid of Reading TCP timeout.

I checked all the documents on the website of HP but still can not find how to connect and allow the second monitor BIOS for hp 8200 elite sff? Or where is a user manual?

Again, the computer is a model of enterprise class regardless of its use in a domestic environment. Many computers of class business use specific hardware environment and is not generally used in a domestic environment. Again, can be best answer to your question in the HP Business Support Forum.

To get help without going through the business forum... According to the specification, this model supports a legacy of VGA analog channels and a modern digital DisplayPort port. Two of these ports get their signals integrated Intel graphics subsystem. The DisplayPort port will require an adapter unless the monitor has also a display port. If the computer has been ordered with an alternative graphics or one card has been installed everything changes.

Please provide a photo of the back of your computer, showing the VGA port and all ports nearby. Also provide brands and models monitors that you are trying to use with this computer.

  • HP EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF: HP EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF: using VGA and DisplayPort simultaneously for double configuration monitor

If the title says it all. I'm trying to set up two monitors on my HP EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF. Here is my configuration:

    1. first monitor (Acer B223W) lights DisplayPort and displays things normally.

    2. second monitor (HP LP2065) is on the VGA port.

The problem is that my second port monitor never gets a signal from the machine and going to sleep mode. Connect the second monitor changes my main screen at a desk empty (no icons, no taskbar, just a plain painted paper), which I believe means it tries to use my VGA monitor as main display.

However, the VGA monitor never seems to show anything. I spent my main screen on the first monitor successfully too, but is not all about him either.

  • Three monitors on a Del Optiplex 7010

    Hello

I am trying to install three monitors on my Dell Optiplex 7010. I have the graphics card integrated ports (2xDisplayPort, 1xVGA) with you and use a PCI card with two ports (1xDVI, 1xDisplayPort).

The three monitors I have are out 2xDVI, 1 output VGA x.

I have been using some converters for my monitors cable to the DisplayPort Concerto to connect them to the Ports on the PC display.

Both DisplayPort monitors work very well using the integrated graphics card, but the VGA is not. I was told that it is because of the converters I use.

I tried several different combinations to make it work with no luck: (.)

Could anyone suggest how I might get this work or what graphics card I would be able to buy to make this work?

    Thank you

    Hi Shawn,

I've been in contact with one of your technical guys and we went through a few diagnostic checks to see why I could not as well integrated graphics card and graphics card dedicated to the work. We finally found a solution. Because I use Windows 8.1, I needed to update my BIOS using this link. Once I updated my BIOS, I went into the BIOS and enabled the multi-screen display box. Once we did, and I restarted my PC I managed to connect monitors for two graphics cards internal and dedicated, and they all work.

    Hope this helps someone.

  • Dell OptiPlex 7010 (mid-2012) /comment connect 3 monitors.

Hi, I try to connect three screens: two via the display, either via VGA, but does not! (Only 2 monitor VGA or DISP + DISP, DISP)

    Configuration:
    Dell OptiPlex 7010 (mid-2012)
    VGA: Intel (r) Graphics HD 2500 (Video_Driver_JVC00_WN32_10.18.10.4176_A17)
    BIOS: A20 (O7010A20)
    CPU: Intel (r) Core i5-3470 CPU @ 3.20 GHz
    S/N: F0MCS42
Dqstayn: ADMIN NOTE: maintain the label removed by privacy policy >

The CPU is supposed to support three monitors simultaneously, but maybe the BIOS does not support?

In any case, many third-party video cards will support three monitors.

  • Many problems with my D530 SFF, freezing and black monitor (windows xp operating system)

First off I want to start by saying that I am a complete noob when it comes to computer repair. But since it wouldn't kill me if I lost the files on my computer and I intend to get a laptop soon, I'm willing to tinker and try to solve the problem with my office on my own. First on my cpu fan had started to get progressively stronger over the years that my HDD approached capacity. And it seemed that the computer can get more hot than the optimal temperature. At the present time, I think the hard drive is completely filled and maybe ultimately causing my problems. Periodicly, I started getting messages that my virtual memory is too low and that the system could make more room. Now I clean a bit and delete files to make more room. A year and a half, this computer has not connected to the internet that last week I hung it and installed a bunch of updates automatically from windows (seemed to run more quiet and cooler). I also deleted bitdefender and malwarebytes and installed Avira. At the beginning everything worked well for a few days (some lag sometimes, but he had been trolling for a while) and that one day I left the system and did things around the House. When I came back my computer was powered down on its own. When I tried to restart led lights up and the fans and cpu but my monitor does not receive a signal. I turned the computer off checked cords, get rid of the dust in the case and that I tried to restart and got the same thing. After that, I pulled the ram and clean the slots and riser and the cd player and I tried to reboot after the installation. If I remember correctly this time the monitor received the signal, but the system froze on the start menu to hp. After that I stopped and restarted the monitor could not receive the signal. At this point, I decided to leave the 'thing' sit overnight and try again in the morning. I have two-way to ram and Board riser with those of d530 my father and got the same results. After about 6 hours or so I started the computer today and was able to start windows, but when I tried to access the control panel the system froze.  Initially, I thought that my graphics card was out, and I read somewhere else that others had similar problems when their processor is out, but the fact that windows started today left me speechless. It seems I can get liked long in the longer boot process I leave my office to sit down. What is an overheating problem?

    Hello:

Your SFF model has two known issues. The CMT is not the power supply issue.

    1. the power supply explodes and smoke if left unplugged for a long period of time, so do not leave it unplugged. There are videos of this on the internet for your viewing pleasure (say).  I had 2 of them jumping on me. Scares the heck out of you!

    http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=nHPf6jHdEFg

    More information.

    http://h30499.www3.HP.com/T5/business-PCs-Deskpro-Evo/HP-D530-SFF-power-supply-failure-information/TD-p/1040147

    2. the model is released at the time of counterfeiting capacitor.  The symptoms that you are desribing made the diagnosis of bad capacitors.

Check the PC for capacitors sealed or curved around the processor and the motherboard in general.

Here's a good article on who and what to look for. First browse the links on the left and on the right, there are pictures.

    http://badcaps.NET/pages.php?vid=2

If you have bad capacitors, I would just scrap the PC. IMO not worth fixing - what with the bomb ticking power and everything.

  • Compaq DC5800 sff: compaq dc5800 small form factor 4 monitors

My machine is a Compaq dc 5800 small form factor. Running windows 7.

Wondered what would be the best way to get four monitors to work on this machine. Different programs of 4 separate monitors 4 on each of them, what graphics card should I buyto achieve?

I have a usb to vga thing that might work for a monitor, so this means that I need a chart of small form factor card that can work 2 or do I need one that will run 3. I read that once you install a graphics card, you can't activate the onboard graphics in the bios. I don't want to have this problem. Please help me.

    Thank you

    Here is the Manual:

    Manual

You'll need a card video low - profile pci-e x 16. Even if you buy one with 3 outputs as a vga, one dvi and one HDMI usually you can only use 2.

    http://www.TigerDirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7717576 & SRCCODE = WEBGOOPA & scid = scplp698686 & kpid = 7717576 & gclid = Cj0KEQiAiamlBRCgj83PiYm6 - gBEiQArnojDzV29tsehaj_KoZBvaF_tPNYEd-lz4cTMeNrlTNijXoaAjPg8P8HAQ & gclsrc = aw.ds

And Yes, when you install an add-in pci-e video card, you will lose the integrated graphics card.

In order to drive the moire than 2 monitors you need a second video card, or a multiple display adapter cable. You have a pci-e available x 1 slot and there is such a thing as a video card pci-e x 1 like this:

    http://www.Matrox.com/graphics/en/products/graphics_cards/m_series/m9120pluslpx1/

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=9SIA4UB1J73800

Some of these x 1 cards actually have a quad cable optionally, you can add the display.

These are not for gaming but can run extra for things monitors as having walked fellow RSS site or desktop computers more available to work.

  • Comments by WinXP can cause higher res display my monitor?

I did only 20 "(1680 x 1050) displays connected to the MacPro running Fusion 3.0.1 but I want to test an application in my Windows XP guest who wants to have a bigger screen."  How can I configure my guest to be higher than my physical screen display for example 1920 x 1200?  I know I've seen invited Linux have higher res displays and they appear nice and scaling down in vmware, but my Windows XP screen of the guest takes the dimensions of my vmware window and always displays pixels one for one.

The image of the Virtual Machine window below was taken with grab and is 665 x 460 pixels (the actual size of the virtual machine window) but in the Windows XP prompt resolution is 1920 x 1200 and I turned on the magnifying glass, so I could show you the display settings dialog box showing you a higher resolution and a native resolution of my MacBook Pro is only 1440 x 900.  I was able to accomplish this by adding the following lines to the configuration of the Virtual Machine's .vmx file and the virtual machine must be stopped, not suspended, and merger closed when you edit the .vmx config file.

    monitor_control.restrict_backdoor = "TRUE"
    monitor.virtual_exec = "hardware"

Note that you will not use some of the VMware tools works with these parameters added to the configuration of the file but it will lead to a higher resolution then the native resolution of the host and the Virtual Machine window.

Now if you can work in mode full screen, then you should be able to achieve a higher resolution without adding these parameters, but I got the impression that you wanted it windowed so why the information presented.

Where is the .vmx file search the help file for VMware Virtual Machine package or seek to collect Information for VMware Fusion

Note that the status bar in the picture says that VMware Tools is not installed, but they are, and this message is a result of adding two parameters don't try so not install VMware Tools because the message is misleading in this use case.

    _Regarding SD card problem: _
Go to Device Manager, remove the SD card reader, restart the laptop and reinstall the driver from SD card.
The problem could be that XP drivers are not released for the A200 PSAELE series.

In this case, you will need to use the Flash Media Driver of Texas Instruments, which was released for other series.
