  Bought this cumputer 16 September 2015. Pluged in Ethernet no internet no issues at all, the WiFi, the connection is dropped randomly. Temporary solution is to diagnois the WiFi connection. HP has already downloaded new drivers a couple of weeks with some improvement but not a solution.   I have a work around. I have an old router max Neatgear range that I have pluggeg in the Ethernet to connect to my router (Netgear model B90-755025-16) ATT. The old Netgear has not declined the internet connection WiFi or ethernet.  As the B90 worked OK on the ethernet cable to the laptop, I decided to experiment. Good results

  So my best guess is the isOK ATT Modem/Router as a Modem, not so good like a wireless router. Go figure!

  I have a problem, even when the first time I bought this laptop. Whenever I put my laptop into hibernation, the screen is black as say he was arrested. But the only thing that differs is the market button always light upward. Like the one you use mode 'sleep'. The problem is you can wake up a sleep mode, stroking the keyboard or just move your mouse pointer, but every time I work in Hibernation mode it just can't wake up. I tried everything, but my lap top don't wake me up. Even by pressing the power button, it still won't even turn off. At first I thought it's my laptop crashes, but I tried several times and it has ended up in the same way. So I'm quite frustarted on it. The only thing I can do after I Hibernate, it's that I have to turn off the unit connected to my laptop or disconnected my battery. Whenever I do that and turn on my laptop, it will turn to the stop inproper screen. Is the hardware problem on my laptop or what? How can I actually fixed that. Seriously I need help.

  To check the version of the BIOS press F10 immediately after you turn on the laptop. Enter the BIOS and on the front page, you should see the version of the BIOS, something like this: F.26.

  Is a God thing to download the chipset drivers and install them.

  Hibernation issues could be related to the video driver. Download the latest video drivers (Intel and ATI/AMD). When installing them, please uninstall the current version, restart the PC, then install the new version. Restart the PC.

  To go further with the investigation, after the Windows OS version that you use. Please post the results.

  What happens and what do you see when you try to open the system restore?

  When you say things "did not work", we need to know which "did not work" means exactly... I get an error message, nothing seems to happen, the system crashes, etc.

  Try answering the following questions, the better you can:

  Maybe someday the dialog box 'ask a question' forums XP will ask these questions automatically when a new thread is started so I don't have to ask every time.  It might even be possible to solve a problem in a single response when enough information is provided.

  Please provide additional information on your system:

  What is your system brand and model?

  What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

  The afflicted system has a CD/DVD drive work?

  You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

  If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

  OK, so I have a Hp laptop and it has windows Vista installed. I had this problem where my laptop just won't start all the way and I don't know what to do. It lights up then goes to a loading screen of Hp and then after that it goes directly to a black screen and nothing else happens.   F11 is the key you press on start to start the boot from the recovery Partition HP process.

  It is not a process of recovery of Microsoft.

  If nothing else the HP Logo appears on the screen and the recovery to factory settings will not start, it seems that you have a hardware problem.

  I just bought a new Inspiron 15 700 series in January and in just 2 months it broke down 2 times. I am a student of the University & without my laptop I miss out on a lot of things. I bought dell because that my last laptop was perfect for 4 years & was held without any problem but this laptop is my worst purchase ever.

  I even called customer service, they kept me waiting for 30 minutes, I do not unplug the phone, the person even took my number and then suddenly disconnected call & he never called back. There was no resolution of the issue, I even he asked the number for the Department and the complaint which it did not. The guy on the call was harsh, I told him that the charger is working & he said, how do you know? I was on a call with the Dell customer 1 hour service & there is no solution. I wasn't expecting this from Dell.

  I am very disappointed by the Dell customer service, its quality is deteriorating. I don't have a laptop of these 3 days, I missed an important presentation because of this. A new laptop to fall twice in 2 months & Dell doesn't care. I would never buy a Dell laptop because of this experience, I would never have let someone in my family buy a Dell & I will post reviews of their service to the customer & product on amazon.

  Extremely disappointed with Dell Service & product.
