load cell
Hello
I use NI 9219 with model Honeywell scale 11. The problem is that the voltage for 9219 is 2, 7V while the calibrated for the load cell voltage is 5V. When I connect the two device, I always get the release of Labview, but how can I calibrate the sensor?
Load cells operate on a principle of millivolts per Volt. You should not need to calibrate the load cell just because you use a different voltage. You just need to use the value of mV/V provided with certificate of calibration of the load cell in the setup of the scale of the load cell chain.

Incorrect voltage to a channel with NI9205
Hello everyone
I measure 10 tension of cell with a NI 9205 (differential mode, volt min. = 1, maximum voltage = 3).
Everything works fine, until tensions are higher than 2.7 V. channel 17 (cell number 10), the voltage begins to decrease.
All the other channels (0-7 and 16) works correctly.
For example, when the real tension is 2.72, the measure shows 2.64 (and the value is not very stable). The more the voltage of the cell increases more 2.7 V, the more the measure of this cell voltage begins to decrease.
I also connected the voltage of channel 17 to channel 18, but the problem remains. Both channels show too low voltage (but not exactly the same value).
My sampling rate is 15, my conversion of clock frequency is 200.
In addition, I have two NI9217 in my cDAQ-9172 chassis to measure 8 temperatures.
Everything is measured in a task (10 voltages, temperatures of 2 x 4).
Any ideas how to fix?
Thanks and greetings
Socki
Socki,
with 10 cells in a row you are likely well beyond the sides of the 9205 input voltage. Please note that the 9205 offer channel for floor insulation, but not from track to track. The voltage for each channel must remain in +/-10.4 V of the common. With your stack of the cell you are probably larger than this limit and reduced tension that you see is the result of the entry of the 9205 amplifier starts to saturate.
As a solution, you will probably use a second analog input module and divide your channels in the middle of your stack of the cell.
Kind regards

Information on the State of the battery
Hello
I bought 4540 s Probook Ci7 four days ago. I installed windows 8, 64 bits. I checked the status of the battery with HP support assistant, and the result is:
Cell voltage mV 1: 0
Cell voltage mV 2: 4184
Cell voltage mV 3: 4183
Cell voltage mV 4: 4186
My question is, why the 1 cell voltage is 0 MV. Is this the correct state and battery works very well or battery is damaged and I can guarantee to replace the battery.
Thank you
The results you see are normal. There is nothing wrong with your battery if you see a result comparable to that in the image below. The battery has 6 cells effectively. Add the three values for the fickle current terminal of the cells in the battery. The value will decrease the remaining capacity becomes lower and a recharge is needed.
The following result is my current loan product HP-Envy17-3002ea and the HP Support Assistant.

NI 9205 analog incorrect values in multichannel mode
Hello everyone
I am actually measuring 10 battery cell voltages (which are connected in series) with a NI 9205 (slot 1) in a frame NOR cDAQ-9172.
The voltage of each cell is measured in differential mode with channels 0 through 7, 16 and 17. I have no connection to the NI 9205 COM Terminal.
The other modules in the chassis are NI 9217 (2 modules, slot 2 and 3), NI 9481 (4 locations) and NI 9401 (5 location).
In my LabView program, I put all the channels of the NI 9205 and NI 9217 modules in a single task, because a single task can function both for the measurement of analog input.
My problem is that some of the values measured by the module NOR 9205 do not correspond to reality. All of the tensions 10 cells is about 2.60 V (measured with DMM). But, for example, channel 2 shows 2.67. Some channels are right and others are not.
I tried to vary the frequency of sampling, but this does not really solve the problem.
For example:
Sample rate = 1000-online channel 2 = 2.72 V
Sample rate = 100-online channel 2 = 2.67 V
Sample rate = 10-online channel 2 = 2.67 V
Then I tried to put all strings in a single task and allow a task after another. And then it worked!
But data acquisition is so slow, when you create a single task for each channel and that's why I prefer the way with several channels in a single task.
I don't know if my wiring should consider all connections to the Earth!
Thanks for any help!

Socki
Hey Patrick
Your index really helped out me of a jam.
I had to reduce the frequency of clock to convert my module to HAVE. Now, it works great!
Sampling rate is 20 and convert clock frequency is 200 (for 10 channels)
The vi from the following link shows how to change clock frequency convert it (Set convert Clock.vi):
http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/WebSearch/42484E84DA98053686256D32006E0494?OpenDocument
For my module, I had also to choose and connect the "active devices" on the property node DAQmx-Timing.
Thank you!!

DO I HAVE TO BUY A NEW BATTERY?
IS THERE A SOFTWARE PROBLEM THEN WHY THE PROBLEM PERSISTS AFTER THE PREVIOUS WINDOWS FORMAT?
He is still having problems. Now, I'm ready to buy a new battery. Before that, I want a solution that can be useful to solve my problem.
any suggestions wil be appreciated.
Hi @hkjxx7,
Thank you for your query.
I understand that your notebook is slow at startup and when using. Here is a link to the HP - computers adjust the performance of the slow system (Windows 8) that should help you.
Although this link is for Windows 7 it will continue to apply for Windows 8, but you will need to change the way you access things like control panel. Computers HP - prevent programs to open at the start of Windows 7
Good luck!

Blood trace on Distance reading
Hello
I am trying to trace the readings of a cell voltage of charge (for blood pressure) on the movement of the origin of a linear actuator on the same axis. I just want that the readings of the two while loops to enter a chart and draw the correlation between them. Seems pretty simple, but all what I try, I can't get the table draw anything. When I run the program in the execution of climax, it seems to stop at the end of the while loop and never feed all the data in the graph XY. I don't know that it's just a rookie mistake that I have with the data type, or a failure to understand how the while loop needs to actually get the data to the next step.
Please let me know what I can do.
Is attached a photo of the VI and the VI himself.
Thank you
James
You need to understand why the While loop is coming to its end. The way you put in place, it will run until an error has occurred.
If it stops on its own, this means that you get an error somewhere in your data acquisition sequence. You should put an indicator on these screws to see which gives the error and why.
Once you figure that out, he must run forevever without giving an error. This means that it will run forever without stopping the loop, you will never get any data. You need a better way to stop the loop. My suggestion would be a STOP button connected to the stop of the While loop condition.

The problem could also be caused by a faulty MagSafe, power from the LED display power?

HP Pavilion dv7 LM726AV: upgrade Windows 10 problem
Running Windows 7 Edition Home Premium SP1 update. Try to upgrade to Windows 10. Never received 10 Windows icon in the taskbar. Downloaded the file "GetWindows10" several times by going with HP Support Assistant and directly to the web page of MS Windows 10. (Both lead to the same web page.) When I double click on the file GetWindows10 it brings up a window asking if I want to run it. I click on "Run" and it will immediately without doing anything. No message on what could be the problem. (I've already installed Windows 10 on laptop Dell woman with no problems.) Because this Windows 7 came with my HP laptop, is there something different that prevents Windows 10 from loading? Or any other suggestions?
Paul,
Thank you very much it worked very well. I write what happened in case someone else has this problem and reads this. I went on the website of Windows 10 you recommended which was different from the one that I had been responsible for front. This one also had a button for Windows 10 so I tried that first. You download a file "GetWindows10" which was different from that of the other site. However, he had the same results: she did nothing. So, I went back on the site to create a DVD that you recommended. I clicked on the tool of creation of media upload you a file to the media tool. Opening this file has two options. We want to install 10 Windows on this computer, and the other was to create a file that will be used on other computers. I assumed it was just an option to download different ISO on DVD files. I clicked on the installation of 10 Windows on this computer option and he proceeded to download Windows 10 and install it on the computer without the creation of a DVD. He worked mainly as clicking the icon of Windows 10 that my wife had on his cell phone. Why the "GetWindows10" file did not work and this process worked very well took place are a mystery to me.

Measurement of resistivity with MyDAQ on TEC ca
Hello
I would like to ask for advice: we would like to measure resisitivity Peltier-elements. If we use the DC method, due to the cell voltage-Seebeck effect, we don't get the value of the true resistivity. The common method to use the measure of ca in the case of these devices. I would like to know if it is possible to use a device of MyDAQ for this task? As a first approach do us not need more precision, it would be more as a test of 'broken-element' (there is usually a significant change in the nominal AC resistivity value indicated by the manufacturer).
What would be the best way to make a simple measurement? What if I use an analog output of the MyDAQ lets say at 1 kHz, and I drive the Peltier element with this AC voltage source? I connect a resistance in the series, and I measure the AC voltage on that drop. After the results, I could calculate the current and the resistance of the AC of the Peltier element? Of course, I choose a resistance so the MyDAQ can drive the network.
What is your opinion, where to start?
Thank you!
Sounds like a good chance to learn more about these devices. In these conditions, I would do the same thing: try with what you have.
A quick glance at the plug MyDAQ it is clear that the current of the AO is limited to 2 my. I probably set the zone of OCCUPATION for about 2 V and use 1000 ohms in series with the Peltier device. That will keep the current in the 2 limit my. Two lines of AI to measure the tension on fixed resistance and the Peltier device. Then, you can calculate the unknown resistance.
If you were doing a production test or did the measure with a DC bias, I advise to use a transformer to couple the AC component in the CC line. This becomes a little more complicated to implement, but has much to versatility.
Please post after you have tried and let me know what you found.

HP Pavilion 15 laptop: help! HP Pavilion laptop charger works not properly.
Hey!
My laptop charger is malfunctioning. We all know that if a device is unplugged and use it permanently, it will possibly miss fees. If the problem is when my charger is plugged in, it do not charge the cell phone or laptop to run out of charge instead it neutralizes the battery and allows him the same percentage it is (46% will remain as 46%). I just realized this problem last month, but I don't know what is the real problem. If this is the problem of the charger, it wouldn't charge or neutralize my battery at all. It is more likely that the port of loading is the problem but at the moment, we don't know. What can I do?

Also note that load capacity: 89%. This means that your battery is exhausted. This is the max your battery can take care of.
It is an indication of some possibilities. I would try #1 first, then #2.
(1) a problem with the AC adapter. It's probably not that the question if you are able to remove the battery, connect the power adapter and start-up in Windows.
(2) in the battery method control compatible ACPI Microsoft operating system device drivers could be damaged. See the image below.
Call the Device Manager.
Uninstall the driver from the power adapter plugged. Ignore the warning.
After it is uninstalled, right click on any device and select search the hardware changes.
The operating system must install a new copy of the device compatible Microsoft ACPI control method battery driver.
(3) failure of the circuit electrical distribution\charging on the motherboard
If it does not help it is time to use the warranty. The battery, adapter and motherboard are replaceable without cost to you, as long as the warranty is still in effect.

Error 200303 - coordination of DAQ devices
I ran into a problem with my .vi where I think several physical channels or my limited understanding of the call loops.
I've only been using LabVIEW since on November, and most of what I've learned is blunt force knowledge, so hopefully you can see what is happening in my code. Basically, I read in two encoder to measure the movement of a machine. At the same time, I want the .vi to 'watching' the encoder to understand when the device is moved from a specific distance (say 1 mm) and then read in a sample from a continuous string of tensions (I simplified the code for that matter) so that we have a measure for this point.
Previously, I had the encoders the two reading in via the DAQ Assistant and the measure of distance and the measure of angle in the code were both working. I changed using the DAQ subVIs because I thought that I needed so that I could remove another instance of the physical channel for Encoder 1 (considered as a local variable in the file). I then added the loop timed to try to tinker with it to use it as the moment the measurement. I'm sure you can figure out how I've got that put in place.
I'm not sure that this approach works, but it was my best bet. I get an error that I looked and seems to deal with the fact that the cards of the M Series DAQ cannot make calendar, but I'm not entirely sure what it means. Can someone give me please a more detailed explanation on what is happening? Don't forget, I did do that, but I want to know how it really works.
Thank you
Scott
I guess I don't know why you use a loop timed for that.
If I understand you correctly, you want to allow the encoder (the counter) reach a certain number, then read in an analog voltage. Why not just watch the meter until you reach your number and then use a case either read your blood pressure (counter is the exact number) or no (counter isn't exact number)?
A bit like this:
Also, have you looked at counter provided with LabVIEW examples? (Help for the...) Find examples... Material input and output... DAQmx... Counter measures... Position) there are some examples that show how to read a post of an encoder quadrature you might find interesting.
As for your problems with your original code, my best guess why you can't make your counter, work with your task of timed loop tasks are because you have two counters configured as inputs (so you can count the edges), but then you try to use one of them as an output (i.e. a source for your timing loop) at the same time. I'm sure that's not possible. A meter must be either an input or output... it can not be both.
I hope this helps.

WET610N not succeeded the DHCP
I have the job of bridge but I have to assign a static IP address for the above devices. I can't address an address on my DHCP server.
Here's what I have:
Cisco ASA5505 (firewall server & DHCP)
WAP54G - Access Point
WET610N - this wireless bridge
The ASA5505 gives all wired computers and wireless DHCP address successfully. The WET610N has connectivity to the WAP54G. The status page indicates that it is connected and I can go on the internet if I put a static address. However, once I have set up my computer to automatically get an IP from the DHCP server, it just expires and doesn't say limited connectivity or none. Again, when I put a static IP address, I have connectivity at all. I know that the AP works because I can get an address of my server DHCP (ASA5505) with my other laptops and even my cell phone. Why I can't get a DHCP address through this bridge (WET610N)?
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you, I did all that. I ended up back and perform a drop of cable.
