4 for-a-print page

I'm a recent convert it to Illustrator Corel Draw - so far, love , but I come off to the printing stage and seem not to be able to find a solution anywhere! (If all goes well, I'll be very slow on the uptake.)

In Corel Draw, after creating my design I go into 'Options, Document, Label' and define the document as a label rather than the normal paper, namely Avery label L7169 - then I had to have an image on the page and it printed quite fortunately 4-to-a-page.  I can't find out how / if you can do this in illustrator?

It takes a little because I'm recasting of the separate product (about 40) labels that are all labels printed on 4-for-a-page.

Can help any good genius, here please, I'm going crazy!

You're used to a procedure that is simply not in Illustrator.

You can either configure the layout you want manually (perhaps using symbols) or you can take a look at your printer driver settings and see if there are options to print plans of work several times on a single sheet of paper.

I have a M602 when you send a print job, it takes 2 t o 3 minutes for the first page to print.  The following pages and then slowly but surely print.  The next print job then begins the same cycle.

We had one where I work where it is one of the complaints and a firmware update seems to make a difference.

Firmware update also tackle the problems of security and they are free.

Firmware upgrade is found in the software section and drivers from the support page for your printer on hp.com.

When I do the same with my laptop (with Vista) HP, I get the printed page.

    Hi john1019,

    (1) is this problem limited to the pages of e-mail? You are able to print very well other applications?

    (2) how to access your emails?

First of all, restart your computer once and then test to see if the problem persists

    If the problem persists,

Step 2: Let me know if you can print a test page from your desktop

You can print a test page to check if a printer to print graphics and text correctly. A test page also displays information, such as the printer name, model, and version of the software driver that can help you troubleshoot printer problems.

  • My mind is wiped out. I'll put up pages in Photoshop 9.0 to be then placed in InDesign 4.0 for professional printing. Can you help me configure the proper color settings, and what PDF preset to use. And output parameters, etc. Thanx.

My mind is wiped out. I'll implement the color pages in Photoshop 9.0 to be then placed in InDesign 4.0 for commercial printing in book form. Can you help me with the settings of color in Photoshop, that is to incorporate the color profile; convert in space work, Adobe RGB, etc. and which PDF preset to use, i.e. printing, PDF / X - 1 or 3, etc. Also, what I have to select the output settings such as the conversion of colors with the Destination or the printer deals with that. I know I asked a lot, so thanks in advance for any input or advice.

    Best regards, ScottyB34

What are the settings of your printer wants? Some may deal with sRGB some want Adobe RGB Ctrl/Cmd-Shift-k in Photoshop, then choose North Amercian prepress 2

He'll take care of the tags for you, or if sRGB is important, Norh American General Purpose 2.

Here is a summary of the settings PDF and their meaning:

When you are ready to create a PDF file from an application such as Illustrator or InDesign Adobe, we give you a list of the predefined PDF settings from which to choose. Well how do you decide which is the right choice? Well, let me explain what they do.

Let's start with the smallest file size and the name of the type of the story. It is compatible with Acrobat 6, which means that anyone who has Reader or Acrobat 6 or above will be able to open the file. Now it converts everything in sRGB color which is a common space for color monitor.

All RGB is truncated to sRGB, CMYK and spot colors also. So that means if you have a job to print, you can see some color shifts in this outgoing PDF. You must decide whether it is acceptable. He can't stand live transparency, not flattened. It downsize image content to 100 pixels per inch and this is part of how she made a reduced file size. It also uses aggressive JPEG compression of poor quality on the content of the image. So, you can see some of these rectangular JPEG artifacts.

But it is how it gives you a reduced file size, and results are appropriate to be posted online or attached to an email.

High quality printing has compatibility with Acrobat 5 and above. There is no color conversion. RGB RGB stays, rest spot, stays of CMYK CMYK spot and it supports live, not flattened transparency. It does not perform some downsampling to 300 pixels per inch. So, for example, if you placed an image which was 300 ppi and then set to scale up to 50 percent there actually a res then 600 pixels per inch.

Well, this process would take half out these pixels. Therefore, it can create larger files but that makes it suitable for in the House of printing or sending Let's say a remote office if they want to print we tell cells leaves, or brochures, or something like. It's beautiful out on an internal printer.

Print quality and high quality printing have similar names, so this may be a bit confusing, but print quality has compatibility with Acrobat 5 or higher. It converts the content of RGB to CMYK destination values according to what you specify as the destination.

It is usually SWOP, S-W-O-p. It supports live, not flattened transparency. It performs the subsampling bicubic to 300 pixels per inch and because that it keeps at least 300 pixels per inch, which means that it can create some large files, but it is suitable for professional printing.

Then we start to get into the presets named 'X '. 'X' is now for Exchange. They agree on specifications and the idea is to have a set of specifications if a PDF file is compliant to these specifications, we know it's going to be printable.

We know that imaging devices are going to treat them properly. So this goes back to 2001, and which can seem a bit old, but bear with me. PDF/X-1 has a compatibility with Acrobat 4. I know, it sounds old. It converts RGB to CMYK content, it keeps the content of good tones. It flattens transparency. Downsize it at 300 pixels per inch. It can large enough crat files if you have large size images in your project and that it is suitable for professional printing.

The idea behind X-1 is if you send a PDF file to an unknown printer, you do not know what are their capabilities, you send abroad, it will be able to be photographed on any device. No matter the age, it is, they can print. Over the years, the concepts of Exchange became more sophisticated the workflow and devices become more sophisticated.

SP PDF / X-3: 2002, remains compatible with Acrobat 4 and that means that it flattens transparency, but it does not perform any color conversion.

This means that it maintains RGB content, place remains in place, rest of CMYK CMYK. He still performed bicubic downsampling at 300 pixels per inch, and therefore, it can create large files. But this is suitable for commercial printing, if the printer signals you that it is present RGB content is correct.

PDF / X-4: 2008 is compatible with Acrobat 7 and later. See, we're getting more modern. No color conversion. RGB RGB stays, stays CMYK CMYK, spot rest spot and it supports live, not flattened transparency.

He still performs bicubic downsampling. Therefore, it can create large files because it maintains the pieces of the image to 300 pixels per inch or higher and it is suitable for commercial printing, as long as the printer tells you that RGB content is not serious and dynamic transparency is acceptable. Some older workflow does not support dynamic transparency, or they treat well, and that's why always ask. It is a special case in Illustrator, something called default Illustrator. Its compatibility is Acrobat 6 or higher.

It does not perform the color conversion, everything continues like this. It supports transparency live, not flattened, and it also contains the original, editable Illustrator file in the PDF file. It preserves layers and it may be return, can be reopened safely in Illustrator and it's really the only PDF format you can do with safely. But it can create larger files, because you sort of two files for the price of one, they sometimes get huge.

So what predefined PDF is Right For You? Well, if you want to send for printing, the first thing you should do is to ask your printer how they want the created PDF.

They should be able to give you the plug for the creation of the PDF file. They may be able to give you job options files you can simply import and use as your preset target. But if it's a stranger the printer or the printer for some reason any said, well, I don't know, just make a PDF and this happens, well, choose the lowest common denominator to the PDF/X-1 test. Anyone can image that. If it is a more modern printer and up to date, especially if you send it to someone who uses digital presses, PDF/X-4 should be safe.

I always go back to point one, ask the printer. If you send it as an attachment or you're going to post online, well, smaller size of file is a pretty clear choice. But remember this, you can start with one of these predefined parameters, and you can always edit it to customize your specific needs. So get to know the presets, understand the destiny of the PDF you create, and then make the best PDF that you can.

  • I want to print a full URL in the footer of a printed page. How can I do this?

I want the full Web page to print URL in the footer of the printed section. When I have the URL printed in the footer left section he gets cut by the Central footer section that is cut off by the footer to the right section.

Firefox cut the URL in your print, if it's really long, and you also on the same line (header or footer), Date and Pages

What I have summarized below are based on this page... http://www.watchingthenet.com/how-to-change-or-customize-Firefox-printing-defaults.html

    I have two questions:

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

To fix, do a custom configuration for the header and footer as follows:

Print / Page Setup / margins & header/footer / 'Customize' the 'left' as follows (leave the centre and right all white)

    & T
    D & U...... PT

& D shows the short date: dd/mm/yyyy - and then the time

To change the format of the short date in Win 8.1, go to:

Control Panel / Date and time / Date and time tab / change the date and time / change the settings of the calendar.
Date / date short... change of j/yyyy...... MM/DD/YY

    QUESTIONS RELATING TO THE:

1.) how can you get rid of the time, who appears after the date? In Internet Explorer, you use a tiny "d" character - but that doesn't work here.

2.) is it possible to change the right font for the header and the footer, to something like 10 of Microsoft Sans Serif?

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Firefox leaves no room around the text in the header and footer to the edge. To fix:

    Address Bar / about: config
    Enter the keyword "edge."
Change then the four values of the printer that you use to:

    Print.printer_Foxit_PhantomPDF_Printer.print_edge_bottom... 5
    Print.printer_Foxit_PhantomPDF_Printer.print_edge_left... 10
    Print.printer_Foxit_PhantomPDF_Printer.print_edge_right... 10
    Print.printer_Foxit_PhantomPDF_Printer.print_edge_top... 5

  • Printer: Where can I get the latest driver for my printer

    Hey everybody,

Just got a new PC and I need the latest version of the software for my printer printer, where can I get that?

    Thank you

    Bill

    Hello

If you have an HP LaserJet printer, go to http://www.123.hp.com/Laserjet and download your software.

For most other printers HP, go to http://123.hp.com and enter the name of your printer. For example: "HP Deskjet 3752" or "HP OfficeJet Pro 8720".

    * Do not look on the Internet for the web site of HP 123! There are many other sites not HP here try to capitalize on the name of HP. HP provides your free software... Use the links above!

If for any reason, the 123 links do not work, you can visit the HP support site and download the software:

    1. Go to hp.com/drivers and select your language / local if necessary.
    2. Enter the name of your printer in the box under enter my HP model number.
    3. If a page appears asking you to select your exact model of the printer, select the link for your printer.
    4. On the page of software results, change the operating system to match the one you need (number 1 below)... he could already be selected.
If an operating system is not listed, HP doesn't have any software available for your printer.
    5. Select installation software label to expand the section, if it is not already expanded, and read the name of the software (number 2).
For Windows, if you want the complete package for your printer, you will want to download the software "Full Feature". For LaserJet, it will be called drivers and software "full." The complete package is much bigger in file size and takes up more resources, but she understands as a window of easy-to-use do things such as sweeping or check the ink and toner levels.
    6. For Windows, HP provides often a base driver package (Figure 3).
The basic package is much smaller and is often available for several versions of Windows as a full package of features. With it, you use Windows to print and scan directly from the software you use, such as Word, Paint, photoshop, etc...
    7. Click on the download button to start the download (number 4).
    8. Read and respond to the screens that pop up to install your software.

    I hope this helps

You don't mention what model of printer you have, so it is difficult to answer your question.  If you have a printer as the PSC 1310 or 1410 page is a page of alignment.  In this case, you will need to load the page alignment on the scanner glass, and then press the "Scan" button to complete the alignment.  Once the alignment ended the alignment page is not printed again until you change the next cartridge.  Check your manual for more details.

  • Why 3.6.13 cutting part of each printed page 3.6.12 okay on computers that we did not need to level, that is to say very well on all machines

After that I've updated two of our computers Firefox 3.6.13 (the two Vista running), I noticed that the top was cut off printouts of web pages to all printers. I tried IE (8.0.6001) and it prints properly on both. This was not a problem using 3.6.12, in fact one of our Vista computers had not been upgraded and it is always printed correctly. I did nothing to the printing preferences to one of the computers running 3.6.13 and compared all the settings to the 3.6.12 computer and they are identical.

Sorry, which shouldn't happen with a minor security update. No one else reported what's happening since the 3.6.13 update was released in mid-December. Make sure that your higher margins have not changed in Firefox - file > Page Setup > margins & header/footer

If this isn't the problem, try to do a reset of all the prefs for that printer in subject: config.

  • set custom print page margins

I tried searching the forum for defined automatically custom page margins, but I see none, so I would like to know if it is possible to do...

The reason why I want to do is because my program call for PDFCreator printer print automatically, and if it is not aligned correctly, it won't be pretty.

I use 1 program on 4 different offices and they all seem to have different alignment when it comes to print...

Maybe it's more PDFCreator problem, but if I can get LAbview to set margins automatically, I can take care of this problem.

Any who have lived with this before?

    Thanks in advance!

Set automatically according to what criteria?

If you just want to programmatically set, then as stated in help, use the property printing: margins to set these values.
