5510 fact cracking noise Photosmart ink cartridge access door

When I opened my Photosmart 5510 to access door cartridge ink it makes a cracking sound strong.

Someone at - it the same problem?

Or someone knows how to solve the problem of teas

Hi MHKA1379,

The printer may make noises if the transport cannot move freely. Return the document in the link below:

http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02865805

Under Solution 3, follow the steps to "check the way of transport for obstructions. Check and remove any loose paper or objects that restrict the movement of the cart left and right.

Note: Use a flashlight to light up the area.

If this does not help, follow the steps in order to ensure the "messages in the cartridge to the parking lot do not block the transport' and 'cartridges do not touch the printer cover.

Hope this help to solve the problem.

  • How to remove, head clean print Photosmart C6380. 6515 Photosmart ink cartridge compatibility

I had found information several months ago on how to remove and clean the print head, but I can't find it now.  I replaced the Photosmart C6380 with a 6515 Photosmart because when the 6380 stopped working I had to buy a large amount of ink and the 6515 used the same ink cartridge #.  However, the 6515 will not accept the cartridges with the error message they are an older generation.  I think that if the cartrides were not compatible, a number of different cartridge should be used.  So now, I want to try to solve the problem with the C6380 printhead, so I don't have to trash my entire ink supply.

Here is a document on how to clean the contacts on the cartridges themselves.

I think that the removal of the print head and of cleaning you're wanting is in this post here.

Please note that soaking the print head should only be performed on the print heads that are out of warranty. Check that warranty end date to the printhead located by the contacts on the print head to make sure he went from warranty. The reason I put in custody which is a printhead soaking, a guarantee will be cancelled.

  • 7520 Photosmart ink cartridges

T1) I have a Photosmart 7520 aged 8 months with 5 ink cartridge connectors.  Previously I need only to purchase the large black 364XL ink cartridge.  Last week, as my color was exhausted, I bought the pack-4 364, which, to my surprise, a big black, little Rose, blue and yellow cartridges - no small black.  Can I buy the small size black separately?

Q2) I was also surprised that every 5 went out at the same time, while still showing a small amount on screen.  They aim to stop after so many copies, regardless of the necessary ink left in one of the cartridges?

The small cartridge "black" is a photo cartridge, you can buy a 364 or 364xl photo cartridge separately.

There is a boot process that uses little ink when a cartridge is replaced to remove the air the printheads.  If some cartridges are low on ink (but perhaps not completely depleted) change a different cartridge may cause enough ink to use to exhaust the cartridges of weak.

That here, the document includes information about using ink in the printer, Photosmart 7520 is an IIC printer in the terminology of this document.

  • J6840 cartridge access door does not close

I just replaced my ink cartridges.  At the back of the access door are two sets of black bumps up and down. Tabs in one WILL NOT line up with the slots on the other.  I can open the door of ac cess to the rear, limited by the Ribbon control.  The printer will not do anything unless I can close that door and the back is always open about 3/4 ".  How can I get these tabs to line up so I can close the door?

I tried to call technical support. Their solution was for me to buy a new printer.

  • 6250 cartridge access door problem

My gateway 6520 ink cartridge just closed.  If I have not even lift the scanner cover, door raises enough to give me an error message.  Is it possible for me to adjust the hinges for the door sits firmly?

Jamieson, thanks for your response.  I followed your link to contact HP, and I see that HP won't talk with you - even by electronic means - if your product is no longer under warranty.  Pretty sad customer service.

I put some silicone on the tab that tells the printer that the door is closed.  This should solve the problem.

  • With B210a Photosmart ink cartridge problem

    Hi guys,.

I hope someone can help... I bought the printer B210a above on the weekend and especially love it. However, is to recognize that a magenta cartridge is installed, but this isn't anything like this cartridge. When I print update/report it shows that it was installed on the same day, etc, but in estimated level printing box, nothing. No magenta on everything that I try to print.

I subscribed and placed the cartridge back in twice, I have cleaned the print heads (a TINY amount of magenta came out, I mean a few fine lines) and have also realigned the cartrisges. No improvement.

All of the suggestions. I want above all to break the new magenta cartridge when it needs to be absolutely perfect!

    Thanks for your time.

Solved my problem... they cleaned one more time and boom... the magenta runs...

  • Error message = close print cartridge access door

I've set up my new 4500 series printer and I can't get rid of this error message.  I tried all the steps listed on the HP support site, but no help.  I can't print at all.

There is a document with the steps to solve a door open error. This document can be found here. You say that you did all the steps on the HP support site, but make sure that no steps have been omitted in the document.

If the error persists, then try to perform a hard reset.

    Hard Reset:
Unplug the unit when turned on
Disconnect the other end of the power cord from the wall jack directly
    * Wait 30 seconds
    * Connect the device upwards.

If the error persists, then try a partial reset. This reset path can be found in the document located here. The 4500 is not listed, but the reset is the same as the Group of the top in the document (method 3 and #).

If this error continues to display after all these steps, then I recommend to contact HP Technical Support on this printer. If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.

  • Printer HP Officejet 6100; Win 7; Access the ink cartridges

Printer HP Officejet 6100; Win 7;  If the ink cartridge access door is opened with the printer, the cartridge printheads do not change access.  No error reported.

    Well, couple of questions:

First, they move with the door closed while printing, I want to say it actually prints, which would indicate that the transport is not stuck on the side? If it does not move, it may be blocked behind the paper or something inside the printer. It is not recommended to reach into the printer.

Second, is there an indication (light/message) which shows the door is actually open? Otherwise, there is a tab inside the right side of the door near the label to ink cartridge number? It is located on the edge of the door, and goes into the printer indicating open or closed to the printer.

If all this seems correct, try a hard reset on the printer. Powered on, unplug the power cord of the printer, wait at least 30 seconds, then plug the power supply cord. Turn on the printer and see if it will allow access to the cartridges.
