  2. Type Services.msc.
  3. In the Services list, double-click Printer Spooler.
  4. Click on stop, and then click OK.

  8. Type Services.msc. In the Services list, double-click Printer Spooler.
  9. Click Start. In the Startup Type list, make sure that automatic is selected, and then click OK.

If there were jobs stuck in the queue, after completing these steps, back up in the print queue and try to delete.

Printers and devices, right click on the printer and then click on, see what's printing.
Click the printer in the upper part of the window, and then click Cancel all Documents.
Click Yes to confirm the action.

If the documents are kept in the print queue, restart the computer.

Try to print from different applications, to see if you have the same results.

If the problem persists, run the System File Checker: run sfc/scannow & analyze its logs in Windows 7 | 8.

  • 4508 ENVY: ENVY 4508 firefox launched the print job hangs in the print queue

    Hello

We have a desire 4508 connected via wifi to a laptop 10 (x 64) Windows.

We downloaded and installed the latest drivers available on HP and printers generally LibreOffice, WordPad or Firefox (normal web pages).

But there is a situation when printing fails and we do not know why: If we try to print accounting information for the bank account, the print job is displayed in the windows printer queue but it stucks and blocks the other print jobs. The only way to get the printer to work is once again the restarting the printer spool service and removal of the print job in the queue (which sounds easier than it is actually...).

We already ran this 'Doctor Print' application provided by HP, but it helps not at all.

    Is this a known issue?

Is it related to the driver or more likely a problem of the web page in question / feel?

How can I get more information about what exactly is going wrong?

    Thanks in advance.

  • HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4615: Printer is deleted when delete print queue of the printer in Win8.1

I right click the "Delete the print queue" option in "devices and printers". Who deleted the default printer and also removed the icon of the printer. The system then made the fax printer HP 4610 series the default printer. I re - install from the web HP printer drivers, but the HP 4615 icon does not appear with the other printing devices in "devices and printers". In each application, I need to select the HP4615 now that the printer before I can print. If I click on "Add a device" or "add a printer", the HP 4615 is not picked up. If I select "printer queue", then it shows the HP series fax and printer HP4615. How can I get the system to display the HP 4615 icon so that I can make my default printer?

    @Pietcar,

I hope you're well and welcome to the community of HP

I read on how you had removed the icon of the printer Deskjet Ink Advantage 4615 of devices and printers and since then have tried to reinstall the printer, which does not have the icon back to the printers and devices section, leaving you to not be able to select the 4615 as default printer.

Here are my suggestions, starting with:

    1. run the print and scan the doctor. This diagnostic tool will check for all conflicts that may be causing the problem. The tool will show you a report at the end. If there is a problem that the tool could not fix, you will notice it in the results. Let me know what the results detected please. (Select difficulty printing when you run the PSDr)

    2. run the HP printer install Windows Wizard to find and install the driver "Full Feature" printers and software and go through the installation to see if there are errors or if the installation fails at any point.

Check the devices and printers again to see if the printer icon appears. Also try to restart the PC to see if that helps.

Please keep me informed of the result!

If one of my suggestions, helped to reach a solution, I ask you to click on the button "Accept as Solution" please and thank you! If you want to send me a 'thanks' for my answer to help today, click on the thumbnails below.

    Ideas:

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

    Hello

If you want to change the printer to wait you change your default printer.

Here's a ride on how to configure your default printer:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/change-your-default-printer

Of course, you will need to have this second printer installed and with a functional driver. I guess that you don't mention the printer that it is installed and compatible with Vista. If this is the case, simply change the default value for this printer and you're good to go. Hope this helps,

  • Document stuck in the print queue?

I have a HP Deskjet 3055 A printer that I bought last year. Apart from the fact that it is supposed to work wireless and is THEREFORE not (grrr), it was OK. However, two days ago it stopped printing even if it is connected via USB. In looking at the print queue, it seems that a document my daughter wanted to print to work at home is still sitting there--I tried to cancel but the * beep * thing is just wrong and I think it caused a complete shutdown. I tried to unplug, re - connect, restart the pc, pick up the printer and shaking through, printer dangling out the window on his own body and shouting death threats and finally to chew my own arm out of rage, but so far nothing has worked. Does anyone have any ideas or experiences that can help? I would be very grateful.

    Hello

From the desktop, hold down the Windows key and press R.  In the run window, type services.msc and press to enter.  Scroll down to the print spooler service, right click and select Properties, then click the Stop button.  Now search for C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS, then delete the work inside this folder - you may need to click a command prompt to get the authority to open the PRINTERS folder.

Restart the computer and you should find that the document has been deleted.

  • view in Mac print queue

    C4280 all-in-One used on a Mac 10.7.3

I can't view the print queue. The printer never appeared in Manager devices, only the scanner and copier. No problem with them, but I would like to see the printer. I found the location of the print queue in the system preferences, but when I click Open print queue, nothing happens. I know that there is a long queue because when I try to print something, I get an old document instead.

I just want to remove the queue and know how quickly any time, it is needed. HP sells a lot of ink for me to print the things I don't want!

    Thanks for your help.

    Reset the printing system:

-Go to System Preferences > print & Scan
-Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
-Select the sign more to add a printer. Select the default tab on the top of the window. Search for the printer, select it, and then beside the dropdown 'Use', select the model of the printer (not AirPrint). Wait for the 'Add' button becomes available. Until it clicks.

    Overview:

    Location:

I ran out of ink.  I had not been printing a lot, so I did not fill the cartridges for several weeks.  I had a bright idea to reinstall the printer software for the printing/tool box I used on another computer.  I wanted to do a scan.

I deleted the software and tried to download the software again.  The disk could not be downloaded on Windows 7 64 bit.  So I got the software from the HP site.

When I try to print, the queue varies from 0 document (s) in the printer queue: error.  I reloaded the software twice, I put on a new USB cable and I changed the port.  I still get the same message.  Troubleshhot Windows printer also, indicates that it cannot determine the problem.  I went to HP and did not find any help.

Does anyone know how to solve the problem?

  • Failed to delete document of network print queue.

We print to a HP LaserJet 5 using Windows XP.  2 positions are hanging in the print queue. Tried to remove Control Panel command several times and it shows just "deleting - printed" and "removal - print" in the State.  They have been here since yesterday, and we can not print around them. When I try to delete from the printer itself, it shows no jobs in the queue. I saw another post on the forum on this topic who advised to go to the print spooler, which I did, but then couldn't run the second half of the suggestion to go to the print jobs.  It is a network printer.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!   The problem was that I had to go to the file server to perform this function - my brain wasn't getting this fact.  It worked - thank you very much for your help.

  • HP 5530: HP 5530 won't delete print queue after printing

5530 HP printer prints a work, but will leave the job in the printer queue.  It will not print another job, until it is removed from the queue manually.  How can I get the job to remove from the queue automatically once it is printed?

    Hello @G556,

I understand that you are experiencing print queue problems when you print to your HP ENVY 5530 e-all-in-one printer from your Windows 7 computer. I would like to help you to solve this problem today.

Now, this question can go down to a conflict between your printer and computer driver or a problem on your computer Windows print spooler. The print spooler is the printing system built into Windows operating systems. It controls the printing for sending to printers. If there is a problem with the print spooler, you may notice different conflicts of impression.

To begin, please can I you click here to run the Microsoft Fix it Tool. Once the site opens, under (2) select "Print, fax, scan, share and save. Then, under (3) select 'diagnose and automatically fix problems printing and printer'.  Select run now. Once you have downloaded the tool, please follow the instructions on the screen to run the FixIt tool. If there is no print or print spooler system issues this Microsoft Tool should fix it for you.

If the problem persists, please can I you click here to download HP Print and scan of the doctor tool. This tool will be "difficult to print" questions for you. Any connection or software driver conflict must be detectable as printing HP and the doctor analysis tool will attempt to resolve these conflicts for you.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hear from you!

I just bought a HP Envy 4500 printer,

When you attempt to print from a PC with windows 7 OS home pro (64-bit), the print job appears in the queue and then disappears, but the printer does not print anything.

Everything else seems to work very well know

    • The printer prints the internal test page
    • The printer does print when you use iPad2
    • The printer does print when you use ePrint
    • The PC recognizes and communicates with the printer (tried with USB connections and wireless)
    • Analysis feature works very well - when initiated from the PC and printer

    I tried

    • uninstalling and reinstalling the software (several times using software from different sources)
    • restart the printer queue service
    • Disabling the firewall
    • running printing HP and doctor Scan
    • following the instructions described here (the question is the same but the different operating system):

    • combinations of all of the above

Absolutely no joy in any of them, and in spite of more than 2 hours of research on Google and forums search I can't find a solution.

HP... can you give me a solution or is that goes back to the shop?

Well I finally worked on the fix myself by trial and error.  I changed the security settings for 'All' and 'Creator owner' to 'Print' and "Administer Documents".  Why on earth they were not automatically allowed as part of the installation, I couldn't really say.
