6500 prints very slowly or failure to print over wireless

I have the 6500 has more and he rarely printed wireless correctly with multiple laptops.

Print a line at a time, very slowly, stops with the reported connection loss.  Corrupt characters are printed on the top of the page.  More likely to have problems with the larger print jobs.

Impeccable with USB.

Measures taken;

1) changed its wireless phone system

(2) changed linksys router Belkin (wireless network is impeccable with performance of broadband for all other devices, btw)

(3) now use USB without problem

(4) software up to date.

(5) wireless report looks very good.

However, I would like to reuse the wireless.  Please guide me towards a solution.

Thank you

Peter

Well, go figure.  Because the printer has been moved, it has worked perfectly!

Maybe it's a fault ranging/timing as opposed to a question of signal strength?  The intensity of the signal was 3 or 4 before the move.

In any case, consider printing wireless solved my problems.

Thanks Rana.  Out of box thinking was a good!

See you soon,.

  • Canon MX860 will print over wireless network but don't scan (W7 OS)

I have two laptops with XP and one with Windows 7 64 bit. Both connected to a router Wireless Linksys - internet connections well, feel very good on the two machines. The XP laptop will scan the network, but the Windows 7 laptop gets a dialog box of Scangear with this message: cannot communicate with scanner, for these reasons scanner is turned off scanner is disconnected. Have uninstalled and reinstalled all the software and drivers (with firewall disabled according to the instructions of canons), loads software successfully - but still no luck with the network scanning. Also downloaded Scangear tool - but when he's looking for the network printer, it does not. Support of Cannon says now there's an incompatibility with W7 and Microsoft can only solve the problem. Also noticed that the Canon IJ Network tool is loaded, but it does not work on W7 - new OK on the XP machine machine. Would appreciate any suggestions.

If Canon say its not compatible with win7 is something for Canon to fix and not Ms

Probably that you have installed drivers updated from the Canon site

  • OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z: HP Office Jet 4500 G510n-z fails to print over wireless network

    Hello

Earlier my XP (Dell D620) machine stopped printing wireless with my officejet 4500 G510n-z. My Windows 7 D630 prints wirlessly without any problem. I have download the current HP drivers without result. I looked at other positions, but none of the viable solutions. The 4500 G510n-z appears as a printer, but all print jobs end with an error. I can't print a test page, Notepad, etc. All jobs appear on the queue, but they all error. It seems to be a specific problem of the XP. I have XP pro version 2002 Service pack 3. My network is just a Verizon Fios wireless router. In windows 7, I can see the actual address of the Hp wireless connection when the printer is added. Under Xp I do not see the address wireless when I try to add the printer. Now, it appears in the list of printers on XP but 7 seems to see the actual address wireless and allows me to select it to add the printer. I plugged the XP machine to the printer and it would work for a while then stops working. Don't know what triggers the loss of connection. How can I specify the connection 4500 G510n-z XP? I tried to add the IP address I see on my 7 machine but XP wants to a path of the server which is //server etc., UNC path.

I went in the properties of the printer and changed the address to match the 7 IP 192.168.1.3 192.168.1.9 Windows 7 XP, but not go again.

    Thank you

    Hello @adb1779,

Thanks for getting back to me on this subject. Because the ping tests on both computers is successful when communicating with your wireless printer, it turns out that you do not encounter a network issue at all. On the contrary, there is either a program of 'blocking' of printing wirelessly on your XP computer or computer XP is not "like" the fact that you have changed the IP address of 192.168.1.3 to 192.168.1.9. It would seem that your XP computer is a former connection with the printer. To resolve this problem, please follow the steps below.

    Step 1: Launch MSCONFIG:

I'll have you temporarily disable all programs background on your XP system to see if there is a program that runs in the background on your Windows XP computer that would block communication with your printer.

    1. Click on the Start menu
    2. Click run. In the Run dialog box, type msconfig and click OK
    3. When the System Configuration window opens select 'Selective Startup ' and uncheck load startup items
    4. Click the Services tab, check the box at the bottom to hide all Microsoft Services
    5. Select disable all
    6. Select apply and OK
    7. Computer restart when prompted

When your Windows XP computer turns please try printing. If the printer works correctly now it would mean that a program was blocking the communication. If the problem persists, proceed to the steps below.

    Step 2: Uninstall the drivers:

I understand that you have already done this in the past without result. However, if your product is identified as on 192.168.1.3 she is not installed correctly, or an earlier version of the printer with an old IP isn't be properly removed from the system. It is crucial for the repairs we have a clean slate to work with. Please follow the steps below.

    1. Click on the Start menu
    2. Click on programs
    3. Select the HP folder
    4. Select your HP Officejet
    5. Select Uninstall
    6. Please follow the instructions on the screen to complete the uninstallation.

Once the uninstall is complete, proceed to the next step.

Step 3: Clear the server properties:

Your printer driver can also be installed under the print server properties. I'll have to make sure your driver has been completely removed from both print server.

    1. click on the Start menu

    2. Select Printers. You may need to go to the Control Panel then Printers and faxes.

    3. in printers and faxes click on file and select Server properties

    4. in the print server properties window, select the drivers tab

    5. If your HP Officejet is listed, click on it and select Remove downstairs.

    6. a new window opens, click on Remove only the driver. Click OK.

    7. Select apply and then OK in the print server properties window.

    8. close printers and fax machines.

Step 4: Delete the temporary files:

    1. Click on the start menu
    2. Select run. In the Run dialog box, type %temp% , and then click OK
    3. Click on the Start menu
    4. When the Temp folder opens, Select the first item in the Temp folder and tap the SHIFT key on your keyboard.  Now Shift while, scroll down a few lines and click on another element in the file. What is between these two elements will highlight.
    5. Select the "delete" button on your keyboard. The Temp folder contains the temporary internet files. None of the actual files or folders on your computer will be affected by deleting Temp files. If a Temp file be used yet that you will automatically get the pop-up that you can't delete this item. The "deletion" process is cancelled. On Windows Vista, 7 and 8 of Windows you can just "jump" from the items which will not delete. Unfortunately, on Windows XP, it is not so easy. Take note of this point is unable to delete. Then, ignore this element. Click on the next element in the list, hold the SHIFT key and click another item in the list to remove another piece of elements. You will continue this tedious step until all items in the Temp folder which will remove are deleted.
    6. Close the Temp folder when it is empty
    7. Right-click the recycling bin on your desktop and select empty recycling bin

    Step 5: Reinstall the drivers:

    1. Please click here to download the drivers for your printer
    2. Once the site opens click on the download button at the top left
    3. Once the download is complete, follow the instructions on the screen to reinstall your printer wireless
    4. Once your printer is properly reinstalled please try again to print wireless.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

  • Canon MP560 print over wireless network but don't scan (OS Windows XP Home edition)

I uninstalled and reinstalled the software many times without success. I also called anon Help desk and after 45 to 1 h, still no luck. It worked when I had plugged USB but with wireless scan does not work, and also does not open MP Navigator. Any ideads or fix

I now have my issue fixed. I called Canon Help Desk twice and each time they were on for an hour and more, after the second time, they said it was my pc that was the problem. Well, their after disable me my anti-virus several times and still no solution, after the last time, I discovered that even when I turned off my antivirus, it still doesn't work, then I realized that the firewall ESET NOD32 is always enabled. Then disbaled the firewall and then the software for my Canon MP560 was able to detect and to complete the installation. Now everything works fine wireless. After more than a week, it was something so simple, but with all the experts, telling me what I should do, it wasn't anything thay suggested, but something I thought was disabled with the anti-virus, but was not. So thank you all for helping me with this problem.

  • PSC 1210: PSC 1210 print very slowly

    Printer prints very, very slowly.
    Self-test page took 96 seconds.
Test printing to HP PS RD took 05:34.
I've tried everything recommended on the support site.

In addition, with the regular docs (Word or PDF) it will print 1st page very well,

    then slow down waaaaay.

The next page will take more than 10 minutes and out very light.

I am convinced that it is not a problem of ink that I just replaced both cartridges.

Thanks for any advice you have.

The printer made a tape from the printhead, then pause for about 15 seconds before the next swath?  This is probably caused by the failure of one of your cartridges. I don't remember if the PSC 1210 supports printing with a single cartrdige, but try the following: remove the black print cartridge and print a test page.  The printer prints at a normal speed?  Is therefore the black cartridge was the issue and needs to be replaced.  If it isn't then, put the black back cartridge in and remove the color cartridge and the test page printed.  If the printer now prints speed the color cartridge is responsible and must be replaced.

  • PSC 2175 printing very slowly

    Hello

My HP psc 2175 all-in-one suddenly started printing very very slowly.

No new drivers have been installed, or any other configuration change was made, so I have no idea what could have happened.

    Any clue?

    Thnks.

Hello Soldadoryan, there are a few reasons for this. In simple terms, it could be due to the age of printers and use. Maybe this isn't the case in this case, however.

Power supply from the printer is connected directly to a wall or connected by a surge protector? Visitors are often surprised the difference in performance when they connect the power supply directly into a wall socket because our printers have built in surge protector.

After to change that, I would recommend checking and updating the firmware of the printer if necessary. The document here will guide you through this just to solve this problem.

    I hope this helps!
