  After that our latest operating system updated, our HP Photosmart 6520 had scanning problems.  Usually a reboot or as part of the scan on the HP computer would work.  Today, I downloaded the latest driver in the hope that could solve the problem.  Now the scanner is not recognize the computer, and I can't enable analysis of the it function with HP on my Mac utility.  The print feature works very well.   This message I see in the HP utility:

  "The HP software required for the Scan of the computer could not be located on this computer. Please download and install the latest HP recommended software for your device to http://www.hp.com/supportand then try again. »

  I searched HP website, but I can't find anything other than the driver I downloaded for Mac OS X 10.10.

  What can I do to get my scanner up and running again?  Thank you very much for your help!

  Finally I decided to reinstall windows 8.1. Updated drive and installed windows. He now works for Hp Printer Wizard of wireless - no error. Can now fax and scan of my pc.

  Something in windows 8.1 hanging upwards. Has taken ablout from 4 hours to reinstall windows. Now, I have to reinstall all my apps.

  I bought the above printer a week ago and it worked perfectly for several days. Then I had to send my PC for repair and when I tried to use my printer again icon today the HP lower right shows an X in it with the error "the Scan of the computer is currently unavailable" message. Depending on the printer, it is recognize my WIFI settings, password etc and it seems to be 'activated '. Currently I'm elmehdi to print, scan or copy

  1. unplug the printer for 1 to 2 minutes

  2. make sure that the power is connected directly to the wall outlet when you plug the printer back in.

  -New HP Photosmart 6520 was installed 2 days ago. ePrint successfully as well done. I can scan to an email via eprint, but cannot parse the document to my computer. The message of the printer tells me there is a USB connection error.

  -J' quit and connected a new USB cable and still nothing!

  -Also, I see that in my programs that the only thing listed in the HP 6520 folder series is the product of the studies and nothing else.

  (a), double-click on the icon on the desktop.

  (b) select the Scan of the computer,

  (c) click on Enable

  d click OK/apply.

  You can also click Start with Windows.

  Thanks for the additional comments.

  You can always try our suggestion.   In order to enable the analysis of calculation, you need to install the FULL features software, then by activating the "Scan to computer" as shown.

  I have two HP Officepro 8625 in two places.  I have a Dell laptop, running Windows 7 to use in two places.

  My 8625 office displays a message "Scan of the computer is currently unavailable."

  Printing work OK, but when I try to copy a document he cut half of it.

  I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest drivers, always 'no joy'.

  I see that you are unable to scan with your printer HP Officepro 8625. I will definitely do my best to help you.

  Software Printer Setup &-> click on Manage scan of the computer-> click Activate Scan to computer.

  Try disabling the firewall and anti-virus.

  I would like to do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.
  Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
  Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector.
  This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

  • Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

  Restart the computer.

  HP Officejet 6700, OS X Lion. Latest version of the software.

  Only admin users can scan the printer using the screen touch "Scan to Computer".  The non-admin users get communication errors. The computer is listed and after choosing works very well if the admin user is the active connection. But if a standard user is the current user, then it does not work. Scanning HP utility does not connect on the standard user account to "Activate the Scan of the computer". That translates into a communication error. But return to the admin, and it connects.

  Surely, it works in a context of user multi for non-admins. Do the other admin users is not an option.

  Standard users can use the HP scanning app on the computer, but the family loves the conveinence of the button "Scan of the computer. Its a nice feature. But seems broken.

  Fixed it! I just needed you to give me advice in the right direction. File on the file plist property seemed incorrect, so I changed to match the other hp plist file:

  I have a little problem with my printer HP Deskjet 3050 a J611. I'll try to explain my best. I managed to install my printer and everything works fine apart from when I turn on my laptop the Scan to my laptop computer function causes to continue looking for the printer every few seconds (when the printer is powered off).   Recently, I upgraded my iMac to Mac OS Sierra (10.12) and can not seem to get the analysis to the computer to work. I reinstalled the latest version of the HP software for my printer several times. Restarted the computer and the printer several times and it will not work. Launch Scan to computer I get an error "sakhi of computer can not be activated: the HP software required for your computer could not be located on this computer." If please dwonload and install the last recommended HP software for your device... This system has worked well in the past.   When I followed the link for the HP drivers for my printer driver need me for HP Easy Start 2.4.0.125 is 5.4 MB 28 September 2016.  Y at - there a patch to fix this?

  I wanted to stop and add my comments that @HevnLgh is missing currently.

  I checked the drivers on the site hp.com for your Officejet 8610. There is no feature complete drivers and the software for Sierra. I'm not sure if or when they will, however, you can consult the site regularly to see if they are released.

  Up here, you will not be able to scan using the HP software and will need to continue to use your work around option. I understand this is not a complete solution, however, I hope this information helps.
