  1. unplug the printer for 1 to 2 minutes

  2. make sure that the power is connected directly to the wall outlet when you plug the printer back in.

  During my first installation of my printer, I could scan at the printer and the file would show up on my PC.  I lost this feature.  I changed my IP address for everything, so I suspect this is the problem, but I don't know how to restore the network connection.

  My printer IP is 192.168.2.75

  My PC IP is 192.168.3.100

  Although different subnets, it worked before.  Different subnets have been used for others to connect to the printer without having within a specific development environment.

  I am at a loss to get started on that.  While I'm asking, I don't really understand how to change the PC list that appears when you select Scan > computer > {list pc}.

  You can try this.

  1. Windows 7: (a) click Start. (b) select devices and printers.
  2. Click on Add a printer.
     
  3. Select Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer , and then click Next.
     
  4. Select the printer that I want isn't listed , and then click Next.
     
  5. Select Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname, and then click Next.
     
  6. In the name of host or IP address box, enter the IP address of the printer , and then click Next.
     
  7. Select the type of printer you are using, and then click Next.
     
  8. On the "a window of Type printer name", follow these steps:
     • In the printer name box, enter a name for your printer, so that you can identify it.
     • If you want to make the default printer printer, see set as default printer.
     • Click Next.
  9. In the window "You managed to add", follow these steps:
     • -Click Print a test page.
       
       
     • When you have printed a test page successfully, click Finish.

• HP utility: Officejet Pro 8500 has more "currently unavailable".

  New Officejet Pro 8500 worked more fine for one day on an iMac OS x 10.6.8 running.  Then an unrecognized Capture of image scanning - device problem.  Correction to reinstall the HP software and reset of the printer in system preferences.  But all attempts to run the utility (version 4.8) HP give "currently unavailable" message if connection by USB, Hello or wireless network.  Am able to connect using the ip address of the printer by using the built-in web server and everything looks normal.  Only problem seems to be HP Utility works do not.  Utility HP was working before the problem of scanning.

  Correction of a problem via the option "scrubber" Uninstall found elsewhere in this forum.  Had already done "classic" uninstall and install (from this site, not disk) that has not worked.  Everything works fine now.

  I have a new HP Officejet 6700. My operating system is Mac OS X v8.5.8.

  I went to scan a document as a jpg file and it scanned and was recorded in my computer (wireless).

  The problem is that all the documents have been enlarged during the process, therefore, only about 1/3 of the document is scanned. How can I reduce the scan so that the entire document (8 "x 10") is visible in the scanned jpg?

  Also note that this enlargement is not the case when recording in pdf format, but the analysis is the only black and white, not the color of my document was. The scan jpg, although enlarged, was at least in color. Help! THX.

  I have a Windows 7 on an Acer Aspire 5742 laptop and an HP LaserjetP1102w. There are two laptops wireless at home. I try to print from Microsoft Word Starter, but it says 'No printers installed' and if I try to add a printer I get the message: Active Directory Domain Services is currently unavailable.

  I can print Self Test/Device configuration sheets (on this iPv4 reads the form 0.0.0.0), a printer test page test print HP print and scan doctor.  It is the network that does not read the printer.

  I disabled my firewall, UN - and re - installed printer.  I also tried to uninstall and reinstall the printer using the utility to install Windows 7. but who says this printer "is not currently supported by this wizard.

  I have searched the web for people with the same problem, but found nothing that helped me.  Not to put too fine a point on it, I'm at my wit's end.

  I solved it, but thanks for your time and your suggestions.  Where you see someone else's problem, it's the COMODO Defense + which is the cause of the problem, disable firewall from COMODO does not solve the problem, but temporarily disable the defense + the part of the program of the tour is played.

  Can't believe it was so difficult to solve, with such a simple solution.

• Try a laptop through a desktop computer wireless network. Office uses a USB plug for internet access.

  I would like to access wireless internet on a laptop (XP; Atheros 802. 11 b / g) with a desktop computer (Win64) that currently, I connect to the internet using a broadband USB connect the device (AT & T USB Mercury).  How can I build a local network of the desktop that I'll be able to connect in the House with the laptop?  Are there restrictions and limitations when using this type of internet connectivity vs a wired version?  (Because of where we live there is no availability ADSL or cable, just wireless).

  Thanks for posting. From your post, it seems you are trying to send a signal from your desktop to your laptop using a wireless signal wireless. It is here that I don't see where you have any broadcasting wireless signal from your desktop. If this is the case, then the current senerio would not possible to establish ICS and have it function to your laptop.

  I can no longer print on my printer.  When I try it says it's offline.  When I try to add a new printer, I get the error "domain services active directory is currently unavailable.  When I rebooted, I was able to get my printer to show that it is online, but I'm still not able to print.  I am running windows vista Home premium and have a dell printer installed by the network of a TCP/IP address.  I did not change my system at all the... I woke up the other day, and the printer does not work.  My system need to have installed an upgrade level of windows or something during the nite and now I can't print.  I tried to delete the printer and reinstall and it still does not work.  I changed the printer settings so two-way is disabled and snmp status is disabled and I still can't print.  I looked all over the internet and it is a recurring problem for many vista users.  When I logged support, they say my Windows ID is invalid and expect me to pay $59 for them to help me fix something that is clearly a problem of vista is not a problem with my system.  Can anyone help?   From your post, it seems that you cannot print from Windows 7-based computer.

  When you say "no changes made on the network wireless to our knowledge", which is the type of network you're talking about? (Workgroup, domain)

  It is a difficult problem to diagnose because there are many printers on the market and many reasons why it could not work.

  I try to add the PrimoPDF virtual printer driver for my HP laptop.   When you install the software I get the following error msg.

  -What it means and how do I install the driver virtual while I have this available in various programs printer driver?

  What application you are printing from?  Uninstall/reinstall the application - e.g., Word, Adobe, etc...
