Photosmart 7510 Scan to computer is currently unavailable

I can run a scan of my computer (W7) but if I try to run an analysis of the device shows the name of my computer in the list, he said that "without a computer.

If I try to install the Scan of the computer I get a message saying 'Scan to computer's currently unavailable... Your printer has reached its limit of the computer's connections.  Scan of the computer will not be available until another computer disconnects. »

He shows me a list of computers, many of which are offline or have been removed from our office.

How can I force the device to drop connections?

Hi JWMM,

Follow the steps below

1. unplug the printer for 1 to 2 minutes

2. make sure that the power is connected directly to the wall outlet when you plug the printer back in.

I would like to know if you are able to activate scan of the computer?

  • Photosmart 5520: Photosmart 5520 scan to computer problems

Scan of the computer decided not to work. I reloaded the drivers (including the latest HP - inkjet ink-SW-OSX - Mavericks_v12.34.44.dmg) without success. I tried to delete the printer and start again. The printer print wireless without a problem and I scan the computer successfully. The network connection is fine. When I went through the installation program, it tells me "a critical error has occurred. Please restart the application and try again". When I try to activate the scan to computer, I get a communication error "unable to communicate with the device. Check the cables and the connection parameters. If the problem persists, try restarting your computer and the HP device. "even if there is a wireless communication between the desktop computer and printer.

Any other suggestions? Is there a specific driver of El Capitan (OS 10.11)?

    Hi @AdrianCouani,

I think we need to adopt a different approach and perform an uninstall more complete.

I know that you have completed some of these steps already, but it is important that complete us the steps in the order presented.  Please follow the steps below and let me know the results of your efforts:

    Scrub / uninstall

    • Open the Applications folder > folder HP or Hewlett Packard > Uninstall HP
    • Click continue, click on one of the printers in the list.
    • * Only perform this step if you have not all other HP printers.  Press and hold the Option, control and command, while now the three buttons.
    • Click Uninstall.

Manually uninstall the remaining files potentially - I apologize in advance is not a fun task! I'll try to make it easy to follow. Some files described in the following steps may be found, if you can't find one of the files or folders on your computer, do not be alarmed.

This is a copy of a post I did on January 1. I hope that online experts can help solve the problem.

  • Photosmart 5520: Scan to computer

    Hello.

My printer is saying that there is no found computer and I should make sure that the software is downloaded and that "analysis of the computer" is enabled. I have the computer connected to the printer with a usb cable and the computer or the printer can 'find' between them. I can't find the place where to open the settings of this since I accidently deleted all the icons on my desktop. Whenever I go to the HP-> Hpphotosmart 5520-> Bin folder, I have no help whatsoever. I don't know how to solve this problem, even though my scanner works perfectly a week ago.  I think that my operating system is somewhere along the lines of Windows 8. Whenever I try to open the program, called HPScanDisco, it does not, even if I tried to run as an administrator as well as regularly.

No idea how to help me?

    Hello @Penwyn,

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.  I hope you enjoy your experience here.

I see that you are unable to scan to PC using your HP Photosmart 5520 e-all-in-one printer due to some problems of software installation.  I want to help you with this.

To start, I recommend that you run Microsoft Fix it (click here to install).  You can use this utility to remove the old software from your printer.  Note that this program says it is only good for Windows 7, but I tested it on a 8 machine and it worked fine.

Once that is complete, click here to re - install your printer.  If you find that the computer not recognize your printer, try a different USB port.

Please let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post.  If I helped you to solve the problem, feel free to give me a virtual h.o.t. by clicking the "Thumbs Up" icon below and by clicking to accept this solution.

    Have a great day!

  • Photosmart 7510 - scanning without cartridges

I discovered the hard way that I am unable to fill HP ink cartridges, and now my 7510 says there is no cartridge installed. Of course, I have to go buy new, but here there...

I am trying to scan something, but are the only option available to me for me to watch a stupid animation show me how to replace my ink cartridges. I tried to reset the printer, but I get the same screen. I understand, there is no ink - but that should not affect scanning or fax!  I could REALLY use some help here.

    Hello

I posted on the forums of little last year, including this forum. Suppliers (all, not only HP) should allow users to scan without ink but I believe that the main function of this type of devices: PRINT that why not ink they don't work.

Sorry, can help you but hope that they it will work someday.

  • Photosmart 7510 scan to email does not send eMail

I can scan a document to a file, go to my email, attach the scanned document and send it without problem. However, when I use the Document to e-mail functionality, email opens a window to the top on my desk with my properly included email sending and the attached scan as I expect. I insert the name of the recipient and click SEND, but the message is never sent. I'm puzzled.  What should I do?

Thanks for providing this information comet64.

You need to configure a local e-mail client, e.g. Microsoft Outlook, to be able to scan directly through the software.

Set up an application email with Outlook.com.

Here is an example of the settings of SMTP that you will need to configure Gmail.

What are the SMTP in Gmail settings?

I have provided a document to set up email for windows 8.1.

  • Photosmart 7510 stop scan to PC (Windows7). Diagnostics and help have not solved.

    Printer - Photosmart 7510.

System: I'm on Windows 7 home premium 64-bit, I have Norton 360.  Laptop is Acer Aspire.

Problem - Photosmart 7510 - scan is no longer to the PC.

    Software won't uninstall (so I can ' t reinstall)

Connect the printer software installation impossible (he always recognizes the printer on the network)

Scanner not recognized.  When I click on scan HP he says 7510 series unrecognized.  If I click on manage scans devices/printers, nothing happens apart from hourglass.

I lived all the online help and scan doctor and spent 3 days on this.  Nothing seems to fix it or repair.

The scanner, printer and copier what worked first implemented, including scanning to pc.

Now, everything works apart from scanning to PC.

A few days later the scanner to the computer stopped working and could not be recognized if clicked (for example to allow the scan to PC function).  Scanner the doctor then tried to uninstall and reinstall the software.  The basic device HP software won't uninstall, whether through the HP program or control panel.  There after the reboot, even when supposedly uninstalled.  I tried to reset the defaults on the printer, turn off the power sector, removing the printer from devices and printers, fixing and cleaning the registry errors, checking all relevant WIA and CPP are restarted and automatic according to the directives of this help: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Scanning-Faxing-and-Copying/Photosmart-7510-won-t-scan/m-p/1749193/high... I followed all the HP help topics and have tried drivers updated and installation of HP.com.  My laptop was rebooted about 50 times in the last three days trying to get this resolved.

When I click on the printer defined upward and the software it prompts you to connect the new printer.  It finds my 7510 (wireless), but says that it cannot install it.

I can't do windows system restore, because there is no set of restore points.  I tried to disable firewall for connections and installation of the software.

    Various error messages appear:

During the uninstallation using the control panel.

"Scan to PC Activation App" needs closing (I can only find in the tasks of process manager I then complete the process)

If I try to use the HP uninstall later said there is no uninstall HP.

    I have the original CD.

Any ideas as to how my scan to PC to work again?

Maybe this isn't the case in your situation, however, security software (firewall/anti-anti-virus/malware) can cause endless problems, depending on their configuration. Norton 360 is an extremely invasive program, part of what makes it so effective. But, get the settings to allow access install/uninstall the devices through 360 can be complicated. My advice before you try anything else, would be to disable Norton 360 (gives you regular intervals) then try Solution 3 in the Windows 7 of this troubleshooting document installation section:

    Hello

I have two HP Officepro 8625 in two places.  I have a Dell laptop, running Windows 7 to use in two places.

My 8625 office displays a message "Scan of the computer is currently unavailable."

Printing work OK, but when I try to copy a document he cut half of it.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest drivers, always 'no joy'.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hi @KT168,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you are unable to scan with your printer HP Officepro 8625. I will definitely do my best to help you.

Software Printer Setup &-> click on Manage scan of the computer-> click Activate Scan to computer.

Try disabling the firewall and anti-virus.

I would like to do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.
Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector.
This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

    • Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

    Restart the computer.

Try to activate the scan of the computer again.

Please try scanning using the analysis of the HP.  What were the results?

Please download and run the print and Scan doctor, it will be probably diagnose and fix the problem you are experiencing.

What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (she print or scan, error messages)

Here is a document that I recommend that you try, HP printers - a Communication or connection error displayed when scanning.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. I can't wait to hear strings attached good luck!

  • Can multiple Photosmarts (7510 and C309g) be configured to scan on the same computer?

I have an Acer PC Windows 7 with an AMD Athlon X II processor, 4 GB of RAM.

I have Photosmart C309g and everything-each 7510, both connected via wi - fi, using different IP addresses that are not in conflict with other devices on my network.

I executed the complete installation for both HPs.

I can print either, but I can scan only using the 7510.

When I open the HP scan diagnostic, it does recognize that the 7510 - the c309g is not yet listed.

I noticed only 7510 application record contains a HP scan application and it also recognizes that the 7510.

There is no application scan c309g folder.  I tried Win 7 Windows Fax and Scan application but that also recognizes as the 7510.

    1. is there a way to configure the system so that it can print and scan from these two Photosmarts?

    2. If the scanning using a 7510 and c309g does not work, could I use a 7510 both a 7520?

    Hello Osiris43,

Welcome to the HP forums! I understand that you are unable to scan a document using the Photosmart Premium C309.

You should have two printers scanning capabilities, because they have a different software. The Photosmart printer using the Solution Center and the Photosmart 7510 uses the Printer Wizard.

I suggest you uninstall/reinstall the software Photosmart Premium C309. Please follow these steps:

Please follow this HP document uninstalling the software of the printer.

Then, perform a clean boot on your computer. I'll give you a Microsoft document on this step here.

Now, install the full features on the site of HP software here. Choose your operating system that is appropriate; 32-bit or 64-bit.

Once installation is complete, please click on the document to Microsoft, and "how to reset the computer to start normally after a clean boot."

Please send me your troubleshooting steps.

  • HP Photosmart 7510 not scan to computer (MacBook Air)

    Hello

I have a HP Photosmart 7510 connected wireless to my home network and I can't select my computer when parsing the list for the computer on the printer.

    I use a MacBook Air with OS X 10.8.2

I've updated all my drivers, reinstalled the software and disconnected/reconnected to the network several times.

I can print to the 7510 my computer.

I can scan the 7510 using the HP software on my computer

I am unable to find 'activate Scan to Computer' in the settings on my computer (and all instructions on this Web site are for Windows)

We organize also several computers window on our network, and these show all in the analysis of computer selection and can be analyzed successfully to. (without going through the HP software installed!)

What is missing for me to scan to my computer? Scan to other computers is not an option (for reasons of confidentiality) and scanning the computer is also not ideal, because I bought the printer for the analysis of it infrastructure.

    Thank you

    Emma

    Hi Emma,

If the Scan of the computer does not appear under the HP utility, more liekly something went wrong in the HP installation wizard.

Try these steps and let me know if that can help you:

First reset the system as follows:

    * Be aware that reset the printer system will eliminate any existing queue and reset all custom settings driver.

Click on the Apple menu and then click on System Preferences.
    Select Print & Scan.
Right click (or Ctrl + click) your product with the Printers list in the left panel and then click on reset printing system.
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type your user name and password.
Click OK. The printing system resets.

Then, go to Applications\Hewlett - Packard\Device Utilities and follow the HP installation wizard.

Now open the HP Utilitiy and search the computer Scan in the scan parameters section.

    Kind regards
