8-bit modulo 256 checksum

Hi all

How to calculate the bit 8 modulo 256 checksum?  See the example from the manual.

Example:

To send the set temperature of 100.0 degrees to the controller.

Fixed decimal Set Temp is multiplied by 10 to get ready to send.

Convert 1000 d for hex which is 03e8

Send: (stx) 001c000003e8b4 (etx)

Then. in the example, the checksum is b4.

Thanks in advance.

  • How to convert the Ascii string containing hex to hex string info?

    Dear all,

I am busy doing a control/reading program for pumps of ISCO.

Right now I'm in trouble with to send orders for PUMPS in HEXADECIMAL. When I use a CONTROL to the STRING in HEX display, everything works fine (when I manually write down the command in the control of the chain).

Exist it a couple of pieces order: string Destination, length, ordering, Checksum. I'm doing a sup - screw that automatically calculates the checksum (modulo 256) and adds it to the string. Everything is going well: first of all, I shared the ascii bytes command and I calculate the checksum and add as ASCII HEXADECIMAL value to the chain of command. Also a CR (= 0d) is added. Now the whole string must be converted to hex. The string contains the right nummers HEX, but they are in ASCII format. Here was I feel worth it, I don't know how to do it!

    So to summarize:

I have an ascii string that contains the values HEX (for example 315230303652454D4F544531420D) and it must be converted to a HEX string (for instance 3152 3030 3652 454 4531 420 4F54) for the pump of the ISCO can understand the command.

  • What is the number of keyboard for Portege Z30-A-1E5 part?

    Hello
I want the Toshiba Portege Z30 A 1E5, but is apparently available for purchase of the German and Austrian sellers with the QWERTZ keyboard. I would like to buy an and Exchange on the keyboard AZERTY or QWERTY (UK).

However, I spoke with a company that and they can't confirm that they can get a part unless I can provide a reference number of keyboard (they also cannot give me a quote without it), but this number does not seem to be easy to get their hands on without actually having the computer and take off the keyboard and research under! I feel a little nervous about spending so much money when there's a chance that I won't be able to reverse the keyboard.

So my question is, can someone tell me what the part number of the keyboard is for the a-z30-1e5 portege?

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Kate

    Hi, Kate

I m wondering why you want to buy a Portege Z30-A-1E5 that isn't available in the United Kingdom?
The notebooks are pre-installed with a Windows system in different languages. In the case of Portege Z30-A-1E5 available in Germany, the system language would be German.
The keyboard also supports a different layout.

Portege Z30-A-1E5 was equipped with a processor i7, SSD 512 GB and 16 GB of RAM disk.
Very similar Portege laptop, Z30 - has - 1 6 was released in the United Kingdom. Its preinstalled with the Windows system in the English language and English keyboard layout.
Of course, the hardware specs are a little bit lower (256 GB SSD drive and 8 GB of RAM) but I think that this could be improved is much easier to replace the keyboard.

However, where you can buy the Portege Z30-A-1E5, I recommend contacting the maintainer authorized Toshiba in your country for replacement keyboard. Guys could control the keyboard of Toshiba law and could perform the replacement.

Just a note: the replacement must be performed by service provider authorized because of the validity of the guarantee. The replacement must be performed by an approved engineer to keep the warranty valid.

  • Replace with another color in the Color Table

Hello - I wrote a simple VI when you move the cursor, it retrieves the value of the 'color' to this place and allows one to replace it and all locations of similar color with a substitute color value.  I have everything first to normalize the image to be between 0 and 255 to match with an 8-bit image 256 values.   For a single image, I just have an image (binary) 2 colors consisting of 0 and 255.

I move the slider, which indexes the image and grab the value corresponding to a value of gray between 0 and 255.  I have then used as the index of the new color and replace the color at this level with the replacement color.

When I move the cursor, it indicates to me if I'm on a '0' or '255' but the color replace is not done correctly (even if the band of colors seems to indicate that it should be).

This seems to be a simple task.  What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you

    Hello, stuey650

Password protecting a zip file uses a form of encryption to encrypt the file. How, it is beyond the scope of this forum.

  • Genuine Windows Validation

I am trying to install an update on Windows Update failure... the update in question is KB955430... I went to the site Microsoft Web to download this update... I was told that I had to install and run "windows Genuine validation" I downloaded the program and when I went to run I was told that windows Genuine validation in question is no longer supported and should not be installed. I have searched the site for the software updates but kept getting the same program not supported. Is there an updated version that I can download? I've tried this in FireFox and IE... I used Firefox as my default but briefly changed the default values for trying to install this program. the web page in question is:

I am currently running Windows Vista: Home Basic SP2 32-bit

256 bit is the encryption level - not the bitlength executable.

Since you are using 32-bit Windows, you really have no other option than to use the 32-bit version of what either (including IE)

Using IE, go to http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=21393 and click on the button continue - what happens EXACTLY?

  • Windows 98 VM on a Mac

Hello guys, I'm new here so forgive my lack of knowledge.

I recently downloaded VMWare Fusion after that I found an old game of WIN98 that I absolutely loved. I quickly took the lead and created a virtual WIN98 machine on my Mac. So far so good.

I've already installed the game, but when I try to run it I get an error telling me that I have to run Windows in 256 bit resolution. I go to my control panel and I have try to change the settings of the virtual machine from 16 bits to 256 bits. I know it's one thing to driver, but I am massively defeated a number of things.

    1. I can't understand for the life of me, how to connect the virtual computer to the internet. I tried to play with the settings of network card but nothing got my VM online. Any help as to what I can do to get it running (the virtual computer computer is running is a MacBook Pro (mid 2010) with 10.8.2 if its of any help)

    2. it must be fixable once I get him but online, VM, if not how do I find the right drivers for download/install. The virtual machine only tells me that I have a "Standard PCI Graphics Adapter (VGA), so I have no idea about this driver I need to download."

My children and I will love you forever and ever if you manage to get operational.

Thanks a lot guys and girls!

    DonJu4n

The graphics driver you can install VMware Tools is then install tools and then you have a VMware SVGA II graphics card.  Also even with VMware Tools installed Windows 98 will probably not be running at 256 under VMware Fusion.  Others want to do this for the same reason that you reported problems although YMMV.

  • Still is the audio transcoding even if it's in the specifications

    Yet CS6

I have two separate projects, one to create a DVD and the other to create a Blu - ray player.  Each project has 1 video for Chapter 1 on the timeline.  The source files have been previously coded before being imported into encore.  The DVD project file is MPEG-2 audio AC3 and the show as "not transcode.  The comic book project file is H.264 with audio AC3 and shows like "do not transcode.

When I build each project, the first thing that still done is audio transcoding.  Then it uses the video as-is.

The audio track in both projects is actually the same, it's here:

    Format                                   : AC-3
    Format/Info                              : Audio Coding 3
Mode extension                           : CM (complete main)
    Format settings, Endianness              : Big
    Duration                                 : 41mn 52s
    Bit rate mode                            : Constant
    Bit rate                                 : 256 Kbps
    Channel(s)                               : 2 channels
    Channel positions                        : Front: L R
    Sampling rate                            : 48.0 KHz
    Bit depth                                : 16 bits
    Compression mode                         : Lossy
    Stream size                              : 76.7 MiB (4%)

It is a 100% within the audio for DVD-video and Blu - ray spec.

    However, again is this transcoding:

    Format                                   : AC-3
    Format/Info                              : Audio Coding 3
Mode extension                           : CM (complete main)
    Format settings, Endianness              : Big
    Duration                                 : 1h 29mn
    Bit rate mode                            : Constant
    Bit rate                                 : 192 Kbps
    Channel(s)                               : 2 channels
    Channel positions                        : Front: L R
    Sampling rate                            : 48.0 KHz
    Bit depth                                : 16 bits
    Compression mode                         : Lossy
    Stream size                              : 122 MiB (100%)

The only difference is the bitrate.

Why still requires the bitrate of 192 Kbps?  The bitrate of 256 Kbps source file is 100% in the specifications for DVD-video and Blu - ray disc.

Is there a way to stop this transcoding?

Note that there is no audio in the menu structure.

Put the a3c 2 on a timeline invites problems. Export to a single audio file.

  • chrashes iOS projector

I update a former Project Director to run on iOS. But when he embarks on the ipad it will break when all the hot spots are affected. Sometimes the animations will start but only for a second or two.

It is Director 5 Lingo, so there maybe (probably) some problems with the syntax

It uses 256-bit graphics (which will be updated to 24 bits), but 256 colors worked very well on other tests I did.

All sounds are 16 bits 22,050 kHz .aif

I created a mac projector that works very well.

Are there problems with iOS limitations that have not been documented yet.

    Dear TimT,

12 Director release notes page says "images Bitmap to 8-bit and 16-bit are supported not.", so your 256 color graphics card (which is 8 bits) may be the problem.

By double-clicking on the display area of the depth in the paint window will allow you to re - map each graph 32-bit without too much pain.
