8600 premium: Premium HP8600 loses the connection to the network

First... I lived all the troubleshooting steps.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software, run the Connection Wizard (5 times now) and the printer frimware is up-to-date.  It was the weekend last everything is done.  Press this weekend, and the printer is not found.  Simply disappeared.  It did when we first bought the printer, but then it stopped after reinstalling everything.  When I reset the router it reconnects and works... for a bit, then disappears.  Router is ok, that we have the internet and the printer says it sees the router.   Thanks in advance...

These settings are to set up your wireless printer to stay connected to your router, wireless devices stay better connected and makes your router secure and hack proof.

  1. Set a static in the printer IP address (click here) outside the range of the DHCP of the router (check your manual). It is for Linksys routers, but can be used for all routers. Check your DHCP range and change this first if necessary. More Help Wireless Printing is here (Windows solution 4, static IP).
  2. In the printer, verify that "Auto off" is disabled.  Use the built-in webserver (EWS) by visiting the printer address IP address in the address bar of your browser, click on settings tab/Auto Off. Or use the printer, printer Home Page (EWS) Wizard. Also check the properties of your printers.
  3. If the printer supports and has IPv6 enabled, disable the IPv6 option in the printer.
  4. If necessary and you have assigned a static IP address, try using for the preferred DNS Server 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 at the level of the auxiliary DNS server.

In the router: (refer to the manual of your router for more information)

  1. Use a fixed wireless channel as the 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto', try channel 1 first then the rest.
  2. Set the router to 20 Mhz only or 145Mbps router function.
  3. Always use WPA2-AES encryption (personal), but you can try the "mixed" mode
  4. Disable the WPS and never use it and disable the UPnP for the security of routers. No one can hijack your system now and help with wireless connectivity (if you want to know why, research on the web).
  5. If you have a router dual band (2.4 Ghz and 5.0 Ghz bands), make sure the SSID is NOT identical, they must be different for all the bands, even for networks without comments.
  6. SSID broadcast should be enabled.
  7. Save all the settings. Food at the same time, wait 2 minutes.  Power on router wait 2 minutes.
  8. Marketing the printer and check that it reconnects to the router.

Windows 7/8/8.1 is discovered the system on or off?

  1. Control Panel/Network and Internet/network and sharing Center / advanced sharing settings.
  2. Under home or work (current profile) / network discovery.
  3. Select "Turn on network discovery" and save the changes.

  • HP LaserJet M1522nf begins to lose the network connection

Hello! I have HP LaserJet M1522nf and I use it for about 1 year maybe, but since last week, he begins to lose the network connection (ping failed, web interface does not work too). To be correct, the printer is connected directly to the network through an ethernet cable, and the cable is perfectly fine. His work when you turn it on and for the next 5 to 15 minutes, but after that it lost connection (tasks start fails).

I really like using little aid, some perhaps of advice. Any suggestions?

Hard reset the router to factory settings and reconfigure your settings.  Pass the cable to a different port on the router.  You said that the cable was good... change anyway.  Try now.

  • HP OfficeJet 8600 Premium: Scanning to the desktop

    Hello

I use the HP OfficeJEt 8600 Premium and I would add three computers to the scan function, so when I scan a document, I can choose the computer I would like to than the scan-to-file.

I would like to know how to configure the folder so that it scans a folder on the desktop, titled 'Scans' against the 'Document' default folder.

Today, I spent a few hours playing with it, following the instructions on the forum and further research on google. I could program to scan to computer 1.

I then changed the name of the computer, somewhere in the HP Scan Utility preferences... then on the touch screen of the printer performs, under scan > not scan to computer, NO computer has appeared.

I would like if anyone can break it down for me. How can I program it to allow all 3 computers connected wirelessly, to receive scans to their individual workstations. ALL 3 are Mac.

    SECOND-

I want to program this tray 1 can be white paper and tray 2, letterhead. Have not spent time on it yet, but would love if anyone knows.

    Thank you

    Hi @cass321,

I can certainly help you to scan to your computer and edit your destination folder. I understand that you do not want you can scan all 3 of your computers when you scan from the front panel of the printer. Please take a look on the following document, you can find frequently asked questions particularly useful: HP Officejet Pro 8600 Series printer - scanner to a computer, email, memory device, or network folder.

What about using it the 2nd test paper for paper replacement types, please take a look on the following document, I suspect it will answer questions you might have: HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-all-in-one printer series (N911) - setting up the printer to print and copy of tray 1 and tray 2.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. I'd be happy to offer further assistance, thank you.

  • SG 300-28: duplication of port: loses the network connectivity of the destination host

    Hello

We have two SG 300-28. On one of them, I have configured the port mirroring because a host behaves strangely. When I create the mirror, the host connected to the destination port is not available any longer, for example, it does not meet a ping. Port source packages appears on the port of destination, but no package intended to be the host itself. East - this behaviour right? I agreed that the host on the destination port is always accessible, as it would be without the mirror.

    Bernd

    HE Bernd,

Yes. This behavior is just. That's how Port Mirroring works. The host connected to the Destination port loses its connectivity and it can act as a monitoring device using programs like WireShark (and monitor packages coming to and from the Source port (s)). All configurations on the destination port are substituted.

Let me know if you need assistance,

    HTH,

    Vijay

  • HP1102w continues to lose the network SSID

My Laserjet 1102w wireless worked fine for about a year.  Now he has started to lose my network connection.  When I print a status page, it shows that it is "connected" to SSID HP8AA7DC, which I assume is the default value of HP, and had no IP address.  I re-installed the printer 3 times in 4 days and it works fine for a day, then the same thing happens.  I am running Windows 7.  To my knowledge, nothing has changed recently other than to have an extra laptop using the network (never printed however).  This could be the cause?

OK, thanks for that.  We will set an IP address of the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address.  Set the IP Address of the printer to the same as its IP address but replace the latest figures with "250".
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS. It's Google DNS. You can choose a different external DNS if you wish.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 most not recognized on the network

I have a Qwest DSL Modem/router that has 4 ports on the back.  I use 1 Port on the DSL Modem/Router to conntect to my NetGear router.  I use 2 ports on the router/DSL Modem to connect my printer HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus.  I use 3 Port on the DSL Modem/Router to connect my Brother MFC-7360N printer.  I do not use 4 Port of Modem/router DSL.

My NetGear router is used to connect all cable (5) computer in the House.

I was able to successfully install the software from the Brother printer on all computers and can print on the brother of one of the desktop printer.

I have the HP printer software installed on all computers, but on WIN XP desktop pc I can not detect the printer on the network.  During the installation process, the software detects that the HP printer and the WIN XP pc are connected to two different routers (DSL Modem/Router is detected as a router by WIN XP pc).  On the another desktop running WIN8 or WIN7, it has no problem detection even if the printer is connected to the DSL Modem/Router, while the PC is connected to the NetGear router.

Someone at - it some knowledge that why I'm having this problem.  The problem seems to be with the WIN XP pc and not the pc WIN7 or WIN8.

You run a double NAT scenario, is not good.  Simple correction, switch the gateway (modem/router) in Bridge mode, which disables the functions of router and do just a modem.  Now, connect the Netgear router to the bridge and this have to manage all of your Wi-wired connections and.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8600: Printer is found on the network

The printer has been working fine for months, and today it is not accessible to the assigned IP address. No computer can print it or find, even when manually enter the IP address, even if the printer is connected (it scans to a network folder and self-diagnosis is OK for the wireless and network).

    Any suggestions welcome.

    Thank you very much

    François

    Hi François,

Try restarting your router by unplugging its power for several seconds, then let a minute or two to start.

Restart the printer as well and check for the difference.

If it does not help click on the network on the printer icon, tap Settings and select Newtork default settings, then try to restart the PC and try to print again.

Please let me know if this is useful,

Otherwise I would like to know the exact IP address of the printer.

  • OfficeJet 8600 super slow printing on the network

I have a Mac with os x installed Lion couple and uses the model of N911a of OfficeJect 8600 Pro. I have updated drivers recently so as current sound properly.

    Here are a few vitals:

    OS - 10.7.3

    Router: Apple Time Capsule

He's averaging about 3 to 4 minutes per print page from any computer in the network. I guess that's not normal. How can I trouble shoot? I've seen messages on the definition of a static IP address that I do not know how.

    What suggestions do you guys?

I suggest to set a static IP address for the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). Yours is 10.0.1.2 a.200.  We use 10.0.1.220 for your printer.
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.

This just started happening in the last two weeks. Whenever I have to SCAN using the ADF, a black line runs from top to bottom. • Lose the network settings after being off

    Hey all,.

Recently bought just the XPRT and I love it! Fast phone with a soft keyboard. I use the phone in Australia so I use the mode of GMS/UMTS network.

I want to turn off my night phone to save battery power that often forgot to charge my phone. However, when I turn on my phone it restores the Sprint network mode and turns on the entire guards and disables data connections. So you have to change it every time is a bit boring, so I was just leaving my phone in the night.

Is it possible to save these settings, so I can turn off my phone at night? Or do I have to leave my phone?

    See you soon!

Just turn on airplane mode before on you stop at night. Then when you turn it on the next morning they did re - define everything in the app from Sprint.
