OfficeJet Pro 8500 will reinstall not connection

Hello!  I'm terribly frustrated and don't know what to do next.  I have a printer all-in-one HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909g wireless that is about 3 years old.  Recently, I replaced my laptop for a HP running on Windows 7 64 bit.  Easily, I installed this printer on the phone two months ago and had no problems.  However, over the weekend, while on vacation, I tried to install another printer hp (5510).  I had the disc, followed instructions, etc.  But the printer would not work... period.  I ended up uninstalling.  But for some reason, try to install this printer screwed up of all impressions.  It's a different story, but I finally got my Adobe PDF printer works again.

Back to today... I'm trying to print something and realize my 8500 printer is listed under "Devices and printers" and all programs are installed, but it will not be printed.  It shows no communication with the printer.  I am sure that he had to do to try to install the 5510.  After hours of troubleshooting, I finally uninstall the 8500 and try to reinstall.  (Remember, it worked fine before this past weekend!)  I downloaded from HP site because my installion CD does not support Windows 7.  For some reason, all the drivers will not download.  I tried FOUR TIMES.  I ran troubleshooting, diagnosis... you name it.  The printer appear in the programs, but not the devices and printers.

I have connected the printer via USB directly to my computer and it has yet to install correctly.  Wired and wireless configurations show no connection to the printer.

I'm not an expert, but can generally understand things.  I installed this printer even on three different computers all current to run Windows 7 and have never had a problem.  Help, please!

Curiously, I did this throughout this process today, and it could find the drivers of 4 numbers.  Being extremely frustrated, I decided to restore to a point before that I tried to install this second printer (which I am certain is the root of all my troubles).  By some miracle, it's what needed!  Everything works now.  Thank you once again, Shane, for all your help and patience.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910 was not found.

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500 bought more just. After you have installed on a HP Pavilion m8100n desktop, everything works but the scanner. I get this message "The HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910 is not found". Spent 3.5 hrs on the phone with HP support, they think that this is a problem in microsoft software. Hi BradKeith,

You can try to completely uninstall the printer and before you reaffirm the system try to download the drivers from the HP site and trying to install and check.

You can also check if uninstalling and reinstalling the video card drivers solves the problem.

    Method 1:

Step 1: Uninstall the drivers from programs and features

    a. click on start

    b. type appwiz.cpl in search, and then press ENTER.

    c. find the printer driver packages, right click and uninstall it.

Step 2: Uninstall the drivers from Device Manager.

    a. click on start

    b. type devmgmt.msc in search, and then press enter

    c. in find Manager device for the device, right-click on it and select the option uninstall.

Before restarting the system, try to install the latest drivers from the HP site and check.

    Method 2:

You can temporarily disable the Norton Security software and the firewall installed on the system and check.

Note: Be sure to enable the security software on the computer after checking.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Is it safe turn off an officejet pro 8500 a when not in service.

Is it safe turn off an officejet pro 8500 a when not in service. The electricity in my area off two or three times a day and every time that happens the printer begins once again reset. I'm afraid that whenever it cleans the printer heads is a waste of ink.

    Hi fernan215,

Yes, turn off your printer when not in use. A fluctuation of current or failure can cause more damage to your printer when it is still on. You are also right that the printer is cleaning the heads and align the cartridges every time it is turned on. This is to ensure stability, good maintenance and calibration of your inks for the best output every time.

Please follow the steps for exactly the problem and check for the difference:

HP all-in-One Printer Remote App for Windows 8.1 printer is located if it is connected.

and HP and Capture app scanning allows you to scan with compatible devices.

You say that the problem occurs even when you print reports of self-test of the printer. Have you tried to print a report of quality printing under the Setup menu > reports to see if the problem appears in this report as well?

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 A909g do not receive the correct IP address of the DHCP server

    Hello

We have reconfigured our network to use 172.16.11.xxxx

We have assigned our OfficeJet Pro 8500 A909g printers IP addresses by using DHCP reservations.

After joining the wireless network, all our printers have an address of 169.254.xxxx.xxx.

    What Miss me?

    Thank you

    Christophe

DHCP is still active on your router?  The printer must have active DHCP.

169.254.x.x means the printer sees the router, but does not have a valid IP address to him.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus does not connect through the Device Manager but will connect bij Win7.

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus that works very well with some computers connected via ethernet.

On a new computer with Windows 7 Ultimate edition, HP Device Manager can't find the printer, even when I give IP address.

When I try to add a new printer network in Windows (add printer) windows detects the printer less than a second.

I need the hp Device Manager configuration so I can use all the options off the officejet.

    Problem solved.

The printer has a fixed IP address and the customer got his IP by DHCP. By dhcp, dns suffix has been changed so the printer dns suffix and the client does not mach.

Now the printer receives its IP address by the dhcp server. The dhcp server always gives the same address to the printer.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8000 Wireless does not connect to my new Airport Extreme router

I've owned my Officejet 8000 Wireless printer for about a year and had no problems with it.  However, my old wireless router wasn't fully compatible Mac so I couldn't fix it with a password.  I now need a secure network, so I bought an Apple Airport Extreme router in December.

Last night, I installed the router and it works fine on my iMac, my laptop and my iPhone.

However, tonight, I'm trying to implement Officejet Pro 8000 with no luck.  I searched the posts here for 3 hours and am not finding the help I need.  Based on the other posts, I read, I describe my situation below.

I am trying to set up the printer in my iMac Intel with Mac OS 10.6.4

I'm trying to set up the printer with the installation wizard HP I just install the printer software.

On the first screen of the wizard, it tells me that my device is not configured (I agree)

Then I ask him to set up a wireless network.

When I get to the network selection page, both my network AND my network of comments (that I let my neighbor use) are on the list with the full signal strength.

When I click on my network and then continue, the HP installation wizard hangs and I have to stop, he.

When I click on my guest and then network continue, I get the message that my network is not within reach.  (FYI, the printer is 10 feet from the router).

I tried to power on/off the printer, the router and the computer at all different stages of the process with no luck.

    For my Airport:

My radio is set to the most compatible choice

MAC access control is not enabled

    Everything is WPA2 security

'Use wide channels' and "Create a closed network" is unchecked

The channel is set to 11

I'm happy to try the "Add client in the network" thing I've seen on other posts, but I don't think that I have a front panel of the printer where I can start the "WPS" (don't know what it is) process.   If I do, it is not obvious and not in the HP manual.

My ISP is Comcast (cable internet).

I'd really, really grateful for the help!  Please let me know what I forgot to include information, and I will be happy to provide it.

    Thank you!

OK to reset the printing system again, he may be blocked.

  • Officejet Pro 8600: Officejet Pro 8600 will grab not photo paper

I bought HP printers for decades. The quality took a nose dive. My 8600 will grab not photo paper. My only previous simply stopped printing using all colors... it looked like version a printer a ransom note. I won't buy HP again. It is too bad HP sold me 80 lb paper then their printers do not print it. I spent hours on it and am VERY frustrated. I have in my office purchase 3 8600 s and they all have the same problems (more). Shame on you HP.

    Hello

HP Officejet Pro 8600 support up to 66 lb bond paper, the paper you use is too thick and not compatible with the printer.

Below, you can find specifications of paper, check paper tray capabilities that list of all media supported for Tray 1:

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8610: 8610 does not connect to the password protected network (but connects to the unprotected network)

I had a HP 8600 that connected to my WiFi at home.  It broke and I replaced it with a HP 8610.  When I try to connect the new printer to my WiFi at home, it is not identifying the printer in the search process.  I have searched the forums and tried to correct the problem and nothing works.

HOWEVER, I've set up a WiFi comments without password protection and when I am connected to this network, the HP software recognizes the 8610 and I can install it.

I hope that the foregoing will provide enough information to identify the source of the problem and a solution (easy) (?).

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi @JDWUser,

I'd love to help you with your 8610 replacement printer. I understand that you had the 8600 on your network, but the 8610 will configure not to password protected network. I recommend you to go through this guide How to find the WEP or WPA key or the password of your wireless network, just to check your wireless password.

Is your password contains special characters that maybe the printer does not? Are adjust you upper and lower case? I know that you explained that your password has not changed and that the printer has been configured successfully on the network before, I'm just trying to isolate a potential cause.

Restore the default network on the printer then rerun the wireless Assistant might help.

What is your type of encryption, and who is your supplier of router?  I saw a problem recently with WPA2 secret codes, but this issue seems to be from some routers and firmware updates.

Please do not forget to keep me informed of the outcome of your efforts in order to contact you, and don't forget to post back with the asnwer the questions I asked. Thanks, I look forward to hear from you.

  • My OfficeJet Pro 8500 will not install on a fresh install of Win7.

The complete SW installs fine, is the printer but when I try to install it, it does not install.  Solution Center does not start and says I need to plug in the USB cable.  The printer is a printer wired (ethernet to my wireless router cable) and I'm installing on a laptop (wireless).  I used the network installation and selected the wireframe option in trying to connect.  Wrong driver installed, maybe?

    Hi daves000,

If you have the printer ethernet connected to the router, but the wireless laptop is connected to the router, which you must select the type of wireless connection during installation. Let me know if this solve your problem?

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 a Premium: HP connected

I own 3 different HP printers ePrint and I have successfully used ePrint for each of them. However, only my 6520 Photosmart and Officejet 4630 show on my connected devices tab to the HP web page. My 8500 is not in the list. So I can't do all of the parameter so that it runs as I can the other 2 printers. Things like change the email of the printer. I tried turning off the ePrint and services App and turn on again several times, but which does not regenerate an activation code for me. I was hoping that I would try to reactivate my service ePrint for my printer as a possible solution. But my printer seems always to remember that he has already been setup. I don't know if it will work, but it's the only solution I can think. What can I do to fix this?

    Hello svamvakis,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I think you are on the right track regarding the printer do not enter in the 'Devices' section HPConnected. Rather than turn then reactivate the ePrint, try to restore the default values, or disable it. It must request a new code and then you will be able to add the printer and then personalize the Email.
