ePrint for HP Officejet Pro 8500 a works, but ePrint closed my sign-in account

I used ePrint with my HP Officejet Pro 8500 has for 2 years and it works very well.  After the last update of software, I tried to connect to my ePrint account to add another user authorized, but the system has forgotten my E-mail address.  I know that I am using the correct E-mail address, because I me reminders for my printer HP mail to that address and it is the only one I use for business, but I can't even trigger a password because the new ePrint says that I do not exist.

If I create a new account for the same printer, will be that collide?  I have the printer email address and use it regularly, so I know it is properly connected to my wireless and it converses with ePrint.  Is it possible to recover an account if you have the printer email address and serial number?

Thank you!

David

Hi David,

Click on the link you have forgotten the password of on the connection page and provide your email address to reset the password.

https://h30495.www3.HP.com/user_login?next=%2fc%2F46193%2FUS%2Fen%2f

If the e-mail address is not recognized, try resetting the password via the Snapfish HP site... This may work if the accound has been marked to be associated with HP Snapfish during registration:

http://www1.Snapfish.com/Snapfish/forgotpassword/module=true

Last but not least, you have migrated your account with the new HP service connected, then try to recover your password below:

https://Toran.hpconnected.com/OAuth/UI/resetpwdpage

The sites above should cover any association account as possible and I believe that one of them should recognize your email address and allow to reset the password.

Please help solve the problem. What information do you need?

I tried both solutions you provided.

    None worked.

I had the problem with a HP Photosmart 2610 AIO printer that I have had for almost 10 years. Has been using remanufactured ink cartridges and they work perfectly until there are about 3 1/2 months. The printer works now than if I use HP ink cartridges. I'm guessing that some required HP update HP ink cartridge only!

I have tried everything I know to try and even some suggestions for HP and nothing works. So, I thought to replace the remanufactured cartridges that were installed in my printer 8500 currenty (I had a mixture of HP and refurbished who had worked successfully for a while) with original HP cartridges.  This seems to have solved my problem with printing.

Of course, there was a HP update that required the printer using HP ink cartridges to perform. Is there anyway that we can get this update? If so, I would like instructions to do it for my two printers.

Thanking you in advance for a quick response.

    Kind regards!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 first, working to the new router. Menu locked up now, wireless

Printer is HP73053C (Office Jet Pro 8500 A909n first) converted from DSL to cable modem.  Now wireless cannot find printer and lost top buttons (Tools, ink level and help) features.  Windows 7 pro 64-bit.  HP support intervened during the WEB search and told me I was out of warranty for them to help me.  Reconnected printer on USB, reinstalled the drivers, (OJP8500VA909_Full_14.exe) thin printer on USB but still can not find way to unlock lock-up wireless.  Still no access tools, ink (try to get to the wireless configuration) or menus help, no answer on the softscreen buttons.

Please, can anyone help?  Is it possible to perform a "hard reset" on the printer?

OK, you can try a reset more mild # and 6 keys.

  • Printer HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus works but the Scanner does not

I recently bought a Toshiba laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.  My previous laptop is a Toshiba also upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.  I have a printer HP Officejet Pro 8600 more all-in-one printer.  The printer/scanner works fine with my laptop more older but with the new laptop that I can't get to the printer.  I am not able to get the scanner to work.  I reloaded the software several times but the scanner still does not work.  The scanner works fine with laptop more old, even if it has the same operating system.  I get an error message that says "Scan of the computer is turned on.  You can start a scan from the printer.  Your computer is not listed as an available computer control panel of the printer.  If please restart your printer and try again. "Can anyone help with this?

    Hi ranjisamaraweera,

Even though I'm MVP I represent Microsoft or speak. If I can and will speak
    as I think.

The proper functioning of the printer and Scanner is the direct responsibility of the producer of material
and no windows. There are hundreds of these devices that work correctly on Windows 7 if
those who don't have no drivers and other interfaces which are not compatible to Windows 7 should be
written correctly. Of course many older devices are not supported by their creators for later
Versions of Windows. Microsoft passes but does not write drivers and interfaces
Printers and Scanners need to function properly. So, the manufacturer and no one else, is totally
Manager to see if there are interfaces and appropriate drivers.

Many device makers do not write new drivers and interfaces for older hardware because either
they cannot support the new methods or because they want to sell new hardware.

Personally, I don't think that Microsoft is lying because they also say that device manufacturers have the
Omos unique to provide the necessary compatible drivers and interfaces.

    I hope this helps.

  • How to change the destination folder on a computer for an Officejet Pro 8500 network scans.

The manual says to launch the HP Device Manager. There is no such program in the Application directory.  The closest thing is a utility that is more easily accessible through system preferences.  But there is nothing in the utility for adjusting the settings of the scanner!  I even restarted the installer where I put the destination initially, but it never shows the screens for this now?  Is there something other in fact named device manager HP OSX that will override the setting of the destination folder for the scans initiated from the printer?

    Hi DMaclay,

you use the digital archiving functionality to scan directly into a folder? You can in this case, just open the built-in webserver (EWS) for your device and set the Profiler where create a new one with another folder.

The integrated Web server, you can easily access by entering the IP address of the Officejet in your browser (e.g. Safari). Then go to digital archiving and choose Scan to network folder. Here, you can modify existing profiles or add a new one.

If it is not the function you use, please provide the number of the exact product for your device and that Mac OS version you are using.

    Hello

Have you tried updating your software for the Mavericks?

If you run Apple Software Update provides with something new.

    Please try the following fix:

    http://support.Apple.com/kb/DL907?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

Under 'Add printers and Scanners', the device should appear with 'Fax' at the end of the model name.

    I hope this might help.

    Hello

I am not able to scan/print through HP officejet pro 8500 a909g 10.10.3 Mac.

I think because of no proper drivers, scanning/printing does not work.

    What should do?

    Hi @pan1490,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you cannot print or scan with your HP Officejet Pro 8500 a909g on Mac OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite to. And I'm happy to see it for you!

To verify that your printer hardware is functional, you are able to make copies of the scanner glass? Copy of a multi-page Original.

If you are able to copy, then I recommend to install this driver, HP v3.1 for OS X printer drivers, which is the only driver I know for this printer on Mac OS X 10.10.3 available. Please see this post, Re: iMac OS X 10.9.3 scan driver for HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 a A910a to iMac doesn't seem to be, by my colleague @Sunshyn2005. How to scan without HP on Mac software.
