A HP Elitebook 8570w fits on a 90W Docking Station A7e32AA?

Hello

I was wondering if it is possible to connect my Elitebook 8570w to an A7e32AA Docking Station. In the description on the HP website (http://h30094.www3.hp.com/product/sku/10432926-) it says that the 8570 p doesn't work on it.

And I read that the 8570p and 8570w have the same docking connector (spring of other available docking stations that work for both of these laptops).

Can someone confirm or deny this?

Kind regards

Senui

Hello

I'm sorry. If you want to only use 150W PSU for the docking station then no problem, but if you want to use 90W PSU for your machine (which needs 150W) 90W can't drive your machine as expected.

Kind regards.

  • 8570W: 8570W does not powerup on docking station.

I have a 8570W with an A7e36AA docking station. I used to work perfectly.

Recently, I don't know what changed, I can not power on the base and the notebook.

When press the power switch on the docking station, it lights up, and between 2 and 8 seconds, the system is off again. All lights are off.

If I powerup the 8570W when removed from the docking station it works well. When I put my notebook into sleep, put it in the docking station and it lights up, it all works.

Anyone an idea what is causing the combination not to powerup decently?

Replace the docking station. It was defective.

  • EliteBook 8570w: multiple monitors

The EliteBook 8570w on a 90w docking station can support 3 monitors?

    Hello

Verification of specifications the Elitebook only 8570w should be able to support 3 monitors. The Setup program may depend on the graphics card, with the fact that the system is currently configured.

With the 90w docking station you have it provides 3 separate outlets? (Example 1 DVI, 1 DisplayPort and 1 VGA port)

  • HP EliteBook 857w: docking station HP 90 w, supporting two monitors

I am currently working with an EliteBook 8570w on a 90w docking station.  I have an external monitor and the laptop lid open for a second, more small monitor.  I would plug a second external monitor and continue to use the laptop when the lid is open for e-mail.  I can't find a definitive answer on whether Yes or no this is possible and what is the best configuration to achieve the desired final result.  Right now, the external monitor is connected to the VGA port.  The second monitor has both DVI and VGA ports so I could continue the path with the cord or an adapter that would work best.  It is best to connect the second DVI or DisplayPort monitor on the docking station?  What installer, if necessary, would allow me to keep the 2 external screens and the open laptop monitor?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello

Thanks for joining the Forums today!

While using your monitor 8570w, when it is connected to a docking station (we tested this using an advanced docking station) there are two valid configurations for three independent displays. You can connect two additional monitors through DVI or only a monitor via DVI and the other through display port. It's using the advanced docking station.

If one of your VGA monitors should still work the same as above.

Here is a link to an image of an adapter, you can use to connect via display port: http://img.misco.eu/resources/images/products//100/HWP/FH/FH973AT/FH973AT_6_1600x1600.jpg

  • EliteBook 8570w goes into sleep mode

My (bought in may 2013) new HP Elitebook 8570W continues to go to sleep after a few minutes on Windows 7 Pro x 64 well power settings to be established NEVER sleep when it is connected to the power supply as it is. Why? I do not understand why... Never what happened to me before on other laptops or desktop computers.

It is difficult to say because you don't provide all the details of what is in the laptop.

From a troubleshooting perspective, I encourage you to not only upgrade the BIOS (has been updated several times early manufacturing) to all hardware drivers. The best tool to do this is Softpaq Download Manager (www.hp.com/go/sdm). Install it, let it run with the default settings and install BIOS separately ANY other update. Must be installed by itself. Then, after the reboot, re-run the SDM and install hardware drivers it shows need ONLY be updated. In addition, to add critical updates for Windows (7, 8, etc.) as this Softpaq is a compilation of patches Microsoft all rolled into one and include fixes to the problems in the operating system associated with USB, sleep, hibernate, etc.

    Hope this helps

  • HP Elitebook 8570W: driver problem: other devices - device base system and unknown device.

    Hi guys,.

After doing a clean update on my HP elitebook 8570W I had a few unknown devices in my device manager.

The first is a device called "base system" in PCI Slot 2 (bus PCI 36, device 0, function 1). I tried everything in my ability to determine what is this device and what drivers to install, so far without success.

In the same section. other devices, there is another unknown device on PCI Express Root complex that gives me the same headache.

I hope you guys can help me understand this.

If you need further information, I will be happy to provide that.

    Kind regards

    Didier

    Hello:

The base system device is certainly the JMicron card reader needs the driver, not the alcor one.

    You need this driver...

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/detail?sp4ts.Oid=5257503 & swItemId = ob_124666_1 & swEnvOid = 4158

If the driver above does not installing it automatically, try to install manually.

To manually install the driver, go to Device Manager, click the Base system device.

Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.   Select her browse my computer for driver software option and find the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the file.

The file is located in C:\SWSetup\sp63637

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and see the driver installs like that.

  • HP Elitebook 8570w

I bought my HP Elitebook 8570w in October 2013. When I bought it I noticed that the power connector has been vaguely connected to the Jack of the computer. Now, I noticed that the connection has been lost and the battery is charged either. This is why I'm not able to use my computer.

I have 3 years site service warranty and I have to wait to talk to HP Australia Monday to solve this problem. Is there someone else had the same problem and how did you solve it?

You have this connector always loose or closely connected?

I contacted the local HP Office and discussed the issue. They saw that there was a crack at the internal connection to the computer. Yesterday they cam and replaced the connector. I charge the battery perfectly now.

However, I see that it may fail again. The internal connector in full contact however the outside diameter of the connection does not provide sufficient support to the connection. The cable is heavy, where you move the cemputer from one place to another under the weight of the cable may fail again because the moment applied to the connection.

This should be resolved by HP by the connector in the socket with internal diameters within narrow tolerance of the insert diameter Cable male, so the bending moment could not be transferred to the internal connector.

  • Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6205 WLAN causing blue screen (BSOD) on Elitebook 8570w Win 7 SP1 64 bit

    Hello world

In recent months, I use a 8570w Elitebook.

I can't tell you when the problem started, but as soon as I unplug the notebook from the power supply and WLAN is enabled, I get a blue screen after a while. Sometimes, but not this oftehn, I encounter this problem even when the laptop is connected to the power and WLAN is enabled.

I could not determine when exactly this blue screen, but it's certainly the WLAN (Bluetooth is disabled in the BIOS for the moment). It happens most of the time when I'm under two or more virtual machines with VMWare Workstation (version 9.0.2).

The WIFI card is an Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6205. I tried several drivers (mid-2012 at the latest in April 2013) with a complete uninstall of the previous drivers. Without success. Operating system is Win 7 SP1 64 bit.

Google helped me a bit and I found an Intel forum where people are describing almost the same problem with these Intel WLAN modules.

Checked the Knowledge Base of HP and I am just find more messages do not deal with the new modules.

Should I consider replacing the WLAN (guarantee) card? Someone knows the same issue and was able to find a solution/workaround?

    All opinions are appreciated.

    Thank you
    Jerry

    Hello world

Finally, I have launched the Intel WLAN module and replaced by a Broadcom module (HP spare part number: 669832-001, Broadcom model: BCM943228HM4L) with the driver version: 6.30.223.228 (05.02.2014).

This solved my problem of blue screen. Intel (same as last) drivers do not work with the configuration I have on my Elitebook 8570w and I gave up to find an another software/driver associated solution. In recent weeks, I can run multiple virtual machines in VMWare (9.0.4) without problems.

Hope this information is of help to anyone who is struggeling with the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 WLAN module.

    Cheers, Jerry

  • EliteBook 8570w: laptop battery does not display a proper load

Hi, I had this Elitebook 8570w for about 3 months now and have taken excellent care of it (and the battery), but the battery is facing up.

This problem just started today. The indicated battery charge is not correct. It says it has, say, 70%, but stops because the battery is too low.

When I plug in and turn on the back, it displays the correct percentage, but as soon as I unplug it the percentage starts show wrong again.

I tried reinstalling the driver, but it has not solved the problem. Right, it is said it is 79%, but I know it should be about 20 to 40%.

    Any help?

  • HP elitebook 8570w: advise the hard drive upgrade

    Hello

Recently, my hard drive stopped with the work. I have a HP elitebook 8570w. The current hard drive that had a 7200 RPM. Now, I noticed my laptop starts heating fast enough. I was wondering what hard drive, I could choose to prevent this from happening so fast.

Should I choose a SSD driver?

They are faster than a HARD drive?
They produce less heat, less power?

Should I choose a hard disk of variable?
I read that they are mainly used for NAS servers, would also be a good choice for a laptop?

I am looking for a new drive hard and then I'm picking why take an upgrade.

I hope you can answer my question and may have a few speculative.

  • HP Elitebook 8570w: cannot access BIOS

    Hello Forums, support

I have problem with HP Client Security, same problem with this topic: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-Systems-and-Software/HP-Client-Security-Manager-Setu...

So this is the solution that I founded:

    -Uninstall HP Client Security Manager

    -restart

-remove all traces of HP customer Security Manager and HP Protecect tools manually in the Windows registry

    -restart

-Enter the BIOS, change BIOS admin password, resetting security to factory default settings

-decline the reset of the TPM at the boot prompt

-to reset the sensor of fingerprint print to the next boot prompt

    -Reinstall HP Client Security Manager

Everything he does! HP Client Security works well.

But a new problem: when I turn on my Elitebook 8570w, I do not see the HP logo just text "Press ESC for boot menu", and enter windows system. I press ESC or F10 but nothing happens.

All right before that I have uninstall HP Client Security and remove all traces of it in the windows registry.
