A7 shutter Question?

Not sure if there is something wrong with my A7 or I'm kinda an idiot today. When I turn the power off, the shutter closes and then after about four seconds, it opens again. As soon as the market again, it takes about five seconds to start, then all parameters have returned back to a previous set on the camera.

Any ideas?

The camera shutter does not release when the unit is off. Everything left of parameters before turning off the device should also be kept at startup. Please reset the camera by going to the MENU - [Setup] - [setting Reset] - [Initialize] and see if the problem will be solved.

  • Weird question shutter with t2i

    Hello!

I have a wonderful Canon EOS Rebel t2i, which I love to death. I bought used and have used during the last 6 months. Today, I took it out to take a photo and the shutter stuck! This occurs on the M & Av modes, but not on one of the other & automatic modes. I checked the mirror lockup, and this isn't.

    So basically, what happens is:

Camera focuses, I press to take the picture and makes it shutter it is his regular and close... and then does not open upward again. There is a red light flashing, the screen is black and after about 22 seconds, it re-opens and the photo is on presentation.

What is going on? How should I do? -What happened? I'm currently traveling and cannot take in diagnosis immediately.

    Thanks for the help!

f/11 to the VA with ISO 100 in this light condition will need 20 seconds.

  • The distortion of rolling shutter correction

Having bought just an a6300 of Sony, and especially making amateur videos to hand while traveling light (IE tripods, Gimbals etc out of the question), my first tests confirm that despite the use of a lens with optical image stabilization I have will fight the effects of distortion of rolling shutter on the set of 4 K, even more than in the past with the HD on my NEX5N.

While I found the FCP X built-in stabilization work very well, I never found the buit - in rolling shutter effective correction to eliminate the residues 'wobble', which sometimes is just too obvious after stabilization.

A year ago I tried to Core melt Lock & Load to see if I could improve some clips (admittedly very difficult) seals on the rocks, taken from a boat rocking but was not able to improve the built-in tools to do not buy.  However, it seems there have since been several important updates to Lock & Load, but now of course I can't try the latest version out without having to buy.

So, I want first of all to learn from the experiences of others to solve/minimize this problem.  Are there other plugins that people have found more effective than integrated?

    Geoff.

If Lock & Load cannot fix it, it can't be fixed.  There is a slight distortion which is beyond fixing.  You can use non-comparable and other shutter speeds when you pull.

  • shutter of Bluetooth on iOS 9.2 problem

After that I have upgraded to iOS 9.2, my bluetooth on selfie stick pane doesn't work anymore.

My other iPhone still on iOS 9.1 works very well.

It seems that iOS 9.2 has the bug or turn off the bluetooth pane.

    Anyone has the same problem?

    Thank you

I have a question where I have several buttons shutter blue tooth and neither one of them works on my iPhone 6 s.

The two shutter buttons still work on my iPhone 5 and has worked with IOS 9.1 and after upgrading to IOS 9.2.

If you encounter problems with an iPhone 6 s, I think that the back of the phone rather than the version of IOS.

Others have apparently Bluetooth problems with the new iPhone 6 s and the latest version of IOS (9.2) seems not to have fixed.

I hope that IOS 9.2.1 will address this, but I don't know if it's still on the list of points for this version Apple.

  • Question about an A500 Sony DSLR

I recently bought a used Sony A500 DSLR. With the three my lens and camera are in optical viewfinder mode. When you move the camera the lens focuses while you move. It is not my finger on the shutter button. The minute I put it in mode live view, it stops. Is this normal?

    Carl

Carl: What you describe is probably because the Eye-Start autofocus (AF) option is enabled in the device menu. This option uses the sensors of the eyepiece located just below the viewfinder. It is designed to automatically activate the viewfinder and start implementing autofocus as soon as you put your eyes up to her the viewfinder. If you hold the camera quite close to your body, however, the sensors of the eyepiece can be detect your body and causing the viewfinder and the AF to activate. Rotation of the Eye-Start AF in the menu will prevent this.

  • Can someone help me with two questions regarding my PowerShot SX540HS?

I'm generally pretty tech savy, but I'm having problems with two very basic functions on my PowerShot SX540HS.  I downloaded the complete operating manual and followed the instructions to the two questions, but I am unable to answer these questions after a lot of testing with the camera settings.

    1. is it possible to force the flash to the position, but keep any AUTO value? (I need an additional light on the African-American faces when shooting outdoors).  The manual States that there should be a setting IT for flash, but all I see is auto flash or disabled.  I don't see a setting IT allows me to force the flash fires.

    2. I need help with how to set up the camera to focus on how to features of landscapes in the background (such as a mountain range) instead of focus on something more about that appears in the frame, perhaps some leaves from a nearby tree.  When I tried testing the manual focus by following the instructions in the manual and set the focus to infinity, ISO camera settings went haywire and I got a completely overexposed photo.

I'd appreciate any help.  I thank you very much.

    Your welcome!

The brightness problem is your camera set to have the i-contrast on Auto? If this is not the case, try this to fix the bightness of images that you have taken or will take.

You can of course put the ISO and shutter speed manually too in P mode for pictures where I contrast does not work well for you.

P mode is basically the Auto mode, but it allows you to make changes where you want.

  • How can I change the shutter speed on my Sony a37?

While I'm on the Auto program my shutter speed is not the right number I want to. I do not know how to change it and wonder what to do?

In program auto mode, the camera automatically determines the combination of speed and the appropriate scene shutter opening. If you want to use a specific shutter speed, it would be best to take pictures in the priority shutter (S) Mode. Please set your mode dial on S and then spin the front dial to adjust the shutter speed.

  • Question of Live View EOS 70 d

    Hello

I just bought a 70 d EOS.  My question relates using Live View under "auto".  I understand that touch the display screen directly causes the camera to focus about to contact, and that's exactly what's happening on my camera.  However, I also noticed that exposure changes as well.  For example, if I touch a subject dark opening or time will change to allow for more light and vice versa if I touch a light object.

I don't see any reference to this in the manual.  This is a very good feature, but I'd be curious to know where this feature is described in the manual, if anyone knows.

    Thank you

D 70 has an iFCL 63-zone metering system. In other words, the area of the image you see in the viewfinder is divided into 63 different areas which are measured individually, with the collected info better interpreted the system and then used to get to what the camera "think" is a correct exposure.

When in 'Auto', it probably uses so-called evaluative method. This method places more emphasis on the area immediately around the active AF point. It's kind of like one-off measure related to the focus area turns, but evaluative measure also considers the rest of the area of the image in its calculations.

You probably also Simulation exhibition enabled (in fact it is not possible to turn it off using a fully automatic mode).

If you were using a rather 'creatives' (as Canon calls) auto exposure modes, you would have more flexibility in the setting of the camera upwards. For example, you can choose a different method of counting (weighted Central don't react just like evaluative, simply examines the entire image area, with slightly more emphasis on the central part of the image, but without link to special AF point), or you could dial in some more or less using Exposure Compensation adjustment. AV, Tv and P is the automatic exposure modes 'creative '. AV means "Aperture priority" and is where you choose the opening and automation of the camera selects an appropriate shutter speed to match. TV stands for "Shutter priority", where you choose a shutter speed and the camera rule opening automatically. P is "programming mode", where the device regulates the opening and priority. (Note: in three modes, you would have chosen and ISO, first.)

You could also disable Simulation exhibition, if you wish. Then the visible image on the LCD screen of the camera varies in the same way.

However, I really do not pretend that you do not use evaluative measurement or Simulation of exposure. They are both valuable tools at your disposal. I suggest that you learn to use them to your advantage. Also become familiar with the camera's three other methods of counting (Center weighted, partial and Spot).

Evaluative measure doesn't do a good job in a variety of situations. I suggest you learn to use it.

First, try to think about the world in shades of gray, rather than colors. Like all the reflective metering systems, it was designed to produce a "neutral gray" and is influenced by the tone of the subject. For example, if you are shooting a black bear in a coal mine, the camera tries it overexposing. Or, if you are shooting a polar bear in a snow storm, the camera will try to underexpose it. In both cases, the metering system is still trying to be out "neutral grey". He can't think... to do the thinking and to recognize the situations where it will be shifted, skip it and make the appropriate adjustments.

Simulation of exposure can help warn you of the top and bottom of the trends of the exhibition. You can also read your images and inspect the histogram, see if you over or underexposure issues, so that you can always re - draw the image if necessary.

Note: more of what the camera offers there are other types of meters that work differently. For example, measure frequency measures the light falling on the subject, rather than what is reflected off of him (such as reflective metering). Used right, it can make for a more precise dosage. However, there is simply no practical way to build a frequency counter in a camera and use it for automatic exposure control. Frequency counters are for the most part separated, handheld and many of them are also able to measure with precision the flash and strobe lighting.

It seems to me that if your device works just like it should. It's just a matter to become familiar with it and learn to use it.

In addition to the manual that came with the camera, there are guides available that can be very useful and complete the manual. I suggest you to check what guides are out for 70 days. Whenever I have started working with a new model of camera I always buy one or two of the guides, as a shortcut to get up to speed using the camera. From personal experience, I can recommend guides by Charlotte Lowrie, Michael Guncheon and David Busch. If you are looking for 70 "d" on Amazon in the books, I'm sure you will find guides by one or several of these authors and probably a few other very good (some authors a few I know).

If you are really new to photography, I also highly recommend getting a copy of "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson. It can also be very useful, and is more of a preview of the works the cameras in general. I think it should be mandatory reading for all new photographers, or at least for all those who want to move beyond the skill level of point-n-shoot.

  • In video mode shutter speeds

I just read that the T3i can autofocus in video mode, true?

On T5i shutter speed is adjustable during the video?  Sometimes I need fast shutter for objects moving quickly are not blurred.

    Hi erokc!

    Thank you for posting.

The EOS Rebel T3i can autofocus, but it works the same when shooting still images.  You need to activate the focus automatically every time you want the camera to focus the lens and before you start recording.  Continuous autofocus is not possible.

When you're shooting in manual on the EOS Rebel T5i, the shutter speed, the aperture and ISO can be set manually.

  • When you use AI Servo and shutter continues - exposure can change?

When capturing a sequence, as a receiver running a 50 back yard, if you capture everything with only one press and hold the shutter button - does any parameter/function that will cause exposure to change during the sequence.

Like, suppose that you pull the short player of tunnel in the Sun and you're shooting shutter continuous - NOT - is there a way to get the camera to follow exposure in a manner similar to AF tracking?  (Other than your finger on the shutter to lift button?)  And following this thought, if you do not use BBF, if you come back to push down, AF would continue and given exposure to zero?

The last (for now): on cameras upscale, you can set the FPS at less than its maximum speed?  As on the MKII 7 d, you have to shoot 10 or can limit you to 5 frames per second?

    Thank you.

    PajamaGuy wrote:

Thank you... and Yes, but my question is since the exposure is calculated when the shutter is completely down, if you hold the button down to let's say 15 exhibitions (3 seconds to 5 fps), made the change of exposure when (i.e.) exhibition #1 is a heavy shadow and #10 is the light of the Sun?  Or, you have to lift and to re - press shutter to update of the exhibition?

As long as you are in AIServo the exhibition is continually updated. (unless you press the exposure lock button).

This article explains hjow to lock exposure as you think the camera does all the time.

Canon DLC: Using automatic exposure (AE) lock

To not lock exposure, just can't do the things described in the article.

  • Shutter speed too slow AV mode for sunrise timelapse (low light)

    Hi all!

First, I'm a bit embarressed to ask this question because I am sure that its entry level but stuff I posted in several other forums to establish what is the problem im trying and I now reduced to a simple question... I think so..

I'm trying to shoot a timelapse of the sunrise. At dawn when the unit is in AV mode, due to the low light it seems be frezzing up when I go to take a picture. I realize now its not freeze until his tusing simply a shutter speed to compensate for the lack of light.

The problem is, I see a lot of tutorials of timelapse of Sunrise, and they all recommend using AV mode because of the changing light conditions.  (I had to use manual mode with a small opening in the end and to halfway through once the Sun rose my photos were all horribly over exposed)

How can I combat the problem of low light in order to use my camera in AV mode for photos with 4 second intervals?

At the moment I can't use it at dawn because the shutter speed slows down so that it does not make a timelapse.

Any comments would be massivly appriecated.

    Thank you!

    OK, let's go.

AV and Tv are really semi-manuel exposure modes.  You are setting the aperture or the shutter and waiting for the camera to select the oppisite.  If you have selected an Av which requires a shutter speed too long to take the correct exposure, you will get very long shutter.

You can up the ISO, or select a larger BC.

Good, please excuse my ignorance... guys xD

I just bought two s BlackBerry Curve 8530 from Sprint. I'm pretty tech savvy, but there are some things about this phone, I can just enter in two or three days I got em:

Deleting photos: Well, then I'm in my media folder, in the images. I selects a photo and press the BlackBerry button and select Delete. Then he said: it is read-only, and when I remove it, the icon is still there. I tried to turn on/off the device, and it's still there. Thought this one myself. I plugged it up to the Desktop Manager and all of a sudden all the photos I had taken appeared. I was also able to delete using the "BlackBerry" button and then "delete". It doesn't give me that read this option.

Saving images: So, for some reason I can't save more photos. I don't know even how I saved the first 12 photos I have taken... but now it won't save any more. What the hell happened? xD I have a 2GB card in my phone... surely these 12 images didn't fill in this card... Thought this one myself. I plugged it up to the Desktop Manager and all of a sudden all the photos I had taken appeared.

Buy ringtones: On my old phone LG, I used to buy ringtones RealTone Jukebox... where they had extracted from songs that I could download for a crazyhigh. Where can I buy the real music ringtones for BlackBerry? What I do myself?

Media moving to my PC?: I went through the music store of Sprint comes with my camera, and two purchased songs. I want to know if I can get these songs out of my BlackBerry smart phone and my PC. Also, if anyone knows what format they are in (if they bought before Sprint music store).

To buy another memory card: Where the best place to buy one of these mini memory cards? One of my friends like, a 24 a concert... and I currently have a 2 gig (who, I should mention, is more fricken memory I have in the computer I do not write about this time xD) how can I find out if the card is compatible with my camera?

There may be an icon on the home screen of your camera to buy ringtones. Or you can open the browser and go to http://mobile.blackberry.com. There is a link of ringtones that you can click

It is recommended to buy a microSD card to store your multimedia files, if you run out of memory on your device.

Depending on what OS is your BlackBerry tells you what size you can buy a microSD card. You can check under Options | Topic (will appear as v4.xx.xxx). Look at the table on the following link to see what size you can get - http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB05461

On the BlackBerry, go to Options | Media Media Card recommended parameters are:

    Media card support: WE

    Encryption mode: NO

    Mass storage support: WE

Auto enable mass storage Mode when connected: YES

Mass storage mode allows your BlackBerry to act as an extra drive when it is connected to your PC. It will appear as an extra drive letter in Windows Explorer. So you can just drag/release the multimedia files on your memory card

Overclocking is no way, the system will be slower than an overclocked system, but there is nothing to do about it. But it does not affect the GPU acceleration. The reason of not not two drives raid0 is:

    1. it doubles the risk of losing all the data.

    2. it is not faster than two separate disks, if it is properly implemented.
