A9J40B: New printer: HP Envy 5530 transport Jam/Paper Jam

I just purchased and received this printer. After the installation of the configuration and installation of the printer, he tried to print a report, but it will never work.
He guard sends me errors and says that there is a blockage of the cart. I looked inside everywhere but this is a new printer and it seems perfectly clean. Its power to seize a white paper and then spits white. It keeps eating all the paper and sometimes give an error. I can continue or clean all that I want, nothing seems to help the problem. I tried the wizzard but he said all right and I need to print a status report, but I can't.

I really hope I will get this problem solved, because this is a new printer.

    I don't know why you use Ctrl + P and how you connect your printer. Please try to install the software folloaing on a Dell computer (what operating system?):

    There is now a loan like 5530 in front of me and I was testing it on my machines at home: some Dell, some HP, a Lenovo, a Surface RT, (HP & Samsung) Android and iOS. No problems so far. I will test Windows phone sometimes with version beta.

    I just bought this printer. I'm trying to install it. I'm stuck after installing cartridges. The display shows 'transport Jam. The printer carriage cannot move... "I see no visible obstacles. I have taken the cartridges out and reinstalled several times. I unplugged and plugged the power cord several times for different durations. I'm about to make it. Help, please!

    My son came home and fixed my problem. I had to start him early, and he's got to work. Thanks for your help.

  • Msg 'offline' printer HP Envy 5530

    Have had printing problems - for most, but not only pdf's - since I received and installed this printer (using Windows 8.1) a few months ago. (Had TO get a new printer because Windows 8 would not accept/recognize/load my printer 3 years.) But I digress...) I uninstalled and reinstalled this printer times more than I can count. I mostly struggled with the pdf files - when I click on the printer icon to print, I get a "message does not not then have to click several times to get the print box to come."  When I get the print area, it will only print ONE page at a time.  If I select several pages to print, print only the parts of a page.  After having done that for the moment the relentless, I finally get the message "printer offline" - but numbers rather than the word "" printer.  Now, I'm even not that - NO message, NO communication from the laptop to the printer. I followed the video and made sure that none of these items have been checked, installed HP scan doctor and ran and now NOTHING.  I just did a test page from MS Word and printed it without problem, it seems that the problem at the moment is PDF.  It's just absolutely miserable.  This is a new printer and I can't afford to buy a NEW new, but maybe I need to because I got to a point of pitching the door! No one can solve this problem? Thank you!!

    Wellllllllllllllllllll... I did some research here on the site of HP and concluded that by doing this:

    In Adobe Reader, click file > print.

    Click Advanced.

    Check the print as Image option

    I print on a range of pages as I type this!   How I found this solution BEFORE I posted my rants, I don't know... guess I took too much in the frustration of it all... THANKS again for being here! Hope that I won't be back anytime soon!  :-)

  • HP 5530 Envy: Envy 5530 load sticker paper

    I bought the Cricut Explorer and I am trying to use the function 'print then cut.  My HP printer will not load Cricut printable sticker paper.  I use matte brochure paper type and quality.  It starts to load, then crashes and gives me an error message of paper jam.  I'm surprised because this printer has been cited as the top 2 best for this Cricut machine!  It is fairly new and not widely used, so that the rollers should not be a problem either.

    The problem you are having with the 5530 desire, could be caused by 2 reasons:

    1. Incorrect paper settings
    2. Not taken media type supported by the printer

    Most likely, the problem can be solved by using the correct paper settings when printing. Try the following steps:

    • Click Start - printers & faxes - give a right click on the 5530 like and choose Printing Preferences.
    • Select the paper settings correct according to the type of paper you are using. Paper size and paper type should be mentioned properly.
    • Then try opening the page you are trying to print and even once, make sure that the correct paper settings are selected before printing.
    • You can visit http://hp.care/2c0qNsR and also http://hp.care/2c0qka8 for more detailed information in the selection of correct paper settings.

    If the step above does not resolve the problem, then it might be largely because the matte Brochure paper type you are using is not supported by the printer.
    Note: It may be possible that you use a Laser Matte paper, in this case, make sure that you use paper ink-jet itself.

  • Cannot scan with the new printer HP Envy 5660 using Mac running iOS 10.10 Yosemite

    You just bought a new HP Envy of 5660.  Has been guaranteed by the sales staff, it was totally compatible with Mac Yosemite.  It is not the case.  The CD supplied with the printer software is not functional with Yosemite.

    I did research online and you have the printer to print wireless, printing from my iPhone and copy.  Not sure how I did TI-trial and error and 2 hours of time!

    I can't scan.  HP Web site says that their software must be installed, etc, etc, and then use the HP utility function.   Can't do because the CD is not compatible.

    Any suggestions?  I don't want really worries the printer back to Amazon.  I called HP and they said I can't talk to their Tech Department., but that's all.  Appreciate any help.  I'm not a true geek.

    Unfortunately no, you can not reuse/recyle it. In my opinion, after several months (6 or 12 months with no activity) you may be able to re - use.

    I just finished setting to the top of my new printer HP Envy 5530.  Well, everything seems to work, including printing, except for one thing.  When I try to print an e-mail (gmail or hotmail), it print only part of the page.  In the Print Setup window, I know in advance that this will happen because I see what its about to print.  Else I feel is quite fine and the preview window also shows correct alignment.  My printer is connected to the wall.  I did the alignment of the printer twice without any problem.  Any suggestions?

    I see that you have problems printing emails. I'd love to help you.

    Fix permissions of the drive on the Mac:

    Close all applications.

    In the Apple menu, click OK, click Applications, and then click utilities.

    Double-click disk utility.

    Highlight your hard drive / partition on the left.

    Click on check and then repair disk permissions.

    Restart the computer...

    Reset the printing system:

    Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer deleted can be re-added later by clicking the sign plus (+) symbol.

    Click on the Apple icon and then click on System Preferences.

    Click on Printers & Scanners.

    Make a right click (or Ctrl + click) in the left white side panel, and then click Reset printing system.

    Click OK to confirm the reset.

    Type the name and the correct password.

    Click OK to reset the printing system.

    Then click on the sign to add the driver, highlight the printer +. (you may need to click the drop down menu to select the name of the printer) Then click the Add button.

    Try a different browser to see if you have the same results.

    Just buy new printer HP Envy 5530. Provided with the printer ink cartridges are HP 301 black & TriCol in sealed bags.

    Have removed all the Ribbon, inserted cartridges properly and loaded paper.

    Get error message - cartridges are incompatible with the printer.

    Any ideas?

    When I upgraded to Windows 10 I lost my icon and the ability to scan from my HP computer on my printer HP Envy 5530 wireless. I'm unable to scan from Windows Fax and Scan.     I tested the feature. I have two HP printers and both work with my laptop. I can finally print with my office on my printer HP Envy 4500 (many uninstalls and reinstalls the software.)

    I used the wizard install HP for Windows, but my success was when I found the original installation disc.

    I use McAfee and have disabled and enabled it to the left. I ran doctor Scan and print and it on Rota software I had and "installed a later version" that has not worked. I have therefore re-installed using my original installation disc.

    My basic problem was that I could not scan. I can print but the HP 4500 Printer Wizard Envy series using I get that 'the envy of HP 4500 series is not found'. I tried to unplug the router and switch on the computer and the printer.

    I installed an HP AiO Printer Remote App and I can print it from there, and I AM ABLE to SCAN now with this app.
