  I spent the day looking for drivers and located all drivers I need. Has taken some time and some trial and error and ended them. Those available on the Acer download section all failed for my model.

  I had to change the BIOS to Legacy to prevent the Windows 7 hang during installation. I bought a copy of Win 7 and finally had the chance to use it.

  The BIOS has been locked - should understand this and managed to unlock and turn off the TMP. Then I was good to go.

  Rinse the operating system (goodbye to Windows 10 / / I spent the weekend with Win 10 for the 1st time and I doubt I'll ever go back) and managed to make the appearance and the way that I need for my development environment. Work more QUICKLY and efficiently.

  I bought 4 of these laptops and will now serve Win 10 and install a copy of Windows 7. Win 7 what now for a great price...

  I have read some of the messages in the form and figured out how to locate all the drivers and did!

  This one is SOLVED! If you are looking to switch back to WIn 7 - it is not difficult!

  My friend has an Acer Aspire M1640 running Vista Home Edition. In the Manager of devices under network adapters, there are four errors "all starting with Microsoft 6to4 adapt."   The only drivers available for the e1-510 are windows 8 and 8.1.   Acer will get drivers for windows 10 as well as software updates as acer care center (which as of now will not install saying not supported)?  Thank you

  the E1-510 model will rely on Acer on the update of windows 10.

  Windows 10 will update automatically the drivers with a new version if it is available, so you don't need to wait for the Acer drivers.

  Its been almost a year now. I love my computer. I have upgraded to Windows 10 with no probliems. Then, a few months later (now), my graphic drivers stopped working. I thought that the problem was easy to fix, because I don't update my drivers, never. So I upgraded the. I thought that my problems have been solved, but after a week, it has stopped working... once again. I downloaded the latest drivers again. Fast forward to today. Its been about 4 days. I was happy. Then, my applications started by saying that my drivers are incompatible for this product. Getting upset, I sent it to HP. Help, please. Are all I really need the drivers that meet in fact to my PC and last significantly longer than the drivers that I already had.

  My immediate response to your comment isn't that driver are bad, but they are updated more frequently. This is probably due to changes in the environment Windows 10. When I look at the support for your computer page, it displays multiple drivers for each graphics card options, and most have been updated in the last 4 days.

  You may find it useful to use the HP Support Assistant, to search for updates for you and a bit to automate the process or you know there are updates available.

  installed new xp (sp2) on the acer 5100. not found drivers on the acer site. all works except a broadcom wireless adapter. no shows in the wireless network connections. I tried several versions of the driver. no work. any suggestion is welcome. Device Mgr shows yellow? for the other devices/network controller.  Thank you

  Thank you all for your helpful suggestions. my computer is an acer aspire 5100. I went to the acer driver download page for my specific model and the os. as well as drivers for xp 32 bit, I have used, there are 32-bit drivers for vista and mce. so I downloaded the drivers for each wireless. tried the flavor of the mce. It worked. Wireless works fine.

  I am tempted to cancel the installation of the driver and to return to the previous state to see delicate suggestion might work, but I don't want.
  bonus of... looking around Intel 5100 acer, I found a lot of people have complained on their machines to overheat. mine has that too. a suggestion is to remove the back cover and check for dust accumulation. I found coverage quarter inch of dust completely blocks the air outlet. Easy fix. no more overheating.

  I had my computer Acer Aspire E1-572 some time in 2014 and it was very good for my use in photo retouching and such, it can be a little slow at times but otherwise works relatively well. It is a model with intel i7, so I really had high expectations for it, but recently it has me pushed beyond edge of frustration. The internet is catastrophic.

  First, I should probably point out that I'm absolutely useless when it comes to computer jargon. I did my research, read works around the problem but have not yet found anything that solved my problem with certainty or was possible for me to understand, and still less to make. I am nowadays primarily a mac user and windows 8.1 is my idea of a nightmare. However, I like to use the Acer now and then, more recently, I can't really leave this issue continue, otherwise, I'm sitting here with an expensive computer that is really more hassle that it is worth.

  My Internet home works well for other devices and it is not a problem that Acer does not have wi - fi, it is, nice and clear, but untilising it is almost impossible. 3/5 bars of internet so I expect at least some kind of feedback from her. It will sort of blow along some time, then load, then work stoppage or just simply load at all. For this, many people model seems to go configuring power management settings, I did and there was maybe a bit small (?) improvement but I wasn't definitely jumping for joy. The internet is still a step forward, two steps back. All the other advice just went straight over my head, it means nothing to me.

  It is difficult to recall that it was never my computer "navigation", but I don't think when I got it, I don't have this problem. He could not have won races of speed, but this actually worked. I was wondering if maybe the 8 to 8.1 windows update had thrown a key in the works, but this is speculation on my part.

They are as follows (all drivers related questions I guess, no driver in Windows update or on Acer site):

  1 - memory card reader does not work and does not appear in the Explorer. Device manager shows 3 x peripheral problem which are the memory card reader. Which brand is?

  2 - WIFI does not work (says network adapter), have not yet tried to download and install the drivers from the website of Atheros, will try this next time I visit him. Poster 1 x peripheral problem device manager which I guess is the WIFI because the machine can access internet through wired adapter.

  3 - display is fixed (cannot be changed) at a resolution of 1024 x 768 and it can do better, but can not be changed. Downloaded and installed Catalys control center, but this has changed a lot and I do not see anywhere to change the resolution from there. Only several screens etc.

  4 - adapter displays in the Device Manager to 200M and it should be Ati Radeon Xpress 1100?

  I upgraded to Windows 10 and I have a dell monitor and a G185H Acer monitor model. My Dell monitor displays fine on the operating system but my Acer just says no: "no signal".   When you are on the drivers and the manual page and you select your system it should be something that says this: show the operating system and my equipment so I can choose the right drivers. If you click on that it will tell you what hardware and operating system you have so that you know what drivers to download for your system.

  Recently, I get a blue screen message whenever I start my Vista Toshiba laptop. I think that the hexadecimal number is 7F with a bunch of 0, but it certainly has a 7 followed by a letter. When you use boot logging, a dozen drivers who appear to be associated with Toshiba or an AMD processor seem to be does not. So, I tried the BIOS update. Most of them disappeared accept the following:

  Did not load driver \SystemRoot\system32\drivers\parport.sys
  Did not load driver \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\kbdhid.sys
  Did not load driver \SystemRoot\System32\Drivers\NDProxy.SYS

  Could someone tell me if any of them would cause a problem or anyone could suggest as what to do to fix my blue screen of death problem?

  • 0x00000005, or limits check fault, indicates that the processor, then executing a BOUND instruction, determines that the operand exceeds the specified limits. A BOUND instruction ensures that a signed array index is within a certain range.
  • 0 x 00000006 or Opcode not valid, indicates that the processor attempts to execute an invalid instruction. This error occurs generally when the instruction pointer is corrupted and point to the wrong address. The most common cause of this error is hardware memory corruption.
  • 0x00000008 or Double fault, indicates that an exception occurs during a call to the previous exception handler. In general, two exceptions are handled in series. However, there are several exceptions that cannot be handled serially, and in this case, the processor signals a double fault. There are two common causes of a double fault

  Cause

  0x7F bug check occurs after the installation of a faulty or incompatible hardware (including memory) or if installed hardware fails.

  A double fault can occur when the kernel stack overflows. This overflow occurs if multiple drivers are attached to the same battery. For example, if two file system filter drivers are associated to the same stack and then again the recursively of file system, the capacity of the battery.

  Solve the problem

  Troubleshooting: If you have recently added the material to the computer, remove to see if the error recurs. If the hardware failure existing, remove or replace the faulty component.   Also to restart your computer and press F8 to character-based menu that displays the choice of operating system. In the menu of Advanced Options , select the last known good Configuration option. This option is most effective when you add a single driver or service at a time.

  Overclocking (setting of the CPU to run at a speed higher than the nominal specification) can cause this error. If you have overclocked to the computer that is experiencing the error, return the CPU to default clock speed setting.

  Check the system log in Event Viewer for additional error messages that might help identify the device or driver that generated the error. You can also disable caching memory BIOS to try to resolve the problem.

  If you have encountered this error during the upgrade to a new version of the Windows operating system, the error can be caused by a device driver, system service, an anti-virus or a backup tool that is not compatible with the new version. If possible, remove all third-party device drivers and system services and disable all antivirus before upgrade you. Contact the software manufacturer for updates of these tools. Also, make sure that you have installed the latest Windows Service Pack.

  Finally, if all of the steps above do not resolve the error, take the system motherboard to a repair for the diagnostic facility. A crack, a scratched trace, or a defective component on the motherboard can also cause this error.
