Active Sync is not detecing of USB connection

I have a treo 700wx

Windows xp pro - SP3

Windows mobile 5.0 operating system

active sync 4.5

Never had a problem with active sync - now when I try to connect I get a message that Active Sync cannot connect to the device windows mobile powered. A scan is done and I am led to a screen that says a number of things, including:

to disconnect/reconnect

to connect to a different usb port

Remove/install active sync

I did all the people. Is it possible that I need a new usb cable? are there other things I can try?

WirelessSync is the email client that Verizon provides with the device. If it is set it blocking ActiveSync to work. It is one of the applications under programs on the device.

The device must be detected in Device Manager. Button Start/Control Panel/System/Hardware tab/Device Manager. When you connect and disconnect the device from the list of devices should "blink".

    I used two different connections: one is a 2.5 "SATA case disc that I used with a disk 2.5" HARD and works very well with the HARD drive and the other is SATA/IDE connector combination with cables for SATA and power and none of these works.  I read in another forum during my research that the Aspire One d255 doesn't recognize any external SSD connected through a USB either.  Since my netbook has no data, and I had just a pure 10 Windows installed on his drive HARD internal, I removed the 160 GB HARD drive and replaced by a 120 GB SSD and installed another Windows own 10.  It worked and my system boots now in less than 20 seconds.   We can close this thread now since I now have a faster machine fully function.  Thank you!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not get a USB connection

    I have a BB 8330, that my computer was able to detect in the past, but can't now. The computer is a HP EliteBook 6930p running Windows XP Service Pack 2. For what it's worth, I'm using a USB cable, but the BB is drawn from the current through it, so I think the connection is made.

    and ran into a problem. Task 3 calls to the update of the USB driver. I opened the Device Manager. There was no 'unknown device' or 'other devices '. I finally found the file RimUsb.sys in C:\Program Files Research In Motion\USB drivers, but the system does not seem to detect it.  I even copied in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers and rebooted, but it made no difference.

    What should I try next?

    I just tried another USB cable and it works. Must be a problem with my cable.

    This can happen due to connection of USB oprior the installation of the software.

    In the devices Panel and printers, right-click on any instance of your printer and select remove device.

    Allow it a moment, if nothing happening try removing and reconnecting the USB after the specified screen.

    If you have already stopped the installation, don't forget to remove any existing printer device and unplug the USB, then follow the installation once more and connect it only when necessary.

    If it persists, click the background area of devices and printers and select Device Manager, is there any icon marked in different categories?

  • DreamColor LP2480zx does not recognize the USB for calibration

    I have a DreamColor LP2480zx, which does not recognize the USB connection to the computer during calibration.  I have my eye HP connected through this monitor, so I know the connection and the cable is good and mouse, keyboard.  My setup is like this:

    Reference Dell 690 running 64 bit + Windows XP

    DreamColor LP2480zx

    Apple Cinema Display 23 "

    I bought the DreamColor used, and in all other respects, it seems to work very well.  The original owner didn't have it calibrated within a certain time, but said that having had no problem with the previous calibration.  I installed the last APS (version 2.0) and updated to the latest firmware.  These updates produces no change in recognition USB problem.

    The interesting thing is, I was able to calibrate the Apple Cinema Display, using the same configuration of connection (mouse, keyboard, and HP eye connected to the computer via the LP2480zx) APS was able to see the USB connection and this very well calibrated monitor.

    I had trouble with this problem for a few days.  I've looked around quite a bit online and found a few others who have this same problem, but I did not yet find someone who can point out a solution.  If anyone has had this same problem, or has heard of results that correct it, please let me know, because it's very frustrating.

    An update to my previous post, I realized a work around for this problem.

    Apparently, this problem has to do with the Dreamcolor screen and/or software APS do not like working with 64 bit systems.  I'm not saying that it is always the case, but I saw the other posts on this problem on 64-bit systems, and I spoke with two other people personally who told me that they also had the same problem, try to calibrate its Dreamcolor monitor when it was attached to a 64-bit system.  HP does not seem to be concerned about this problem, because they do not even recognize its existence, but since I'm far from being the first to report this problem, he's obviously not a one-time problem.

    My solution was this: I had connect the monitor to a regular running XP 32 bit system.  After I did, I could re - calibrate the monitor without the problem of USB connection.  This isn't a very good solution because not everyone has access to several machines, running different operating systems.  But it's a work around, and it worked for me.

    Hope this helps other people who have this same problem with their Dreamcolor monitors hooked to their 64-bit systems.

    PS- I posted this as resolved, only because I was able to calibrate my monitor.  It's not really solved the problem, but it gets the monitor working again.  Maybe HP will address this problem in the future, but I'm not holding my breath.

    I have Vista Home Premium 32 bit and when I install my HP J4680C it does not recognize the USB connection... I can make copies with my printer, but that is where it stops.

    Printer print when I use a utility to test...

    1. Installed and reinstalled the printer with the original CD software
    2. Installed the s/w printer using the new HP file
    3. I used 2 HP utility without result.
    4. Used many USB cables and still it will not be printed

    My other PC (Acer) will print and no problem.

    I don't get any error codes.

    Method 1:

    Connect the HTC Fuze to the computer, and then run the fixit and see if that makes a difference.

There have been a few times when the camcorder has acknowledged the connection of the camcorder (most recently on June 12) - but this does not occur at thie time. If I take the memory card 16 GB additional of the camcorder and connect it to the connection of memory card, the computer has always recognized it.

    My problem is trying to get the video from the cameras internal memory via the USB connection.

    I think if/when can I get these loaded files, I have the intention of is no longer using the internal memory of the camera and always use the extra memory card.

    Follow the steps below to load the driver for Win 7.

    1. open devices and printer

    2. click on add a printer

    3. replace the USB port and then click Next

    4. click on Windows Update (step 1)

    5. once the update is complete, you will need to select the PSC 750xi driver in the list on the right (step 2)

    My daughter has a bed that connects to an MP3 player via a USB connection and speakers and play controls on it. SanDisk Sansa clip plus is not working, looks like he's trying to connect to a computer to receive information.     A bed that connects to an Mp3 player? Cool!.  The Clip + has two modes, the MTP and MSC mode (settings > system settings > USB). If you transfer files under the PSG, the songs will not appear on the computer when you connect in MSC mode and vice versa. Most likely your bed does not recognize MTP peripheral devices. That being said, try transferring music on both msc and mtp and do a test. Try to connect the Sansa to your bed under MSC and MTP.

    This problem normally occurs when the radio does not support a specific file format. If you are able to play the songs to another computer, I you suggest to use third party software to convert .mp3 files and then check with the question.
