AD SSO with Server 2008

Hello

I have windows 2008 server running with NAC 4.7.2 but all users running xp AD SSO is possible or not because according to Cisco, vista must be installed.

"You need to use Windows Server 2008 machines with KTPass version 6.0.6001.18000 client must be running Windows Vista with Cisco NAC Agent version 4.7.1.15 installed, to ensure that you are able to maintain the standard FIPS 140-2 compliance and support AD SSO.

Y at - it a workaroun?

Nameair,

Workaround: forget KTPASS exists!

Check your settings by this link and ensure that accounts are displayed correctly, as they do in AD:

  • Problems with Server 2008 R2 Kerberos with Mac and CentOS machines? Need to re - join domain

We are having a problem with our Mac and Linux / CentOS machines constantly having to be re-attached to our AD domain.
We are able to join machines to the domain successfully, but after a few weeks or if authentication is broken and we again join them to the domain.
I see Security event logs on our domain controller when kerberos authentication fails.
On the linux server - I see this message in the logs

I'm guessing this has to do with Server 2008 R2 and incompatible mac / linux versions.

  • Manager of customization with Server 2008?

Does anyone know if the specification of customization Manager will work with Server 2008 model?

When I create a new set of specifications through the wizard, there is no option to choose anything other than "windows" or "Linux".  The section below these options makes reference to a custom sysprep answer file that let me hear XP/2000/2003. Bascially Microsoft has deleted with Sysprep in 2008 (you can run a very simple, no custom version to change the SID and do an OOBE) or create an XML part that is personalized through Windows AIK. So I am wondering if it is supposed to be for 2008 too? I have a feeling that it is not. How do others are 2008 deployment models?

It's the same as it was never really.  The only difference is that now you don't have to have the sysprep files copied in prior vCenter.  I have specificaitons of customization for 32-bit and 64-bit 2008 and 2008 R2.  Everything works fine.

    Good luck!

  • Is it possible - installation of a virtual machine with Server 2008 on a disc and use the other drive for storage

I have a Dell power edge server with 2 Configuration of disks 1 TB in raid 0

I can install a Win Server 2008 R2 and SQL 2008 R2 on a VD without problem, but I do not see the other disk of TB in option within Windows Server to be used as storage SQL only.

How can I get the two disks to appear in Windows server?

    what I want is:

First Dell 1 TB drive VD = Server 2008R2 and SQL on C:\

Second VD Dell 1 TB drive = D:\ like disk storage

do I have to configure the Dell VD another way or is it possible

    Thank you

You basically configure the virtual machine that you want on all the available storage (do not forget to keep free space, for example snapshots). -As I understand it - is so that ESXi does not see the storage! This is often caused by the RAID controllers not taken in charge or the RAID issues. Please check if the RAID controller is supported as well as the configuration. BTW. Why do you want to configure RAID0? If you want to create two virtual disks on warehouses of separate data anyway, simply present to ESXI as two separate disks/volumes.

OK, for the windows 2008, try to install the DNS service (Add Server Manager roles) in there... (you cannot point the others it as DNS if it does not act as DNS)

also in it the IP configuration, set as follows:

    IP 10.1.1.31

    Subnet 255.255.255.0

    Gateway 10.1.1.1

    Primary DNS 10.1.1.31

203.x.x.35 secondary DNS (you can also add the 203.x.x.36)

Do the same for your guests to WIndows 7.

Make sure all are workers and they can ping each other...

If everything is OK, you should have internet on them...

  • Viewing JPG and GIF files crashes the server (Windows Server 2008)

I work in an office with windows server 2008 and we are having a problem where the right click images and choosing preview or open with IE will crash our server, then everyone must wait 3 minutes to go.  I tried like 2 hours and cannot find any info on this problem online.  Everyone knows about this problem with Server 2008?  It seems to be very consistent and arrived on different images (JPG, GIF) until we had to install a third Viewer left - but the problem is still there and now and then someone accidentally blocking us.

I have tested what it about three times what about everyone when it crashes - but so far I'm 3 for 3, so I don't think it's randomly occurring even though I don't know if led EACH image.

    Help, please!

  • Software RAID for Server 2008

I have a PC that I want to load Server 2008, with two sets of HDD of 250 GB in RAID 1. My motherboard doesn't support RAID 1, can I find a software RAID that will work with Server 2008?

What I found which seems to have worked. I installed the two 250 GB HARD drive. Then the loading of Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, when he asked which will lead to load on, I chose the disk 0. After completing the installation of Windows, I went to disk management. I saw a disk 0 by a system reserved 100 MB, a C: drive with 232,79 GB type base and a GB 1, unallocated, 232,88.

I have converted the disk 0 to dynamic. Right-click Disk 0, select Convert to dynamic disk.

Then I have a right on the C: drive and selected click Add Mirror, selected disk 1, ok/next, then it C: mirrored on both drives. He left 100MB on disk 1 unallocated.

  • W500 & Windows Server 2008

After a few hours, struggling with Server 2008, I have the majority of pilots working with the exception of Bluetooth.  When I turn on bluetooth via Fn + F5, I get 3 unknown devices.  I installed the drivers bluetooth vista x 64 and I have "Thinkpad Bluetooth 2.1..." in my device manager, but these 3 do not settle.  3 since the Device Manager hardware IDS are:

    BTH\MS_BTHBRB
    BTH\MS_BTHPAN
    BTH\MS_RFCOMM

No idea how to install drivers for these?  Thank you.

In addition, I don't know if others have this problem, but I have the Intel 5300 card and although WIFI works, the State WIFI light is never on.  I don't know if it's a matter of harware or due to Server 2008.  I would like to know if it is also a problem for all those who, before call Lenovo about this.  Thank you

Never mind about bluetooth; I could make it work.  I had to find the Server 2008 stack bluetooth drivers and install it manually through the Device Manager.  Here is the page I used also as a guide: http://komeil.spaces.live.com/blog/cns! 11E09A8750032F2C! 471.entry

  • VPN in server 2008 r2

I have a problem with Server 2008 r2, I try to vpn on Server 2008 r2 server but do not receive the correct IP address.

This is the error message I get.

The DHCP/BINL on the local machine, belonging to the Windows administrative domain honourway.local, service has determined that it is not allowed to start.  He has stopped responding to customers.  Here are a few possible reasons for this:

This machine belongs to a directory service enterprise and is not allowed in the same field.

This machine cannot reach its directory service company and he met another DHCP service on the network belonging to a directory service enterprise on which the local computer is not allowed.
