Add Nas file systems in a script - Help!

I have 15 ESXi servers and I need to add about 10 NFS Volumes per server.  There is 'NO WAY', I do it manually.  I know how to add a NAS store via the command-line of vMA.   I need help is adding in a script for all NFS connections.

Can someone help me to start creating a script where I can add all the connections, so I don't have to add each volume manually?

vicfg-nas - Server myesx - Host.com - add - nasserver my.netapp.com s/mount dir nfsstore.

I add all of my NFS connections in a file/script so I can just run and all NFS volumes are mounted?

Remember, I need an example if possible, I'm a little green on writing scripts for the vMA.

Just try to make my life easier with the vMA and your assistance.  Thank you for your help in advance.

If you take a look at the blog, they go on a few examples on how to use vi-fastpass.

  • Help? With the help of file system Ext3 on key USB on Linux RT target

We have been affected by problems with the SD cards and USB drives formatted in FAT32 on some devices, according to Linus RT of long-term monitoring (mainly the cRIO-9035). It seems that readers are vulnerable to fluctuations in current and unexpected reboots (which are inevitable on these sites). Write aborted operations make the damaged discs, thus sabotaging logging after reboot.

We have identified two solutions; implement both gives the best redundancy:

    (1) installation of UPS (uninterrupted power supply for emergency supplies/batteries) - done

    (2) using the file system apparently more robust 'ext3', which is available on the target RT Linux (FAT32, ext2 and ext3) - don't have not so far:

  • Create the Script to add a file in an Action name

I have a picture, and I have a practical action that records, it cultures, he saves, cultures it differently and recorded once more. Currently, I have two options for these stops - I can save each crop in a separate folder and batch rename, or I have the break from the action he saves so I can customize the file name. What I would do is create a script (or, if there is an easier way), add this file name if it will save all simply in the same folder that I have to do it manually.

Basically, I start with the name of the file: 'TEST '.

for the first part, it I save as 'TEST '.

for the second record, I want to save it as "TEST_P1".

for the third record, I want to save it as "TEST_P2".

I am brand new to scripting, and is my programming experience with Java and medium in my past, everything feels a little familiar. If someone could help me with this, I would really appreciate it!

Another option is to use the Image Processor Pro script. You must create several actions to different cultures, you want to make to the original document size not a crop of harvest of a crop until the final harvest.  Don't have any records in these actions. Then just use meny file > Automate > Image Processor Pro.  Implement its dialog box to save the file names you want where you want to save them create.  You can also save that in action. The image pro script processor is a Photoshop plug-in.  In the dialog box, it will record the setting you used in the action stage.    Alternatively, you can save the configuration dialog for later use in the IPP dialog before running the process put in place.

You can store as many files as you need with IPP and run your actions simple cultures for each size of harvest. IPP opens you simply file a copy to each of your operations and after the action is performed to save the modified copy of doctment under the name of file you set up. You can configure as many tabs as you want you can even have you resized using IPP option re-size crops.   If the script is easy to use his 10 + lines of script Photoshop...

    Thanks in advance

Please report to us. I don't know the exact specifications. for stills in still, the limit is 4000 pixels in the largest dimension for PrPro.

Now, I must add that in PS. resizing algorithms are better, in my opinion, than those of PrPro and again. This means that there is nothing to gain and quality of untying, important images much larger than the size of the frame of the project, i.e. of 720 x 480 for NTSC SD projects yet. The size of the image will be the limiting factor, so scratch that.

Even in projects PrPro, I resize to exactly what I need. If I will not pan on a zoomed image, I resize it to the size of the image of the project. If I move on a zoomed image, I resize just what I need.

    Good luck

  • Use restore disk errors impossible C and error checking failed to open NTFS file system. Pleas help

I try to use System. restore and it says drive C contains errors, you should check the drive for errors before you can restore it. When I run an error check it say this type of file system is NTFS: cannot open the volume for direct access. Thanks for any help.

    Hello GregID,

My recommendation based on your response is to do the following:

    1. Click Start and type 'CMD' in the search bar.
    2. Right-click on the cmd finds it and choose "Run as Administrator"
    3. Type ' CHKDSK/f' and press on it, if it says restart.

This should allow the system to run CHKDSK in the window that is already open.

Can I use rsync to copy the virtual host to the NAS disk or do I have to use the vmkfstools command?

Any guest arrested or Hibernate mode can be reproduced by any tool you like (rsync, unison, cp, mv, no matter).

No risk of problems with disc ID / Grub?   How do I point to the new location of the virtual disk?

You didn't play something with raw devices? Haven't you? If this is not the case, the 'virtual' disk is only one (the) (*.vmdk) file that is moved/copied to the new location. Which does not affect its content, nor that it does not change the disk IDS.

There could be problems with ISO attached hard coded paths for CD/DVD. They can be set by editing the appropriate *.vmx or using the WebGUI of Server 2 for this guest (guest physical or ISO settings based on CD/DVD).

Is the same for drives, if you specify special data store options, the *.vmx expect to find his 'virtual' disk in the same place as the *.vmx.

To be sure, take a look inside the appropriate *.vmx (open with a text editor).

  • custom palette with tabs to swf Flex cannot access the local file system

OK, with Flash Player 10, we can load and save local files from a flex web application, then why can't I in the bridge, when I load the SWF in a palette with bridge tabs, load and save functions no longer work.

Is it because I'm loading as a ScriptUI called range of flash, instead of a palette of HTML?

I tried the overall Flash Player security in order to allow the authorization of my swf and created a .cfg, but nothing seems to work.

    Help, please.

    Thank you, Todd

I don't know exactly how your Panel is a failure. I have attached three examples of Flex projects that include the JavaScripts and Flash panels for bridge. These all worked for me in Bridge CS4.

To access the local, I used FileRefrence.save () for these tests - note that this method is file system was added in Flash Player 10, and so this will not work in Bridge CS3, which uses the Flash Player 9 when you use a widget Flash Player in ScriptUI. In addition, to compile the example I had to modify the Flex builder projects require Flash Player 10 by changing the settings on the page 'Flex compiler' project in Flex Builder settings.

If you use another method to access the system files that works with Flash Player 9, please let me know what it is and I can test it.

Among sovereign wealth funds also gain access to the network. To activate SWF access to the network, I had to add a file of global security settings. Information on creating these files are available here:

    http://www.Adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/articles/flash_player_10_security.PDF

But, for example, on my mac, I put all these projects in a "BridgeFlashPanels" folder on my desktop. Next, I created the BridgeFlashPanels.cfg file in/Library/Application Support / Macromedia / FlashPlayerTrust. The .cfg file had a line: the path to the folder on my desktop.

    A description of the panels:

PanelWithNetworkAccess - this Panel has a 'Test' button, when clicked, loads http://www.adobe.com and place it in the text box (note, it will be just the raw HTML, does not make the page).

PanelWithFileSystemAccess - for Flash Player 10 only, this Panel has a Test button and a text field. When you click the Test button, it writes the contents of the text box in the BridgeTest.txt file, unless you choose another file.

PanelWithNetworkAndFileSystemAccess - for Flash Player 10 only, this Panel has a text field and two buttons: "Load Test" and "Test to save." The load test loads http://www.adobe.com in the text field and save him testing saves the content of the text field to BridgeTest.txt.

To try signs, navigate the bin-debug for each project files with Bridge, the .swfs and .jsx files are there. Double-click the thumbnail for the .jsx and bridge must run the script and add the sign indicating the SWF file.

  • Impossible to mount the drive external HARD under Ubuntu Linux - file system damaged and MFT

I get the following error when I try to mount my external hard drive on my Ubuntu.

    UNABLE TO MOUNT
    Error mounting/dev/sdc1/media/khalibloo/Khalibloo2: command-line ' mount t 'ntfs' o ' uhelper = udisks2, nodev, nosuid, uid is 1000, gid = 1000, ask dm = 0077, fmask = 0177 "" / dev/sdc1 "" / media/khalibloo/Khalibloo2 "' came out with the exit status no lame 13: ntfs_attr_pread_i: ntfs_pread failed: input/output error".

Could not open the FILE_Bitmap inode: input/output error
    Failed to mount ' / dev/sdc1 ': input/output error

NTFS is incompatible, or there is a hardware failure, or it's a SoftRAID(4)/FakeRAID hardware. In the first case run chkdsk /f on Windows, and then restart Windows twice. Using the /f parameter is very important! If the device is a SoftRAID(4)/FakeRAID then frst activate and mount a different device under the/dev/map/directory, (for example/dev/map/nvidia_eahaabcc1). See the documentation for 'dmraid' for more details.

It is not mount on windows either: "i/o device error".

This is a disk with a single partition hard ntfs

Of course, I tried chkdsk /f. reported several file segments as unreadable, he didn't say if he fixed them or not (apparently not). also tried with the indicator/b.

    ntfsfix reported as corrupted volume.

TestDisk was able to correct a small error with the partition table by adding the '80' for the active partition indicator (only). TestDisk also confirmed that the boot sector was very good and it corresponded to the backup. However, when you try to repair the MFT, he could not read the MFT. He could not also the list of files on the hard drive. It says file system may be damaged.

Active @ also shows that the MFT is missing or damaged.

I tried to replace the USB cable. Has not changed anything. I tried to update the driver. Windows reported that he was already up to date. Yes, the pilot has been activated.

So, how can I fix the file system? or MFT? or the I/o device error?
I used the HARD drive for months. This problem started 2 days ago. I also tried to mount it on other computers, without success.

    Hello

I'm sorry to read about problems with your drive.
Unfortunately, I think that the question is misplaced a bit as your case appears to be the health of your rather external HARD drive that a specific problem related to Linux.

To add clips, if the tools you use have failed to fix your drive, then I do not think that a user 'normal' forum will no longer.
I know it's a fine recommendation and probably just add salt in your wounds: If you really care for files, do a sector backup before doing any file system / partition own modifications.
The reason is very simple - if the tool you use has made a mistake when judging what actions are the right ones, and submit these changes, you move your goal - and fast!
Instead of repairing, the tool can simply corrupt data even further.
Any subsequent change aggravates the disorder exponentially.

Judging by the details in your message, I'm sorry to say that I think your drive is defective, or at least the data is lost.
Of course some companies will probably be able to restore it, but that normally costs a fortune.

Unless you are willing to spend astronomical amounts of money on data rescue, so I suggest to accept data loss and look at what you can do with the HARD drive.
Try to format. No problem, this indicates the drive is defective and must be replaced.

    Sorry for so little help.

  • Backup error ReadyNas DUO - «read only file system»

    Hello community,

I hope you can help me with a problem I'm having with my ReadyNAS Duo (v1) running Raidiator 4.1.14. At night, it is running a backup job that copies a file from a computer on the local network to the NAS itself. What often happens is after a reboot for a while, things work sometimes days, sometimes weeks. But then I get e-mails warning that contains journal like entries:

CP: cannot create the file ' / backup/projecten/./CAM_strip/01_v0.1.JPG': read-only file system

Usually this warning is given for each file (which means thousands) so that emails are big enough. And obviously the backup has not been made. I tried to solve this problem and sought similar questions on this forum and on the web, but nothing helped. I can't identify what is the cause.

Maybe you could help me the grace to some of the run settings, I can tinker too. I guess it has something to do with the ownership and rights to access these files and folders.

    Thank you!

    Hello Miss,

Aside from trying StephenB and JennCs suggestions, if you create a test share, can you tell us if you will experience the same behavior in read-only?

    Forward to your response.

  • Cannot read the CD after you have used the active file system

I use the active file system in Vista to save my work on CD - R. I have often refer to these discs, and occasionally add other files. Once the disk is full, I start a new.

After referencing files on a disc, I pushed the button as usual. The disc was not immediately ejected. A window on the toolbar open and told me to wait and finally ejected the disc.  When I tried to use the disc again, I could not access the data. I know that the data is still on the disk. In 'Computer' I see '327 MB 702 MB free space'.

If I click on the drive or try to open it, I get a message "no answer." Finally, I get a window that says to "drag files to the disc to add data. Vista think it as a blank disc.

Is it possible to access data on the disk, so I can save up to a new drive? Also, what hurts which has caused this problem? I don't want to do it again.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Check the drive in another computer, better check in several. CD and DVD door, especially
RW. If the question with a single disc? There are companies that may be able to recover the
data if it is quite expensive.

Very good idea to have redundant backups.

Original title: I burned my files on a DVD as LIVE file system. When I return to access they are not

Using Vista Home Premium. Burned many DVDs this year. Burn the content of several files on DVD for backup. (use the DIRECT file format). Today, I put one of the DVD in the drive to access the files and get the message "Files Drag here to add them to this DVD"

In computer science, it shows amount of space available on this DVD is free of 4.38 GB 895 MB, but I can't access all files - explores or Open.

How can I recover my files and ensure that the next DVD retains the content?

    Hi Pampro,

    1. don't you burn the files on DVD-R or DVD - RW?

Acts of filesystem as flash drive live where you can burn the files in multiple sessions and this is the reason why you got the message "Drag files here to add them to this DVD" and it also shows that 895 MB is free to 4.38 GB.

This means that the files on the DVD are either hidden or the files may have been deleted.

If you try to view the files and then verify or even try to run the DIR command to check the files on the DVD player.

    a. click on start, all programs, and then click Accessories.

    b. right click on command prompt and select run as administrator.

    c. in the drive letter command prompt window type of DVD player and then press ENTER.

    d. then, type DIR and press ENTER to check the files on the disk.

  • Is Dell's FluidFS a cluster file system?

I ask because I have several servers that must write to the same iSCSI target.  If I understand correctly what could mean the blocking issues and corruption.  This is fixed by an updated on the cluster file system.  I see a lot of mention of the word 'cluster' with the FS7600, but I don't know if Dell's FluidFS is a system of files updated on the cluster or if the FS7600 is somehow a cluster os in general.

Can the FS7600 help me in my concerns about corruption, or do I still need to have an another clustered file system.

Yes.  It is designed from day one to be a cluster.  You don't have to worry a NAS accidental head on the other.

When you use the FS7600 that isn't an iSCSI target, it's a network share.  Either through NFS or CIFS.  What are the multiple systems can connect to.

If you create a volume iSCSI on the table itself, then your hosts the need to run a cluster file system up-to-date, it's true.
