Adding new LIST partition

Hi all

I'm using Oracle 11 g R2 and have an existing table with 3-list of Partitions.

CREATE TABLE parts_tbl
(id char(10),
name varchar2 (500),
Type number
)
PARTITION OF List (type)
(PARTITION part_t1 VALUES (1),)
PARTITION part_t2 VALUES (2),
PARTITION part_t3 VALUES (3)
);

Is it possible to ALTER the table to add a new partition to list value of 4?

Thank you
Vivek

Hello

Yes, like this:

ALTER TABLE parts_tbl ADD PARTITION part_t4 VALUES (4);

Kind regards.

    I just bought an SL500 and need to update my hard drive of 160 GB / 5400 RPM 250 GB / 7200 RPM. to add to the process I also wish to add/install XP PRO as main/C on the new hard drive partition. I am very familiar with cloning and upgrade, but my question is about the partition of VISTA recovery and partition of LENOVO CARE. I will be able to access these tools as I do now as long as I keep the same volume of wall letters? or y at - it somewhere that I will need to change the settings? After installing the new hard drive config will be as follows... XP PRO on the C partition. BASIC of VISTA on partition D... DVD on E (same as current)... LENOVO on (same as current) S... SERVICEV003 (same as current) q. is this a correct approach to ensure that I can continue to have the original installed tools on the new hard drive? Thank you mc

    Thanks for the reply. Well it took a minute, but I got things set up quite as much as I wanted to here are the links that got me here. as you suggest on the slip streaming, fortunately it is NOT necessary for the SATA controller. so for those who want to use with XP PRO SP3 SATA (in my case) with the portable computers SLxxx then pls see the Intel Matrix Storage Manager section first.

  • cannot move more than 10 contacts to a new list

    Before Thunderbird (v 38.3.0), I was able to set-up new groups using the "new list" function. I create a list and then open my personal address book as well as the names of drag in my personal address book in the new list, I just did. I tried earlier and after that I added just 10 names to the new list it won't take all the names more. I can drag on the new list, but when I opened the new contacts list only 10 are there. I'll close Thunderbird, restart my computer, restart Thunderbird and see what happens. If you don't hear from me in 5 minutes, which does not resolve it.

    The problem was the 10th name I dragged on the new list did not have an email address... just a name. When I removed this contact, the new list accepted all other contacts perfectly! A msg of error little would save time and aggravation when this situation arises!

    Thanks Matt for the effort.

  • How can I transfer my address book from Thunderbird to another running Thunderbird computer and combine the old and the new list into one?

    I have a computer in my summer residence and one to my winter home. They both run Thunderbird for my emails. When I move one residence for others, I want to update my address book Thunderbird. I do it by selecting - address book - tools - export, on the ' old computer ', store them on a memory stick, and paste _ address book - tools - import, the new address to load the list from memory. It works, except that the address of old and new lists are separate lists. I would like to combine them, but without the duplication of the same addresses. Is this possible? How can I do this?

  • Cannot copy the addresses in new list since the update of 31.5

    I'm trying to set up a new list successfully) and fill it with addresses by copying and dragging the addresses in my personal address book. I have done this dozens of times in the past. Now, from 31.5, it seems that the addresses have been copied, but when I opened the new list, it is empty. I have not implemented a new list for the last few months so don't know when this happened. Went through all the settings but can find no one who would control it.

    Help please!

    A new facility would create a new profile, but already, it has a profile in the right position and will, as it does on the updates, use the existing profile. Watch profile.ini %appdata%\roaming\thunderbird

    (If not, everything inside the new profile to delete and copy everything from the inside of the old profile here.)

  • How to copy an email to my address book in a new list that I create?

    I have created a new list for email and you want to be able to select e-mail addresses from my address book existing. I don't seem to be able to do this very basic thing. Y at - it something I don't know?

    If you usually make your new list and then display it in the left column, then you can drag (copy) any address in this list.

  • Satellite l.660-12 q - would the recovery disk rebuild the new HARD disk with a new recovery partition

    Talk about confusion. Does anyone know how to get a Toshiba C660 work after the HARD drive failed and the owner has stupidly NOT followed the instructions to make a recovery disk. Will be the recovery disk (if buy you one from Toshiba) rebuild the new HARD disk with a new recovery partition and install windows 7 (original OS) and accept the product key printed on the Windows license, attached to the base of the laptop. I have read a number of suggestions, but these have been considered incorrect by others.

    Surely, Toshiba must have a way to sort this problem.

    They read these messages?

    Hey Buddy

    I don't think it's really complicated, that I could find all the information about the recovery procedure in the user's manual

    The recovery disk must be created on the first day of purchase its recommended to create one in case something would be wrong with the HARD drive.

    The recovery disk contains an image. The image is a package containing Win system, drivers, tools and all the stuff pre-installed on the notebook.
    You bought the laptop and the system has already been activated so that you have need of t the key placed at the bottom of the unit.
    In addition, the use of the recovery disc formats the drive HARD integer (partitions too) and set the laptop in the same condition as at the first day of the purchase.

    There is also another option to recover the notebook called HARD drive recovery. This HARD drive recovery requires no recovery disk. The recovery disc HARD would be to use format ONLY partition C (System).

    Hello

    If you are considering buying new PCs, you can go ahead and buy Windows 7 Professional, Ultimate or enterprise. These editions of Windows 7 supports Windows XP Mode, where you can use all programs Windows XP. You can also use the Windows compatibility mode to run Windows XP programs in Windows 7. original title: install windows xp

    Hi sptusch,

    Thanks for posting. Is it a burned disc? If this is you please redownload the image. Also, try the following.

    1. place your Windows XP installation CD and start to her...
    2. Press any button to start the Windows installation (don't worry... we do not actually use the installer at this point)
    3. wait a few moments for the installation program starts, when you see repair an installation of Windows XP using the Recovery Console, and then press the R key
    4. wait until you see this screen, enter the number of your master installation. (Typically 1 to C:\Windows)
    5. press ENTER.
    6. If you are prompted to do so, enter your administrator password. If you don't have one, leave the field blank and press to enter.
    7. from the command prompt, type: chkdsk/r (note the space between chkdsk and / r)
    Allow it to complete undisturbed.
    8. remove the disc, then restart.

    I hope this helps!

    Try to remove the UpperFilters value. by following these steps:

    Copy and paste the following text in Notepad and save to a .reg file (save with the .reg extension and give a name like fixcd.reg):

    First create a system restore point, and then double-click the saved .reg file, add to the registry and restart the computer.

  • can't see new lists of reading, cannot delete 'old', no error msg

    Using Win Media Player 12.0 under Windows 7. After you have been using media player several years, never had a problem like this before. Both these problems have taken place in more than a month:

    (1) I can't create new playlists, or at least not that I can see. I am going through the steps of creating a new list, give it a name, to get the No. error MESSAGES, but then I can't see or use the new playlist. I know that it is there because at least some of the time, when I try to create a new playlist with the same name, it says, "the xxxxx playlist already exists. You want to overwrite it? »
    (2) in addition, can't remove most of my playlists, at least not those with numbers for the name of the playlist. (When I create podcast playlists, the names on the list are all numbers, which denotes the date.) I go through the steps to remove these playlists, once again, NO error MESSAGE, but the playlist is still there. I had a few old playlists starting with the letter 'Z '. Those I can delete.
    I just tried using Windows Media Player troubleshooting: "we have not identified any problems and that's why no fixes have been applied." So much for that.
    It's such a shame that this is not a stand-alone application, I could just uninstall and reinstall. Sigh.
    Suggestions? Maybe I should just look for something new, itunes maybe?

    Could you please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello Adme12

    Yes... Let's not your syntax.

    Try this:

    ALTER TABLE TEST_TO_SPLIT SPLIT PARTITION PRT_TEST_02_03 VALUES (2) INTO (PARTITION, PARTITION PRT_TEST_03 PRT_TEST_02)

    ;

    Select grp, COUNT (*) from PARTITION (PRT_TEST_02) GROUP BY grp test_to_split

    UNION ALL

    Select grp, COUNT (*) from PARTITION (PRT_TEST_03) GROUP BY grp test_to_split

    ;

    In this case, the value 2 will be maped on the partition of PRT_TEST_02 and the remaining values in the original PRT_TEST_02_03 - in this case, the 3 - partition will be mapped to PRT_TEST_03!

    I hope this helps you!
