  You can access the BIOS F2 press immediately while laptop power on.
  Then, you would be able to check the version of the BIOS.
  In the BIOS, I recommend to set to default settings. Simply press on F9 and save any changes when you exit the BIOS.

  I put t don't know how old you HDD is but maybe that click concern only the HARD drive hardware problem

  I've just updated my BIOS 2.10 to 2.20 to try to overcome a problem of overheating with Linux.
  The reboot of the XP laptop will not start. I get the XP screen for a few seconds and then the blue screen of death flashes until restarting the laptop before. The blue screen is so fast, that it's not finished writing the text - I can't see all the numbers to check the error.

  If I choose Linux Mint of my GRUB screen, the laptop starts properly. I also see the Windows partitions. I tried to boot from a XP disc to run CHKDSK, but I go to the step where it says it inspects the configuration of my then hangs on a black screen / white and there it is.

  I own a Satellite P10 part No. PSP10C-07610. I'm trying to update the BIOS with the update of the BIOS (Windows Setup) Version 2 that I found on the site of drivers & downloads for Toshiba Canada.   The hard drive doesn't show any activity. It is similarly of the screen (even with an external monitor). The unit shows LED market, but nothing more.

  I mean it looks like that the BIOS update procedure went wrong and only EPA could help solve this problem.
