  I own a Satellite P10 part No. PSP10C-07610. I'm trying to update the BIOS with the update of the BIOS (Windows Setup) Version 2 that I found on the site of drivers & downloads for Toshiba Canada. After the execution of exe. file (I think that on the end of the process) my laptop off and since only the system starts up.

  The hard drive doesn't show any activity. It is similarly of the screen (even with an external monitor). The unit shows LED market, but nothing more.

  Your description does not sound very well.
  I mean it looks like that the BIOS update procedure went wrong and only EPA could help solve this problem.

  Maybe you are a lucky man and only the BIOS has to be flashed again.

  I've just updated my BIOS 2.10 to 2.20 to try to overcome a problem of overheating with Linux.
  The reboot of the XP laptop will not start. I get the XP screen for a few seconds and then the blue screen of death flashes until restarting the laptop before. The blue screen is so fast, that it's not finished writing the text - I can't see all the numbers to check the error.

  If I choose Linux Mint of my GRUB screen, the laptop starts properly. I also see the Windows partitions. I tried to boot from a XP disc to run CHKDSK, but I go to the step where it says it inspects the configuration of my then hangs on a black screen / white and there it is.

  I imported just an Ideapad u410 of the United States to the United Kingdom. It turns on well, I started noticing the proglem wifi everyone have. Not much, got a USB wifi adapter carrying around I can use. Then I noticed that the hard drive (C, no other visible hard drive) was rediculously small (20-30 a few GB, I forgot the exact figure) with almost all of it is the used space. I thought it was a partition for the operating system and for some reason, the rest of the disc wasn't show. I noticed icon indicating the button windows update turn off and thought that maybe the installer was not complete, so I pressed restart. It kept restarting, download updates and reboot, I'm gone for dinner when she proclaimed it would now install update 1 of 96. When I came back the laptop was turned off. I turned it on to be satisfied by a never-ending cycle of BSOD when starting, followed by a Startup Repair failed... I guess that it is are not enough space on drive C for the update of windows.   What version of BIOS you have loaded? Version 4.20?

  Normally it shouldn´t do problems, especially after upgrading your BIOS. May I ask if the version of Windows installed on your machine you´d is on the media recovery or from scratch (from scratch means install with a genuine Windows CD and install the downloaded drivers)?

  To confirm that this was not a software problem, I has conducted an audit of start-up and tested for my wireless module and got this result, "without WIRE MODULE CHECK: NOT INSTALLED". The only way I can get my Windows operating system to recognize my wireless (wifi and bluetooth) is now by doing a hard reset, when I unplug my laptop from the power supply, remove the battery and hold the power button for about 30 seconds. When I turn on my system, then I can turn my wifi/bluetooth on my Windows. But if I restart my system the problem comes back and I can't turn on my wireless. So basically, I have to avoid questioning my system off and only Hibernate, so that whenever I turn on my laptop I can use the wireless. If I restart my system so I have to repeat the hard reset in order to use my wifi/bluetooth, which can be very annoying.

  The problem is that I often use my other Linux disributions and I have to restart before starting in them so that my readers will be mounted read/write, and when I do my Linux can not detect my wireless and it's a serious pain for me because I need to use my wireless often for internet connection.

  Please I really need help on how to fix this and get my wireless working normally without having to do a hard reset every time. I tried to restore my BIOS F.12 unfounded but I don't have the image file (I extensively searched the Internet to find, but does not). I've even updated again to F.26 but I still have the same problem (my current version of BIOS is F.26).
