AIP update fails on acrobat

Hello and sorry for mi English.

This is my problem:

During the update of the AIP from Adobe Acrobat standard XI update only the first 2 are ok, the sequence is:

msiexec /a AcroStan.msi TARGETDIR = "C:\Users\martin\Desktop\testxistd."

CD testxistd

msiexec /a AcroStan.msi /p "C:\Users\martin\Desktop\Adobe Acrobat XI\AcrobatUpd11001.msp" <-work

msiexec /a AcroStan.msi /p "C:\Users\martin\Desktop\Adobe Acrobat XI\AcrobatSecUpd11002.msp" <-work

msiexec /a AcroStan.msi /p "C:\Users\martin\Desktop\Adobe Acrobat XI\AcrobatUpd11003.msp" <-don't work, he said: me, it is impossible to install updated patch because the program updated patch or updated program.

Why

Thanks for the reply

Andrea

The process you follow is for incremental updates as in Acrobat 9 calendar.

The process you need to follow is up-to-date "All-in-one" that has been around since Adobe Acrobat X.

You should only use the latest quarterly update patch to create a good tentative agreement with Adobe Acrobat XI.

If your command line should look like this:

msiexec /a AcroStan.msi TARGETDIR = "C:\Users\martin\Desktop\testxistd."

CD testxistd

msiexec /a AcroStan.msi /p "C:\Users\martin\Desktop\Adobe Acrobat XI\AcrobatUpd11007.msp.

I think that you run some aggressive scans on your system for infections malware\virus.  The fact that you get into any trouble with the Windows updates as well as 3 updates (Apple and Adobe) party leads us to a problem that is more then just a Windows Update issue.  You do not mention 2 firewall running.  You must disable one of them, because the firewall programs may conflict with each other and cause problems.  Here are some links with useful information about the protection malware\virus.

  • Acrobat Pro update fails on the Mont Lion?

I'm under Mount Lion (10.8.5) and I tried to update Acrobat Pro 10.1.13 to 11.0.11. During the update, I wonder of "choose which version of Acrobat Pro, you want to update ' but version 10.1.13 is grayed out so I can't select and update fails. Is it not possible to upgrade to 11.0.11 on Mt. Lion? Can anyone suggest a solution? Thanks for the help!

    Hi Jennifer

Let me guide you in the right direction.

You can update Acrobat pro 10.1.13 10.1.14 to not 11.0.11 a version.

Acrobat 10 & Acrobat 11 are two different versions. Updates are less version & upgrade is from one version to the other you need to buy.

You can also install the updates manually, please refer to this KB doc. update, patch | Acrobat, Reader 10.x | Windows, Mac OS

  • Adobe Acrobat DC update failed

    Hello

I have a big problem with the update to Adobe Acrobat DC (8.1 of Windows, 64-bit); I'm trying to install it for three days now. During installation out of the CCInstaller, the following error message appears:

    =================================================================

    Exit code: 7

Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting. For example, the ERROR:

    -------------------------------------- Summary --------------------------------------

    -0 fatal Error (s), 1 Error (s)

-Payload: Adobe, Adobe Acrobat DC 15.7.20033.0 Acrobat\Setup.exe_15.007.20033---

ERROR: installer of third Adobe Acrobat\Setup.exe payload failed with exit code: 1603

    =================================================================

I've tried all of the recommended steps: error 1603: a fatal error occurred during installation, but it did not work. I also tried to install it via the direct DCInstaller, but it is always an error during installation. Sometimes this one:

It's really frustrating... An additional idea?

    katjal92387258,

Here are some steps worth a look. Your installation of Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 Run-time seems to be corrupt.

I found that the following steps work if you get the error:

"Error 1722.  There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package.  A program run as part of the Setup did not finish as expected.  Contact your provider to support personal or package.  Action InstallWebResources, location c:\program files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat\AcrpCEF\AcroServicesUpdater.exe"

Try the following steps and this should work:

    (1) Goto Download Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 official Microsoft Download Center and click on download.

    (2) select vcredist_x86.exe and download the package.

    (3) If you are on a 64-bit computer, navigate to another "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\" go to "C:\Windows\System32" on a 32-bit machine. If the folder "C:\Windows\SysWOW64" exist, then you are on a 64-bit computer.

    (4) look for msvcr120.dll and msvcp120.dll and rename the two files. Do not delete them while just in case where vcredist_x86.exe manages not to install you can rename them back.

    (5) now, double-click vcredist_x86.exe and install it. Once the installation is finished check that msvcr120.dll and msvcp120.dll are now installed back. You can delete the files that you renamed in step above now. Do not delete msvcr120.dll and msvcp120.dll

    (6) install Acrobat through r CC installedand it should install now without complaining.

The upgrade is not the 11.0.06, but it's an update. The upgrade is that you can buy if you had an earlier version of Acrobat (at least 9 AA). The upgrade is significantly lower than the price of the full product. With the upgrade you must also have the SN of the previous product available for installation. That's why I asked for the upgrade. Once you install AA XI, then go to 11.0.06 is a free update (updates are changes in the minor version and do quarterly or when there is a critical security problem).

You can often resolve installations by running a repair. In the windows which is done either from help > repair or the control panel. I don't know the equivalent of the control panel in the Mac.

In any case I am happy that you fixed it.

  • Player update fails error code 2753

I learned that I should update Player 11.0.6. Whenever I try to do, the update fails because of the error 2753. The file 'acrosup64.dll' is not marked for installation. I had previously updated Acrobat version 10.1.10, if that matters. What is the problem? Cannot find the error 2753 on the Adobe web site.

I had already used the Microsoft uninstall program before this message, and apparently, it worked. A day or two later, I installed the drive and the new version installed. I however agree that this work was not necessary, Adobe did his job.

  • Cannot install update recent of Acrobat 9 Pro

After you have installed a trial version of CS5.5 Master collection (including Acrobat 10) my purchased Acrobat 9 Pro has been removed (or otherwise hidden) my machine. After evaluating the choice of different software in the main collection, I uninstalled the entire suite and installed my newly purchased production suite pro. Given that production pro does not include Acrobat, I reinstalled my purchased copy of Acrobat 9 Pro. Since it was installed from the installation DVD, updates are necessary. Everytime I try to update to Acrobat 9 pro, I get the following error: "Adobe Updater Install Manager has stopped working". In addition, whenever I open my outlook 2010 client, it crashes and recommends that I disable the Adobe pdf form (which I've now disabled). I looked on the internet and could not find a solution to the problem. I use Windows 7 Home Premium. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Patrick

    Good day Patrick,.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble.  Please try the following steps after a fresh reboot of your system:

    1. Repair your current installation of Acrobat 9 via help > fix the Installation of Acrobat
    2. Try to update Acrobat via help > check for updates.
    3. If the update fails, try to manually apply the update to Acrobat 9.1 via direct download here: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4375
    4. Assuming that the update to Acrobat 9.1 successfully installs, please try to continue to update Acrobat up to 9.5 via help > check for updates.

Please let me know how it goes and if the problem with Outlook brightens as.

    Kind regards

  • TB update fails and I get an error of access denied to 7 - Zip when you download a new version.

Thunderbird was not able to update from version 24.6.0 (under Windows 7). Whenever I try to auto update, it tells me that the update fails. When I let the updater download a full version, which also fails. When I try to download a new version manually, during the extraction process, I get an error message indicating "7-Zip" up and "Access denied" in the window. I followed all the suggestions to the support download error page (as an administrator, stop the process of Thunderbird, etc.), and none of them solved the problem. Any other ideas?

What firewall / anti-virus software you are using. My guess is that the firewall or the anti virus software blocks both the update and full installation because it contains ZIP files. I have not heard that outside the paranoid company / parameters of business in the past, but there's always a first time.

  • Firefox 31 update fails

There is nothing different, but FF started again and the update succeeded. This is after more than a dozen attempts.

Automatic update fails, but gives no reason. Tried a manual update (Firefox Setup 31.0.exe) and it does not work? I tried running in administrator mode and nothing seems to happen (?) ...

When I click on '?' (help) / about and the updated... application message continues to turn and run for a LONG time, and then prompt to restart. I do, and you receive error message that the partial update cannot be applied... He will try an update complete. It loads and executes the full update and then displays a message "update Application" without end. After several minutes of nothing happens, I x'd out and I'm still on exit 30, with the message to reboot again.

    Running Windows 8.1

To date, Firefox continues to the failure of the upgrade to version 31. I'll try to manually disable all my Add-ons and see if that helps. Well, it did work.

Tried running FF in "safe mode"... It also did not work.

I noticed that when asked to "restart FF", the tabs looked a little weird... square is the only way to describe it. The upper right minimize output window icons were also "cut in half". Very weird.

Another problem. In my download directory, I have now three executable files that I can NOT REMOVE. Says they are in use by another program. Looked at the running processes to all and do not plant anything that it is focused on running FF. Tried rebooting the PC did not run FF and still cannot delete
    The installer of Firefox 31.0.exe
    Firefox Setup Stub 31.0.exe
Firefox_Setup_31.0.exe (this installer downloaded from cnet).

From now I use Chrome since I don't know what is happening with FF. I'll check back every day to see if there is a solution. I have not tried to uninstall FF and then re - install. I understand that I should be able to save all my settings, so I could try in a week if I don't see a solution.

Do not know how to 'close' my problem, so I answer to myself. Updated at 31 and next. Don't know why, but my problem was apparently solved.
