AMD FX 8150 nested virtual screens of black ESXi to power up.

Background:

-J' followed the guildelines and suggestions when ESXi running as a virtual machine and then, by running it 64-bit operating systems.

-SVM is enabled in the bios.

-As you can see here (http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/GPU120AMDRVICPUsHyperVWin8.aspx), the AMD FX 8150 (Zambezi) supports AMD - V and IVR.

-For some reason powers of 64 bit Windows 7 on perfectly fine, but when turn on/off Windows Server 2008 R2 and CentOS 64-bit, all I get is a black screen.

It would be great if someone could help me or at least explain to me why Windows 7 64 bit works, but the other two don't.

Thank you.

  • my screen is black on vista won't reboot in safe mode or in any other way

Message from McAfee says that my computer was unprotected to solve this I used their virtual technician reconmended he found 4 fouls and said he would fix the (reconmened) when he said that they have set to restart my computer. Now, left with black screen, I can't start even in safe mode or any other method screen remains black. Is this the end of my computer?

Start the PC and immediately after passing keep hitting F8 (once per second). I hope that you will be presented with an option to repair your computer. Select this option and then you will see several repair options.

Use the system restore - make your PC back in time to before that this problem occurred. You may select to show older than the recommended restore points.

Do not confuse the system with a 'factory restore' restore which will wipe your hard drive, including data, before putting the PC back as it was when you took delivery. Such an option should be a last resort. If in doubt replica with the options in front of you. Details of your PC can help too (brand/model).

IMO you should abandon McAfee and replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials. Your PC will be beneficial both in terms of performance and stability.

  • screen remains black (empty) as soon as he wakes up

Hey there guys! so I got a "HP Pavilion dv7-4280us Entertainment Notebook PC' 64-bit. Recently, after updating my operating system Windows 7 Home basic to ultimate, I started to meet this problem when I put my computer to sleep, it doesn't show any display in the morning (FYI. keyboard and mouse work properly!). Instead the screen stays black and white... :/ so I do a restart hard so that she could see and be placed back to normal Visual settings again... * sigh * sigh *. This has become very annoying now, because I keep losing important information when I have to do a hard reboot of my PC.

    Hello

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to help you. Be assured, together we are doing our best to solve this problem.

Problems with no display display or flicker after that you wake the computer from sleep mode are usually caused if appropriate for the graphics card drivers are not installed. This problem may occur if the installed graphics card drivers are dated or corrupt.

As you also mentioned that you recently upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Ultimate, there is a huge possibility that this problem is related to as graphics cards drivers installed the drivers for Windows 7 Home Premium may not work on Windows 7 Ultimate.

I wish that you check the links below and then download the latest drivers for the graphics card. There are two drivers for the graphics card from the manufacturer's Web site.

High definition (HD) of Intel Graphics Driver

    AMD HD graphics driver

After downloading the drivers make sure that install you them and restart the computer after installation.

Let us know the status of the issue after you download and install the drivers, we will be happy to help you further.

  • Screen goes black in the office in the pavilion g6

    Hello

I have a hp laptop pavilion g6 with two cards, the AMD M880G with ATI mobility Radeon HD 4250 and AMD Radeon HD 6470 M. The screen goes black when you enter the desktop screen (only visible pointer) after you have reinstalled windows 7 64-bit with HP recovery, checks resetting factory and the reduced image.

I do not see the Task Manager either because it does not appear on the screen when I press ctrl-alt-delete. When I try to update the driver in safe mode, downloaded from HP site, windows tells me that the installed controller is already updated and when running the catalist also downloaded HP gives me an error "Error loading controller detection." Any help?

    Thank you

No problem. If you could mark it as an "accepted solution" so others can find the answer, that would be greatly appreciated. Have a great day!

  • GTX 960 or 970 with AMD FX 8150?

    Hello people

    My current system specs:

    AMD FX 8150

    Gigabyte 990XA UD3, 16 GB 1333 MHz RAM

SSD Intel 160 GB, 2 TB WD Black

    NVIDIA GTX 550ti

I intend to upgrade the graphics card for this system, the current 550ti is a very reliable companion for me in recent years but he stutters now. So I need advice from you guys about the upgrade. I mean with my CPU will there be a performance difference significant between 960 and 970 (two variants of 4 GB)? My workflow includes Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Davinci Resolve with 1080 p and 4K images.

Answer with real-world data would be appreciated.

    Thank you

the two cards must be several times faster than the gtx 550 ti. the 970 gtx is maybe 40-50% + faster than the gtx 960. the gtx 960 would be good for adobe, except speedgrade software. DaVinci resolve depends more on the gpu and should do better with the gtx 970. color adjustments you make to solve, as the gpu will be used and replace the processor as the bottleneck. If you do not much settings or use of effects like NR or sharpen etc., there is a small chance the gtx 960 4 GB just might be sufficient.

  • iMac screen flashes black in Photoshop CC

    Hello

I am posting this as well in CC Adobe and Apple forums as I do not know where the problem lies, but I would really appreciate this problem:

I use Adobe apps on an iMac CC brand new (still in time to get the full refund). If you use Photoshop CC (2015.5) the entire screen (not only the Photoshop window) goes black for about half a second when any icon tool exceeding a certain size of pixel passes of the tool to the pointer icon icon or vice versa.

This happens for example when the icon of the fate of the area of the image on the menus or the dashboard or window, or when it comes in and out of the right click menu change brush size. Any situation when running the tool pointer or pointer tool. It does not always happen, but it happens most of the time, maybe the type of pointer movement has something to do with it, well it happens with fast or slow transitions.

The problem only occurs when the brush is superior to certain dimensions - never when it is less than the critical size. The critical size may vary depending on whether the Photoshop was opened for a while or just launched (I don't know too much about). There is also an interaction with the hardness of the tool.

    Thus, for example:

On the blur to 0% hardness tool, the screen flashes black when will top 80 pixels-never less than size. 100% hardness, it flashes from 64 pixels. Same for the Brush tool, Eraser, etc. I think it happens with any appreciable tool (don't have not tried them all).

I use a Wacom Intuos PS and the Magic Mouse from Apple. The problem occurs at the same time if they are both connected together or separately.

The problem occurs even when Photoshop is the only application running.

Please help, because it is almost unusable now.

    Specifications of the computer:

    iMac, retina 4 k, 21, 5-inch

Processor: Intel Core i5 to 3.1 GHz

    Memory: 8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

Graphics card: Intel Pro Iris Graphics 6200 1536 MB

The Photoshop memory usage is set to default values:

    4500MB (70% of available memory)

    4 levels of cache

    Tile size 1024K cache

I just downloaded and tried the oldest version of Photoshop - CS6 - available through my driver's license and the problem is exactly the same, this is not limited to a particular version of the CC in Photoshop.

  • How can I save by iPad 3 when the screen is black and nothing appears?

How can I save my iPad in ITunes or iCloud 3 when the screen is black and nothing appears?

Is the empty screen, because just the screen is broken, or is the iPad just dead? Have you tried a soft-reset/reboot it?

At least you can see what you touch on the screen of the iPad, you cannot force a backup to iCloud.

If the iPad still works and is connected to wifi, a backup should automatically happen (if iCloud backups are enabled) if it is connected and the locked screen.

  • 2012 MacBook Pro renovated migrated 8/20, screen has blacked out for the second time

can not force stop with long hold on the power button / stop. The first time was in the second day of use, after all the updates from app store. Screen was back the next morning. 4 GB of ram, mid-2012, os 10.11.6.

I have the same PBM and had a similar problem. One day I went to turn on my MBP and the screen was black.

It was seems to be dead. The screen was not lit. I tried the Mini external display port with a television by HDMI cable and adapter screen.

    https://www.Amazon.com/Sabrent-DisplayPort-Thunderbolt-adapter-da-MDHA/DP/B017NK IQ8M/ref = sr_1_5? ie = UTF8 & qid = 1471973756 & sr = 8-5 & keywords = + mini displayport + to + hdmi + 4 k

And the macbook worked fine with the TV. TV display showed MBP display very well.

This led me to believe that there is just something wrong with my screen LED on the MBP.

So I opened the back cover of the MBP and looked inside.

I saw the cable that connects the screen LED MBP to motherboard and disconnected it and then reinstall it.

I then closed the MBP and restarted.

IS!... LED MBP display worked again. If the problem was simply that the cable of the LED screen did not have a good connection. So, just to be disconnected and reconnected to make good contact.

This maybe off topic but it's worth a try. It may be your screen LED cable which does not have a good contact.

  • iPhone screen went black

my iphone 5 s screen went black and the phone is still on and rings when people call me, what could be the problem and how can we solve this problem?

It may be a hardware problem. If it is a software problem, then a hard reset will solve it. Press and hold the power button (also known as the Sleep / Wake button) and the Home button for at least 10 seconds. If the Apple logo appears on the screen, it's a software crash.

  • MacBook Pro 2015 turns on but the screen remains black...

    Hello

Today, I tried to turn on my MacBook Pro, but my screen stays black. When I press the caps lock button, it turns green which I guess means he lit. I've also heard the startup chime it generally makes when you turn on. I already tried to turn it on and off several times and reset the SMC and the LANDAU... The screen is always black.

    Could someone help me please?

Also a few minutes ago the fan has started to make noise in the macbook...

    But the screen remains black.

    Thank you

    Shaynidw

    Hi shaynidw,

From your description, it seems that your MacBook Pro is powered, as soon as you hear the startup chime and see the light on the keyboard.  Thus, it seems that the problem may be with your screen or the video card.

On the screens you see when you start your Mac

    Power on

When you turn on your Mac, display is off (black) and you hear a startup chime. Your Mac Initializes his BootROM and memory (RAM live). It then performs a power - on that self test (POST) and a test of BootROM. If you hear beeps or chimes at this stage, this indicates a possible hardware problem and start stops. If you add memory to your Mac, check that it is installed correctly.

    White screen

After that only walking self-test is completed, your Mac sends a video signal to your connected screens. The screen may appear black or grey at this point in the boot sequence and backlight of the screen should light up. If you do not see the image appears on your screen after a few moments, try increasing the brightness of your screen. If you use an external monitor, make sure it is properly connected and turned on.

shaynidw, if set up the brightness of your screen does not help, you have an external display (computer screen or TV) that you can attach to your MacBook Pro to test?

In addition, you can try to start your computer in safe mode to see if you get different results.

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

If the problem persists, you may need to take your computer to an Apple Store or service provider authorized Apple , so they can inspect the video card and cables to isolate the problem.

    Take care.
