Application manager apps not showing as installed

Hello

I have a new composition of bright creative cloud and it is reactivated etc.. I had the master collection installed on two PCs in trial mode.

I downloaded Adobe Application Manager (AAM) this morning and you can see that the apps allow me to install again. They do not reflect that they are already installed.

(1) will be apps individually install on top of a break to install master collection anything? I can't imagine that it is a good idea.

(2) AAM will display updates etc to already installed applications?

I'm a little confused as to the best way for a new Member of creative cloud install apps - so, I was expecting a master collection (install applications) of the MAA.

Thank you.

Hi SiliconPixel,

There is a known limit with the detection logic for applications already installed by the installer now for this first outing in CC AAM membership.

But don't worry, you can continue to use the already installed applications later. In addition, install them again, some within the AAM does not break anything that we have the same applications bundled in CS6 Master Collection and it's just going to reinstall.

Another reason could be that Master collection is installed in another language that the MAA language picked up by default on the system.

As long as you used the same adobe id to register trials and buy Creative Cloud membership, you need not to do anything extra.

Kind regards

Rémy

I get a message saying that Adobe Application Manager can be damaged and that I should install a new version of the MAA.  But after downloading a new copy of MAA and makes installation, the program (AAM) will still not installed.  It's like an infinite loop!

    HI gener7!

I'm sorry but I'm not on creative cloud.  I'm still on CS6 and it was Adobe Application Manager was not working and I could not install the update to this application.  My AAM version is: 8.0.0160

The link you provided was the update I wanted to install but it does not work.  A window will appear during the installation that says:

  • Adobe Application Manager sees not what is installed.

Manager application Adobe does not see what is installed on my computer.  It is said that acrobat XI is "up to date" when in fact it is not yet installed on my computer.  I had to uninstall X when it kept crashing and use IX since last year.  I would like to install XI since I am paying for it, but can't see how to reinstall it from the process manager, y at - it a trick?

    Hi Steven,

Run the cleanup tool to remove all remnants of previous installations and re - install Adobe Application Manager. You can download the tool for cleaning of Acrobat from the link below:

    http://labs.Adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html

Make sure you select the right options while using the cleaning tool to uninstall Acrobat 11 only and not previous versions.

  • CC Apps not showing as installed.

I installed (almost) all of the applications available from CC, but only a few are depending on whether it is installed. How can I do all of the installed applications appear under "My applications" instead of "find new applications?

    Hi peterkoopman,

Have you tried to uninstall Adobe Application Manager, clear your browser's cache and history, and then reinstall AAM?  Let us know if it works or if you're still having problems after trying this.

  • Adobe Application Manager does not display that Acrobat Pro XI is installed when it was

Adobe Application Manager does not appear that Acrobat Pro XI is installed when it was installed by the Adobe Application Manager. I tried clicking on the button in the application manager Adobe who installs the program again and gives a key to launch the installation program. But the next time Adobe Application Manager starts, it said: Acrobat Pro XI is not installed, when it was installed (and working). I am a subscriber of creative cloud on the Mac (MacOS 10.8.3). platform Adobe Applicationa Manager is version 7.0.0.324.

How can I get Adobe Application Manager to show that the program Acrobat Pro XI is installed?

    Thoughts?

    -john

I tried the suggestion Greg_M #1 first - without success. Then tried the suggestion #2 of Arpit - also without success. However, I discovered that the uninstall program running in 'Applications-> Utilities-> Adobe Installers folder' had not removed the file Acrobat Pro XI (he was still in his file in the Applications). Finally, what worked manages the uninstall program that was in the folder ACROBAT PRO (NOT the utililites folder). When I ran the uninstaller program, I had also ticked the box in preferences to delete (not sure if that matters).

All is well now. When I run Adobe Application Manager it says correctly that Acrobat XI is "installed".

Greg and David thanks for your help/suggestions!

  • Adds the Manager does not show my extensions installed in the Linux 9.0.1, version

After the automatic upgrade to firefox on Linux (Ubuntu 11.10) 9.0.1, the Add-ons Manager no longer shows my installed extensions.
The extensions are installed, but when I do

    Tools-> Add-ons

    then choose

    Extensions

on the left panel, the page remains white. The same thing happens for "appearance". When I choose 'Plugins', those who seem to appear correctly as before the update.

I closed firefox and rebooted, but I had the same behavior. Maybe someone else saw the same behavior? Any ideas I can try?

It is possible that there is a problem with the files that store the registry extensions.

Delete the files (extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) extensions.* and compatibility.ini in the profile folder of Firefox to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created if necessary.

    See "extension corrupted files:

If you see disabled extensions, is not compatible, in "tools > Modules > Extensions ' and then click the Tools button, on the left side of the search bar (or click on the"Find updates"button in older versions of Firefox) to do a check of compatibility or to see if there is an available update compatibility.

The problem seems to come from the Application Manager does not and work.

    Hi ejemas42,

    Please follow the steps below:

    • Please check if you have installed browser security extensions, please disable them. (For example: AD BLOCK, Advisor to Mcafee website, toolbar of internet security etc.)
    • Disable the firewall of your machine, see OS x: about the application firewall - Apple supportWindows Firewall enable or disable - Windows help -
    • Turn off the firewall of the security program installed on the computer Internet.
    • In Mac: Go to: Apple icon > system preferences > Security & Privacy > General > "allow applications downloaded on" change this anywhere (to make these changes click the padlock in the corner at the bottom left of this window and enter your computer password)

Most of the time, its a problem with the download was not successful or downloaded correctly. So, in this case, re-download the software and do not forget to compare the file size of the file downloaded with the file on the server.  Download Creative Suite 6 applications

Allows you to check in this case as well and make sure that the download is complete, if the size of the file is correct, to the install.log file.

Navigate in the log files in one of the following folder:

    Mac OS: / Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers /.

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\Installers\

The name of the log file includes the name of the product and installation date, followed of ".". log.gz."the .gz extension indicates a compressed format.

You can use WIN RAR to extract the 7z or gz file:

    WINDOWS: http://www.rarlab.com/rar/winrar-x64-531.exe

MAC: WinRAR download and support: post-Télécharger

Once unzipped, the log file is a text file, open the .log using TextEdit (Mac OS) and notebook (OS Win)

Scroll to the bottom of the log. Look in the section - summary - for lines that begin with ERROR or FATAL and signals a failure during the installation process.

Copy and paste this section SUMMARIZED here so that we can check for errors. Alternatively, you can analyze the logs yourself. http://helpx.Adobe.com/Creative-Suite/KB/troubleshoot-install-logs-CS5-CS5.html

  • Install Application Manager does not recognize edge animate

I opened my Application Manager on every other day or so to check and make sure I have no shortage of updates. However, I noticed the other day Edge animate had resumed the link install rather than the text.

The program was still installed on my computer, but I have advanced and clicked on install and let him go to his process. On the Application of the closure and reopening Manager he returned again to install.

So I opened my applications and did an uninstall of edge animate (removal of prefrences and everything) and then through the process once more.

Yet the Application Manager STILL won't recognize the program as being installed.

Why is this, and it will effect edge animate receiving updates when they are released from the Application Manager is not even realizing that there isntalled the program?

  • Application Manager is not detect applications installed separately

I have Acrobat XI PRO installed and Lightroom already installed 4.3 but application manager does not detect them and it will install a SECOND! a copy of it on the same computer. Yes, I tried just to see if he would. I wonder if Adobe will solve this problem. If you install a program separately from the Manager, you would think that the programme would beable to know its there. I had just installed Lightroom 3 copies to see if he would, and of course, it was too stupid to know better.

    Hi DrCheeks,

Currently, Adobe Application Manager does not detect the facilities that were installed using different Adobe ID (only the current), and this can cause the behavior you describe. It's something our developers know and will change in the future. The current workaround is to uninstall applications through the operating system, control panel > programs and features (Windows 7) or Mac HD > Applications > utilities > Adobe Installers (Mac OS X), then reinstall via Adobe Application Manager with the current Adobe ID.

    Re: updates for CS5 install February 4, 2011 06:54

    Try if this helps-

Double-click on it to launch the "Terminal" application (/ Applications/Utilities/Terminal)

Copy paste the following command and press the 'return' key to execute the command. Enter the password when prompted and press 'return '. This will launch the updater in elevated mode and can allow you to run the updates as well.

Please, try the following steps, assuming it is a MAC:

    (1) open the activity monitor and Force leave Adobe CEF Helper creative cloud, Adobe CPI broker & Crash Deamon if they are available.

    (2) try to open it, if does not work then go to Applications > Adobe Creative cloud > right click > Get Info > click the Add > select the user to which you are connected to > give read and write access.

    (3) if it works then enable the root user and the launch to date, visit this link on how to activate/sign in to the user root activation and using the user 'root' in Mac OS X
