ASA 5510 - display block URL Page

Dear,

I have Cisco ASA 5510, I have already configured Block_Sites using regular expressions and it works fine. I need to display a Page blocked for any one trying to access blocked sites. Example: I need to display page contains our company Logo and less it shows that "the Site is blocked.

I can do it on Cisco ASA 5510?

Thank you

No, the ASA alone cannot do. To do this, you need a will end UP with appropriate license or a proxy (such as the WSA).

To now see the url of the current page, you need to make a right click the empty space is the address box and press the button "esc".

Is there a way to display the url of the current page?

This problem may be caused by an extension that is not working properly.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions of the origin of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

  • The awesome bar in FF4 does not display the URL of the previous page visited the current.

The awesome bar to view the URL of the visited page, given that the upgrade to 4 FF is no longer the fact. It displays the URL of the first page visited say a goodle search so if you navigate to another page or return to the search results, it continues to display the URL of the old or none at all.

A few possible causes. There may be an add-on that is not compatible with Firefox 4 the cause. For details of how to troubleshoot see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes

The URL does not update can also be caused if there is a problem with the file that stores the browsing history and bookmarks. To see if this is the case, open your profile file, for more details on how to find this see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles

Now, close Firefox and places.sqlite and rename it places.sqlite.old. If there is a file called places.sqlite - journal you can remove it. Restart Firefox and it will recreate this file, import bookmarks from a backup, if browsing history will be lost. Now check if the URL changes.

  • ASA 5510 with AIP SSM-10

I'm new to network administration and our company has an ASA 5510 with and map AIP SSM-10. On the interface ASA when I try to load Intrusion detection, he said the following:

"For IPS 5.1 (1) S205.0, use the link below to access the IPS Device Manager." (If the SSM management IP address or the port is translated, replace them accordingly in the below URL). IPS 6.0.1 or above will be fully interated ASDM. »

Unfortunately, no URL is displayed below this message and there is no documentation in the company that owns this configuration. Is there a way to reset the AIP without resetting the ASA? How can I find the IP address to be able to configure it?

The ASA CLI, you will be able to check the IP address of the AIP module:

view the details of the module

It will show you the ip address of mgmt of the module, and you can https to the IP address of your PC.

  • ASA 5510 worm. 8.2 (5) access through VPN without client management?

    Hi all

I am completely new to networking Cisco and virtual private networks, I'm working on to the ASA 5510 8.2 (5) 46.  Currently, the unit is set up very very little.  Access to the administration are accessible from my home network to 192.168.2.1.  I'm trying to enable management access remotely by VPN.  I created a clientless SSL VPN, which, during the wizard process, access to the specified administration was the/admin adding to the VPN https url.  Add the/admin in the url for VPN is not me the VPN connection, and by using the/admin url from the portal returns a message "not available".  Also, from the portal I can't access the ASDM using inside IP network management, it also returns the message as "unavailable".  Again, I'm new to this, any help would be greatly appreciated.  Here is my config.  and thank you!

  • SSL VPN ASA 5510 connect Any

    Hello

I want to configure SSL VPN for mobile users on ASA 5510 I have following requirements

    > What are the condition of licence on ASA 5510 VPN with Anyconnect SSL?

    > VPN users have full access to the local network via ASA

    > Authentication method preferred, Local or AD (LDAP)

    > users use not laptops should be limited to the Clientless SSL VPN

    > How to add a URL is visible to users in the Web page

    > Can someone view example configuration for the above requirements

    TIA

    Hitesh Vinzoda

    > If you need both AnyConnect and WebVPN (Clientless SSL VPN), you can buy the AnyConnect Premium license (and this is a base user license). The ASA would come with default 2 SSL VPN license.

    > To have full access to the local network, you must use AnyConnect SSL VPN. Here is an example of configuration:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/products/ps6120/products_configuration_example09186a00808efbd2.shtml

    > You can authenticate to AD or Local or RADIUS, etc. By default, this would be local authentication.

    > Here's some example configuration for clientless SSL VPN:

  • After installation or upgrade to Firefox 31, starting Firefox does not display the home page, personalize displays a blank page and the radio button does not work

I am the admin of Windows for a University Department and install PC with Firefox all the time. This problem does not occur with every PC I would maintain, only a selection bit (model different laptops with Windows and update 1 8.1.) Until today, it has happened with the new user (with admin rights) accounts that I place on laptops for our staff. Today, this happened with the account administrator while setting up a new laptop. In all cases so far, I have install Windows from a registered image that was created by using sysprep.

I tried many suggestions to reset Firefox, removing the profile of Firefox users, removing the Windows profile users, uninstalling/reinstalling Firefox, uninstall/reinstall of Firefox and the latest Java, but nothing helped. After uninstalling, I run an application to delete the caches and temporary files and even remove manually the keys to register HKLM\SOFTWARE\Mozilla and HKCU\SOFTWARE\Mozilla. I restart and make sure that the installation folder is deleted after uninstalling.

Results are the same: after installing Firefox 31, the initial settings for migration, IE or Chrome pop up and after having clicked on the button finish, Firefox starts but does not display the home page of the new user, only a blank page. By clicking on the Options (3 bars) button does nothing. Right click in the appropriate box, the shortcut menu appears, so I can choose to customize, but which opens another tab with subject: Customize the URL and the page is blank. In the right click context menu, I can activate the menu bar and get options from that.

My last attempt helped a little. I uninstalled Firefox 31, cleaned, removed the profile user Firefox, rebooted and then installed Firefox 30. Initial start-up runs and tells me that I'm not up-to-date and the works of button Options. But I can't always customize.

Then I upgraded to Firefox 31, but then it's back to no start page, no options button and no customization. I can go down to 30 and get customize practically works again.

Addon only is for McAfee Scriptscan to Firefox 15.1.0, just after installation is disabled.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

You can try a different theme of Windows?

Have you tried to start the computer using Windows safe?

Start the computer in Mode safe mode with network support Windows (on the startup screen, press F8) as a test.

  • Navigation toolbar does not display the URL

When I go to a website, the section of the navigation toolbar that displays the URL of the page is no longer indicates the URL http://www as he always did in the past. The size of the part has been reduced. Has expanded the area where you type URL for search engine. I have no problem with the navigation, history, bookmarks, tabs bar, etc. Only problem is that the URL does not display the page. Even this page has no URL displayed in the navigation bar. It has the logo for mozilla and when I put the cursor on it, it says it all "Web site does not provide identity information." The same shows for each site than go. Yes, I can to bookmark the page without any problem and can use bookmarks to return to the page. But no URL appears in fact as he always did in the past. Oh, I have an IMac and use a keyboard of razor.

    Hello.

You should be able to resize the address bar, if the search bar is to the right by simply sliding the space between the address bar and the search bar.

If that does not solve your problems, it is possible that you have a problem with some Add on Firefox which is an obstacle to the normal behavior of your Firefox. Have you tried to disable all add-ons (just to see) to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you must make sure that it is not caused by one (or more) of your installed modules, whether an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do this easily and cleanly, start Firefox in safe mode (remember to select disable all add-ons when you start safe mode). If the problem goes away, you know that it's an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode and allow them one by one until you find the source of the problem. See this article for more information on troubleshooting extensions and themes and this one for plugins.

If you need help with one of your modules, you will need to contact the author.

If the problem does not disappear when all add-ons are disabled, tell me please, then we can work from there. Please be afraid not to follow my instructions to the line, as everything can be easily undone.

  • Automatic update AIP-SSM-10 and ASA 5510 (Beginner)

I see that it is possible to automate the updates of the ASA 5510 and AIP SSM via FTP on my own server. Is it possible to automate the download directly from Cisco.com?

    Thank you!

    Jeremy

Jeremy, the answer to your question is correct, as far as the Cisco products are concerned. So I wrote a PERL app that does exactly that, and I published an article about it in the June 2007 issue of Sys Admin magazine. Here's the article online: http://www.samag.com/documents/s=10128/sam0706a/0706a.htm

And it is also on my site, with a tar of scripts to:

    http://www.LHB-consulting.com/pages/apps/index.html

    Good luck.

  • Between asa 5510 and router VPN

    Hello

I configured ASA 5510 to vpn LAN to LAN with router 17 857. and between the routers.

between vpn routers works very well.

from the local network behind the ASA I can ping the computers behind routers.

but computers behind routers, I cannot ping PSC behind ASA.

I have configured the remote access with vpn cisco 4.X client, it works well with routers, but cannot work with asa.

the asa is connected to the wan via zoom router (adsl)

Are you telnet in the firewall?

Follow these steps to display the debug output:

    monitor terminal

farm forestry monitor 7 (type this config mode)

Otherwise if its console, do "logging console 7'.

    can do

    Debug crypto ISAKMP

    Debug crypto ipsec

and then generate a ping from one device to the back of the ASA having 192.168.200.0 address towards one of the VPN subnets... and then paste the result here

  • Is a CSC module must use Smartfilter with an ASA 5510?

We use a PIX 515E and an external Smartfilter server for URL filtering for many years. Works well, but we want to add the IDS feature. The road ahead for this seems to be to get an ASA 5510 with AIP module. Can anyone confirm if we continue to use the order of FILTER of URL (with Smartfilter specified as a salesman and pointed to the IP address of the server Smarfilter) as we do on the PIX? Sales of Cisco tells me that I need a module of CCS for it which means I can't have a module AIP, but the way I read it which seems to be only if you use URL of the CSC (user account subscription) database to perform the filtering. We do not want. We left 3 years on our contract of Smartfilter. I just talked to someone who has an ASA 5510 without a CSC module and it was successfully entered a FILTER of URL command in his ASA, as you would on a PIX. Why wouldn't work?

for the URL filtering, NO, you need not any type of license, this isn't a feature defined licensed, its rather a feature of configuration

  • Split tunnel with ASA 5510 and PIX506.

    Hello

I have the production between Asa 5510 (main office) and Pix 506 VPN tunnel. It is configured so that all traffic is encrypted and moves through the tunnel. This includes remote users behind Pix Internet traffic. I would like to use split tunnel and direct Internet traffic hitting the web directly from Pix instead of going through the tunnel. How can I do this safely? Please see current config Pix below:

I would do something by changing the acl that applies to your crypto card. You want to know what you want to support above the tunnel and then deny other networks.

    If you have:

    192.168.3.0/24

    192.168.4.0/24

    10.10.10.0/24

    172.16.0.0/16

    Do something like:

    VPN access list allow 192.x.x.x ip 255.255.255.0 192.168.3.0 255.255.255.0

    VPN access list allow 192.x.x.x ip 255.255.255.0 192.168.4.0 255.255.255.0

    VPN access list allow 192.x.x.x ip 255.255.255.0 10.10.10.0 255.255.255.0

    VPN access list allow 192.x.x.x 255.255.255.0 ip 172.16.0.0 255.255.0.0

Then when the traffic is destined for something other than these networks, it will go not to the ISP instead of the tunnel.

    HTH,

    John

  • S2S VPN Asa 5510 to 5505 no traffic passing (hair Pulling)

I have one site to another configured between a 5505 and ASA 5510, the tunnel is in place but can not pass any traffic one way or another. A 5510, 8.4.3 while the 5505 was 8.2. I find the version 8.2 the less confusing when configure the VPN. The new NAT throws me for a loop on the 5510. I have 1 tunnel upward and will already and it works fine. But when I do a new online, it won't pass any traffic.

    The traffic I'm EFS is 5510 (192.168.180.0/24, 172.25.11.0/24)<-------> 5505 (192.168.197.0/24) many thanks in advance!

    Hello

The reason for the DECLINE suggests that the ASA has still attached to the L2L VPN VPN filter configuration that prevents traffic.

Check the configuration and remove atleast VPN filter temporarily for testing purposes.

  • ASA 5510 more and Port forwarding

    Hallo,

I don't know if the thread title is correctly written, so I'll try to explain my problem.

I have an ASA 5510 more linking several external interface VPN tunnels to internal interface. they work very well. Now I want to access a server in the internal network of trust on the Internet via RDP.

I've set up a static NAT rule which translates by [my public ip phone]: 11111 on [the internal server ip]: 3389. Moreover, I met [my public ip phone] traffic: 11111 outside [the internal server ip]: 3389 inside via the access control list.

Yes, it does not. I made a few soft logic error?

    Code:

static (exterior, Interior) [the internal server ip] tcp 3389 [my laptop public ip] 11111 netmask 255.255.255.255

Outside_access_in list extended access permit tcp host [my ip public notebook] [internal server ip] eq 3389

    Best regards

    EYAD Tayeb.

Hi... I might have a word here!

looking at your config you have

static (inside, outside) tcp 3389 11111 netmask 255.255.255.255

    It should be

static (inside, outside) of the tcp 3389 3389 netmask 255.255.255.255 interface

Also... Make sure that the aplpied of the access list for the external interface in the outbound direction does not block traffic referred by your inside host with the public client that initiated the RDP session.

I hope this helps... Please, write it down if she does!
