ASCII for checkmark

Is there a replacement for ASCIi for that? I googled for it but I can't seem to find what either coherent or specifically according to its CF. supported in an alternative solution was acceptable, but using the letter x seems a little cheesy.

Remember, however, that different OS and languages use different character sets.

You won't get a check mark on a Mac or Unix/Linux system with this code, and if the user comes from another country or using a different OS default language as the French or Spanish, etc, it will also have a different character in many cases.

The only surefire way to transmit something like that to any user, is to use a chart.

  • Conversion of jpg to ASCII for code output ZPL-Zebra printer

I print on a Zebra ZM400 using the ZPL code. I can upload images to the printer using Zebra utilities and I remember these images to print on a label, but I have to be able to download pictures using the ZPL code (using the ~ DG command). The ~ DG command needs the JPG image to ASCII format. I have other images that were already converted to ASCII (by someone else) that I am able to print, so I know what I do works as expected, however my problem is that I have new images which must be converted to ASCII format required and I don't know how to do this.

So, my goal is to print a picture on a Zebra printer, but my real question is to know how to convert a JPG image to ASCII format (for the Zebra printer).

Let me know if you need more information.

    Thank you

    Hi Emily,.

Unfortunately, I have not well understand how this has been done before that the person who had previously completed a conversion is no longer works for our company.

The ZM400 printer uses ZPL II of Zebra language to create/format of labels and the printer setup/order. Instead of download chart (~ DG), I am now using the command object download (~ DY), located in the ZPL II (182 p) programming guide. This allowed me to use a. File PNG rather than JPG, which was easier to work with.

    http://www.Zebra.com/apps/dlmanager?DLP=-227178c9720c025483893483886ea54a70963bb77ca94fcc1d65ce93943...

I was able to use a modified version of your suggested method to make it work. The ~ DY command takes a parameter (data) which is a 'hexadecimal ASCII string defining the image', which is defined as: "the data string sets the image and is a hexadecimal representation of ASCII image. Each character represents a horizontal nibble by 4 points. "So the method you suggested is exactly what I had to do, however I didn't say that it must be represented in hexadecimal ASCII code.

I converted the binary file reads (of the PNG) data into a byte array, then made a (padded two-digit in hexadecimal) number of channels within a loop conversion For to give the ASCII representation of the binary data. This gives a hexadecimal representation of ASCII to binary data. VI is attached.

    Thanks for your help!

I encountered another problem: the PNG files took an eternity for the printer load into memory when printing (compared to the same image in Zebra. GRF format). I solved this re-reading the file saved on the printer, where it is native. GRF format (using the ^ HG command), then re-recording this output (now in the ZPL code formatted) to the printer. I guess there is a way to convert directly to the. Format of the GRF, but for now it does not work in my case.

    Thanks again!

  • The use of RASENTRY for checkmark all available devices

    Hello

I am trying to install a new entry of Ras via RasSetEntryProperties, which works fine, but I can't find a way to ensure that all available modems are disabled in the DUN Properties dialog box.

The RASENTRY struct has a member named szDeviceName and this will check the modem, whose name has been provided, but I do not know how to approach more than one modem with this.

I tested check all other modems in the dialog connection properties and then ran RasGetEntryProperties to see if something has changed in the RASENTRY struct but there is no difference.

I looked also RASDIALPARAMS and RASSUBENTRY, but I don't think they apply in this case.

Any suggestions on how to achieve this are appreciated.

  • Format analysis of the measurement data of variable length for Newport THP/N

I try to analyse the response of a sensor of zED-THP/N of Newport. The answer is back with ID SEQ TYPE TEMP C HUMD %.

    ID = 1, SEQ is constantly changing, TYPE = 15, temperature = nnn.n

I am trying to capture the Temp, and this presented a challenge. (The humidity is easy, I'm reading after the C - 5 has 'C')

The SEQ number starts as n and evolves to nnnn... so using 7x4a does not work due to the changing length of the SS.

When I use '15' 4, because the Type is still 15, and SEQ contains a 15 in the number, which also becomes a problem.

Everything that I have which is constant is that there are spaces between each value and the value of temperature I'm looking begins after the 3rd space.

    Any help would be great

    Great... progress is good.

If you use the single command, tol ERDG00A return all my sensors in a given request:

The request channel data that must be completed is channel 0. All other channels should be empty. Not \r, just empty. I should have mentioned that in the original post. Then configure the channels as before, ensure that each channel of moisture is a\r\n. The next channel group must be a\x20.

To explain, just one tells DASYLab to find the number of variable length, and he still needs a delimiter to put end. many devices use a comma, but they use a space. The hexadecimal ASCII for space is 20, so say us DASYLab to find numbers in a string of ASCII and stop when he finds a space, using the notation of DASYLab to hexagonal \x20.  notation for the carriage return character (\r isor hex 15), and \n is the notation for the line break ( or hex 12).

    2 214 15 18.5 C 64.7%
    3 237 15 18.3 C 64.3%

I like the idea of a single data request command for all four channels - less necessary communication protocol. In interpreting the device number, you will be able to ensure that the analysis works correctly.

  • I have a folder in Thunderbird that is on my local computer. I misspelled the folder like TomTOm.

I would rename this folder as TomTom using rename in Thunderbird.

The program does not allow me to do what saying me that I already have a folder with that name. But I did not.

Surely the ASCII for 'o' and 'o' are different.

    Someone knows a workaround solution.

    Thank you.

Change to something different, like a TomTom1, then back to the desired format. Yes, indeed, o and O have separate ascii codes, but Windows chooses to ignore these differences in the paths. Basically, when you create a folder in Thunderbird, you create a file in your file system, and its name is subject to constraints of operating system everywhere on paths. Asterisks and oblique bars are completely avoided.

It is also possible (but less), with an account IMAP-related, additional restrictions on access roads can be applied at the server level.

  • LabVIEW Serial port wait event with Serial Termchar

    Hello world!

I'm quite new with LabVIEW and I'm having some trouble trying to communicate using the serial port.

I'm trying to detect a data frame with an 'X' as the terminal character sent to the serial port.

The problem is that with the VI attached on this post I am not being able to detect the chariot of the term series.

I tried to make some changes to fix this, but I can't.

In VI, I used a function of Type Cast when I was using the wrong ASCII for 'X' value, but it still the same.

    Can anyone help with this?

    Thank you!

    Best regards

    Omar

This will work only if your message can never be more than 8 characters including the character. term set this value to 1000 or something that is guaranteed to be always bigger than the size of your message and all should be good.

  • Error reading the port series when the hexadecimal value is 0d (carriage return)

    Hello

I'm reading a string of 80 bytes from the serial port, but if one of these bytes is 0d (hexa) the rest of the bytes are not read because the read node Visa sees the value 0D as ASCII for the return shipping. How can I read the entire string and see the 0d as a value and not as a symbol of the ASCII?

    Manual

Of course, she sees it as a carriage return and ends. That's what you have programmed to do. The "character of endpoint allows" set to false with your VISA to set up the Serial Port. What Steve has already said. Claire?

  • Adding timestamp to the worksheet

I'm setting up a spreadsheet of the readings of temperature using DAQ Assistant. When I try to add a timestamp the value placed in the worksheet is always 77. What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you!

    Ben

In fact, you do not use the DAQ Assistant.

You use what is called the wizard of DAQNavi I've never heard before.

But the problem is in your code where you get the timestamp value while converting to string.  You then convert the string into a byte array.  So if your time is 13:01, you now have a '1' string ': ' '0' '1' 'space' 'P' "M" and they appear as the ASCII equivalents.  The values in the ASCII array gets converted to an array of doubles and a type of dynamic data.

The 77 value is the value ASCII for "M".  My guess it is afternoon and you basically send the value of 77 for the M character to your data file.

Try to get rid of the express VI and type of dynamic data and convert LabVIEW Real data types in your code as soon as you can.  You should probably convert all your numbers to strings from the beginning because that's ultimately what you want to see in your text file.  By converting strings, you can control the format of each of your pieces of data, then to combine these elements of the string in a table that you send writing to a spreadsheet file.

    So I ask you:

I want to create a switch/case (structure-case) block in labview for this code:

This can be done already with the structure of the case, you can make simple analysis in the case selector, which takes a string as input.

Type in the case of the first case "XYZ".... "XYZ".

Enter the next case "DEF".... "DEF ~".

Next is the empty string, the default value.

    How does this work:

The "XYZ...". "XYZ ~ ' matches all strings that begin with XYZ and any ascii value after the ~ is the highest value printable 7-bit ascii for that catches all the other characters.

Option 2 is parse (there is expression reg very good vi in the channel palette) the string and create if a corresponding to the value of the integer can habdle unique integers in the structure of the case.

There are so many ways to do it without a wrapper for the string .net class, I have provided some quick methods

    Hi KathrynB,

Sorry to hear that you are experiencing frustration so much with it.

Can you try to do these steps for me please, to see if we can get this resolved for you?

    1. Clean uninstall the BlackBerry Desktop Manager, as shown here: http://bbry.lv/acVRkU
    2. Right-click the Start button, choose RUN (or in start search box, type RUN), in the type of window RUN "msconfig".
    3. In the System Configuration utility, on the Services tab, in the list, check the hide all Microsoft Services.
    4. In the Startup tab, click the button disable, click apply and then OK.
    5. Restart the PC.
    6. Create a new account to Windows user with administrative privileges.
    • Click Start and select Control Panel.
    • Click user accounts and family safety
    • The title of the user accounts, click Add or remove user accounts.
    • Click on create a new account.
    • Type the name of the account. Select the type of account: administrator.
    • Click on create account.
    • Log on to your user account current and in the news.

Download Desktop software and save it in the Documents or desktop.

Right-click on the downloaded file and select run as administrator.

Install for all users of this computer.

Once installation is complete, try the synchronization configuration in the new user as a test account. You may need to configure Outlook or synchronize with ASCII for this http://bbry.lv/ibEbb0

If this is successful, log out and in your normal user account and try the synchronization configuration it.

    Hello

ip = address the ip address of the network device to which the user requests access to the a.b.c.d

username = xyz, the authentication request username

    Protocol = Protocol Ganymede GANYMEDE

Request latency = 0 latency based on the timestamp of the event of authentication, and when he arrived at the ACS

Network name = device router lab name that has been configured in ACS

Type = authenticate user requests to authenticate

Action = login user will connect to the device

privilege level = 1 course priv authentication level

Authentic-type = ASCII ascii using PAP for authentication (typical for Ganymede)

Service = Service type is the login connection

User = xyz, it's the user name

port = tty6 port to which the user is connected to

Address = v.x.y.z remote, it's the ip address of the workstation user

    Username = xyz new Username

ACS Sessionid = This is usually seen in radius, Ganymede unnecessary queries

AuthenticationIdentityStore = users internal identity store this ACS used to authenticate the end user

Authentication method = PAP_ASCII PAP/ASCII for the (common in GANYMEDE) authentication protocol

Acess selected service = Admin default device it's the selection rule of correspondence in ACS

Selected the shell = Enable profile is the shell profile configured GBA corresponding to the user cons

Identity group = all groups: zales_admin_user This is the identity corresponding to the user group.

As you can see that ACS uses a combination of the Ganymede av/pair with its own internal attributes that you can assign to the end user to make decisions. You can combine attributes such as the membership of the user group and the remote address to lock a user group authentication to devices of a particular workstation... for example.
