at gpib/tnt

Hello! I have the following problem. I have at-gpib/tnt card and PC with ISA slot works on Windows XP. I installed the Board and did everything as said manual, but when I run the Getting Started Wizard, it does not pass the third round. Tried on the market Win2000 and Win98 and you've got the same problem. The wizard Watch unknown hardware error. Help, please!

Hassan,

Hello again! Thanks for the reply, help you is very useful.

I have a few questions.

First of all, I need to know what operating system can still support model AT-GPIB no TNT.

And secondly, I followed your link and I have not found the instrument that I use in the list.

The instrument I should connect to the Board GPIB is very old so its impossible to find the driver.

So I can communicate with this instrument without driver? Can I use the API of GPIB for whom?

Thank you!

You can find this useful. And of course you don't need a driver. You need the manual of the device, and then use the read OR write commands (EBRD and ibwrt) to connect.

  • Latest version of the driver AT/GPIB/TNT built with VAT Statement - 32.h?

Context: AT-GPIB/TNT card linking 488.2 driver see 1.70 in Win98 TransEra HTBasic 8.3, driver GPIBNI. A device on the bus requires that interrupts is disabled. This allows this device works properly, but other devices hang. For NI Spy restores proper operation, which seems to indicate a timing problem. Technical support TransEra agrees with this assessment. Earlier versions of their software (non-Windows) error-free work. So the problem is their driver interfacing to the pilot of 1.70.

8.3 is not the current version, they are not too motivated to fix it. However, they did look at history and found this:

"One of our engineers did some research and I could at least limit change that probably caused the problem. Apparently, our driver GPIBNI was built using the VAT Statement - research online and 32.h include file, this file has been replaced by OR with NI488.h. He was not able to know exactly which version of the software OR it was replaced, but NEITHER are likely to help with this, or you can try just a couple of their older versions. »

So the question is, what is the latest version of the driver OR card AT-GPIB/TNT for Windows 98 built using the VAT Statement - 32.h include file? And where can I get a copy of it? TransEra suggesting that as the solution.

  • What is AT-GPIB card Rev.E2? Search is empty!

What is AT-GPIB card Rev.E2?  Search is empty!  Reverend E2 means TNT or plug-and-play or something?

In addition to the fact that it is rev E2 of the card AT - GIB, I'm not sure what you want to know. If the card was the PNP or TNT version, it would be declared on the card itself. On other words, it looks AT-GPIB/TNT. The /TNT and the /TNT (Plug-and-Play) were replacements for the older AT-GPIB. Check here for versios of driver that are compatible with the different cards.

  • address fails to TNT4882 gpib

I can not get the TNT4882 chip addressed correctly. I use onechip mode.

I run according to the configurations (constant of the ESP-488 header files).

    TNT_Out (R_cmdr, F_softreset);            / * Reset memory FIFO * /.
    TNT_Out(R_keyrg,0);
    TNT_Out (R_hssel, F_onechip);             / * Set TNT on a single chip mode WINK * /.
    TNT_Out(R_misc,0);                      / * Disable HS mode * /.
    TNT_Out (R_hier, B_dga |) B_dgb);            / * A deglitching circuits slower value * /.
    TNT_Out (R_auxmr, F_chrst);               / * Reset TNT * /.

    TNT_Out (R_admr, F_normalprimary);        / * Set address mode * /.
    TNT_Out(R_adr,13);                    / * Set primary address * /.
    TNT_Out (R_adr, B_ars |) B_dt | B_dl);         / * capabilities * /.

    Just after this configuration

    TNT_In (R_adr0) and TNT_In (R_adr1) return

    R_adr1 = 0x01 and R_adr1 = 0x00

According to the documentation R_adr1 should never return 0x00, the value must be 0 x 80 or higher.

After the chip TNT4882 gets addressed as a listener (to the wrong address 0).

    TNT_In (R_adr0) and TNT_In (R_adr1) back:

    R_adr0 = 0x0d and R_adr1 = 0x01 or

    R_adr0 = 0x0d and R_adr1 = 0 x 21 or

    R_adr0 = 0x0d and R_adr1 = 0xa1

Now R_adr0 seems to be OK, but R_adr1 once again is not going and again, TNT4882 gets directed to the gpib wrong address 0.

I used the very conservative calendar. I used two boards with similar results. However, I get the * IDN? Quite correctly from MAX scan device.

I also used this "setup anymode" in the beginning of the installation without modification for response.

Someone at - it suggestions or find something wrong in the Setup?

  • Toshiba 40RV753 - stuttering TNT HD

    Hello

I have a problem with my Toshiba 40RV753 and stuttering watching TNT HD. I first noticed what is happening to all about November 2014. I replaced my original antenna, cable connections and who has not solved the problem.

Issuer = Winter Hill, North West, England.
Distance = approximately 5 miles, line view.
Aerial is Vision V10 - 36L periodic journal.
Cable is 15 meters Webro WF100.
Toshiba 40RV753, applied new firmware 10.2.63.5 release.

The stuttering occurs frequently watching TNT HD using the 40RV753 of Toshiba, built in tuner. I tested it with treatment and image color, resolution + power options. Stuttering is even more evident during the movement containing, or scrolling panoramic scenes.

I didn't notice any stuttering watching TNT SD using the 40RV753 of Toshiba, built in tuner.

I have not noticed any stuttering while using the Toshiba 40RV753 a HDMI input from my PC, works of HDMI input perfectly with no stutter.

I have not noticed any stuttering while using the same antenna and cable connected to a PCTV, Freeview HD tuner works perfectly with no stutter.

My neighbors that Panasonic TV works perfectly when connected to my antenna.

My Toshiba 40RV753 suffers from stuttering when it is connected to my air neighbors.

(De) Fortunately I have two Toshiba 40RV753 and the problem occurs on two televisions.

    Someone at - it ideas?

    Hello

Try to reset the TV by default and to retune the tuner of channels especially the HD.
To be honest that's all what you do...

I m not very well why the DTT channels cannot be received correctly, but from my point of view of a few weak signals could cause this problem.

Google for TNT choppy HD picture and you will get many hits. It seems that more people have issues similar receipt TNT

To download the firmware, you can check this product TV Toshiba firmware download page:

    Hello

You are right; Qosmio G20 is portable really nice. But why are you sure that the signal is good (strong) 100%? Did you use another digital tuner to compare the signal reception?
Did you use MCE or a Qosmio Player?
Maybe the digital tuner really loses the signal.

I found a really nice article on HDTV in Windows MCE:

  • Frost TNT TV on Qosimos in the United Kingdom

    Hi all

I read all the discussions on the digital Freeview TV freezing problem.
It's a very serious issue here in the United Kingdom.
It happens on all the Qosimo with hybrid Tuner TNT. How can it be a transmitter problem, when other computers [media library] with DVB - T cards work perfectly?

This needs to be addressed and I hope that Toshiba don't we the!

Almost all major digital transmitters in the UK are in horizontal polarization and will remain after 2012 with the transmitters relay mainly on the vertical polarization.
I am not convinced that it has something to do with polarization how if other cards and touch screens work very well!

IN THE CONTRARY CASE, THE QOSIMO MACHINES ARE GREAT.

Allows so hit it on the head!

    Hello

On this subject in this forum, I read several times:
    Check this box:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=13702

According to other suggestions of the Toshiba user know this problem and tries to solve. I agree with Garrett that we give technicians a time for the solution.
I understand guys of the United Kingdom that this digital tuner problem is very annoying, but I'm sure it will be resolved in the future.

I'm not from the United Kingdom, in this case I have no problem with DVB - T tuner.

  • Using NI USB-GPIB controller Zeiss C90 CMM control

I have a Zeiss PCDMIS CMM running 32-bit on Windows XP with PCI GPIB (488.2 2.7.3)

If the controller is 8 bits, but work with my 32-bit system already, can I export the config VISA file, change on a 64-bit of Windows 7 with a USB to GPIB computer, and import this file into a newer version of the driver 488.2?  (change of bits or a more recent version of 488.2 will be a problem?)

    Hi Ryan,

As long as you save this export config file, you should be able to load it into the second computer MAX.  I can't find anything that says that there will be problems with the little change.  If you are really worried about it however, give it a try without getting rid of your original computer.

It seems that you already know how to transfer the settings above, but here's a KB on how to do this http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/BF528312C9A5423A862565BC00731EC0.

  • Connection of an instrument with GPIB-USB connection.

I am trying to use a GPIB-USB adapter to control a unit of Source of LabView. However, I have problems my instrument drivers to recognize the GPIB address specified for the device. I have attached an image below the address specified by IO Keysight connection Expert. I am currently trying to initialized the EMS with the GPIB driver I have attached below. Because of my knowledge limited in LabView instrument control, how should I approach of collecting the correct address of GPIB and recognize it in my VI?

    Hi wyattcurtis824,

Before we dig into the LabVIEW code, I would recommend a Test Panel of max aperture and trying to communicate with. Are you able to send orders via Keysight connection Expert or NI MAX and see the valid data?

In addition, when you run the vi in LabVIEW, is pilot it returns an error in the error on the box? If so, what the error is?

This shoule information help us to the root of the problem.

I accessed GPIB USB HS in the MAX software. As I was not able to communicate NF RLC remotely, so I tried Wizard DRIVER VISA OR according to tutorial Assistant pilot NI VISA , however, thnings went wrong and I am not able to see same GPIB to the MAX software now. What should I do now?

The first picture below shows the GPIB USB HS as shown in the software MAX and the other image shows no GPIB USB HS.

Yet once I installed driver USB GPIB link below:

    Its working fine now.

  • OR GPIB-USB-HS + NI GPIB-USB-HS vs

I have a visual basic program 6 which measure IR using a meter of high resistance of agilent 4339 B.

The existing work PC running Windows XP and use the NI GPIB-USB-HS and works very well.

The original code uses the 32-bit Visual Basic Language Interface Version 1.7 of National Instruments with the DLL of NOR-488.

When I try to use the NI GPIB-USB-HS + controller it does not work. I installed the new driver for the NI GPIB-USB-HS +.

I uninstalled the driver and returned to the NI GPIB-USB-HS controller and re-installed the driver appropriate for her and the program works.

I tried to implement the same program on another PC and could never get the program to communicate with the tester using the

OR GPIB-USB-HS + controller.  That is when I decided to check the controller has worked on the original PC and discovered that it is not.

I also had the same problem with communications with the bridges of cap and had to re - write programs using NI-VISA that the

OR GPIB-USB-HS + works fine when with.

I would have thought the NI GPIB-USB-HS and the NI GPIB-USB-HS + both work on the same application without any

code changes just and necessary update the driver.

I thank in advance for any help, you can provide on this subject.

Thanks - I made some progress on that yesterday.

It turns out that the initial program had the primary address of the hard coded device.

I added logic to get the main address of the device and I have replaced the hardcoded with a variable value.
