ATTENTION: the Tech support phone call scam.
I just got a phone call from a woman with an Indian accent very thick, arguing that the IP address of my computer was now public and hacked my computer. She even transferred the call to the Ministry "Hand Macintosh Server" to talk with someone named John Williams, who provided this phone number:
(855) 876-6657.
I immediately called the Apple Store and they agreed it was a scam.
Please pay attention.
Thanks for letting us know - always wise to be on the lookout and to maintain the level of healthy skepticism on this kind of unsolicited calls

happy 40th for the first cell phone call
Today - 40 years - the first cell phone call was made by Martin Cooper of Motorola using what yould become the Motorola DynaTAC 8000 x.
Weight - 2.5 lbs
Cost - about $4000.
Heres another 40.
Can you imagine saying one of those people holding the phone/anchor in 40 years, he would be carrying a device that weighed a couple of ounces and had more computing power than the first lunar module? I have now, imagine what will bring the next 40 years.

Concern about the authenticity of a support phone call unsolicited Microsoft
I received a number of phone calls in the last 24 hours from a caller, saying: it's from Microsoft to support me to eliminate the error messages alert red and yellow of my hardrive system (offline). They are willing to talk to me through this process on the phone. I'm afraid that it is an appeal from the scam. Can you tell me if Microsoft does indeed support calls at t customers its nature or if I should ignore this caller if they ring again.

It's a scam. Next time you receive such a call tell them you know it's a scam, you tell your friends to be wary, and you have contacted law enforcement and allowed your phone to watch to help apprehend the scammers. Bet your calls will stop.
And congratulations to not fall for this scam... a lot of people to fall and suffer pecuniary damage to do.

Mircosoft phone call scam?
I got a phone call this morning from a woman who claimed to be the call from Microsoft. She asked if my computer is turned on and I said no. I told him I had not contacted mirocsoft and I thought that it was a scam. She tried to convience me that it wasn't the case and I ended the phone call. Is it normal for microsoft to you contact via a phone call?
Fake phone calls to technical support
Calls unrequested telephone of this nature are almost always a common scam. Do not let them give any info, do not give access to your PC, not give them all the money and do not go to all the websites that they suggest. One moment.
Please see:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/security/online-privacy/msname.aspx .
Microsoft issues never not solicited for phone calls of support or security.
(such persons may use names other than Microsoft as well)

Someone just called me to say they were soft micro and called people in the region that pc has been infected. I asked how they could call it everyone and she said they could and called the people who was most infected the pc here. The she called from, there were 804-466-9633 and she said her name was Anita or something like that. I hung up the phone when she couldn't give me a number at microsoft. I'm sure it was something she wanted me to on my pc to give control of, but it was not yet on time and I hung up on her.
We thank you and hope this helps someone else.

Not sure what they could have done while they had remotely
access. That's why I strongly recommend you do both of the
immediately following:1. change all your passwords, mostly all banks or any other
financial institutions.2 reinstall Windows properly.

Received unsolicited support phone call
Original title: HelpandSupport4PC
I had a phone call cold from what precedes this morning regarding the security of Windows and malware. They wanted me to controls and then give them access to my computer, which I refused. They had a Web site to view and claimed to be the official support of Microsoft Windows and technical Division and they called each Windows user recorded in what concerns the malware windows security will not impede. They knew my name as well. Everyone knows these people? They are authentic? I am very wary of people call cold, especially when they ask for permission to access your computer. Phone number, they gave me was 020 81 04 99 38 and the shift supervisor was a Mr Michael Lamb. Anyone else been contacted by them?
Microsoft is not contact people like that. It was a wrong call. Contact your local authorities to declare this appeal of fraud. If this post answers your question, click mark as answer .

PROBLEM: When I receive an SMS or a phone call on my IWatch, it now shows only the phone number or e-mail address of the sender, rather than their names. At the same time my IPhone matched 5 c displays the names of my contacts perfectly list view text message or phone call. This problem just started occurring in the past week.
CAUSES: unknown - it worked one day and the next day it didn't. I don't remember edit particular parameter associated with it. Although my circle of friends on the IPhone appears differently now, too, without the my change.
TROUBLESHOOTING: I turned off my Iphone, tried resetting, powering my iwatch and checked the settings for the IWatch on my Iphone and my Iphone settings.
PRODUCTS: My software on my Iwatch says it's updated: OS 2.2.1.
My Iphone's software is also updated: IOS 9.3.2
My sister is also having the same problem with his Iwatch paired with a phone SE 5.
I wonder if this is a recent development and how to fix it.
Hello
It can help restore your sync data:
- On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go: Watch My (tab) > general > reset > tap reset sync data.
- Nothing seems to happen when you tap it, but the process will be executed in the background, invisible to you, so allow a few moments it ends.
If you have not already done so, you can also activate iCloud Contacts:
- On your iPhone, go to: settings > iCloud - turn on the Contacts.
- On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go: Watch My (tab) > general > reset > tap reset sync data.

I don't know what to do. One of my adobe applications gives the same error:
Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You can not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.
The above-mentioned tech support person was a test account, he did and has spent a lot of time doing stuff with all permissions to the adobe files. Finally he got it so at least to launch illustrator, then immediately crash. He just left without a job too shortly after.
I am running windows 7, 64 bit. On my own personal computer. Help, please
Note: I also had problems with creative cloud, who managed to get fixed
Caps folder contains the database as Cache.db, media, db, pdb.db file that contains information about the installation of applications on the system and other essential data, in some cases if the files are corrupt, it is essential to remove the record of caps.
Once you remove the record of caps, CC app will list Apps with button install because there is no information concerning the installation of the CC apps because the Media.db file will be deleted with it.
In this case, it is preferable that you uninstall applications that is not listed as up to Date and being listed with button install, even if it is already installed.

Someone took control of the PC, after receiving the phone call scam
My family got a call from someone who said they could solve its Windows problems-she had not reported it. They he kept on the phone for an hour, asking him do things on his PC, then it said to turn and they would be back ring. She could see the displacement slider and study programs. I checked this forum (brilliant ease) and after reading some posts I advised her to stop everything and ring of his bank to check its details would be safe. The hoaxters rang her back, was annoyed when she told them that she believed they are fraudsters. They claimed to be true and asked for the money for the work they had done. She hung up. They rang again and hung up when her husband answered. What are the measures that it should take now? Can report it? These people are not the phone ring every few minutes. My rels do not meet good course but it is ruining their day.
Hello
I suggest you to report an Internet Crime complaint, see link below: http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx
