  I just got a phone call from a woman with an Indian accent very thick, arguing that the IP address of my computer was now public and hacked my computer.  She even transferred the call to the Ministry "Hand Macintosh Server" to talk with someone named John Williams, who provided this phone number:

  I immediately called the Apple Store and they agreed it was a scam.

  Someone just called me to say they were soft micro and called people in the region that pc has been infected.  I asked how they could call it everyone and she said they could and called the people who was most infected the pc here.  The she called from, there were 804-466-9633 and she said her name was Anita or something like that.  I hung up the phone when she couldn't give me a number at microsoft.  I'm sure it was something she wanted me to on my pc to give control of, but it was not yet on time and I hung up on her.

  access. That's why I strongly recommend you do both of the
  immediately following:

  1. change all your passwords, mostly all banks or any other
  financial institutions.

  2 reinstall Windows properly.

  Received a phone call from 'Charlie' who claims to be from Microsoft. Thay have received error messages and had need for me to go to the computer and technicians would solve the problem. I said that I didn't have the time or I was getting error messages. I asked for the phone number to return his call. After hesitating, he said on the phone 213-289-3737 and ask for "Charlie".  Is it a scam?

I began, then became suspicious when I asked if they could give me an identification. More than two people came to try to persuade me to continue the program, they have tried with the first caller.

  I refused, asked their names and company they also represented, I said I was recording the call via the habit (a white lie) and then he hung up.

  I've composed 1471 and the number, they called a 02012574201 I guess it is a scam and warns other PC users to take note

  My family got a call from someone who said they could solve its Windows problems-she had not reported it. They he kept on the phone for an hour, asking him do things on his PC, then it said to turn and they would be back ring. She could see the displacement slider and study programs. I checked this forum (brilliant ease) and after reading some posts I advised her to stop everything and ring of his bank to check its details would be safe. The hoaxters rang her back, was annoyed when she told them that she believed they are fraudsters. They claimed to be true and asked for the money for the work they had done. She hung up. They rang again and hung up when her husband answered. What are the measures that it should take now? Can report it? These people are not the phone ring every few minutes. My rels do not meet good course but it is ruining their day.

  Your post is rather vague, but it seems you've been had by a scam, there are much of what we can do here to help you.  If you gave them your credit card information, you can call your company and credit card fraud report and have the card cancelled.

  Today received a call from a company called "micronix. Was asked to pay a fee for the protection of 365 days... And he was going to fix my computer via remote assistance...   I received the same call of so-called Sydney, Australia. Gathered that they were Crooks, due to the fact that they did not know the phonetic alphabet while instructing me to enter orders. My question is - if I open the window "Run" and typed in ' prefetch and eventvwr 'temp' at different stages, is it possible that they have accessed remotely on my computer right now?   Orders, they ask you to type in are intended to take you to parts of the operating system most users do not know, and then they will claim that what you see is evidence of a virus infection or "errors with your computer. It is, of course, no such thing. At this stage they do not have access to your computer. If they manage to deceive you, they will send you to a legitimate remote access as Logmein service that allows them to use your computer remotely and "fix" it for you. If you're lucky, they charge you an exorbitant amount for the service and sell you antivirus software for an inflated price. If you're not, you could be infected with the malware.

  Because you understand what was going on at an early stage, you are at no risk at all.

  If you know who is in contact with you, then you can either call their phone service provider and ask them to try to block the number or contact your local police.

  Microsoft has nothing to do with those calls.

  Everyone has just received a phone call from someone with a foreign accent CLAIMING to be from Microsoft? and they said that I got the virus, ect on my computer and they wanted me to go on the computer and I guess = open a site that would PROBABLY destroy my computer...   I heard there is a SCAM where someone from another country wants to go to a certain web site current and there wher you download something that ruins your system. I'm not stupid and I quickly hung up.

  I did a * 69 as the number is unknown... as expected... I thought it was a SCAM and immediately hung up on him... and gave him no information or access to my computer.

  Hello I get a series of scam phone calls indicating that they are of "microsoft" and say that I have a problem with my computer. The numbers on the caller ID of the phone are: 002133333206, 003105999211, 002532362020, 002063971113, 003606339006, 0013212000143 and 001753615204. They also asked me similar question such as if my computer is turned on and that it /she (because sometimes it's a woman's voice and, sometimes, a man's voice) can fix it. I always tell them that I'm not interested in such a way they cling fast to the phone. Can you please review?

  A few hours earlier, I received a phone call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft. TO NUMBER A BLOCKED (no caller ID).  Said that they were receiving messages from my computer it has been infected by a virus. I ran the two Windows Defender and Malwarebytes, and as MANY say that NOTHING malicious was detected.

  Please advise me how to proceed. I asked them to call back tomorrow.
