  I have a Dell Poweredge T6300 with a Perc H730.

  It has 8 drives 1 TB 7.2 k.

  It has a C drive and a D drive.

  Looking at the Server Manager / file C and D Storage Services seem to be Raids but I'm not sure what kind.  One of the disks in the set of 4 seems to be flashing orange offline.

  Server seems to work very well.

  Seems that I can't find a way to check the type of Raid without stopping and running Perc H730 map (CTRL + R) software.

  Is this true?
  I think I can hot swap according to the Type of Raid, and I believe that the hardware supports that.

  I was wondering if I think in the right direction.

  Did you mean you have a T630 instead of T6300 model?

  You can install Open Manage Server Administrator, who will monitor your condition storage and server real-time hardware. Just make sure that you check to install Storage Administrator. This may require a reboot of the server for the registry and the service is running.

  Additionally, make sure that you are running Windows Server.

  Does include ATA RAID? If it supports RAID ATA, I use 2 disks or more to in my local machine to an ATA RAID supported by esx host storage. It work?

• Difficulty installing ESXi with RAID and Ethernet

  I have a Promise FastTrak TX2300 RAID controller PCI card and a PCI Netgear 1 GB ethernet card. The RAID controller is configured with RAID 1 and has two identical disks connected. A logical drive is defined.

  When I run the VMware ESX Server 3i 3.5.0 installer displays the two RAID drives as if there was no RAID. If I select one of the disks and continue with the installation, the installation program uses only this player and the second drive is intact.

  Once installation is complete, the system will start and allow me to configure the ESX Server.

  The configuration of the server sees any Netgear card.

  How do we install ESXi to recognize the logical RAID drive both the Netgear ethernet adapter? The only Setup installation option that I could see was to press TAB before the loading of the installer. But that just showed two lines of giberish and I press any takes over the responsibility of the installer.

  (1) the promise is a "soft" raid card, which means linux and windows, that the pilot made the raid, ESX, so on, it will work, but each drive is independent.  There is no choice in addition to using a fully supported RAID card.

  (2) netgear probably isn't on the HCL, and therefore will not work.  Buy a card in the HCL...

  It is not easy to give you accurate information, but if your laptop is the Intel Centrino mobile technology you can use of LAN Mini PCI Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG adapter. I have the same WLAN card and can use WPA and 54mbits data transfer speed.

  You can try the following methods and check to see if it helps:

  Method 1:

  a. Click Start and select run, type cmd and click OK.

  b. type net stop cryptsvc and press ENTER.

  c. type ren %systemroot%\System32\Catroot2 oldcatroot2, and then press the Enter key.

  d. restart the computer.

  e. open new command prompt and Type net start cryptsvc, and press ENTER.

  Method 2:

  If the same problem persists then you can try to uninstall the network drivers and check.

  a. click the Start button. Select run, type devmgmt.msc and press OK.

  b. Select the network card and right click on it.

  c. now, select Properties.

  d. in the Properties window, on the driver tab, click Uninstall.

  e. After you have uninstalled the drivers, restart the computer.
