Backup DVD of Windows 8

I downloaded and installed Windows 8 without selecting the option to backup DVDs. Do I really need DVD backup when re - install or change the computer? I could do a backup later? Can I install my purchased Windows 8 on other computers. and how much? Thank you.

How to reinstall Windows 8

You have two options:

If you want to reinstall Windows 8, which means remove applications and personal files and settings, you can use the reset and refresh. This is equivalent to a clean install.

To do this, follow these steps:

· Press the Windows key + i on your keyboard to show the charms (if you use a touch screen: touch the right edge of your screen and drag your finger to the left)

· Click settings

· Click change PC settings

· Click general in the left column

· In virtue remove all and reinstall Windows, click Start

Then follow instructions that will be provided on the screen to reinstall Windows on your PC.

Option 2:

If you create an installation DVD or a USB bootable, you can use them to reinstall Windows. First, you will need to reinstall license qualification, then begin the upgrade to Windows 8. License of qualification means that you will need to reinstall Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7.

Option 3:

A workaround for this situation is to create a system image of Windows 8, just after you have upgraded. So if your drive plant, you can simply restore the image on a new hard drive or restore the image on the same drive, if you want to reinstall Windos 8.

See the following for instructions on how to create an image of the installation process of Windows 8:

(references Windows 7, but the same principles apply to Windows 8).

    Hi mine,

This isn't a question of MSE - there is a problem with Vista or your computer or your software backup or your DVD player or its drivers or something else. We are not the right people to answer your question and give you the best possible options and solutions - you have to talk to the experts.

Please repost at: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-system?page=1&tab=all&tm=1304884961900 where specialists who understand and focus to help with these issues will be more than happy to help you.

Although not my area of expertise (and you're welcome to ignore it and just after to the other forum), I did do research in any case and believe that the problem involves the corruption on your hard drive (although I could certainly be wrong - it is more likely to be the case if the full error message includes "drive cannot find sector requested" but you don't get the full error message, so I don't know). To try to fix it, if that is the problem, follow these steps:

Go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

While in the command prompt, type chkdsk /f /r and enter and let it run. They tried to set itself to run at the next reboot. Answer Yes and restart to run the program. It will scan and attempt to resolve any corruption or bad sectors on your hard drive and remove especially as a potential cause.

If this does not work, test better clean your hard drive. To test your hard drive, check the manufacturer and try to diagnosis HD (http://www.carrona.org/hddiag.html) or this test: hard drive diagnostics tools and utilities (storage) - Corp of TACKtech (http://www.tacktech.com/display.cfm?ttid=287). If it passes the tests, there's probably nothing wrong with it and you must do to the other support forum. If it fails, which include in your post on the other forum and let them advise you how to proceed.

I hope that the above solves the problem. If this isn't the case, I am confident, they can help you in the other forum, because that's what they specialize in. It would help if you posted the message Word for Word that is accurate and complete, including all codes. In addition, it would help them if you explain the difficulty you mention services involving (a link to the site where you found the solution or at least what exactly you did and what has happened or not happened when you tried). And if you've tried my suggestions above, include the results in your message (so they don't ask you to do it again and will be able to exclude).

    Good luck and best wishes!

    Thanks for all info

I don't have a solution to your problem of file using DVD backup.

I just want to make a suggestion...

Abandon the DVD method. It's stone age, and several times he does not. I know, I have here.

Please, invest in an external hard drive and backup with it.

It will secure you all the aggravation of the use of DVDs.

You won't have to sit by the computer, feeding beside with dvd, whenever he asked one.

You can simply walk, watch TV, read a book, etc. and let the computer and the ext.hhd are doing their job.

According to the country of whichn you are, an ext.hard of 1 TB drive can be had for less than $150 in the United States and the Canada.

  • How to create a recovery with the Image of the DVD of Windows 7 Partition?

My laptop got screwed that I started a month on vacation and no DVD of Windows 7 with me. I think that the best solution would be a partition with a bootable Windows 7 DVD image.

Make a Windows 7 image and store it on a separate partition

    1. create a partition large enough to store an image of your Windows 7 installation
2 make a Windows 7 image and save the image on this partition

    5. the next window is just a review, make sure everything is correct, and then click Start backup to start the process.  It may take 10 minutes or more, so patience is needed.
    6. once the backup is complete, you? He's prompted with the option to create a system repair disc.  It's a good idea, just in case your system has problems in the future.  Click Yes.

  • M30X MultiDrive won't burn a DVD from Windows Movie Maker

    Hello

My MultiDrive M30x will not burn the DVD from Windows Movie Maker and other applications.

I also had problems with burning CDs (unbranded) of Windows XP, built in utility.

The multidrive has problems with cheaper brand discs?

    Just to note,
The laptop was to support guys three times until various issues.
    (1) the hard drive failed.
    (2) the multidrive has failed.
    (3) the motherboard replaced, due to power outages, it would not charge the battery, or recognize that the AC adapter is plugged.

Note: The hard drive, not the fan made the most noise in mine!

    Thank you

    Hello

As far as I know (i.e. pre-installed burning software Save now, drag-and - drop) disabled the option of Windows XP burning. In this case if you want to use the Movie Maker or Windows media player burning option, you need to activate this possibility.
Please, go to the properties of the drivers (right click). Please select the recording tab. CD recording option on this drive must be marked.
I use the software Nero burning and in my opinion he of one of the best burning programs. In addition, you should try different manufacturers CD/DVD because some CD and DVD is not compatible with some readers. Check the TDK CD and DVD. I never had no problem with these media.

Anyone know how to get a new dvd - rom windows xp mce recovery? And how much it will cost?
Because I'm living in the Brazil, and I bought the laptop in the United Kingdom.

    Hello

The recovery CD can be ordered from each Toshiba authorized service provider.
Authorized service provider fixed prices of recovery CD and each country has different prices, but generally it should not be expensive.

  • Re: A500-1GL - create a CD/DVD of Windows 7

Anyone know how to create a CD/DVD of Windows 7 from a source that is preinstalled on the HARD drive?

    Hello

A recovery of the software on your computer image is stored on the hard drive
disk drive and can be copied on a DVD by using the following steps:

    1. Select the two blank DVD media.

    2. the application will allow you to choose from a variety of different media on which the recovery image can be copied, including DVD-R, DVD-R DL, DVD - RW, DVD + R, DVD + R DL and DVD + RW.

    3. turn on your computer and let it load Windows 7 operating system from the hard disk as usual.

    4. Insert the first blank media into the optical disc drive tray.

5 double-click on the Recovery Disc Creator on the Windows7 desktop icon, or select the application from the Start Menu.

    6. After Recovery Disc Creator starts, select the type of media and the title you want to copy, and then click Create. If your optical disc drive can only write to CDs, select "CD" as the 'Disc Set' in the Recovery Disc Creator application. Otherwise, if your optical disc drive can write CD and DVD, select the media type you want to create.

? Make sure to plug the power adapter when create you recovery discs.
? Be sure to close all other software programs except the recovery disk creator.
? Do not software such as screensavers that can put a heavy load on the processor.
? Use the computer to full power.

? Not shut down/logoff or sleep/wake extended while writing or rewriting drive.
? Configure the computer on a flat surface and avoid locations subject to vibrations such as planes, trains or cars.
? Do not use on tables unstable or other any other unstable surface. Please note that certain media above may not be compatible with the

    Hello

I think that it s a good idea to make a backup on your laptop.

You have created the Toshiba recovery disks? When you bought a Toshiba laptop, you must create these disks. If you have a virus or something else with these discs, you can get the factory settings on your laptop.

You can create discs with the Toshiba recovery disc creator and if you didn t again, you get the following message:
