Backup of z10 blackBerry bb, Z10 restoration, to the bb device 7

Hello

IM new to the forum.

I have a small question, I'm trying to restore a backup of bb for bb z10 7 my device to make repairs. The z10 bb backup is in .bbb format, but when I try to restore the device bb 7, the backup is not found.

I tried to rename the backup, trying to use the magical berries for the backup (the backup access error).

No one has managed to do this? Please let me know...

Concerning

Duane

    Hello mfheatlie,

    Welcome to the community,

Before the upgrade you have your backup on desktop software?

If Yes can then connect your device to desktop BB software > software on the BB desktop click applications>

There, you can see everything that you request list before your upgrade.

Select the Application that you want to transfer and then click APPLY.

If your applications lost are paid APPS. and you can not get to watch this link wire relocation paid apps

I hope that your problem decided. Good luck.

  • BlackBerry Z30 two BBs bearing the same names of device

I had a Z10and I replaced it with a Z30. When I made the switch I saved the Z10 and then the Z30 and transferred all my data. address book, email, pictures, etc. In the process of link Blackberry gave my new Z30 the same device as the Z10 name. This wasn't a problem until a few weeks before when I reactivated the Z10 for my wife to use. Now they both have the same device name. How can I change one of them without screwing all the parameters, etc.

    intrigued,

    Pat

I assume that you mean the name you give the camera. And I guess that link assigns a name if you do not enter a unit. To consult me, look at settings > on > device name.

So, if I am followed, remove or delete the link Z10, change the name of the device and add it to the link with the new name.

In addition, if you do not, you should do a wipe of the Z10 security and implemented with BBID your wife. And be familiar with BlackBerry protect against theft, first of all, if it applies.  http://support.BlackBerry.com/kb/articleDetail?ArticleNumber=000036737

  • BlackBerry Smartphones transfer contact list complete new device

I am trying to transfer all my contacts from an old torch 9800 to a new torch 9800, but only some of the contacts are copied. I tried to backup-restore through office etc. software but is not to copy the complete list. Tried to do to AT & T store but who just duplicated 425 contacts I have all ready.  After I manually removed all duplicates... Tried again without success.  ???

Hmmm... have you attached the switch device Wizard in the BlackBerry Desktop Software?

If so, I suggest you install BlackBerry Protect on the old device, backup on WiFi.

When you get the new device upward and the race, install BBProtect on it and restore it from the backup more air.

  • BlackBerry Z10 and thus, the trouble begins... bold 9900 backup restore to z10?

Very happy that my z10 has arrived!

The z10 uses the link instead of office.  I supported my bold 9900 before this happened.  How can I get that restored the z10, so I can get my contacts etc.?

Of course, pre-order the tech is like... Oh no problem, simply switch your sim card & it will be there, but... It is not so.

I had to call tech support & we are working on that.

You can try if you have the "BOLD" phone... Download the Blackberry link (instead of the desktop computer)... to open the link, "BOLD", plug in bold. It should ask you to transfer data.  that & it invites to plug your z10 & then begins the transfer of data.

I warn you this right now, mine is stuck at transfer 3.4 MB of 383.8 MB is yet to see if this work.  I have a slow computer, so I don't know if it's just the computer it slows down or is it really stuck.

  • BlackBerry Z10 save on the home screen does not not after restoring

    Hello

My Z10 was stolen last week, fortunately I did a backup of a few days before. I bought an other Z10 now restored my backup for it and everything seemed to go very smoothly. Until I tried to save a url from the browser to the home screen.

The process seems to go normally, except that the icon never appears on the home screen. Savings in the form of bookmarks URL works, but I want to save some to the homescreen lke I used to be able to do.

I met other Z10 owners who have the same problem after doing a restore and have not been able to find a solution.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    It works!

Do you have a factory reset, restored my backup again and this time it worked. The only thing that was different was a new (released some time this afternoon) update link to BB.

I don't know if re-restoration has fixed the problem or update link BB before the re - restore the fixed. Although my "instinct" is that the link BB update has solved, because all my "home screen" shortcuts also reappear (they were absent after the first attempt).

  • BlackBerry 10 functions and features can not turn off my Blackberry Protect z10 after changing the password ID.

My wife's phone was last updated the operating system more recent 10.3.2. I then tried to access a service and found when he asked for the Blackberry ID, we had forgotten the issue of password and user. Then I deleted the ID and set up a new. I can connect to the new identification, but he cannot confirm on the z10. Then I thought to wipe the z10 back to factory setting. However; the z10 shows that BB Protect is enabled and we cannot turn it off using the passwords that we try.

I have logged on to the site of BB Protect and found there is no device associated with this Userid. Also, I find the screen for the current user ID name using our existing email address differs from the one showing on the screen z10 Blackberry ID. name I tried to change the screen name and password on the ID to be similar to the z10 site but it will not accept it.

So now I'm unable to wipe the z10, or change the ID info to make it usable when required. I also noticed, online, there are instructions for the new OS 10.3.2 informing us that no wiping ability to Protect is disabled. There is no instructions on how to so that when a problem arises like mine.

    Help, please.

I searched for a solution and I finally found one that works. It was posted by asokhay about a week ago and is as follows:

    "I found the solution!

I connected my passport for Blackberry link and clicked on "back up and restore" in the left navigation tab. Then I clicked on Factory Reset. He asked me to unplug the unit and when I did the wipe of security has started to happen. "

This works, however when I wipe the phone it took about 30 minutes. By reading this forum I found that some wipes can take several hours to complete depending on the amount of material is on the cell phone.  As I could not ' t register anything before this wipe I have to start over from the beginning. " Fortunately my wife added very little to the phone, such as applications or photos.

  • BlackBerry Z10 Z10 "Please wait while your device is the software update and restart"

Sorry if this question has been asked elsewhere but I searched and could not find an answer the applies to my particular situation.

I have a Z10 on Bell who got an automatic update this morning (I have no note of my operating system version number or the version that I was updating to) and the phone is locked to the prompt "Please wait while your device is the software update and restart."  Update messages said it would take a lot of time and that I should connect my phone if it was less than 20% of battery.

The Bell's Web site indicates that the version of the software is 10.3.2.2168 and the latest version of the OS is 10.3.2.2252.  I don't know how many times this site is updated, but I guess that's the version that I am trying to update?

The phone is not fixed... I can see messages turn on the lock screen and interact with the phone to get a glimpse of these messages, but if I try to unlock the phone, the message block appears above any function, I tried to launch (whether a text message, the camera, an email, etc) and I can't interact with the phone at that time otherwise than to lock again and open the lock screen up.

At the time wherever I drag, the prompt.

The prompt on the phone for about 6 hours now.  The battery was full this morning and had exhausted 70%, but I've since plugged.

I have not tried a batt pull because I'm afraid of the consequences of this action after the launch of the update.

Everyone knows this and had the phoen back? I know that 6 hours is well past any reasonable wait times in my books and was strongly tempted to restart the device... but is there here experts who recommended that I continue to wait?

I forgot to mention that the power button was still working to give the ability to power off the unit.

In the end, I couldn't wait any longer.  I put off the device "no risk" with the power button, rather than using the battery pull method.  I turned on the camera back later and the blackberry logo appeared.  The screen faded faded black and no lights appeared on the phone.

I could hit to swipe down to get the blackberry logo to return to the screen, but no startup loading progress screen never wouldn't come.

I could never get to the home screen, but the phone was actually 'ON' below.  I could call the phone and it should sound, but there is no visual indication that the phone was working and there was no way to respond.  Sliding down to unlock simply revealed the word "blackberry" in the middle of the screen.

I did a Batt pull and this time, the logo appeared as before, but disappeared forever... and then the progress of boot screen appear.

The words 'from 10 Blackberry OS' were visible on the bottom and rotate it beween this and "install updates".

Start-up took a LOT of time (15-20 minutes?) but after that, everything was fine.

Displayed software update version information and it is indeed updated to 10.3.2.2168.

  • Z10 Z10 blackBerry does not connect to the mobile network

I live in an apartment and sometimes when I get a no signal (like the elevator or the basement) location in a place where there should be a signal strong, the Z10 I have isn't always connect to it. Instead, I see that the network is listed as "SOS" or "302-500".

My ISP is Wind Mobile to the Canada. The Z10 is a factory-unlocked directly from Blackberry. I already changed the SIM card once, but it didn't seem to help.

Try this: settings, network and connections, Mobile network, manual network selection Mode change.

It should automatically scan, can take a few minutes, when the Scan stops choose wind, do not choose any others listed will not work.

Had problems after synchronization and backup, 9900 wouldn't restart, was able to complete wipe through restorative local mobile (Brisbane, Australia).

restore all data desktop, everything works, receive/send txt, phone.

receive emails, can not answer or create new messages.

Message: 'no message service set up, you will be directed to the configuration wizard to configure an e-mail account. fact that then 'check updates'

then ask name Blackberry user Id (email address) I entered

then Blckberry ID password I grabbed what I thought was correct.

I used the same password I use for the BB9900, but is not accepted, and continues to ask for ID and password, I saw that if the BB has been "erased" which a new ID? Password must be registered. Tried to register again, would not.

If by that, you mean your device lock password, these powers are separated. ID of BB is the way that you associate your BB to BB - VRD and contains accreditation is very clean, which are separate from your password locking device, your credentials from the account of electronic mail and all other things.

It seems that you do not know your credentials BBID, forcing you to reset the password:

    • KB28685 How to reset the BlackBerry ID password by using the password recovery question

Note carefully that the reset password email is not, for reasons of security, delivered to your BB... so you will need to access non - BB to the e-mail account associated with your BB ID.

    Good luck!

  • Incomplete restore of the backup bookmark

Save my Firefox bookmarks in the correct way to "import and backup" button in Firefox. He created a JSON file. But when I tried to restore my Firefox (same version) in another computer, nearly half of my bookmarks (links and folders) are missing.

I checked the JSON file and I see of course that all is there since the original browser. But the feature of "restore" (NOT "import") in Firefox does not recover all of the data in the JSON file.

In any way that the JSON file has been modified. Why?

Try to delete or rename the places.sqlite file run and see if it works better with a soft places.sqlite that Firefox will create.

You can also check the JSON backup content to see what text is in the position where the import stops.

You can open the file in Notepad (Firefox/tools > Web Developer) and click on the "Pretty Print" button for easier inspection.
