  The monitor should have a TB and adapter power connector. The monitor works on both OSX. ? If so, shut down of windows, connect monitor and start Windows. Your TB 2012 monitor is not plug-and-play with Windows.

  I've went ahead with the installation of Windows RTM 8.1 and took the risk that Checkpoint would not be compatible.

  I was able to uninstall Checkpoint, as part of the upgrade of Windows 8.1 window and subsequently install Checkpoint endpoint connect successfully.

  Therefore, I am happy to say that for our Organization and our version of the control point, it is looking like it is fully compatible with Windows 8.1.

  This morning, I received a message from Firefox indicating that a new version (33.1) Firefox is available - so I took the auto-update feature. Since the update, I found that Firefox can no longer connect to the internet. Suspect a firewall issue, I disabled firewall Symantec Endpoint and found that Firefox suddenly worked again. Since it is a working PC, I have to keep the active firewall (and I like to do anyway). Symantec does not seem to have any ability to add individual programs as exceptions. We have the ability to allow all IP traffic, or just IP application traffic.
  The new Firefox is simply incompatible with Symantec Endpoint? Why the version that I had (33.0.3 if I'm not mistaken) would have worked without problem?
  As another detail, I would add that when I click on the handler Extension/add-on in Firefox, I see that protection against vulnerabilities Symantec 12.3.0.3 - 1 is not compatible with Firefox 33.1; I guess that's part of the problem? (And if so, should I contact Symantec?)

  Hello! Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, Symantec Endpoint does not allow the user to set individual permissions for applications (even at the level of the administrator). However I solved the problem! I realized that the version of Symantec Endpoint installed on my PC has been 12.4111.4516, and that there is a version more recent (12.5) available. My server of the company does not notify me of new versions of software available - but after I installed 12.5, everything works again. For the other user who also has this problem, even if you do not have access to 12.5, you can see if you can reinstall Symantec Endpoint to see if it works for you.

  You can try to configure the display on a very low resolution just to test if the option back. If it comes the problem is related to the video card is not able to support a higher resolution.   This sounds like a connector defective display to your laptop screen or a defective display.
  I advise to connect the laptop to a stand-alone PC monitor via VGA - if the desktop icons appear on the external monitor, then you know that there is no software based with your laptop problem
  Once you have the monitor plugged press F4 and then select "Duplicate" on the external monitor
  I then call the HP Support and take a picture of what is displayed on your monitor potentially defective - they should replace the screen for you if its still under warranty or re - connect the connector of the screen for you. If the issue is not on the screen of laptop computers and you will see the same problem on the external monitor then your GPU can be at fault which can also be replaceable if under warranty.

  I would like to ask you for advice with "vpn sysopt connection permit". I have a problem with by-pass-access list (acl) in the INSIDE interface. As I understand it and I'm going to use this command, there is no need to especialy allow traffic in the access list for the INSIDE and I can control the filter-vpn traffic. But in my case it's quite the opposite, I want particularly to this INTERIOR acl traffi. When I allow this traffic inside acl L2L tunnel rises, hollow traffic flow vpn-fltr ane acl that everything is OK.   The command "sysopt connection permit-vpn" is the default setting and it applies only to bypass ACL interface to the interface that ends the VPN. It would be connected to the external network interface. This custom has no effect on the other interfaces ACL interface.

  So if you initiate or need to open connections from your local network to remote network through the VPN L2L connection then you will need to allow this traffic on your LAN interface ACL networks.

  If the situation was that only the remote end has launched connections to your network then 'sysopt permit vpn connection' would allow their connections around the external interfaces ACL. If If you have a VPN configured ACL filter, I think that the traffic will always accompany against this ACL.

  You can't use the wireless connection and the message that the DNS server is not responding.

  The problem may occur if the computer is unable to connect to the DNS server.

  To check, I suggest you follow the steps:

  Method 1: Re-register the DNS

   

  a. Click Start. Type cmd in the search box and press ENTER.

  b. at the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:
  ipconfig/flushdns (there is a space between ipconfig and /)

  It will display the message properly emptied the cache of DNS resolution.

  c. at the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:
  ipconfig/registerdns (there is a space between ipconfig and /)

  d. at the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:

  ipconfig/all (there is a space between ipconfig and /)
  The command ipconfig/all command displays for all your network adapters, TCP/IP in Windows settings.

  If your IP address of your Local network connection is 0.0.0.0 or 169.x.x.x (where x is a number any), then your computer does not receive an IP address from router.
  If this is the case, try this:

  i. enough at the command prompt ipconfig and press ENTER

  II. ipconfig / renew in command prompt and press ENTER

  The test again by typing ipconfig/all to see what is the address? (If you are on a router, it should start by or 192.168.0.x or 192.168.1.x 10.x.x.x)

  Method 2:

  a. click Start and then click Control Panel.

  b. go to the networking and sharing Center and then click on change adapter settings.

  c. right-click on connection to the Local network and select Properties.

  d. Select Internet Protocol Version 6, and then click Properties.

  e. choose the DNS server to obtain an address automatically , then press Ok.

  f. Select obtain IP address automatically.

  g. Repeat steps for Internet Protocol version 4 as well.

  Check the cause

  To check the cause of the problem:

  1. Log in as root to the ESX host using a SSH client.
  1. In the file etc/opt/vmware/vpxa/vpxa.cfg, find the IP address of the host. The entry looks like:

  1. Backup the file vpxa.cfg with the command:

  It's too generic to mean anything. The application is hidden the real error message. You got when you did the tnsping and obtained "TNS-12535: TNS:operation has expired. Now THAT's an error.

  This indicates a problem firewall and routing. You said earlier you could ping the server, but now we see tnsping fails. Two different protocols of usage, so that both the successful ping turns out a valid physical path, it guarantees not that all traffic will pass. What happens with

  I'm new here and I have the following problem.

  Four months after buying the PC (Satellite-Z930-103) I had a battery problem. Suddenly the orange led blinking and the laptop could not be launched. Toshiba service replaced the battery and everything worked fine for about two months. Then the same thing happened again. Because I was working in China, I opened the laptop and disconnected the battery and can be used with the charger connected.

  The PC was sent to a point of service when I arrived at home, where they still indicated a battery problem and offered to change the battery. Because the warranty was expired, I had to pay for it. I refused, because the price they were charging was 300 euros.

  To the surprise... when I received it from the point of service, they have reconnected the battery and the service report said "computer does work well, no fault found '...

  Since I started my fight with Toshiba support and tried to find me a solution.   Satellite Z930 is very nice machine designed for mobile use and I am really sorry to hear that you have such problems. I imagine that you can't find some identical threads on this forum so I hope this isn't a "general problem" with this machine.

  I am not a technician but I can't imagine this problem described has something to do with the settings of the software. In the BIOS, you cannot change a large part and in windows, there is a standard Windows power settings and several Toshiba avancΘs.
  Electronic power placed in the motherboard has a few 'standard' functions and switch automatically between battery and power running.

  I can't say for sure, but I guess there must be some problem with electronic power supply. It is not easy to say what the problem is here, and I really wonder that Toshiba service provider was not able to identify the reason why all this is happening.
