  In my Contacts (OS X 10.10.5, Contacts 9.0), I somehow ended up with FOUR groups under "iCloud":

  All the iCloud

  Contacts

  My Contacts

  Phone

  I don't explicitly consciously create these groups.  Can someone explain the difference between them?  AND can someone tell me how to combine them.  I would like to have all my contacts in a group, in iCloud.  I've searched documentation mac and tried all sorts of searches on google, but nothing helped.

  It would be difficult to explain the differences between them, such as those that have been created by you. I know that all iCloud will be a list of all your contacts as others would have been created by you. Now you can delete the Group and it will not erase the contacts in their breast.

  Select the group in the Contacts application and then click on remove. You will be asked if you want to delete the Group and click on delete. This will then remove the Group and if you look under all the iCloud, contacts will always be there.

  Hi, Ive just receive my new defy + after using the normal challenge for a few months.

  I can't seem to find a way to "connect" my contacts, before I was able to connect for example facebook a contact contact in my address book so that they would appear as a single person.

  Im not sure if this is something android or what...

  The option is still there, but in a deeper menu.

  When you open a contact, press the menu button, then "edit contact", then the button menu once again, there is an option to 'join '. Once joined, you will find an option to 'split' the common contacts again.

• Between in contact with Stuck in Cloud connectors (update: no more)

  We have expereiced a number of issues today where contacts were stuck in cloud connector program steps, for an unusual amount of time.  Someone has seen something similar?

  By using the form submit CC, there were about 63 stuck (at least 8 hours and at a time of Contact data normalizer, there are thousands, blocked for more than 12 hours.

  Problem seems to be resolved. Members are moving now.  I'll return when they all went through stages of cc.

  Can someone tell me what went wrong, and how the Eloqua production solved?   If anything, I would like to know how to quickly fix in the case where it recurrs.

  You did great on that. You can check your contacts using the web mail icloud.com if it is there. If the contacts are not there you might have save it to your other email address

• Still not get 2016 Outlook and Contacts calendar to synchronize with iCloud. iCloud data file has not been in Outlook but iCloud add-in is enabled.

  I use Windows 10 (v1511), 2016 Outlook Office 365 and iCloud 5.2. Mail is downloaded directly to Google mail Outlook. Calendar and Contacts live in iCloud and work properly in my iPhone, iPad and the app iCloud on the PC. Its just perspective that is not sync with iCloud to get these items.

  In outlook, the Setup program is not set up a data iCloud file ' * APLZOD.pst ' in the account tab data file settings. When you try to install a new data file in Outlook in account settings, the iCloud type available, but when you select what the error message says that this cannot be set in the iCloud Control Panel

  I tried several complete removal and then re - installs to iCloud for windows and have also done with the firewall and antivirus disabled active.

  I also deleted the Outlook data file * *.ost and allowed the installation program rebuild this application fee.

  The same problem.  I use iCloud for Windows 5.2 and Windows 10, 2016 office.   Everything worked well for several months until a few months ago, when sync calendar has stopped working.   I've updated iCloud of 5.1 to 5.2 but that just killed altogether.  Tried uninstalling icloud and relocation costs.  No luck.  When the iCloud settings appears, I check the box for the calendar and Contacts.  The driver then disappears.   I check again and it sticks.  But no messages on 'configure '.   When I close and reopen, the box is unchecked.   A few days ago I had the same problems the other another thread where he would show "set up" spinning forever (well, 30 minutes before giving up).   Not sure if it's an Apple problem or a problem of office.  But this is of course a problem.

  I see a lot on the other hand... but I need help.  I spent hours on my reductive duplicates of MAC (2-3 each) and out Hung old addresses, etc..  I've narrowed my list of contacts from 1200 to 458.  Once I did, I have archived my new list of contacts "just in case."  When I go in iCloud on my computer, I see 458 contacts.  Large.  However, my iPad and iPhone are always a mess.  I thought that this was happening in iCloud would replace the junk on my devices.  I have read articles that said disable contacts in iCloud and it will ask you what you want to do with contacts - delete.  Yes, I did.  It has eliminated about 90 contacts and that's it.  Also, I went to all my e-mail and accounts disabled using contacts from gmail, yahoo, outlook etc.  Who does nothing either.

  Summary: What's in my account iCloud, 458 contacts, is correct.  Now, how the hell do I clean my iphone and ipad and load these 458 contacting them and get rid of the 1200-1500 in each device now?  Waaaah.   Very frustrating that there is not a global deletion that I can find.

  Contacts are not saved, but rather synchronized with icloud. In order to be synchronized, they would need to be at the very least not synchronized with something else.

  For example with Google or Yahoo. Usually, if you have multiple contacts sources when you open contacts app you would see 'groups '. When you click on groups, you would see groups of the source, example - I see icloud, gmail, yahoo and facebook. Only icloud group would be synchronized with icloud.

  Somewhere along the line a update in iOS 9.x (and later Developer), a group called "all the iPhone" appeared on my iPhone, and became the default group for new entries. I put on 20 or 30 entries there until I realized what was happening. I figured out how to turn off as default location, but now I can't figure out how to get these entries in the iCloud group, so I can see them on my Mac and iPad.

  No idea how I can do this? That ' all the iPhone "group is not visible anywhere but on my iPhone, and there is no way that I know how to move contacts between groups on the iPhone.

  Hello parkerpress,

  I understand that you see the contacts that are not stored in iCloud and are eager to get there. It's something I can help you with.

  This can be easily accomplished by simply disabling iCloud contacts, keep in touch on your iPhone and then switch Contact back to merge them with iCloud. Take a look at the procedure described below for more details.

  Have had this problem for awhile now...  Has been hoping the new iPhone 7 and macOS Sierra can solve it but not...

  When I'm in messages (iPhone) and I add a contact, the thread goes to the person... but that never, the contact appears in Contacts.app and is never synchronized to iCloud.

  I tried to disable and re-enable contacts to iCloud unsuccessfully... but if the contact has ever entered in 'contacts', it makes sense that he never gets to iCloud.

  I wonder how this is supposed to work, if a Mac and iPhone are synchronized with iCloud User Library.
