Black screen after the Welcome screen

About 2 weeks ago, my wife had the icons on the home screen turn into white shadows and then the next start the computer it started properly (I guess), but once he spent the home screen to his profile (desktop) the screen went black. The mouse pointer is still on the screen and can be moved, but there is no bottom. If you Ctrl-alt-del the good screen comes up with the correct graphics. I tried to restore to an earlier date without result. She said that there was an update to adobe that it can ar may not have executed before the problem. I also tried last good configuration known without help. If I boot in the Safemode with networking, I have a black background, but the desktop icons are restored to normal. Don't want to run in safe mode for always. The ulitimate in Vista is an upgrade and not the version full and will not fix the problem.

Hello

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel - device
Manager - graphics card - Double click on - driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - then right click
on devices and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

Another method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure)
CTRL + ALT + DELETE and on the tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS on this subject - then
on the Applications tab - lower right - new task - type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is reached
by tapping F8 as you start several times.

First check this thread in case it is simple and if not to come back to this thread.

Black screen problems are extremely difficult to repair and all patch is usually on a base hit or miss.
That there is no information on a black screen as it is on a blue screen just adds to the
Difficulty. Often using a restore point or Startup Repair will have no effect. You can try a
Google to see the proposed repairs, whom some have worked however these cover a wide
field efforts.

Here's a video of one of them.

  • WITH video card driver, windows freezes after 10 seconds after the Welcome screen, WITHOUT a driver, it works fine

    Hi guys,.

I recently had the problem that when I start my computer, it freezes after 10 seconds when I saw the Welcome screen.
I'm in safe mode, it works perfectly fine. I have uninstall ALL my Nvidia drivers and then restart the computer in normal mode, and then everything works fine. I go to the Nvidia website again, download the latest drivers and the same freezing problem happens again. I also tried with older drivers provided by Nvidia, still the same problem.
Completely, I formatted my HDD and reinstalled Windows 7. I install drivers Nvidia and the same problem again.
    I have a Nvidia Geforce 250GTS
The processor is Intel Duo Core converted E6850 (boxed)
4 GB of Ram DDR2 Ram
East of card mother ASRock G31M-S

Everyone knows that the problem is?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad English, I tried my best :)

    Hello.

The video card drivers enable the features of the card to use.  When in safe mode or with no driver installed only the basic functions of the card are used.  If the card is faulty, which is more likely, the defective part of the map has probably come into play with the full drivers installed.  This explains why it works with the Basic setting.

    See you soon.

    Hi Abbeda,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. you receive an error message?

When you start in safe mode, the display card drivers are not loaded on the computer, it is possible that the display adapter driver is corrupted.

I suggest that you start the computer in mode Activate Video VGA and then install the latest drivers for display on the computer card and check.

    (a) remove all unnecessary devices in your computer, such as printers, scanners and removable storage devices.

    (b) restart the computer.

    (c) keep pressing the F8 key until the Windows Startup menu appears.

    (d) select enable low-resolution video (640 * 480) option and press ENTER.

  • Strange black gap after the title screen

    Hello

I have a simple screen with a LabelField I put as a title. After that, I add a SeperatorField to the screen. Since I use a color different than black for the background of my title field, I can see a black area about 5 pixels between where ends the title field and the field separator. This happen when running with OS 4.6.

When you run the same code on a simulator with OS 4.5, there is no such black gap.

Someone has seen this before and may know a work around? I already tried all possible settings as a zero margin and margin inner but not luck so far.

  • InDesign crashes after the Welcome screen appears

My InDesign CC had an update yesterday. Since when I run it now it crashes on the homescreen, I had turned it off before somehow in the contents of the package, but the update caused, he appears again, causing the program to freeze and make me force restart the computer with the power button. There is no option to stop even appear in the preferences. This happened with Photoshop and Illustrator before too. I have a screenshot of what looks like the home screen; Somehow, he goes all blurry and stained so I can't select something to say "don't show this again". I can not find any topic on this solution as it kept coming up with Photoshop. I use an iMac 20 inch Late 2006 OS X Lion (which is pretty slow!) with a 2 GB SDRAM. Tried contacting Adobe via chat but they do not have anyone to help me. Here is the image:

    Screen Shot 2015-02-13 at 11.56.48.png

I now have this sort, Adobe rang back me and helped me via remote access. They have deleted a file in the contents of the package (I thought to do this, but didn't know where to go or what to remove, think it was called "What's New" or something) and it works fine now. They told me NOT to update InDesign for a while until they know it will work ok once, do not want the same thing happens everywhere!

Happened the first time when I got so InDesign CC, which was strange, but the update does happen!

    Thanks for your help, guys!

  • Does not start after the welcome except in safe mode screen

The only way I can get into my hard drive is to start in safe mode.  I have run the disk permissions, repairing the disk booted recovery and reisntalled Mavericks, but nothing that it seems to do, will fix the problem.  I use an iMac mid-2010, Mavericks - 10.9.5 processor is 302 GHz intel core I3 and 4 GB of memory, 1333 MHz DDR3.  I have a return of my machine of time from 2013, should I try that or eliminating what I have now?  Can I backup my data to Time Machine now, while in safe mode?  Please advise, I am suffering from withdrawel =)

Chances are you have 3rd party software installed that will not be booted without failure.

Use EtreCheck to get a list of all the 3rd party software.  If you like you can post the result here and someone will probably see what could be causing your problems.

  • After the welcome, the screen goes blank with the pointer of the mouse only.

little time later virus scan comes up, by clicking on the close X Open IE to their web site, giving me access to the internet. Some time the error message later "host process for windows services stopped working and was closed". Occationally œuvres "error loading c:\windows\system 32\newdev.dll dynamic library initialization routine links (DLL) failed" safe mode. Tried windows recovery of F8 boot minimum, sfc/scannow, chkdsk/f/r, windows recovery disk, fix software reg, norton 360. Can open my computer browser, tried to run solitaire open saved the game box, but no other graphics. Reduced browser windows appear at the bottom of the desktop. Running vista Home premium service pack 2 on toshiba satellite L355-57902

Given that safe mode works, start in safe mode and do a system restore to a restore point before the show.

Note: If the system is infected with the virus, the system restore would NOT remove the virus.

What resulted sfc/scannow? He did a report errors?

Registry patches are false and I advise anyone using these cleansers to stay away from them.

Have you had the chance to do a safe mode virus scan?

Try ESET (http://www.eset.com/online-scanner) or a virus scan online Kaspersky (http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner).

Download Malwarebytes anti-malware and scan your computer (from safe mode with network that is):

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/

    Finally, do a repair installation:

Back up all your data and do a clean install, if you feel that your computer be compromised anyway.
