Black screen HP laptop computer 2000

I watched a video projection of youtube the black screen problems is due to the Söder on the video chip.

I encounter this problem on a Hp 2000-329WM laptop that I am trying. I have connected an external monitorr and the only thing is the cursor? I tried removing the battery, power down the turn button and did not work. When you start sometimes I see the words, then he spends a light gray screen? There is no flashing light? I assure you, there is no further action that I could try before I have spend the money to replace the motherboard?

Can anyone help?

Thank you

Dave

SALVATION;

I'm having the same problem? Have you managed to find a way to solve the problem? I feel the same way, I don't want to replace the motherboard if it is a different problem?

I hope you can reply back anyway?

Thank you

Dave

  • Start the computer to black screen and the computer runs hot

    original title: sick Vista laptop

    My daughter portable computer began acting strangely very yesterday.

    Once connected, I get a black screen and a cursor.  The system seems to work at full speed, because I can hear the fan, and it runs very hot.  No matter how long it sits, the desktop does not appear.

    I can use Ctrl-alt-del to display the Task Manager.  The list of processes is limited to the process of the current user, and none of them use important CPU. If I click on 'See the process for all users', taskmanager freezes and I have to disconnect to get rid of him.

    Using the Task Manager, I can kill the process Explorer and then start it again, date at which I get my desktop.  However, it is still running hot and noisy.  With the help of SysInternals ProcessExplorer, there is no process using any important CPU.  Most of the time CPU is reported as inactive.

    I don't know what to think.  A boot loader took over the system?  A hardware problem?  OS corrupted files?

    Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.

    Restore point:

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/

    Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

    Read the above for a very good graph shows how backward more than 5 days in the System Restore Points by checking the correct box.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
  • HP Envy 15 notebook PC C8P47AV: black screen on laptop and also when I connect to monitor
    When I turn on my laptop I can see only a black screen.  I don't quite see the HP logo.  The hard drive seems to be spinninge I can hear the fan and the lights on the wireless and the caps lock are functional; believe so everything works well except the video.  I tried to connect to a monitor via HDMI, but you still get black screen after trying the F4 key.  There is no beep codes or the upcoming diagnostic lights.  Before I lost the video, I had taken the laptop fan because there was a message that he did not work properly.  Turned out a screw was stuck in there.  I removed the screw and replace the fan in.  Everything closed and turned on the laptop - no video.  I tried to re-seating the RAM.  Basically, I would like to see if people think it's the motherboard or the video chip that is the question; in this case, I'm going to buy a new laptop because motherboard costs about $200.  Also if anyone knows if there is a diagnosis of material that I could run that might give some beep codes.  I think that Dell has something where you hold D down and power on the phone to start the diagnostics.  Full disclosure this laptop fell a few times as well, so this problem can only await the right time appear.
    @gman2,
    Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forums.  If you can, nothing appears on the screen or enter the bios at all this means you have a hardware problem.  You will need to contact the HP support by phone for repair at this point.
  • Windows Vista won't load - black screen each laptop time starts
    I have a Dell Insipron 1525, which does not load Windows Vista.
    I can't go past the Recovery Manager screen every time you start, and although I tried all the options available, it does not open in safe mode or normally.
    I tried the system restore (even if it says that it cannot find valid 'points'), as well as the repair of the system, and I have also run the Diagnostics, who said there is no error (although I could not see the final report). All paths lead ultimately to the black screen and although I can see and move the cursor, it is that I can get. Any ideas please?
    Thank you very much!
  • Black screen when the computer starts.
    Original title: Windows startup
    Since today, when I start my computer (windows 7), he crosses to the Welcome to windows screen, then goes to a black screen with just the active mouse - no office. I used ctrl-alt-del and looked at the running processes. There were 2 'runonce' process running, and when I stopped one, it is loaded on the desktop. This happens everytime I turn on the computer. Is there any solution for this?
    Hello
    Thank you for visiting Microsoft Community.
    From the description of the problem, I can understand that your computer goes to a black screen after login. I would be grateful if you can provide us with the following information to help us better understand the issue.
    1. What happens when you right click the mouse on the black screen. Do you get the options?
    2. What is the brand and model of your computer?
    Especially this problem appears due to lack, corrupt or incompatible display driver problem, however, there may be other causes as third-party programs collide, virus/malware etc as well attack.
    You can try these methods mentioned below and check if it helps:
    Method 1: Please follow the suggestions listed in the link below:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/why-is-my-screen-black-when-i-start-Windows-7
    Method 2: I suggest you to run Microsoft Safety Scanner to search for viruses and malware and remove if necessary.
    The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.
    Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again. The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
    Hope this information was helpful and let us know if you need more assistance. We will be happy to help.
  • Black screen after the computer updated
    My day was fine.  I had trouble getting my computer and printer to recognize each other, so I restarted my computer.  We are running Windows 8, I think.  It could be Windows 8.1.  Before it restarted, it finished installing some updates automatically.  When the computer is back to the top, I logged as usual.  Then got a black screen.  We rebooted and powered up the computer turned off several times, but can not further than black screen, unless I hit control, alt, delete and open Task Manager.  How can I fix it so I can use my computer again?
    Hi Nikki,
    I suggest you try the steps suggested by Scott Atk from the following link:
  • HP laptop computer 2000 PC: USB Port
    Hi, have questions about the USB ports on my laptop HP 2000.
    I know when I put my laptop into hibernation mode turns off USB ports.
    But reaction place my laptop mode 'sleep', in my opinion, the USB ports are still functional.
    My question is the USB ports put the same amount of energy in standby mode as when the laptop is in full operational mode?
    I ask because I have a battery charger USB for two AA rechargeable battery, and it takes too long tocharge them. I put the laptop mode "sleep" during the night and if the USB port is putting less, it would be understandable.
    Hope someone can help, thanks, Pat011
    Hi @Pat011,
    Yes, this setting will allow mode even in Hibernation mode.
    Thank you.
  • HP 17-g121wm: goes black screen, but the computer still running (Linux)
    I use HP 17-g121wm laptop. The screen turns off at random 2-5 minutes after the start, sometimes earlier. The computer will still run, but the screen will be black (the backlight seems to stay lit, however). Any buttons I press on, nothing makes the screen back on, so I have to press the power button to turn off the laptop and back on.
    This problem does not occur when I start in Windows, but when I boot in Linux (I tried Ubuntu and Arch linux), the problem persists.
    I tried to boot with the kernel parameter 'nomodeset' grub, but when I do that I can't enter a graphical environment, because the amdgpu driver is based on Kernel Mode Set (KMS) without nomodeset.
    I prefer to use Linux on this laptop for programming and development, preferably of Arch Linux. So, any help would be greatly appreciated.
    jreynaud1
    I run Linux distributions on my desktop PC and from your description, the problem is almost certainly the lack of video drivers, especially in the case of the AMD video chipsets.
    I'm not familiar with the Ark, but I don't know with Ubuntu, which I had problems driver AMD for several versions now, and the last, Xenial 16.04, fglrx drivers simply will NOT work because they are not supported with the new version of the kernel and will not be - as AMD is working on a new driver open source to replace fglrx.
    HP forums provides no support for Linux issues, if my suggestion is to check with the forums Linux appropriate for each distribution.
    In addition, as you use a video chipset AMD, you might find the info you need on the Phoronix forums: AMD/ATI Linux - Phoronix Forums
    Good luck
  • Laptop screen orientation from landscape to A4, I moved the cursor on the screen. Laptop computer now starts in A4 direction too. Help!
    Note: I use my old desktop PC (Windows XP) for you to explain the problem with my laptop (Windows 7).
    Problem:
    The last thing I did on my laptop did was move the cursor when, suddenly, the screen image went from landscape (which is the normal display) to A4 (i.e. through 90 degrees).  I must add that due to a health problem I lost some feeling in my hands a fingers which does not help when I press the button and move the slider. Therefore, it is more likely that I inadvertently changed the orientation of the screen somehow.
    There was no notice given on the screen to change.
    I shut down the computer, waited a few minutes and started again.  The orientation of the wrong screen reappears.
    As I am not a COMPUTER buff, by any stretch of the imagination, I don't know how to provide you with a screenshot if you need.
    Thanks for any help you can give,
    Derek
  • Pavilion g6t-2000 black screen & Sleep Mode problem
    Features of the laptop:
    Name: HP Pavilion g6t-2000 CTO Notebook
    CPU: Intel I3 - 2370 m 2.4 GHz, Intel HD 3000
    GPU: AMD Radeon HD m 7670
    OS: Windows 7 64-bit
    So over the past two weeks, I have been having a problem with my laptop after installation of an update to the beta with my GPU driver. Whenever I put my computer to sleep mode and turn on I get a black screen. The computer is turned on and set to lock the screen, so if I typed my password, it'll make the connection noise. Also, if I look at the right angle, I see a very dimmed screen which is there before I moved it in mode 'sleep'. Strangely when I put the laptop in hibernate mode and turn back on the screen is fine.
    Things I've tired:
    • Removed the beta driver and the GPU of HP drivers installed via the HP website
    • Update BIOS f.25 (latest driver)
    • Changed the power of options such as checking to see if hybrid sleep is turned off
    • Check the BIOS, it is very little options and none has to do with my problems. Only thing I can see on BIOS is to change the boot priority and enable and disable the little features like "fan always on / off", etc.
    • Running sfc/scannow
    On a side note, my laptop has been dropped about a week BEFORE the update to the beta GPU on a foot of my bed. "Sleep" mode was not affected by what I know. I was also reading autour on a power inverter and there may be possible that it has been damaged and if you think it is maybe it how can I test it? Thank you.
    I finally got the time to do a restore on my HP Pavilion laptop factory g6t-2000 settings and after doing a test with the AMD drivers, I discovered that drivers AMD were the problem holding my laptop to wake up full-screen mode 'sleep'. Thank you very much for your help AxshunJaxun.
    I recommend to not install the AMD drivers and once you do and that you do not have a restore point the only solution is a factory restore settings.
  • Black screen after leaving the computer idle for some time.
    Original title: Black screen
    Laptop screen starts to turn black every few seconds so I don't use it to take a short break.  The only way to get back the screen is to move a finger on the mouse pad, otherwise, it is just black.  The only way to stop what is happening is to switch off the laptop, wait a few moments and then turn on laptop.  But if I take another short break, this cycle repeats.  Any ideas please.
    Hello
    To provide the proper resolution, I would need more information on your side.
    (1) did you last changes made on the computer prior to this problem?
    (2) did you put the screensaver in a vacuum?
    (3) do you have any particular power on your computer(sleep/hibernate) model?
    This problem can occur if the screen saver is put under vacuum.
    I suggest you to set the screen saver because none and check if it helps. To configure the screensaver to zero, follow the steps described in the article.
    Change your screen saver
    I use family Vista premium and everything worked right up until the other day. My computer froze and I stopped it to restart. After the reboot, it gave me the ability to start windows normally or in safe mode. I selected at startup of windows. After that, I got was a black screen. The computer is still running, I can hear the fans and the ligts are on.
    I have been looking for a solution to this problem and would really like to fix it myself. I tried all the options menu-f, but all I get is the black screen. Vista came pre installed on my computer, so I don't have the cd/dvd of Vista.
    Please help me if you can.
    Hello
    May I ask what computer do you have?
    Why you n t post this important information?
    You can start in safe mode? Maybe a driver or a virus has something confused upward in the Windows registry and the computer can start t more correctly.
    In the worst case, you must reinstall Windows using Toshiba recovery disc. :(
