  I'm running out of ideas on how repair this laptop so I thought I would ask here. Like so many other people with these portable mine seemed to go right after my warranty expires.   I want to just update to anyone who seems to have the same problems as me.

  I finally had time to replace the CPU and specifications works fine now. It seems the controller memory on the old CPU came out and was causing memory to not be detected properly and causing graphic errors. Before you spend money on a new motherboard, you may want to consider the processor as the problem.

  Now if only I can figure out how to keep it from cooking itself...
