  I bought my 8800 1 year, 2 months ago - ideally past the 1 year warranty.  My trackball works in all directions except for left which seems very strange.  It is impossible to call the RIM without them charge me something to talk with them and Cingular / AT & T says there is nothing they can do that the phone is no longer under warranty.  Any ideas?

  The same thing happened to me. My trackball moved to the top, left and right... but not down. Big problem! So I google "blackberry trackball" and found this link useful:

  I took mine such share as specified in the instructions and cleaned the "wheels" - and it works fine now. Hope this helps.

  The trackball on my new tour is not very sensitive.  I adjusted the horizontal and vertical sensitivity and I am still having no luck.  It's just a phone faulty or is - this one falls of this new phone?

• BlackBerry smartphone Trackball is broken

  Today the trackball on my 8220 steadily to go to the right.  I go to a T-Mobile tomorrow store to swap out.  Physically, it moves to the right.  My fingers sliding on top but the ball doesn't move.  It works well to go left or up and down, but not right.  It's discouraging.  I've been playing with it, learn how a BlackBerry works and finally get the hang of it.

  Is it something unusual or are they subject to rupture?  I don't want to go back, but I can't have a phone that breaks.

  It happens from time to time, but not as frequently as for being a major issue.

  You can search the forums, use the grey search button to find that while he doesn't

• BlackBerry Smartphones screen suddenly went blank & does not

  I went online to FB and I was support out of it, the screen on my Blackberry became white.  It would shut down or anything.  I did a hard reboot, but all that happens is that the white screen.  Any ideas would be more useful.  I went to AT & T where we do most of our activities, does not.  They don't have any idea... What worries me was obviously.

  Looks like you'll have to do a reload of the OS device.

  You have the latest version of the Blackberry Desktop software installed?

  You will also need to download the software of the device of the same binding.

  Choose your carrier, and you will see the links for the Desktop Manager and the software for the device.

  After installing these, open the Fund Manager and connect your device.  It should ask you to install the software on your phone.  I'll try to help you as best I can, but I'm surprised that the store would not charge it for you.

  I got my BB to the store where they replaced the trackball for $10, and he now works as it should. As my warranty has expired for a long time, I was happy with that. Panic at the wire.

  I love my 8830 and other browser limitations, have found very useful and enjoyable to use. However, in the last day or so, the ball started working very erratic. It moves but does not select items on the screen or sometimes even will not open a point when I clicked it. I got the 8830 since March 2008. Since I use it for business and pleasure, he gets a lot of use. Is this common? Is there anything I can do myself to fix this situation? And if not, what should I do? I bought from Verizon. • Autonomy of blackBerry Smartphones died suddenly

  I bought my Blackberry about a month ago and the battery life was pretty good (3 days). Then the other day, I downloaded a few applications (dictionary, flashlight and barcode scanner) and also added lots of music on the phone. Now, the battery life goes just after a few hours. I turned off Bluetooth and WiFi. I don't know what is sucking the life of my battery. I did not go through internet or spoke on the phone. It's just there doing nothing and the battery goes dead.

  I got my curve for about 2 months of working great, but the other day I found while browsing, I can't use the trackball click in links or copy and paste things.

  Just activated two days ago, no problem until this morning. Trackball is completely insensitive to the home screen. After pressing the menu button, it works fine on the biggest application menu.

  Clicking nor scrolling work.

  Help help help, I never had so many problems of sync since upgrading my phone from BB to a BB 9700 Bold.  I've been sync without problem, tried yesterday and it get this message:

  "The default service for 'Calendar' your device is no longer available.  The new synchronization service is (and it shows the same email that I used to use).

  Click OK to continue the synchronization of data with your new default service.

  Click Cancel to stop the clock, review your options of default service on your device and try to use your service of origin by default since the last time you synchronized.  On your device, click the Options, then the Advanced Options > default Services:

  I checked my default Services and my CICAL CMIME both the same and are unchanged.

  So why is that happening?

  Its possible that the service books have been updated with update and Desktop Manager is to see it as a new calendar.

  Back up your BlackBerry

  Follow KB10167 to clear the Calendar database

  Re-sync and add back calendar entries.

  Access your e-mail set up the screen. All you have to do is validate e-mail accounts, clicking on validate & signature with your password.
